I've lived at Sonterra for almost two years. I have loved living here since the day I moved in. The front office staff is always friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is also nice, and very prompt in responding to service requests. Overall, I would highly recommend Sonterra to anyone looking for an apartment in this area.

Twice in a year I've received eviction notices! The office credited my rent to a different apartment. They also forced upon us a valet trash service. Another $30 bucks a month. I'm capable of taking out my own trash.

Previous management was on top of everything. Current management is not. The complex is starting to get run down and maintenance Isn't being preformed. My apparment building is sinking and thats causing issues with pipes Breaking and gaps opening in the floors. my appliances turn on but dont work. Management has been notified many times but takes no action. Pest control is another problem. Scorpions, spiders and now snakes are all over the complex. Again, management takes no action. they will however add on another $200 in fees on top of your rent. The bigrst of which is the valet trash you have to pay so that someone can take your trash 50 feet from your apartment to the dumpster.

In the time I've lived here I feel that for the most part staff and maintenance have been helpful and knowledgeable. However the last two years I've felt that there hasn't been any sense of urgency to help a current resident over a new prospective resident. I've also seen the grounds care slack off a little. That said, I enjoy the area, the preserve, the gardens and most of my interactions with staff.

Since 2102 I've had a great experience...until this year. Communication doesn't seem to be something that's was taught to everyone. It's sad because I truly love my apartment. It's a wonderful floorplan. My neighbors are sweethearts. But still waiting on updates about things being fixed in my apartment. Wish someone would just pick up the phone and talk to me, or even an email would be great.

Like my apartment. Maintenance when I need it is prompt. Office staff is somewhat condescending. Less interaction I have with them seems to be in my best interest. Gate and lights on each side of gates never seem to work. Hard to see gate at night.

I lived here about 8 years ago for 4 years and absolutely LOVED it!! So, when I was looking for a new home, I came back here to the same style apt. This time, it had gone downhill and I was very disappointed. BUT, a new mgmt company took over and Geneva Garcia, the new community manager, is whipping it into shape in such a swift, kind, conscientious and beautiful way!!! Even the employees speak highly of her and the difference she's making...that says alot!! So, now I highly recommend Sonterra to anyone looking for a new home!!

I have lived at a few apartment homes in Austin. This home here at Sonterra I would rate average for management but above average for the actual construction of the apartment. I never hear any other neighbors around me and I really like that. The only issue I've had with management is getting things like replacements done. Most of the time they are eventually done, there are still some requests that need attention.

The community has been overall good. I have noticed that things around the complex seem to take extremely long to be fixed however. This is really annoying. The gas grills at the phase two pool haven't been working for so long. The gates took almost a year to be fixed and still are unreliable. We have been having an issue with parking availability near our building and often have to park on the other side of the complex or in phase 1 which is very frustrating. I do like the complex. There are just some services that are advertised as available but are often not (ex. phase 2 clubhouse, working gates).

On the day of my move-in the apartment was not ready in the morning as previously agreed. This caused me to lose the movers I'd ordered, that deposit, and I had to move myself. The front office was not very helpful on that day, but provided a $25 gift card and did not charge me for that day. Unfortunately, it has not been much better. It took over a week to get a washer and dryer. The trash fee is $35 dollars and even though it is not legally agreed upon in the lease, we cannot remove it. There is an influx of wasps nests and raccoons around the complex along with very large spiders. Additionally, the apartment sends out the same email constantly and it is very close to spam at this point. It is aggravating. As is the mail service that is not disclosed to you upon applying. Being charged to have mail delivered and to pick up a package in a completely different area is frustrating. Also! We are not given the code to the back gate and can never actually tell when the gates will be functioning. The pros are that maintenance is quick and polite. When it's actually tended to, the garden is lovely. Kevin at the front office is a god-send! I am overall bleh about living here and will likely not renew. It's a beautiful complex and the change in management has killed the benefit of living here.

Overall the experience has been good. The staff is always friendly and courteous. Complex is clean. Maintenance request are handled within 24-48 hrs. Our apartment was terminated right before we moved in and we are quite comfortable as a 5 person family with small children.

It is a comfortable and happy place to live. Lots of things to do are offered. Coffee bar set up & herb garden, gym, jacuzzi & pool are my favorites, but books to read, movies to watch & other things are offered to us. Miss Kevin's squirrel, though!

Beautiful property.. in the woods, lots of trees , . Management and staff are attentive. I've made wonderful friendships here . For over 10 yrs. there has been a continental breakfast served in our clubhouse . Wonderful way to meet your neighbors . This community isn't perfect.. however , perfect for me . It has what I want .... clean grounds, pool and clubhouse. Attached garage. Remodeled clubhouses and gym. Close to my work . Address work orders timely and emergencies immediately. I've lived here almost 7 yrs and know others that have lived here 10 or more years .

It has good and courteous staff, they quickly take care of you if you have any issues. In my opinion, they just need to be aware where the real opportunities of improvement are and finish with already existing projects before starting new ones (fob keys and gates).

I've had a wonderful experience, getting help when I need it, and most people who work here are friendly. The amenities are nice, and the property is beautiful! I feel that my apartment is very nice for the rent I pay, it's big and spacious.

I have lived at Sonterra for nearly 5 years and plan to renew my lease again. The community provides the best value for apartments in the area with spacious floor plans in apartments that they have maintained very well over the years. They offer a great gym and pool in a very well maintained club house. It is a very quiet neighborhood, and when there have been issues with noise they have stepped up to make the community enjoyable for all.

Sonterra is a pleasant community to live in. It's well connected to shops and recreation nearby but also quiet and residential. The staff are excellent and all my interactions with them have been smooth. I would definitely recommend this place!

I've always felt welcomed here at Sonterra. I've truly enjoyed the landscape here, I'm always admiring the work the landscapers do. It's very peaceful here, neighbors are friendly and out going; how great that we seem to get the friendliest group of people renting here! The staff is wonderful to constantly remind us of things we need to get done...packages, renters insurance, etc., etc. They are busy, but they still make the time to take care of us. I really enjoy the monthly flyer, good recipes and good info. I've been happy here, have made some good friends. It's not an over crowed community, which I really like. I enjoy my home here...

I was relocating from Corpus to Austin and did not have a chance to visit the area prior to finding a home. Christi was my leasing agent and was extremely helpful and kind. She did a great job of painting a picture of the property via phone.

I moved to the city from a small town, having always been a homeowner. My experience at Sonterra has been delightful. I feel very secure and "at home" here. The manager and staff have been wonderfully helpful,caring, and considerate of me-a Senior citizen .

Very disappointing experience, unprofessional and rude office staff. Infested apartment with bugs, ants, insects! Security gates have never worked, trash and clutter all over balconies and peoples front doors.
