Since living here my pregnant fiance has developed chronic sinus issues. My son has developed frequent nose bleeds and breathing issues. I would attribute these issues to the air quality in our apartment. We have filthy, unkept, stinky air ducts in every room, and also a downstairs neighbor that has continued to smoke indoors, both issues remain unresolved. The air quality also leads to an unbelievable amount of dust/grey matter that accumulates in our carpet constantly. It might of helped if they would have changed the carpet before we moved in, but like everything else in the unit it

The community is great, staff are very friendly and helpfully. The grounds are maintained, community is very quiet and safe. There is traffic on 620 but it not that bad as long as you leave before the rush hours.

I like most things about this apartment. The pools need to be cleaned, the water is cloudy and the hot tubs look dirty. The valet trash pick up is mandatory and most residents don't use nor want it. We like to take our own trash out, it's too expensive.

It's not bad. Amenities are great and it's quiet. Rent has not gone up considerably so please don't change that. One thing I will say is that I live on the first floor and when my neighbors upstairs move out it is noisy as heck for a week as maintenance gets the apartment ready for next tenant. Very distracting for a work from home person. Please give us notice so we can go somewhere else

Over all had a really good experence living here. That is why we have stayed for our third lease. Management at the begining was a little rough and rude, but now they are super helpful and nice. I think yall are doing a good job especially with COVID going on.

This will be our fourth year living at Sonterra. We wouldn't have stayed here this long if the property was bad. The front office has always been respectful of the residents living here, and with only one exception that I can think, I have always been treated with the utmost respect. The apartment complex are well maintained and we love the amount of green spaces located on the property. It can at times feel like an oasis in the city. The only negative I have is their package pick up, which has us using an automated "package concierge" system in which the carriers drop off our packages in a locker space and we are alerted to a package being available for us to pick up. However, the automated system at times doesn't work, the carriers don't put the packages in the secured lockers and will even place your package in another persons locker. So, there are times you know a package was delivered, but if the carrier messed up the drop off, you have no idea where your package could be. Since the office doesn't regulate or manage the system, they cannot really help you in this at all, and there is a risk of not receiving a package that you ordered. However, that is my only criticism of the complex.

Overall, I fully enjoyed my time at Sonterra. I love that they have Saturday morning community breakfasts. It was a nice way to start the weekend. I lived here for two full years, and the only complaint I would have was the bugs I encountered (tarantulas, scorpions, cockroaches). However, when I addressed this with the staff, we had pest control come out. Plus, we live so close to a beautiful reserve that I wasn't surprised to encounter these creatures every once in a while. Community is quite, neighbors seem friendly. Maintenance was always quick to fix any issues and friendly too. I loved the views I had from my third and second floor windows; just beautiful! I loved my time spent here and wish I had the means to continue living there.

Initially things were good but as time has passed issues have began to arise especially since the covid 19 lockdown when amenities were closed for a very long time. Packages have been misplaced, valet trash does not recycle they just put everything in the trash.

At first, I enjoyed living here. Then new tenants moved in throughout the years who have elementary aged children. They play unsupervised in the parking lots with bicycles and scooters. They leave them everywhere so cars cant drive or park. Toys and trash left everywhere. While I understand this is lack of proper parenting, the management company does nothing about it telling us kids need somewhere to play. Rent is affordable but that's the only upside. If you have no kids DO NOT MOVE HERE.

A great value! This complex does not raise rents very much each year because they want you to stay. Great floor plans! It is nice to have a side entrance with a traffic light for safety in pulling out on 620. Geneva is the new manager and she's excellent.

I've lived here for 9 years. I love this apartment complex. The way they structured the buildings, hallways and landscape spaces allows you to have privacy, not having other building right in front of your window like in most apartment complexes. The landscaping spaces are kept beautiful, with a lot of trees. When I move here there used to be a lot more wildlife, sadly not anymore, but that's not the administration's fault, it's just the whole new 620 rddevelopment. It's in a great area, close to shopping centers, parks, schools, beautiful lake Austin but because is surrounded by trees there is still a peaceful feeling living here. Maintenance is fast and efficient, after so many years living here no complaints about it. People in the office is super nice, always willing to help and answer all of your questions and requests. Kevin is the best! Most of my neighbors have lived here for a long time, and I think is because once you move here, you fall in love with this place. I'm glad my apartment locator showed me this property 9 years ago because I've found here a really good place to live.

Overall, it has been a very pleasant experience living at the Sonterra Apartments. The leasing/admin. staff is helpful, but could be a bit more professional and accurate with their email communication. The entry gate seems to have issues at times. On the plus side, there is always ample parking.

The thin walls and carpeting are an issue. The outdated stove and closet arrangements need to be updated. I wish the gate wasnt always broken. It is a security issue for the community. I do like how quiet and respectful the residents are.

Staff was okay, until we turned in our notice, then they seemed to take it personal. Like most complexes, once you leave they find all kinds of reasons to ding you for money. We asked for our final amount and then paid it. Only to find out it wasn't correct? What? Well, they send you to collections and you're left powerless and of course take your security deposit and still INVENT more charges so you still "owe" beyond that. And the whole aparment communities are in on it so you can't rent anywhere else unless you pay it. I wish I could invent charges and throw them at people and they would be forced to pay me just because. OH, but then, I have a soul unlike SONTERRA. Don't rent there!

The package concierge service is a disaster. I have had several packages lost. The staff does little to help with any problem. They are supposed to have extended hours one day of the week until 7. I left work early to make in before the cut off. It was only 6:45 and the office door was locked. I tried to get the office personals attention but was ignored. Most recently innovations were done to the apartment next door at 11 at night. My whole apartment smelt like nail polish remover and the crew was being loud all through the night.

Sonterra is quiet, clean, and safe. I like that it feels a bit removed from the bustle of Austin, but I also wish I would've chosen a location closer to downtown. It's in north west Austin, which is beautiful, but it's basically a guaranteed 25-30 minute drive to the main sights in Austin. There is shopping and food close, but definitely not the range you would get even 10 minutes closer to downtown. Sonterra charges a lot for utilities, but I'm not sure how comparable it is to other places. I was really surprised when my utilities last month were $85 for trash, water, and sewage for a 1 BR. They make you pay for valet trash services even if you don't use it and you also pay maintenance/ grounds fees. Again, not sure how that compares, but I thought it was high especially on top of paying electric and gas separately. Staff is nice and helpful. The gym is small but efficient, and the hot tub is great. My balcony was a huge selling point because it's big and partially shrouded with trees. There aren't enough sidewalks to run outside, but there is an adjacent neighborhood to run, if that's your thing. Overall, I like the place, but I do think I would be happier a little less removed.
