In comparison to past apartments, I've been very happy with Aventine Fort Totten. I have minor issues the month the fire alarm went off with such frequency and the difficulty I have making it to the office hours with my work schedule. Other than that, I am very happy here.

I have been living with Mice for 7 months, the maintenance team and leadership have failed to rectify this situation. I was forced to trigger an inspection by reporting this to the City of Washington DC. Apparently, they are hiring a new contractor to handle pest control as the last was incompetent (only took 7 months to realize).

I have lived here for years and safety was my biggest concern I feel safe here. The staff here are always pleasant especially Hugh and Marcus. The new management are implementing more activities for the residents to socialize with one another which is great.

My experience has varied with the changes in management. Right now, I am not pleased with the overall appearance with my building. It desperately needs repainting in some areas and the carpet is disgusting.

Decent place to live with excellent public transit options. Need to up its game when competing with the new apartment complex next door. Only complaint is the random people who squat inside and outside of the property. Needs a better process for identifying non-residents and now allowing them to enter.

Beware all of the renovated units are not the same, I wasn’t aware of this until after I signed my lease. For example in the renovated model all of the appliances are current and updated. I was given a coil burner stove and in the model they display that all renovated apartments have a ceramic stoves. My canbnits are expresso brown and the model is pure white.

Great location! Metro accessible! Very affordable with all the amenities! Great community space. Valet trash pick up! You will not be disappointed! Near by Wal-Mart. Just the community needs a Safeway and walkable bars and restaurants.

Everyone at Aventine is absolutley wonderful, my roommate and I are on the younger side compared to most people who are renting apartments. They explained everything very thoroughly and patiently. It's a great community and I'm so happy to be living there!

We originally chose this complex due to distance from work and public transportation and the rent cost. There is no real neighborhood yet (e.g., shopping, restaurants). The apartment complex has been steadily getting worse over time--maintenance staff do not respond as timely and professionally as they should, solicitors enter our parking lots and buildings despite having key fobs and safety personnel, we are required to pay extra for a valet trash service that does not regularly provide service, and we have very loud neighbors that continue to be loud despite numerous calls to apartment staff.

This apartment is in a great location with easy Metro access and a Wal-Mart within walking distance. Also there is a MOM Organic store less than 5 mins away. The area has a great variety of restaurants, bars, parks, and hospitals. The apartments are very spacious and have updated cabinets and appliances. The leasing team is very knowledgeable and super helpful. They made my moving experience great.This is a great apartment complex with a greater sense of community among residences.

Hello, Recently, I stopped pass to visit a friend that recently became a resident of this property and I stopped to inquire about Aventine Fort Totten. I had a very informative conversation with a M. Brady, I was very impressed with his knowledge off hand about the units, such what was available, price ranges, sizes, and amenities. He also gave an awesome breakdown of the apartment's community. New move in so far I like it. I am only 2 weeks in so I think I'll come and write another review once I'm fully settled in. But so far it has been great. Ammenties are 24 hours, staff is friendly and area is pretty clean. I'm literally across the street from the metro.

I love the new change in managment. At first I was contemplating renewing my lease but after speaking with Galina I definitely can't wait to renew. OMG where do I start. I absolutely loved the apartment complex and how convenient the location is to the metro station. I had the pleasure of receiving a tour from Edie-Marie on Sunday Nov. 19th and she was amazing. She really told my girlfriend and I everything we needed to know to have us completely sold and ready to move in. She was extremely helpful in showing us a numerous of units so we could successfully decide on which apartment unit would best fit our needs. We can not wait to move in and we're very excited with the apartment we chose. We honestly would of never made a decision so quickly without Edie-Marie's guidance and wonderfully personality, we could not thank her enough.

Toured last week. Community offers great specials! One of the main reasons I am deciding to put in an app. When I visited the community it was during the rush hour time so it was a little busy. The leasing agents were a little busy so the manager came from out her office to greet me. That was nice

I am a resident and I've seen the changes that have been implemented under the new property manager. Edie Marie has gone above and beyond for me, she's usually doing multiple peoples job and keeps a positive attitude no matter what the task. I think bringing in a concierge would be a great improvement. Also adding onsite security at night would also be a great improvement.

This place is amazing! I really enjoy how this community has a lot of events for us the residents to enjoy such as comedy shows, pizza night, and even pet grooming. That's just to name a few events. The newly painted gym looks amazing and it's very clean. Last week there was an issue with the fire alarm going off but thanks to the swift intervention of new property manager Galina everything was taken care off and under control. The staff here is very friendly, extremely helpful and very accommodating to everyones needs. I'm very happy to be here!

I came in for a tour last week and was a little hesitant and nervous because I have a housing voucher. I have been to a lot of properties in DC where the leasing people turn their nose up and have attitudes with people with vouchers. I was at Evelyn's desk at first but I think she is new so she directed me to Edie. As soon as I mentioned my voucher she gave me all the information I needed and still treated me like a person without government help. Evelyn chimed in as well with questions and Edie helped the both of us lol. I didn't lease because my voucher did not cover the rent but it finally felt nice to be treated nice. Thank you Aventine Fort Totten. I'm sad I can't live there but I am happy to know that their are leasing staff that don't have attitudes and I liked my tour. Thank you.

This is a great apartment community in DC. The prices are great compared to some other locations, and the units are upgraded. The location is awesome because you're right near Fort Totten Metro, and there's shopping too. Its easy to get to and from here too because of the part of DC its in. The staff are all professional and friendly. Edie in particular was super nice when I was asking questions and she made me feel right at home from day 1. She is always so professional. Seriously some of the best staff I've seen in an apartment. You won't regret living here! Definitely visit and check it out.
