I moved here from Atlanta, GA and was referred to this location and apartments thru a family member. At first I was a little skeptical about moving to Montgomery until I was introduced to the Legends. I instantly felt comfortable and at home from my first visit and even after moving in. I could name so many things that led to my decision but the number one thing is that the management is very professional and the quality of the community sold itself.

I do not have one single complaint about this community. All staff is extremely friendly and is willing to help when needed. Above and beyond service by everyone. Nice, private community with no problems. Never can hear anyone else's noise. Very quiet at all hours of the day/night.

Friendly and helpful Staff and good rent price. Pet friendly. Fast maintenance service. Little bit far from the stores, but that's what keeps it a quite neighborhood i guess. Love the pet spa and dog park. Very clean from pet poop too. Friendly neighbors.

I love the community. It's located near shopping malls, food places, movie theaters and basically wherever you want to go. It's normally quiet. Although there is a lot building currently, in the neighborhood, but I feel that it's not going to have an affect on the Legends.

I've had such a wonderful experience living here! The staff is courteous and always available. The grounds are well maintained, and safety is the best in Montgomery! I have recommended this complex to many people. I honestly can't imagine living anywhere else in this city.

I have lived here a year and mostly the experience has been a positive one. The complex is mostly quiet and the lawn and shrubs are kept nice, as is the pool. On the downside - there is always trash dropped around the compactor and on warmer days, the whole thing has a nasty odor. Concierge trash is desperately needed! Also, the office hours keep contracting. They are no longer open on Sundays, they close an hour early on Saturdays and are frequently not in the office even when they are "open." Maintenance is usually quick, but it depends who you get as to how well your problem is fixed (one guy always pretends to fix something, but it immediately breaks again). I renewed my lease for another year, but am starting to notice that there are some other properties for the same or less that seem to be a little more resident-friendly, so I may be pulling up stakes at the end of this lease.

My experience living at Legends was very mixed. I was a resident there from 2010 until 2013. The place is very nice, and my apartment was big and spacious for a one bedroom. The manager was nothing but kind and helpful. I think he's still there, which is a great thing. Now to the bad things: I had the worst neighbor ever. It turned out that the guy who had loud parties every weekend and kept me up all night was the groundskeeper for the property. Now imagine how you would feel wanting to complain and an EMPLOYEE of the property you live is making life there unbearable. I finally got up the courage to complain to the manager and several weeks later the groundskeeper finally moved (to another part of the complex). My other complaint is a customer service one: When I first moved in, I was just out of college with no credit background, and I needed my parents to cosign my lease. The leasing agent that was there was very snobbish and did not want to give me the time of day. I currently work as a leasing professional myself in another part of the country with much higher rents, and I let this girl be an example of how not to treat people, whether they have a 0 balance on their bank account or they are a much wealthier prospective resident. This is still one of the nicest places I've lived and my "expensive" one bedroom doesn't feel as pricey now as it did back then. I still would recommend the place for how nice it is, but I've lived at much more peaceful and kind places that have been given 20% ratings.

I found ?black mold? growing in my apartment. While management immediately worked to stop the leak and dry the water; they took 4 weeks to replace the moldy carpet, moldy padding, and moldy trim. My bedroom literally smelled like musty mildew for weeks! To top it off, they painted over the mold that grew on the wall instead of removing it (which is not the industry standard). Then, after putting me through all of that for weeks, they refused 1) to restore my furniture that got wet, 2) to offset my rent (due to the inconvenience), 3) to reimburse me for my expenses caused by the black mold, and 4) to offer as much as an apology for the asthma attacks and other health problems caused by the mold, mildew and 'heavy perfumes' they sprayed (several times when I wasn't home) to try to cover up the situation. Renter beware!

Great apartment community! Very spacious one bedroom apartment, pet friendly. Washer/dryer come with unit. While I have lived here they have updated the exterior of the apartment homes, as well as the pool/patio furniture area. Gym is available. Does not have much equipment, but a Golds Gym is right down the road and I get a great discount through my employment. It is close to the east chase shopping area but still far enough to feel a community sense. I would def recommend this complex to someone

So far, I've been quite impressed with the value for money I've gotten here. It's obvious from the word go that the property managers put great effort forth in maintaining and updating the facilities, and the staff have been open and receptive to any needs or concerns I've had cause to address with them. It's early yet, but thus far I can honestly say that I have no regrets over choosing Legends at Taylor Lakes for my new home.

I was a little nervous moving in here, as the cost was quite a bit more than I was willing to pay. I decided to go with this after seeing how much higher the ratings were on Apartmentratings.com compared with other locations in Montgomery. Shortly after moving in I realized the reviews were accurate and the value is well worth the cost. I've never had any issues with the staff whatsoever, all are professional and accommodating. Joe, the property manager goes above and beyond on everything. I don't visit the office often (pay online) but he always remembers my name and apartment number. It may not seem like a big deal, but it really made me feel like the complex had a vested interest in my happiness. Noise is low, I believe there is a plenty of insulation between units. The units are well sealed and appliances are new. I need my apartment to be cold, and before moving here I was paying $150 a month for electricity on average. After living here over a year I would say my average here is around $90 a month-a not insignificant amount of savings! Neighbors are generally friendly. The grounds are well kept. I've never felt unsafe or uncomfortable here, despite the fact that Montgomery has a horrific crime rating. I've lived in 5 apartments now, to compare any of them to this one would be a gross injustice. I'm moving out of state now for work, they've been very understanding and helpful with regards to the lease break etc. I'm going to miss living here, especially as the cost of an equivalent apartment is going to cost me 50% more!
