Despite the beautiful views and extensive grounds alden park apartments advertises, I urge you not to be fooled! This place is TRASH. First off, the security of a gated community is nonexistent in this apartment complex because the entrance gate to the parking lot has been broken and ajar since I moved in a year ago. This means that all the money I spent on "parking" should be refunded because the parking lot now caters to all of germantown, as opposed to residents only. Additionally, the locking systems for the main doors break constantly, which creates situations where the residents are either locked out of their building completely, or someone has put a brick in the door to leave it open constantly. This raises safety concerns in a big way. Maintenance issues here take months to be addressed. I have about 3 broken appliances and a ceiling that is caving in, and despite putting in many service requests, nobody has shown up to fix these things. And if they did come, the thing they fixed broke again 10 minutes later. It is far too expensive for all of these issues to go unaddressed for this long. Again, if you're thinking about moving here, KEEP LOOKING. You will regret the decision to sign a lease here.

Residents are very helpful and my apartment is spacious and beautiful. However, I do wish they would respond to maintenance issues more timely. Also, the package delivery room is in need of better organization.

While I love the historic charm of this building and scenic grounds, more needs to be done to regulate the buildup of trash accumulation. In addition, the surrounding neighborhood is also dirty and crime ridden which is more than likely a product of the city's overall trash and crime issues.

A bit of trouble going through the leasing part of it but have been extremely happy otherwise. No issues with anything since moving in. Would be nice to know if recyclables are actually being taken separately from trash or not.

I love the look and feel of my unit. Unfortunately, the grounds are not well kept (trash, broken doors, fixtures, dead trees etc). The building is consistently dirty in common areas. Long list of deferred maintenance issues.

It is very hard to communicate with property management and staff when it comes to emergencies.The security in the community could be improved by having guards at every building or a concierge.The company needs more staff in the leasing office to answer phones and help with current residents problems.The apartment complex itself is beautiful with renovated units however management could be 10x better.

The apartments are beautiful, no question about it. However, Management is deplorable and will not work with you. They are a money- sucking machine so beware. They will nickel and dime you for everything they can and come up with a new fees at regular intervals. Be aware of that when you sign the lease and expect increases periodically without notice.

It honestly has been the worst place I've ever lived while paying the most rent! I've been in 3 different apartments, all of which have had major issues that were either not address for months or not at all! There are many housing violations all over the building. My fist apartment here had no water/hot water for a week. I had to go to a hotel! The second had no heat except in the bedroom for 9 months! The fridge never came up to temperature. All of the appliances look newer but almost are always broken In some way. This apartment has had a major flood with a lot of damage to which I was told the floors could be salvaged. Unbelievable! They finally agreed to replace the floors but they are replacing them over wet concrete. All the while we are living in this moldy apartment with all of my stuff that wasn't damaged is all over the place and no help from management. In fact, when they showed up we were threatened by the maintenance person and a leasing agent almost resulting in a physical altercation. Do yourself a favor and do not rent here. It is a slum and I'm getting out as soon as possible. No garbage disposal No trash service. Elevator in C wing broken for weeks Light in parking lot broken for months Parking lot gates broken for months. Package room a mess and unorganized Bathtub has no drain plug. Just a hole in the tub. Can't take a bath. No place to park in the lot. People constantly parking in the fire zone and handicapped spots Poor response from maintenance You have to put in 3 - 4 requests before you even get a response. I have been waiting for a shelf in my freezer for 5 months. How tough is it to drop that off? Also, 6 days ago I put in a service request because my fridge is so warm that my onion started to grow. My request is under review. Most fireplaces do not work. The place needs a complete overhaul just to be brought up to code. The worst.

I wouldn't recommend this complex to my worst enemy. I have mold growing in my unit, my car has been towed in the paid lot, the key fobs to get into the building don't work which in turn have you locked out of the entire complex, and someone was murdered in the parking garage over the summer. This complex should be classified as low income housing because it is a disgrace. I was counting down the days to move OUT after my first week living here.

The only issue I have with Alden park is the package room. I am not sure but over the last few years it's been horrible. I just wish they could have package go into a locker. Have someone at the package room to control the situation

Recently this summer and fall, it appears that both the necessary security and the maintenance of Alden Park Apartments have been adversely affected. This past month of July saw an apparent drug killing in our covered garage parking area, near the Manor Building. It is the first murder within the large, controlled-entry Alden Park Compound in quite a few years. There is now an increased night time security presence, from Thursday through Sunday, at the main Wissahickon Gate entrance, which is the direct route to the parking garage. We hope that it will prevent any other serious altercations in that area. This month of November is now seeing the heating of the entire Kenilworth Building being deficient since Friday, Nov. 12, 2021. And the single, very necessary passenger elevator for the entire "C" Wing of the Manor Building, has been totally non-functioning and out-of-order since Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021. Furthermore, it is believed that this same single elevator, which serves ten floors of the Manor Building Apartments, will not be functioning again until the New Year 2022. ;-(

The community complex is safe and well maintained. Security for the residents is a high priority. The management team is always available for requests. The maintenance team is easily available for requests. The grounds are well maintained and perfect for walking as an exercise routine or walking for leisure. The is a health club facility which includes an indoor pool. The complex is pet friendly.

I have a lovely apartment. That is all. There is no security, gates are broken as are the locks on the exterior doors. The parking lot and entry areas are poorly lit. Packages are stolen routinely. Management is surly on a good day and ineffective the rest of the time.

Very bad service with repairs, mail not safe or dry, and management in VP office very rude, problems persist for months after request for repair. (packages are stolen) No safegaurds for mail. Junk is piled in the B level of the Cambridge bldg. fire hazard. Security doors gates not working ope often, a murder took place in a garage here this year.

My estate manager Justin is amazing. From my initial contact with him, all the way to obtaining the keys to my unit, Justin is a true professional. He listened to my living requirements and the nature of the work demands good communication skills. He was about to recall my situation accurately when I checked in on my unit. It was ready when promised. When dealing with the public and multiple situations simultaneously, Just had the ability to handle pressure, with speed and efficiency. If I need anything I can easily find him for assistance. Alden Park is nice, the amenities are cool but Justin is great. If it weren't for him, I would have moved into another apartment building (and there are a ton nearby) Signed, Current resident.

Kayla has always been professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and her thorough review of the leasing process and apartment complex was the main reason I decided to rent from Alden Park. Im a professional swimmer and I get to swim laps at my own community! The indoor pool is by far my favorite. The property itself feels almost like a rich college campus or a hotel but I get to call it home every day. This was the most space I could find in regards to size home for my money. My apartment is huge, lots of natural lighting and I have more closets than I need. My dog and I do daily runs around the property and she loves the dog park. I am really happy here. I dont have a car at the moment so haven't had to deal with parking. Happy here.

I lived at Alden Park for roughly2 years and over this time I had cockroaches and quite a bad mouse issue, to the extent that mice would get into my food stored on selves in a closet. I also had multiple leaks in my apartment unit ceiling. On one occasion I came home from a weekend away to find most of my kitchen ceiling had fallen on the floor. Another leak has been an ongoing issue and maintenance refuses to address the route cause of the leak, only applying quick fixes that don't actually solve the issue. There have been countless water shut offs, where sometimes I had no water overnight. If I did have water, it took forever to heat up for a shower. The trash is infrequently taken out and piles up in the trash area. It is almost impossible to recieve a package here without it being lost or stolen. I was thrilled to finally be moving out of this place when the roof collapsed and totaled my U-Haul!!!! The windshield was completely destroyed and rebar pierced through the metal roof. Thankfully no one was injured. Unfortunately, Alden Park did absolutely NOTHING to rectify this situation. Their only corncern was moving the truck out of the way, probably because it looked very bad for them. Management even urged me to move the truck myself, which was in an obviously dangerous condition with glass everywhere and under an unsafe roof, instead of waiting for a tow truck! I do not recommend for anyone to move here.

I love my apartment it's very modern and spacious, and Alden Park is a great place to live... as long as you don't need anything. Packages get stolen FREQUENTLY, and there is no plan to staff the package room so it's a true free for all. Also, there's a fruit fly problem. Either the staff here is under resourced or they don't care, but they never answer the office phone and it takes a LOT of persistence to get anyone to do anything.
