It's always about money and they want your money and they still won't fulfill their responsibilities to you. Who paint over a water spot? No looking into where it came from until you complain again. Just a horrible experience.

Communication is the key to success and failure. Ashton Creek is failing. We try to call the club house, but noone ever answers. You always get some outside person. When you place a work order in or leave a message for Management to call, they never do. Management always says they didn't know. I have placed 4 work orders in for the same issue, and it still hasn't been fixed. I have left messages for Management to call me numerous times, and they never have. By the time I get off work, the club house is closed. Horrible if you ask me.

None of my requests are ever met in a timely manner. My refrigerator went bad and it took months before they did anything about it. I lost hundreds of dollars in food, electric and purchasing ice. It is still yet to be resolved. That's just one of many major issues.

The apartments are nice on the outside. Appliances break easily. I have had several leaks in my apartment from the apartment above. Maintenance is slow and rude. The management team is nice but they often do not resolve the problem.

Ashton Creek is a good community for family living. On-site management is very responsive and supportive. Professional but friendly and they do take a personal interest in the community. Maintenance well experienced and knowledgeable they also were very professional and friendly and take pride in their work.

It's one of the worst apartments I have ever lived in. The rent is almost $1000 dollars a month and there is a broke dishwasher siting outside my apartment right now. It's been out there for 2 weeks. I have roaches in my apartment as of late and I had the exterminator out here about a week ago to no avail. It's so cold in my daughters room I cannot let her sleep in there at night, and I have on my own dime, insulated her windows. On top of parking and the trash I am so disappointed I moved here.

Ashton Creek is a safe and quiet place to stay. There are frequent management changes but through it all I am satisfied with the community. During the summer, the pool doesn't open until noon though. :( The dumpster area also needs to be better maintained, nasty residents are too lazy to put their trash in the actual dumpster.

The apartment is nice size but the staff provides horrible services. When I first moved into the complex, it was under another management. Since renewing my lease, the property have new management. This management does not believe in ordering parts for items that are broken. The maintenance staff does not know what they are doing. They are completing patch work instead of properly repairing things in the apartment. This have turned into a nightmare.

Too good to be true. Great location and rent is affordable. Seemed like perfect fit for my brother, my fiancée, and I but I was so wrong. Customer service is lousy and management has to be the most greedy, sorry group of human beings I've ever met. I had to spend $30 on raid and roach hotels to battle roaches the first month I moved in. Water heater was leaking the first day. The handle to the stove broke off the first night. It took them almost 2 months to come fix the water heater and stove. Our kitchen sink became defective which flooded the dishwasher the 2nd month. It took them over 2 weeks to come out to fix it. No one in management will return your calls. Then to top it off, my deposit didn't clear until Monday June 6th. Their cut off for rent is the 5th at midnight. I called them on the 2nd and again on the 6th to make them aware of the situation. I dropped the rent off at 8pm on the 6th and they charged us a $100 late fee for ring 20hrs late. We've never been late on a rent payment. These people don't care about you or your family. All they care about is their money. I won't be renewing my lease after my year is up. I wouldn't recommend this place to my family, friends, or even a complete stranger. Absolutely the worst management I've ever seen.

I usually don't write review, but the unprofessionalism between the office management and the mantience workers prompt me to do so. I'm just so disgusted with the attitudes and the lies that they tell us residents.. Everyone needs to be fired and replaced with people who don't hate their job and tell the residents that they are quitting every other day or cursing out the residents .I hate this place.. Stay away.. Believe the other reviews before you move in here..

I have lived at Ashton Creek since late June 2014. If you asked me last summer, I would have told you I regretted my decision. However, a new property management company has taken over, and I have found them to be very responsive and quick to address issues. I agree with other reviewers that the appliances are outdated. But they do work -- just aren't as pretty. I have never seen any bugs in my apartment. Not a one. Since I have been a resident, Pest Control has come in several times to do preventive maintenance. I would recommend this property as the community is pretty and the neighbors are very nice. My only issue here is how trash is disposed -- there is ONE dumpster for the entire community that is a trash compactor. When it is full, other residents just dump their trash outside of the dumpster and it looks terrible. I wish the Ashton Creek staff would invest in another dumpster or figure a better way for us to dispose of waste.

I moved into ashton creek a year ago and have had problems with maintenance the whole time. It takes forever for them to address issues. I waited over 3 months for them to fix a hole in the bedroom wall that they never came back to fix. It was 3 weeks for them to fix a plugged drain in the bathroom. When I moved in the screens in the bedrooms were not installed right and they finally fixed them when my cat fell from the second floor. The office staff are rude and are not sympathetic. My husband passed away 4 months after moving here from ny and they would not work with me to let me out of the lease. The apartments are old and looked nothing like the ones posted on the web site. Appliances are old and there were roaches from day one. For the amount of money for rent there are nicer places and I would look before moving here. I would also recommend seeing an empty apartment and to talk with people living here before signing a lease. I would never recommend ashton creek to anyone and I'm looking forward to moving.

I am moving out of Ashton Creek. I moved to Ashton Creek with my grandmother the summer of last year. When we first moved in we had roaches. However management informed us that the bug issue was due to an infestation in one of the other apartments they had been trying evict a resident out of. They had a man come and bomb out apartment a few times and I have not seen another roach since. My grandmother complains about the rugs often and states how dirty and gross they look but they look fine to me. DO NOT COME IF YOU HAVE BEE ALLERGY. There are soooo many bees all over the apartment we can not open the balcony door. They are all over the complex I have never seen so many bees in my life. The building is old and we have had a lot of problems this past year with various appliances. I have had to call the maintenance people about my bathroom at least once a month. But the apartments are very quiet and in a safe neighborhood.

Former and present office staff are non responsive about fixing things. The apartments are old and falling apart. Appliances need to be replaced. If anything is broken, you're better off fixing it yourself. Gross incompetence. I would not recommend renting here.

The price is great. the apartments are very nice.the location is very convenient. but the staff and maintenance are very dissatisfing. I have been waiting 5 months to get things fixed throughout my house and all they keep saying is they are still on order.

Please see the trash compactor area at Ashton Creek before you consider moving into this apartment complex or investing in Riverstone Group. It is disgusting--I would never have moved here had it looked like this last year. The tenants are complaining, but it continues to be a problem. I HAVE ATTACHED A PHOTO OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TODAY. They used to have a maintenance staff who kept an eye on the grounds, made sure the trash compactor area was tidy, & took care of apartment repairs. Those people are no where to be seen now & everything is going downhill.

Overall it has been a good experience. I've noticed a large turn-over rate in the office, but so far the new staff have been great to work with. As I mentioned a community letter would be a good addition. Also community events would be good. These places need ceiling fans. And one last item. Security officer would be a great addition.

Moving to Ashton Creek was the absolute worst moving experience ever. On move in day my apt looked terrible. The walls were not painted and there were multiple broken fixtures and appliances. There were also maintenance supplies in kitchen drawers and closet doors were missing. Three moths later my closet doors are still missing and appliances are still not fixed and one of my bathtubs does not drain correctly after talking to office and maintenance staff multiple times

Staying at Ashton creek has been mostly good. For several years there were no problems. Then someone broke into the rent box and there were issues from then on. When we had maintenance workers, they were great. Now there are no workers to handle maintenance requests so problems are backing up in the home. I feel like I should fix them when that's why I rent.

Renter BEWARE!!! I've lived here for more than five years. This WAS a nice place to live when there used to be professional, caring people MANAGING this place. Recently there were NO maintenance workers employed here. Over the past few weeks we noticed the girl from the office trying to fix things in the apartments! As for the new maintenance guys: I do not think they will be able to fix all the existing problems plus handle emergency issues. There has been continual turnover here. Each time "they" get a new staff out here, the results are the SAME - lots of promises that there will be major improvements but maintenance issues are never Completely resolved. The office manager can be very RUDE at times. The pool is gross - I don't think its been drained/cleaned in years. I was reassured the pool was safe to use this year but my child complained that she kept smelling bleach long after we got out. (This did not happen in any other pool we visited this summer). If you decide to move here please INSIST on seeing the actual apartment you will move into, otherwise you may get stuck with an apartment that's not clean and has "hidden" issues. If you come here ask LOTS and LOTS of questions. The buildings are getting OLD (and NOT energy efficient) - I think they need a major OVERHAUL. More neighbors are starting to complain about ROACHES. I have not seen anyone from an extermination company in a long while. There's plenty of mold here - just ask around. Oh well. You have been WARNED. (On a positive note, there have been a few ladies that worked in the office - over the past 4 years - that did what they said they would while being helpful and polite). I'm also beginning to wonder about the "relationship" between the management company and the owner or owners and how that's affecting everything else. Who owns this place anyway?

I enjoy living in Ashton Creek. It is quiet/clean for the most part. Lots of grounds work being done, which is nice, but messy in the meantime. I've had many maintenance issues concerning malfunctioning appliances, which have been very inconvenient. Maintenance is usually slow in resolving problems and sometimes do not fully fix issues. I got a great price during a special, but I wouldn't live here at normal price. The staff is very friendly, but often times your concerns do not get resolved and you have to talk to them multiple times. The pool needs some TLC.

The amount of issues on this property are ridiculous. Beginning with the assistant property manager being rude and nasty towards us residents is uncalled for how she is still employed is beyond me. If you dare to even consider living here and I urge you to not I would only talk to the Redhead woman. The safety concerns of sidewalks washing out from rain as well as retaining walls rotting away which will cause many problems in the future. Hearing from other residents about the water leak issues their having as well as my own water leak issues. The windows in these apartments are old and need to be replaced moisture is coming in my windows when it rains and causing water spots and mold on my sills and around the windows itself and maintenance jeeps saying that they can't say it's mold growing but give me a break anyone with a little common sense knows better. My patio floods during a moderate to heavy rain. The dumpster area is always a mess with trash and the compactor is broken more than it works so people just pile their trash outside of it. Getting maintenance out to repair anything is a joke there seems to always be some sort of excuse as to why they can't get anything fixed the only one who seems to know what they are actually doing is the white bearded guy who fixed my air-conditioning. The road around the property is a disgrace and you have to avoid all types of potholes and humps in the asphalt. The children's playground looks like it's about to fall apart and hurt someone if I had children I would not let them play there. And for some reason they can always seem to get the people out to do the landscaping but nothing else can be fixed? The pool is beyond any sort of explanation as to how it's still open you can see a chunk of concrete missing in the bottom close to the deep end the water may be clear but there seems to always be some sort of algae growth on the walls, cracks and missing sections of the pool deck concrete. It's astounding how this place hasn't been shut down. I would not recommend friends, family even sworn enemies to live here. I would even say that I'm embarrassed to tell people I live here.

The original management that was running Ashton Creek when I moved in about a year ago has been totally replaced. I was disappointed in the previous management; however, I see the new office staff doing a much better job. I think they are really trying to make things better for this community. They have always listened to my concerns & done whatever they could to make things right. I see better things down the road at Ashton Creek & I plan to stay on for another year. I really like my apartment & previously looked at five different apartments before deciding that Ashton Creek offered the apartment living I liked best. My apartment has an open floor plan with lots of closets & I am happy living here.

Terrible management! They do not answer the phone and will lie about everything once you finally get to talk to them. You will have to beg and nag to get things fixed. Apartments are decent, but horrible, idiotic management isn't worth it! You don't want to live here unless office staff is fired!
