Recently had a tour of the property and honestly I was impressed. Amenities were nice and staff was super friendly. My tour was lead by Isiah who was very helpful and friendly, he also made me feel welcomed to the property

Great Experience
My recent experience with the leasing team was amazing. The tour of all of the amenities. I'm so excited about. The indoor pool, the workout rooms, I can't wait to use the. I got lucky and have laundry right outside my unit. Best of all is the dog park, it's really well maintained.

Loved It
Alden park was very clean with beautiful tall buildings. The maintenance staff was very apparent on the site. All of the units I viewed were well kept and each floor visited was super quiet. There is a lot of nature nearby and overall it seems super secure. The amenities are super worth it with out a high fee. The staff is super responsive and friendly making the process seamless.

Very long review As far as the actual apartments, I don't complaints appliances looked new when I moved and I say ample space in apartments. The other stuff is where things go downhill. Security is laughable around, gates are constantly broken, left wide open, now that could be on purpose because the key system for the gate is frequently down, along with the fob not being recognized. Parking I don't blame on management, I think that's out of there control but a presence to check parking decals and get vehicle towed would fix a lot of problems. Maintenance, wow, when I moved in, I had no hot water for a month. And they move at a snails pace. But once fixed, whatever it is stays fixed, I will say that. Now on management/leasing, I have never met a more unresponsive group. Emails or never responded to, oh and don't bother calling you will never reach anyone but a voicemail. The problem the calling is the security/receptionist that takes your call is in a completely different room and she/he transfers to who the think is available, no one ever picks up. This can be easily fix by putting you on hold walking to next room, seeing who's available, asking if they can take a call.. etc.. But maybe that's not allowed. The manager Tess, I literally saw here argue with a resident about bothering her outside of office hours. Wow, I guess going the extra mile don't apply to managers. The package room has gotten way better, that place was like choose your gift, I had countless of things stolen, which is weird because they always had cameras. As for the leasing agents that I met and spoken to I think they are great, it's just unless you have time to physically go the leasing office, you will have a difficult time reaching anyone. At the moment we have a rent bug going on, the last few there's the report to credit agency fee like four dollars, that sometimes gets included with the overall payment and sometimes I left out that forces 100s of residents to be considered "late". I had to make extra payment when we all received a "Blast about late rent" email, my rent is automatically paid but this email was a little different I so I look and that's when I found the issue. It's a bug in their system that they need to address. Anyway that my long winded review. I think the management thing is fixable without an actual change maybe Tess was having a bad day we all have them. But they advertise 24 hour management availability, that is definitely no accurate.

My experience with Alden Park has been extremely positive in this changing rental market. Serene and staff in the leasing office were very helpful. I can’t wait to see more of the community and hope to call Alden Park my home very soon!

My mother has lived at Alden park for almost 7 years. She loves it and so do I. She’s older and emailing isn’t her thing so she visits the office. The staff are always friendly and helpful with any of her concerns. Maintenance arrives in a timely manner for any maintenance issues. The grounds and the apartment are beautiful. I truly couldn’t pick a better community for my mother to live at.

I'm writing this review as a prospect, I applied it's been a little over a week & I have yet to hear anything back; so my only complaint is the slow application process at this point. The tour was fine, great friendly service, and the leasing agent Aisaiah was extremely helpful and enthusiastic in his effort to get me an apartment here. I greatly appreciate that.

The management has change many times. I love my apartment; however, outside of my apartment is not good. Current residence are a little suspect. Security needs to improve. Pool is not clean and no residents get in to the pool area

The community is visually appealing and the apartments are beautiful. Unfortunately this place is so mismanaged and there have been countless times where I wish I did not renew my lease. I often find myself thinking that I pay too much in rent for what I get as a resident. Furthermore, the parking situation sucks and if you do not get back to the complex before 6, then good luck finding a spot that is anywhere near your building.

So far. it has been overall good. But there needs to be improvement in the security of the property (2 deaths in 2021 plus reinforcing the locking of building doors), enforcing quiet hours with residents at times not respecting it and enforcing the parking rules of especially the Manor/Cambridge parking lot. Far too many residents are completely abusing their privilege of having a permit to park there and park illegally in spots within the lot that are NOT legal parking spaces, often leaving little room to navigate... enough is enough and those cars need to be towed, especially the --------------- with the --------------------- and a ----------------------- with the ---------------------------. The positives are that the leasing office staff is very accessible as is ------ at the maintenance department and my landlord ----. Without that, I would not here. I appreciate them for open lines of communication.

The maintenance team is constantly changing and it is extremely variable when you will get help. The mail room is a mess. I have started sending my packages elsewhere because I do not have the time to spend over an hour searching through the most unorganized mail room with three buildings worth of packages to find something I ordered. Why is there a package locker if it is not even used? The main reason I am not renewing my lease.

It has been awful from inconsiderate leasing agents to loud neighbors. The office acts like they care but they do not. I think we as residents are paying way too much money because it does not equate to the quality of the building. If I wasn't in school, I would consider moving somewhere else

The community is great with the exception of the property manager. The residents are friendly and so is the rest of the staff. The buildings are very old so there are lots of issues that seem to get fixed in a timely manner but if you need to escalate anything the property manager is not easy yo work with. She does not have any compassion, sympathy or empathy for anyone.

Alden Park apartments is a beautiful community that comes with major inconveniences. The package room is "The worst package room in the city" (as said by UPS, Amazon, and USPS delivery drivers). I do not send my packages to my home, I have to send them elsewhere, or I will be swimming in packages for hours at a time. Noise curfew is at 10:00, and is broken by residents daily. The building is supposed to be non-smoking, yet my apartment is filled with weed smoke daily. When asked about what we can do about smoking, I was told there was nothing they could do. Signing my lease was a nightmare- I felt like once I payed my deposit they did not care about my questions/moving in day specifics. The pools and gym are beautiful (but you are not aloud guests). That all being said, it is a beautiful apartment and community. It looks just like the pictures and maintenance is great at up keeping the grounds. Maintenance comes to my apartment in a timely manor, and helps with anything I need. My rent is cheaper then most places in the area. I will be renewing for the next year, with hopes of community changes from management!

Alden Park is, by far, the worst place that I have ever lived! I don't recommend this apartment complex to anyone and suggest that they perform their due diligence before signing the complex's ridiculously long, legalese lease. The management markets the apartment complex as having two swimming pools, a state-of the-art gym, high level security and luxurious apartments. Unfortunately, they don't tell you that pools, gymnasium facilities and elevators are out of order much too often. They shut down the air conditioning early in the fall and there is no way to turn on the air conditioning back on, even if the temperature goes into the 90's. To make matters worse, the windows do not have screens, so when you open them bugs fly in. They continuously add fees to your monthly bill such as: utility fees, amenity fees, and many other nuisance fees that all add up. During COVID, they prohibited the use of many of the amenities but continued to charge the fees. They claim that the facility is secure. However, since I moved in a man was shot in my building's lobby and in the parking garage, many cars have been broken into, bicycles have been stolen from the locked storage area, and packages are often missing. The garbage often piles up for days before being collected. They have a centralized mailroom for packages which is a disaster! If you have a heavy package, you will need a car to carry it a long way to your apartment. They have a small number of lockers in the mailroom managed by an outside vendor (Luxor 1) but the delivery (Fed-ex, UPS, etc.) folks are often too lazy to use them and just leave the packages in an unorganized huge pile. It is a nightmare trying to find a package. The mailroom is gated but the gate is often left unlocked. My packages have been lost or stolen about 50% of the time. Parking is also a nightmare. They issue more permits than there are spaces so if you come home after 9:00 pm you will not be able to find a space and will have to find a spot on the street, if you are lucky. I arrived at 2:00 am from the airport, parked partially in the grass and had my car towed without any notice. It caused me to be late for an exam, cost me over $250.00 for towing, and an Uber fees to get to class and to get to my car. The ONLY reasons why I stay is because it is convenient to my nearby medical school, I can't afford to hire someone to move me, and I can have a dog for security purposes.

I'll start with the staff which is excellent. I was shown around the property by the tour guide at the front desk who did a wonderful job on the tour. Very friendly right from the start. He showed me a wide variety of apartment options, and even catered to the exact time frame that I was looking for. He showed me videos of all the apartments and we went on a walk around the property to tour each of them. The amenities are what stick out to me the most. They have an incredible heated indoor pool as well as a hot tub. Nice gym area too. There is ample parking which is a big plus for me. I liked the lobby a lot too, the property has some really beautiful buildings and each one of them has unique character. Most places don't have the kind of staff that this place does. You feel very connected very quickly. Friendly is the best way to describe the tour guides. Just very helpful all around.

I grew up at Alden Park for 17 years. It's always been a magical place to me. When I visited today to speak with a leasing agent about moving back, Aisaiah was excited to get me in. He showed me a really nice studio, and broke down all the upfront costs for me to move in. He was thorough and professional (but he's no square; he's a really cool guy.) Honestly, Alden Park looks even better than it did 10 years ago when I left for college.

Just spent 30 minutes driving around in circles to find a parking spot in a parking lot I pay $25/month to use. Didn’t find a spot, and am afraid to park in any non-designated spot as my car was towed last week. I emailed management and called multiple times, have yet to receive a response. Parking and security here are a joke. After a person was murdered in the garage of my building they put a security guard at one of the gates but failed to even fix the gate to my parking lot for months. It doesn’t matter if you have central air, W/D in unit, fake wood flooring or a fireplace if you can’t even safely park your car.

The apartments are beautiful but the security- or lack thereof- makes me feel unsafe here. Doors and gates are always broken. The elevator is constantly breaking. I hope management actually reads these reviews. I will say the leasing staff is wonderful.
