Alden park is great ! My apt is perfect for me. The grounds are well kept and I love taking walks for that reason. There are always going to be maintenance issues and insects in old buildings but maintenance staff does a decent job addressing them. Everyone is really nice and there are just so many wonderful neighbors. The amenities are great and its worth it ! The sunset is always the best part of my day and of course all the puppy neighbors!

Alden Park apartments are nice. Three buildings, beautiful grounds with various amenities. There are many different apartment layouts to choose from here. The leasing staff is friendly and always willing to help. The maintenance staff are very responsive and attentive. The downside is the residents who don't control their dogs, don't pick up after them and the apartment should require dogs to have a muzzle on when in public. The trash room needs a better set up. The good out weights the bad overall. There is always parking and the parking is secure with fob gated entrance.

Even though all apartments are metered for electric they arbitrarily are now pro-rating somehow they control the company creating our bills each month after living here a number of years this month our electric bill for a one bedroom one bath has almost tripled to over $100.00. Then the water portion is over $90.00. Of course the water does not have individual meters we are at the mercy of whatever they charge us. We are paying for unoccupied apartments and I am guessing the individuals on government housing who now live here(section ). We also pay for trash but is always overflowing and often roaches are found in trash rooms as well. Our last lease required us to sign that we would not sue with any class action with other tenants. We also recently had a package stolen and when we called Luxor(the company which controls the locker system in package room) they told us that someone from office took it. They could tell that it was the office's number that can override Luxor's number which we had. Office just shrugged away like everything else. All on top of vehicles being vandalized in their lot. There is supposed to be a security company but try to find them. Lack of lighting and cameras in lot. Often hates not working and door to building open when it should be locked. Supposed to be non smoking building and grounds but their maintenance crew constantly smoking right outside doors. Butts everywhere. Also construction personnel also smoke and drifts into other apartments.

Please read the reviews. Everything is absolutely true. Packages constantly get stolen, the hallways and trash rooms are disgusting. The pools are also disgusting. The HVACs don't work. You may or may not have hot water. The parking in any lot besides maybe kenilworth is non-existent after 7pm. I accept that there will be issues with infrastructure and heating/cooling with historic buildings. I have lived in several, but my apartment hit 92 degrees for weeks in 2019. I used a space heater all winter. Some of the amenities don't work at all e.g the sauna. It is a stunning building and the apartments (some of them are gorgeous), but don't let this fool you. Seriously. All the one star reviews are gospel. Don't live here.

love this place, but it's too much stuff makes me not happy, I just move in here for a week, and I have already lost a package that's worth about $200, and they deduct me $200 for a remote fee and they did not even mention to me before they do, and I asked they if my friends live here, and they could get the referral fee?and they told me said I should mention that before I sign the contract, and also I'm a student, they also didn't mention student only need to give $49 to the application fee, Analyn has helped us find our apt, but at the first, she basically don't reply to any of my emails at the first place, I called her, she will tell me to reply to me soon, and then I can't find her. then I book a tour, just took us to look at our apartment, even my friends told me where to take the package and the yoga room in the building. We have just moved in for a week, but now we have been greatly influenced by the management of Alden park. I hope you will consider it carefully before moving here.

I live next door to Alden Park. Every spring the landscape crew puts mulch of some kind on the trees and flower beds. It has a sickening smell. I don't know whether they use Roundup (Monsanto) or not, but whatever they are using is toxic for the workers, as well as residents, and the neighbors living in the area. I have not approached the Apartment Management to see if they will address the issue.

Beautiful buildings on the outside. The inside not so much. Minimal cleanliness of hallways and basement. The basement at Cambridge is very, very creepy. Wouldn't be surprised if a crime against a person happens. The worst is the package room!!!! There's a locker system that is rarely used. Packages are supposed to be separated by address but that doesn't always happen. They cannot rely on delivery personnel to maintain it. There is no oversight whatsoever of the package room. Maintenance requests take so long to be addressed. They can't even maintain the door locks to provide security for the residents. Office personnel are very rude and they could care less. Communication with the residents is very, very lacking. Emails are rarely proofread with repeated misspellings. if you can't even spellcheck it's no wonder the package room is such a nightmare. People park on circular driveway with no consequence as this is such a safety issue.

Alden Park is beautiful. I completely love the whole vibe. They are super slow to answer maintenance requests infact I haven't had one answered yet. I have no heat in my bathroom. The bathroom upstairs leaks into mine and the in unit washing machine has something wrong. I have told people, done written requests repeatedly and paid all my rent . ( They often say people complain to get out of their rent)

DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. I moved here because I fell in love with this place!!!! The historic design template combined with modern upgrades was the hook. The professionalism of the staff and their commitment to being so convincingly attentive to any concerns. They really got me. After I moved in I realized the hot water temperature was never consistent and there were days and sometimes weeks where hot water DID NOT WORK AT ALL. I am a ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. In addition, I went away on vacation to Mexico for 2 weeks and when I came back the mice took over. Boxes of cookies and candies were destroyed and mice go into my pantry area. Right before I left for vacation they came in to take care of a small mouse I saw the week prior. Not sure what they actually did because I was at work when they said they came in but I did see a few of those green traps. I also had to replace all the food in my pantry and then bleach everything down for sanitation. I still stayed even after my car was towed twice with the sticker in my car. I even stayed after the dishwasher was broken for over 6 months. I even stayed after going through rent and additional perk charges increasing through too many property management changes. I also stayed because its hell getting my new furniture that could fit in the elevators to getting into my place so I knew it was gonna be twice as much hell to move out all at once. THE HEAD ACHE OF MOVING IS THE WORST!!!!! What caused me to leave was being tired of waiting for things my rent check should have warranted me, like a return call from ------ (Property Manager). Waiting too long for fixed issues. Hot water, Parking, The FAKE Fire Place I couldn't fake it anymore. I was very elated and It was a good way to impress my friends, because lets face it... Alden Park Looks Hot especially with my furniture and taste to add on but its to worth the long term head ache. This place has become a tourist attraction only. BE WISE AND DONT RENT HERE!!!!!! TRUST A ------------- FABULOUS MAN!!!!!!

I have really enjoyed living here. From the initial request of the tour I have received really excellent service. Maintenance issues are addressed in less than 24 hours. The grounds are beautiful.I love the historical experience and the buildings are gorgeous. There is a lot to do here on site, I enjoy utilizing the yoga studio and the peleton bikes. The gym also has a sauna!! Super dope. My apartment is really pretty. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I have a walk in closet, full kitchen, full bath and even a dining area. For the price, I feel that the space delivered is a steal. So far everything has worked out. Kayla, my sales representative is amazing at answering questions and super prompt when I have had requests. Everyone is friendly and the walls are thick. If I had one critique it would be to update my washer dryer, but they definitely work now. I'm just not sure how energy efficient they are. I would also like electric vehicle charging so I would be more incentivised to buy an EV but that is reaching lol! The views from the huge windows in my place makes me feel like I live in a castle and it is super dog friendly. I honestly don't even want to talk about some of the amenities because they are totally under-utilized and I wanna keep them for myself (LOL--- selfish!)...but they are awesome. Lots of places to chill and play games-- watch football-- hang with friends. Look, I saw some bad reviews before I came to see the place too, and everyone has their own experience- which I respect- but not coming out to see this fantastic property would be selling your own experience short. It is a gem in the history of Philadelphia. Also-- chestnut hill is about 5 minutes away if you want amazing vintage shopping and the food scene there is off the chain!! Thanks for reading-- happy apartment hunting!

I have to admit, I had some issues here. But... Every issue that I've had has been resolved. ------ and her staff have been nothing but helpful to me. They have responded to every concern in a timely manner. -------- responded to my voicemail the next morning and followed up with a email with all of their email addresses and extension numbers. I just want to take the time to write something positive about these ladies. No one seems to leave positive reviews anymore, just the negative ones. But who writes when they're happy? Very few do. Thank you -------------------------------------- and the new guy (Sorry, I don't know his name yet.) You all have been so helpful.

***UPDATE*** Now I'm seeing that they've removed my negative review from Facebook. If you move to Alden Park, that's what you can expect.....any complaints will be ignored and removed and all that will remain will be the fake positive reviews from friends of the leasing agents who sucker you in. Clearly these are horrible people running this place with the lowest morals and lacking in any shred of ethical behavior. I would harshly discipline my child if he was as scummy and disrespectful as the people running Alden Park. I've called at least 20 times over the past month trying to get information regarding availability and rates for different sized apartments and how utilities are calculated. Not once has a person answered the phone. Each time I have left messages and called additional times and left messages with the maintenance office in the hopes they would connect me to anyone who can help me....nope.....not once. If they don't put any effort into responding to people asking about moving in, what is their response time once they do move in?! Based on some of the reviews, I have my answer. Also, I noticed that the company that manages Alden Park (Pointe Management Group (PMG)) can't even manage a website. They're jointly owned and operated by L3C Capital Partners and RAM Partners, LLC and talk of 30 years of experience.....but in 30 years they couldn't build a website? If you search it and check it out, there's only the page that tells you where to send your rent and how they're working on building a functioning website......I guess in 30 years they couldn't do that? They'll take your rent but not provide modern methods to interact with them when their reps won't answer the phone or return calls? Oh....and I noticed that at least one of the positive reviews on Facebook and Google was written by the boyfriend (---------- (who doesn't live there)) of one of the leasing agents (-------------). If this place depends on lies and deception for positive reviews to boost their ratings, that's demonstrates the lack of integrity of the people who work at Alden Park.

Do not move here at all this is the most scamming apartment complex in the universe. Everything is peachy then once they get your money, they just don't care about you anymore. From day 1 of moving in to Alden Park I have had issues. The HVAC in the master bedroom leaked soaking the entire carpet, I put in several maintenance requests to have them come and fix the issue and they completely ignored it until I literally went and found someone in the building and practically forced them to come in and look at it. Once that happened they did nothing for another month, they finally had the people come to drain the floors where they used these big giant machines that made an unreasonable amount of noise, where we couldn't even sleep in the bedroom. Mind you they used our electric and water that we pay for to do so. Not to mention they never fixed the hvac, so we still had countless problems. to where the carpet needed to be replaced and they had to cut out a piece of the wall because it was soaked with water. So I was paying $1700 a month to rent an apartment with a hole in the wall, This all begin in July issues weren't fixed until December, here comes more problems October we had absolutely no heat in our Apartment for 3 month, I had to call L&I and have them come out to force them to fix the heat. We finally received heat in January. Here comes the fun, I started to see mice like big mice and gigantic roaches. I never believed that roaches could fly until I moved here. I get it the building is old and there are a lot of apartments but an exterminator should be on property at least twice a week, when they did send the exterminator to my apartment he put 4 mouse traps behind my stove and never came back to check for them , mind you I was not home when this happened so I had no idea that they were back there, the smell came it smelt like something was dead in my apartment for a day in a half before I thought to pull the stove out and see what it was and don't you know all 4 of the traps had mice on them. DISGUSTING!!! and they refused to have someone come and pick them up from behind the stove so I had to do it myself. There was no running water in my apartment for a week straight, and every other day we don't have any hot water. Management sucks and doesn't care about any of this all they care about is taking your money. Then the towing my car gets towed with the parking permit in the car, so I purchased a garage parking spot and you know they came in and towed my car from the garage!!! Why am I paying $40 for a spot if they are going to tow my car anyway! This place is a scam and far from luxury!!! STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE

Crooked. Dishonest. Non responsive. I applied for an apartment here in February 2019. I paid a $300 application fee/ deposit. This was unusually high, but I was assured by --- that 1) I would qualify for the apartment and 2) if I did not, the application fee would be refunded. My application was denied because of a bankruptcy history. I have no issue with that. I can live somewhere else. But it is now June 2019. I have called their rental office three times, visited once, emailed several times, and also sent certified mail. After my three calls and my visit, I was assured that a 'manager' would get back to me shortly. To this day, I have received no calls. Never, not once, have I received a return call from anyone. --- apparently doesn't work there anymore. And of course, I have received not one dime of my application fee. This place is highly unethical. As a note, my ratings as to the apartment complex are based on casual observation. I never lived there.

I love my apt. Its huge and unique. We ALL chose to live in an 100 yr old building. Stop saying this isn't a good place to live just because your mad. You're bashing a place you CHOOSE to live. If you're unhappy they'll let you leave so MOVE OUT instead of writing reviews or starting a resident unhappy club. HA what a joke. Management has communicated with me and fixed every problem ive had and gone above any beyond. This property is beautiful, clean, and I have everything I need right in my backyard- tennis, pool, hiking, coffee. THANK YOU!

This is the worst complex I could've picked to live in and wish I took the reviews into more consideration when deciding on where to live when I moved to PA. I wish I could give this complex zero stars! When moving in they make you think you're really going to be enjoying "luxury living" but that is far from the truth. The air conditioning shuts off when it's 90° outside, and then you have to wait weeks for maintenance to even acknowledge the fact that there's an issue. Don't hold your breath for the maintenance team when it comes to issues such as major water leaks or being locked out of your apartment because all they tell you is that they can't do anything for you. There is NEVER any parking if you get home after 4pm. Despite the fact that you have to get parking decals and a fob to open the gates into the community (if they are even closed, which is rare) they will tow your car inside the gates off the property even if you have the decal. The office team is just as bad! They don't respond to voicemails not emails, let alone answer the phone during normal business hours. Don't let how pretty this place looks fool you. I have never regretted a move as much as I have with my move to Alden park. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere besides this complex!

Alden Park or Slum Park (inside joke for all the current residents) is beyond a disappointment but a burden far from "luxury". This place has been more of a headache than the relaxing "cozy haven" it was marketed to be. Branding/marketing is the focus here instead of truly fixing all the issues. Now I know why new residents aren't shown the stair case and laundry rooms. They show you what they want you to see to sell you an illusion!! - Mice - No running water or low water pressure or no hot water randomly every other month - No working AC/Heat when needed - Towing paying residents - Fire alarms randomly going off - No guest parking as promised - Pools and locker rooms are unkept & dirty - Elevators break randomly - I've even had my bike stolen out of the locked bike room!! I feel horrible for the family's with kids and elderly population that live on this property with no AC (especially today) in 80 degree weather. Free Renters Rights and Responsibilities Workshops at 12:30 p.m. every weekday and 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 100 South Broad Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA and a Saturday workshop 11 a.m. at 1701 West Lehigh Avenue, Philadelphia, PA Tenant Rights: ?

I never write reviews, but I feel an ethical responsibility do such now regarding Alden Park. This place is terribly mis-managed. Living anywhere else is better than throwing your money at this "luxury" complex. -The staff did not test the air conditioning until Memorial Day Weekend, only to learn it is broken. All properties at Alden Park are without air conditioning. The conditions are unbearable. We can open our windows but they have no screens. I had to combat a pigeon that tried to enter. Of course, countless bugs have entered, and the pollen dust in the apartment is like nothing you have ever seen. -The heater broke over a weekend of 0 degree temperatures this winter. It took them days to fix this. -The aforementioned issues are bad enough--the real piece de resistance of this horrible place is that the staff DOES NOT COMMUNICATE. No one ever answers the phone, emails are not replied to, issues are not communicated, etc. -The security we pay for is a joke. 99% of the time the barrier gate to the garage is broken so anyone can enter the complex. Just yesterday a message was sent because security has been breached in the building. -Pot is smoked constantly in the buildings. You will come to not notice the smell. -Do not expect people to visit you here. There is no visitor parking. -External lights are perpetually broken. I have requested that problem be addressed for over six months, to no avail. It is great fun to walk your dog in the darkness of the winter morning with no outdoor lights. Again, I am not one to write these reviews. Please heed my words. Maintain your money and sanity by NOT renting at Alden Park.

Don't get confused by the 5 star ratings on here. The new management sucks. No air conditioning for the past 5 days. No one answers your calls. Parking is not a nightmare. There are plenty of spots, just lazy people who don't want to walk. There was a crime committed around may 26th. Not sure what happened but we all got emails about being safe. No security. Rarely ever see someone at the gate. Rodent and water bug issues. Can't put a screen on the window. 1 star for management. They even towed a loaner vehicle I had. Im moving out soon

Read all reviews before considering living here!! Not the planted 5 star ratings! Unless you like no water several days a month. No air conditioning with temperatures over 80 degrees. (Remember these buildings are at least 9 floors and will get sweltering in the heat and humidity). Maintenance doesn't exist or doesn't care. Like the entire management staff just doesn't care especially after they suck you in. Never here on weekend. They should be available during weekends when residents are home. Also should respond to maintenance requests. Never answers there phones and just lets all roll to voicemail which never gets answered. Doing nothing keeps them happy by not changing the bottom line for profits. They are dishonest and will sent multiple emails contradicting each other. By the way their lobby area always has air conditioning and from their own emails the bathrooms in the lobby were working while the rest of building had no water. You pay for trash and insect control but trash not picked up frequently enough especially since no air!! No wonder they need insect/rodent control! What a surprise! Who is paying these people? Or even hired them? Disgusting for everything! Time to call government and TV and radio stations. They need a something to light a fire under this disturbingly bad management nightmare. And time to organize and put our rents in escrow until some changes are promised. With the anger I hearcin halls and around it should be pretty easy!

Honestly, Alden park was pretty great when I moved in July 2017. I live in Cambridge and my apartment was brand new. I had a few leaks in my kitchen but maintenance fixed it right away... However, the problem started with this new management. See the list of reasons why: 1) I used to pay $20 for water and sewage and now I pay $35. This is ridiculous. Previously, the old management covered part of the water bill and now this new management charges us based on the building's water usage, which is divided by your square footage and number of people living in your home. Thus, I'm basically overpaying because there are tenants who do not have every single person living in the apartment on the lease. It is extremely unfair especially because I am a medical student living on a fixed income. 2) My rent increased by a whopping 9%!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous and very unfair of the management. With the previous management, my rent increased by 1%. I might as well move now because I won't be able to afford another 9% increase next year. 3) Cambridge has a common room. Several times, the rooms were occupied by people who did not reserve the room to throw a party. One night, they threw a party with strippers. Another night, some young people threw a party in an apartment and set off the fire alarm in the middle of the night and everyone in the building had to leave. 4) Parking is very limited. If you try to park after 9, you're screwed and have to park on the street. One night, I had to park on the street across the street from cambridge. When I came back the next day, my car was broken into. Now, I have to pay for garage parking, which is $40/month. 5) MY APARTMENT IS FREEZING COLD IN THE WINTER TIME. It is so cold that I don't spend very much time at home because I can't afford to keep my heater on all day. The windows are single pane windows and air from outside enters my apartment. Literally, my wash rags turn into ice in the winter time. I only use the heater at night and cover my windows in plastic, which is extremely ugly. I do not want to renew my lease. However, I do like Alden because it is close to campus but this new management is pretty outrageous and sneaky. I am scared that they have a few more tricks up their sleeve and I can't afford to deal with it.

Honestly I haven't always been thrilled with Alden Park but since the management has taken over things are really starting to turn around. Alden Park is one of the most stunning, historical places and I'm so happy the new company has made so many repairs and improvements! I also think the new staff actually cares about us and our living experience and all the events have been super fun, it's always great to get to know your neighbors, can't wait for the outdoor pool to open, the indoor pool is amazing but looking forward to warm weather and sunshine!! Thanks!
