This has been a great apartment. The grounds and amenities are nice, maintenance fixes issues quickly, and the office staff is easy to work with. The only issues I've encountered have been the use of the parcel delivery system and people using the recycling dumpster for regular garbage.

Affordable complex that feels safe and quiet. Maintenance is quick to do initial check-in for work orders, but often takes multiple attempts or a long duration to complete them. Complex gate functions about 30% of the time.

Please don’t destroy wooded areas

I moved to this apartment complex because of the beautiful views of the wooded areas surrounding the community, but now the management is destroying them I guess to make room for dog walkers. I have a dog, there’s enough space to walk them already. You don’t have to destroy the wooded areas that actually makes the community stand from the other ones. The old management used to respect the local fauna understanding we were next to a bird preserve, now they’ve set up rat traps everywhere. I’ve lived here enough to know there’s no rats here. There’s local wild animals like rabbits, ringtails, squirrels that also makes this place more beautiful. If dog owners complaint about that it’s because they walk their dogs without leash. If they need more space to walk them, they can take them to a park. Keep the wooded and green areas like they are now. Don’t destroy them cutting down trees

Good facility with many amenities. Easy to find parking spaces. Management supportive to my needs. Quality of the inside of the apartment is average. All work requested were done promptly and correctly except for the drawers in kitchen. HVAC cannot produce enough heat to maintain a temperature above 68 when the outside temperature is below freezing.

I have mixed feeling about this place. The quality of the apartments and the property overall is really good. However, the people in the management are inefficient, impolite and insensitive. I would not recommend this property to my friends.

I have lived here for quite some time and I only experience a problem every once in a while throughout the years that I have lived here, other than that I haven't had any issues or problems. Usually the problem gets fixed right away but this time the guy thought he only had to fix the fob key and when he found out it wasn't the fob key that needed to be fixed is when he said he would have to come back to get the actual garage door to be fixed but never came back to fix it. We are still waiting, we got the email saying that the work order was completed but it was never completed so I don't understand who approved it being "fixed" when they never came back to our apartment.

I have lived at this property since 2017. The Sonterra property is extremely noisy. Mostly younger people have moved in and have no respect for their neighbors. They stomp up and down the stairs all hours of the night and early morning. They throw loud parties until 3am which is in violation of the lease. Courtesy Officer never returns call nor responds to calls. I've recently advised the office on 3 different occasions that I've called the courtesy officer and no one has responded. So this issue continues and is not resolved. Staff Communication is non-existent or horrible at best. After leaving several messages with staff and forwarding emails directly to the Property manager requesting a reply from the property manager, property manager refuses to contact you. When contacting staff directly, they act like you are bothering them. They have a "what do you want" attitude. I have submitted work orders to be told maintenance will be here at a certain day and time. After taking a vacation day, maintenance never shows up and the office never calls or emails to advise they are not coming or it has been rescheduled. So you waste a day sitting home for nothing. This is only one example of the continued issues with Sonterra staff and management. Community has a package room with lockers; however it is not policed by the community and packages are commonly stolen as the property allows deliveries to be thrown on the floor instead of being put in secured lockers. We have requested another locker room to accommodate the additional packages; however, they are more interested in other projects that does not serve the majority of the community. While Sonterra and Bassham properties may be less expensive than other rental properties in the Austin area; be sure to do your research and review BBB complaints, tenant reviews, speak to the present tenants, etc. before renting from Bassham properties. You will save yourself a lot of time and issues in the long run. It's unfortunate this property has been mismanaged for years and Bassham Properties does nothing to correct these issues. My neighbors who have been here for years experience the same issues that I've listed in this survey.

Staff was excellent and the community is really cool. I love being next to the nature preserve. The location is excellent too as you have access to North Austin via 620 and downtown via 2222. Overall, I would recommend 10 out of 10.

I love seeing the growth of this place. From the new community center which is amazing to the dog park which even has benches. Lots of events which we enjoy attending and food trucks! Some days I don't leave the apartment except just to go to an event, the pool, or play outside with my daughter all in the complex. Thank you friendly staff as well. P.S. bring back the Saturday breakfast ??

I love the apartment complex so far. I had issues with a light fixture not being there at all, the oven not working, garbage disposal not working, but maintenance was very nice and apologetic for these not being done before move in. It's a great size. The stairs make it so easy to move in to the higher levels. No bug issues either! It's been a great move so far. I hope to stay here for quite a while.

I love living here! The staff has been so amazing. I LOVE the Zen garden and I appreciate the regular community activities. I'm also super excited about the addition of the dog park. especially since I just adopted a dog. The only area of opportunity I see is that there seems to be trash on the ground quite often. Since I walk my dog frequently, I'm more of aware of it because likes to pick things up. Also, the dog poop stations aren't maintained as frequently as they should be. Recently, the trash can in the dog park was overflowing for about a week before it was emptied, which made me not want to go in there. This also resulted in more poop on the ground because people had no place to put it.
