My husband, children, and I moved to Bennett Creek in the Spring of 2013. We are so happy we did, I have lived in a lot of apartments around town, Bennett Creek is my favorite by far. Our community is racially and culturally diverse, there are a few older people but I would say majority mid life and younger, and a lot of families with children. In the summer the pool is the place to be, it is beautiful and refreshing! The kids all end up playing together and there are plenty of opportunities to meet others or just lay out and relax. The pool and Jacuzzi have been closed a few times this summer but have been quickly reopened each time. Sadly I have not participated in any of the neighborhood wide events but management creates so many opportunities for you to get involved and meet your neighbors if it's not happening organically. The location is great, so close to JTB and 95 which makes it really easy getting around town. It is very close to a couple of charter schools, a few private schools, and we really like the neighborhood school. The management and staff are friendly and attentive. Recently they exceeded my expectations when assisting me in sending vital documents to a third party. Here are a few of my dislikes, just to keep it real. I have three children all under the age of five and I don't love that if my kids look at the blinds (to the balcony) wrong they fall down. There are washer dryer connections in the units and when we signed our lease we had to rent the washer and dryer from a particular company. Water is with coupled with your rent, not JEA. Over all it has been a great experience for our family! We have friends who lived here before buying a house and they always joke about wanting to move back into Bennett Creek! I would like to address some of the issues I see noted in other people's comments. The gate usually does not work but I feel super safe here. The hallways are brightly lit at night and and plenty of lights around the grounds. There is dog poop here and there but I've never been shocked at the amount. I read one review that made reference to the "little blonde manager," I believe, and it kinda made me mad knowing how caring and attentive she has been to our family. Happy looking!

My family and I moved here in 2013. The funny thing is that when we lived in NJ I used this property as an example to my wife of the type of property I wanted us to live in. It's ironic that we actually ended up renting here. I love the property, the staff are wonderful and treat us like family, and this is the ONLY place where I feel like I'm a part of a community. We've gotten to know some of our neighbors to the degree where they can show up with their kids, share a meal, watch a movie, and all the while all our children are playing. We all go the pool to relax with our families together. We get to know each other on a personal level. I've never had this kind of community in NJ. This is possible because of the environment and atmosphere that is created by Bennet Creek and its staff. It's a beautiful place to live, my experience of the people has been fantastic and I truly feel like when I'm home I'm on vacation (provided that the kids don't have the unit is disarray).

I like living here but things break around the condominium and don't get fixed. Water fixture in pool and jacuzzi not working since July. The landscape is not being handled properly and there's dog poop all over the place. Nobody ever cleans it.

The staff is just the best here. They are very responsive to any request. The community was for the most part a nice community to move in to, however it seems lately that there are more noisy, less considerate people in the conplex.

I am a current resident here at Bennett Creek and let me just say so that everyone knows how rude the management is. The property manager and the assistant lady lack empathy and symphony. If you have a problem they just looks at you like you're crazy. The rules here are ridiculous. You have to pay for lightbulbs to be replaced and blinds! They're tightwads if you ask me, trying to get every ounce of money they can get. I pay a lot of money to live in a place where I can't even sleep at night. And when you call to get someone to address the situation you might as well forget it. I hope to God there never is a real emergency because it will be the end of this property if there is. The management says they have to witness something before they can do anything about it. Unbelievable, in all my years living at an apartment community. I will not be renewing, in fact I might just be breaking my lease here. Maybe if they replaced the management more things might get done around here. The little blonde property manager avoids almost every problem and situation you have to make an appointment with her and the assistant doesn't assist with anything. That's why the gate is always broken, dogs are loose, animal droppings aren't getting picked up, noise gets louder and louder, things break and fall apart, etc. Good luck to the next person who takes over my apartment. That's all I have to say.

Great place to live. The apparence and condition of these apartments are the best in the neighborhood. For this price you cannot find anything better. The pool, the clubhouse and other common areas are well kept. The location is excellent, very close to downtown, I-95, Town Center Mall and other great locations.

Today, 08/29/2015. 4:40PM My fiancé & I walked into the leasing office. The woman was sitting in her office with another resident or whomever & the whole time the resident was sitting there, the woman was on the phone. We walked into the leasing office at 4:18 and at 4:40 she finally comes out after being on the phone and says, "I am so sorry I was on the phone with my boss & are you guys here for a tour". We said yes. She said well we stop touring at 4:30, and if you guys want to come back we are here tomorrow. I will never come back to this place. If you are going to run a business, your boss should have told you to service the clients & then get back to me. The woman did not tell us her name, did not even offer an package of information. If the staff is this rude, I would not want to want live here. Thanks but no thanks. & then another woman walked in looked like she had come from getting something to eat , who worked there. She did not even asked if she could help us with anything. She just kept walking through the lobby.

The apartment itself is pretty nice and roomy. The thing I dislike the most is there are hardly any cupboards in the kitchen. The dishwasher is pretty loud and you must rinse your dishes first because it doesn't drain well and leaves food on the bottom and then mold grows. The neighbors above us are very loud and you can hear them walking. I think they walk louder than normal people. It's annoying. Also, people don't like to close their front doors, they let them slam shut and thus you can hear all (yes all) the doors in your building being shut and wait for it, it shakes the building too. The stairwell and landings are dirty and need to be cleaned. The pool and fitness center are nice as I have been to both. There are a lot of speed bumps too, so be prepared for that. So our rent is $912, plus you pay $25 a month for valet trash, water/sewer is not included and ours runs about $44 a month. You will get a bill for your rent, trash, water and they charge you a $5 service fee for that every month too. So our rent is actually about $986 a month. You are only able to get AT&T for internet. Not sure about cable as we don't do cable. Life here is ok, but am anxiously waiting to move. The apartment itself like I said is nice if you can overcome all the other problems.

The units are beautiful however the entry doors have springs on them so they close quickly as soon as the handle is released. If a hand is not kept on the door while closing, there is an apartment shaking bang. Not pleasant when your neighbors constantly slam the door EVERY time they go in or out all hours of the day and night. When there are multiple levels (here there are 3 floors) that can be a lot of banging.

at the beginning it was a nice place to live but right now is not. The only good thing about Bennett Creek is the staff. The facilities are not well-maintained The selection of the people who leaves here is very poor . There are a lot of issues with Bilanz disturbance police coming almost every weekend. They had a gene of the complex is very poor there's dog poop everywhere I nobody cleans

I love the community and the staff. I would recommend this community to friends and family. The residents is also very friendly and nice. I definitely plan on renewing my lease this year. I hadn't had any problems. I think what I like most is how help and warm the staff is and how the community is kept up.

Overall the 8 months at Bennett creek have been great except for how sound echo's through the doors from the breezeways. Also some neighbors smoking in the breezeways also a nuisance. The common areas are very nice and usually not to busy. Service requests have been answered quickly and no major issues.

I love living in this community. I fell in love with my apartment the first time I walked in to it. As long as it stays the way it is, management and maintenance wise, I will be here for the long haul. I love that it is family oriented. My daughter has many friends here.

We moved in to Bennett Creek in 2013 and were very impressed with the new, spacious apartments and the friendly staff. This is not a cheap place to live, but we thought it would be worth it to be somewhere 'nice.' We were led to believe this would be a place populated with young professional couples, families, etc., and we were looking forward to being able to relax in a clean, quiet environment with like-minded people. For the first year and a half, the place was idyllic. We were happy with everything, but then things started to go down hill. Here's what we noticed: Many apartments were still empty, and suddenly, lots of larger families started moving in... Nearly every weekend, people were moving in. Shortly after, a lot of the couples/families that we knew as our neighbors, started moving out! We soon realized, as did our neighbors, that the sorts of people moving in were not exactly the people you'd want as your neighbors. Bennet Creek had started marketing themselves to the "subsidized housing" market on Craigslist, etc. So suddenly, a whole different feel came over the complex. Loud, thumping music at all times of day/night; our new upstairs neighbors would get into violent altercations that would wake me in the dead of night; and we'd find chicken bones and other stinky food remains left sitting in our trash bin outside our front door (bear in mind we have to pay $25 a month for valet trash, who will only take bagged trash, and not food remains that have been dropped inside - we have to clean that up ourselves unless we want to deal with cockroaches!). It seemed people would sit on those bins at night eating, smoking, and thinking it was ok to turn this once beautiful complex into an absolute dump. Cigarette butts now line our staircase, kids run up and down the stair wells screaming, slamming on doors (where are their parents??), and we're paying top dollar for the privilege! (One other, unrelated point: The gate has never worked, so this is NOT a gated community. They are trying to fix it, but each time they do, it's broken again within a couple weeks.) It's such a shame this happened, as it's got great potential. But please, check Craigslist, and you'll see they are offering these 1100$ plus apts, for 700/800$, and your neighbors are unfortunately no longer civilized human beings, at least not in our experience. I do realize that people who don't earn much money are not automatically going to be noisy/unpleasant, but that has been our experience. This is essentially a swanky looking ------. Definitely wouldn't recommend. Take your hard-earned money to a complex that aims to attract clientele that want to maintain a clean, civilized environment to relax in and call home. A luxury apartment complex this is not.

Overall I like living here. I just wish the jacuzzi, the pool water feature and the gates worked more often than not. I also wish the community was a little harder to get in, gates open all day and free access to people on foot make the pool be always full of people who don't live here. Landscape is crying for help and there's dog poop everywhere you look. If people don't pick up after their dogs I wish the community staff would take care of it.

I have been at this Community approximately 6 months and if you can get used to the hustle of your neighbors stomping on your head due to the construction of the buildings it is great! The pool is always sparkling and the amenities are always clean.

My experience with this community is overall good. However the check/money order rent payment method is terrible. The fact that the employees don't verify proper access of people in the community leads to a bunch of people just coming in and using the facilities all the time.

The apartment was wonderful when I first moved in no issues. it still is a nice community but the two issues I have is parking and keeping the breezeway clean. If your looking for a parking space in front of your building forget it! Now that everyone has the big trucks or either two or more people living in the apartment be ready to walk far just to get to your apt. I know the breezeway can not be spotless, but it can be kept up even it means you need to repaint the whole breezeway. Its embarrassing to invite guests and the breezeway looks a mess with stains.

Bennett Creek is a wonderful community to live in. The neighbors are friendly. The office staff is friendly and informative. The maintenance staff always gets the work done fast and efficient. The location is unbeatable! It is conveniently located to several dining establishments and entertainment venues. It is a gated community, so you feel safe and secure in your own home. I would recommend Bennett Creek to my family and friends.
