Office staff
Willowbrooke Apts. are still a beautiful place to live, however the office staff needs to be replace, especially the manager. She is slow to respond and has a terrible attitude.

Only Here for the Location
I have lived here for approximately 3 years. The reasons I chose WillowBrooke were the location and price. In that time my rent has increased $60/month (including an outrageous increase in the monthly pet fee from $10 to $25 per month!). I'm not sure where the extra rent is going. My appliances, water heater, and A/C are ancient and have almost all been broken on at least one occasion. They constructed a guard booth for the front of the complex after several apartments were burglarized. A guard occupied the booth for the first couple of months, but now it is vacant. Not to mention the bizarre onsite improvements (like planting flowers right before a cold front). Additionally, the staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I hate to approach the staff if I need a repair or to pick up a package because all I get is a "how dare you bother me with your requests" attitude. I am a good tenet and am always polite, therefore this is not deserved. I love the location, but am looking for a new place when my lease is up.

Good location, mediocre apartments, poor mgmt
We lived in Willowbrooke for a year and had the following problems: constant cockroach problems, snakes came in through bottom of door, dirt in the plumbing that came out sinks/toilets, flooding issue through the wall/ceiling/window, would not allow grill. When we left, we cleaned the apt better than when we moved in, plugged all holes etc, however our dog had chewed a small section of the carpet that could have been replaced (went as far as to get quote). Mgmt refused to give us back deposit of well over a hundred dollars when they had already kept the non-refundable $150 and the $250 pet deposit. Constant problem with girl in office being rude and unprofessional. The apt was decent for the price, and in a good location. Depends what you're looking for but we would never go back. Forgot to mention the many break-ins that occurred over a month long period.

Nice, if you like green lakes.
I have lived here for over 2 years. The overall place is adequate. The lakes, which you pay a small amount more to be on, are just nasty! They are more sewage ponds than lakes. The lawn guys blow grass in them almost every week and I wouldn't let my dog go near it. They should really clean these up. As many people have said in other reviews, the office staff is not the best. They have better hours than most bankers that I know and if you need them on a weekend, forget it. The Asst Manager is just awful. They should really consider getting rid of her. She gives the whole place a real black eye. There is alot of construction going on but, it's good they are fixing the buildings in need of repair. I can't remember a time when they were not working on a building here. Would bet they are going to sell them in the near future. If you work late shift, not a great place to live cause you can't sleep past 8 am on week days cause of all the pounding and noise.

Highly unrecommended!
One of the reason I chose this apartments is because of the great location. I didn't expect to have the extra roommates (LARGE roaches and bugs) though. I am always told that they increase just because of the weather. Not only do I question the management of this facility, but I question if my apartment does actually receive pest control every month. I can believe everything that I have read regarding the unprofessional and rude nature of the staff here. I would have continued my search for another apartment if I was not in such a rush to relocatie because of the rude and unresponsive nature of the staff even before I got the apartment. And to make matters worse I did not have hot water for my first few days in the apartment. I then had to wait on the after hours maintenance, who always seems to have to take a 20 minute smoke break before coming back to correct the problem. Not the most comfortable situation for a single person. Unfortunately, I have had to deal with the hot water issue a couple times now, and my year lease is not even up yet. Also, I would not recommend that you have guest on the property that don't look like they "belong" here. They say that contract personnel are suppose to wear clothing addressing the company that they represent, but this does not seem to be very accurate. However, my guest was stopped and questioned because he looked like a worker (wearing normal clothes and driving a regular car) that was not dressed properly. If you take the time to read this, I do not recommend this establishment! For the amount of money that I pay I am very dissatisfied. I would sooner move to Carlton Arms next time around. At least I would not have such a bug problem!

I wouldn't live there again!
After living there, I found that the rudeness of the female staff, public affections with her male friend,in front of Man,women,or child was a bit too much. The maintenance men whom I feel is understaffed to accommodate the problems that occur on a daily basis or the lack of motivation to do so! The parking at times are insufficient, especially in from of the Mail/Laundry Room. My spouse, whom is handicap often found that handicap parking was being utilized by another tenant, (non-handicapped). Management did not enforce this due to not wanting to offend another tenant who would move out also! My advice for them is "You don't have to respect us! But "DONT DISRESPECT US!"

Think Twice !
Ive been here for 2 1/2 years and I see major rennovations going on in certain buildings. I can only wonder why since this isnt just normal maintenance??? Besides that, on 2/21/07 while walking in to the office to speak to the manager, I find our newly required Asst. Manager once again being abruptly rude to fellow workers in front of residents. Not very professional in any means. But I can only assume the Manger gets what she pays for. Over all the complex is friendly and mostly tolerant.

Love Willowbrooke
I've been at Willowbrooke for nearly two years. I've had my share of problems, but the staff has always been right there ready to help. Maintenance responds ASAP and the office staff is always ready and able to provide me with information or anything else I need. The location is perfect...the surroundings so beautiful!

Beware Willowbrook Office Staff
I have lived at Willowbrooke Apts. for over 2 years. I really love it, however the present office staff is probably the meanest, rudest pair I have ever encountered.

Unprofessional Staff!
I do not live at this complex, but I visited in hopes of learning more about it. Instead, I was confronted with an unfriendly and unprofessional staff that seemed to know nothing about their rental vacancies and such. I have never been treated so rudely by a person who I thought would be open and willing to take my business. To those even thinking about visiting Willowbrooke; avoid this leasing office! I feel sorry for those that have to deal with this staff on a regular basis. I'm not surprised to see others commenting on their unprofessional attitudes.

Prospective Resident
I inquired about an apartment at WillowBrooke and unfortunetly there were no availablilites but I will keep trying. This property is situated at such a great location and their leasing personel was very helpful. I asked a million questions and she was never rude to me and even took me to see the model. Which in other communties it's like pulling teeth to see the model. I don't know about maintence or some of the other stuff but based on the looks, the apartments and the staff, I will be persistent and keep trying to get an apartment there.

things have changed...
I started my lease here last August and when I forst moved here I was hardly impressed. Getting items fixed took longer than I expected...but this past srping the office staff changed...The one person who seemed to be rude to me was no longer there and since then things have only gotten friendlier and speedier in both maintenance and the office. As to the noise problem, I guess that depends on where you are in the complex, but that can be a problem with any situation of close living quarters. My only complaint about the noise is that they like to cut the gras at 7 a.m. To all the earlier posts who have not been happy with the staff, I would say give willowbrooke another chance. ITs a nice neighborhood

A well-managed apartment complex
I moved in early Feb this year. So far, i have only seen positive things. My apartment is very spacious and neighbors are friendly. Building is situated in a great location. Maintenance is quick to respond (you only have to call once). <br><br>I would really have to think hard about even a single complaint.<br><br>Oh, by the way, I see lots of comments made of bad attitude of office people but i have never experienced and negative behaviour.<br><br>I would highly recommend this place.

My home is great
I've only lived at WillowBrooke for a year (I just renewed my lease) and I think it's a great place to live. Kara is so nice and the rest of the staff is so friendly. If I need something repaired,it gets taken care of the same day I call. I love the pool and clubhouse and all my neighbors are great. I don't have anything but good things to say about this place.

stuck up for what?!?!?!
I don't currently live in willobrook, but was interested in looking for an apartment there. The first time I went the lady took one look at me and said "you need to make 4 times the rent and you can't possible make that on your own"..... at the time I was 20 yrs old and makeing twice as much as she made i'am sure. that was 2 years ago. I went back there last month and instead of a friendly greeting I got a look from top to bottom and a line that in any sales job would have gotten them fired....."we don't have anything open and a long wait list"......Even thought the apartments look cute on the outside (because i was never givin the chance to look at them inside) I would never ever move in there or recommend anyone to. Why live somewhere where you have to put up with people who think they are still in high school?????

Great Place to Live
I have lived at WillowBrooke for almost two years and I intend to stay. It is a very pretty community with a beautiful lake view right off my balcony. I am a single mother and my daughter loves it here too. I am close enough to downtown where I work so I don't have a long drive. There is a new shopping center across the street with great shops and restaurants. I have lived in several other apartment communities, but I find WillowBrooke to be the best. The manager and maintenance staff are the greatest.

Think twice
When we first moved into Willowbrooke we loved it. It's a great location and very pretty grounds. We had never had a problem with anyone and the manager was always nice to us. Unfortunately, the present assistant manager is horrible. I don't know a single resident that she hasn't been rude to. She will not let anyone talk to the manager without going through her, so forget about it if you have any complaints about her. We lived there several years and we were never a problem to anyone. When we spoke to the manager, we never were loud, argumentative or disrespectful in anyway. But she has chosen to make herself unavailable, which is a shame because she was always helpful in the past. With the price of rent, we would expect courteous service. We refuse to pay for someone to be rude to us, especially someone you have to deal with on a monthly basis or more, so we had to leave.

What a bunch of office morons!
Oh my. Never have I been so turned off in my life. I went in the office to ask about a 1 bedroom and the chicks in there were just awful!!!!! They treated me like I was a rat. They were very quick to let me know that because they are so, so wonderful, they have a waiting list that I couldnt possibly want to be on. How rude! They didnt even give me a chance to talk. And like the other poster said, who the heck do they think they are? They work in an apt complex, for god's sake. I'd rather pay more money to live somewhere that I'm valued.<br>

Crime & noise
There have been tons of vehicles broken into, and the noise is unbearable. You get woke up all hours of the night. You call the office and nothing is done about it. Can't wait to get out.

Location may be the reason to live here....noise may be a problem depending on what area you live in
Location is great. I hear from many people in the community that one girl in the office is rude and down right arrogant. I never had that problem, but I don't go in the office much. It is what it is. I hear from others that they have a waiting list and she will let you know it.<br> <br>There are cars in the neighborhood that are not residents. A crew of 3 to 4 white vans & about 6 cars or extra trucks come into the community about 6:30AM in the morning. There's about 6 extra cars that stay in this area by people who do not live here. Their vans make noises, including the slamming of the doors. They horse around yelling loudly and some morning cussing like they are in their own business parking lot. It gets worse as the months go by and they leave their cars or not depending on the situation. Sometimes they loiter up to 45 minutes. I know because I'm right there on the first floor. One of my neighbor claims to have told the offive staff. There is no parking system, so anyone can park here. There is a broken down vehicle and one with a flat that just sit there.<br> <br>I would recommend Willowbrook for location only. The maintenence workers are not reliable and they are not considerate of your privacy. You may be sleeping or in the shower. They will show up anytime & come in your apartment yelling maintenance. They will not give a time or even a day that they may be there. The stoves are pretty old, no microwave. If it wasn't for the location, this place may have a big problem. It appears to be all about them.<br><br>I could only recommend if someone was needing this location only<br>

I currently live in Willowbrook Apartments- and the funny thing is, that from reading all of the reviews, there is one common complaint- the management!! Which I totally agree with! Surely they have seen these reviews, and you would think that they would be a little bit nicer... but I guess not. They try to make you feel inadequate, or under-qualified...which is pretty pathetic because (1) they work for an apartment complex- who are they to judge? and (2) they LIVE in the apartments too- just like us! Haha I think it's funny!

Rude Staff!
I have never lived here, but I dealt with the office staff on several occasions. I actually wrote a review detailing my experiences, as a warning to potential renters. For some reason, my review was deleted. It did not contain profanity, and the only name I mentioned was the name of the one lady in the office who was NOT rude to us. I do not see where I violated the user agreement, but I will repost the original review now and delete any parts that may have caused the review to be deleted originally. I'm sure the staff at Willow Brooke had something to do with it being removed, but that won't stop me from sharing what happened to my husband and I when we looked into renting here.<br>__________________________________________<br>My husband and i were very interested in moving here, at first. The area <br>was great, and although the apartments are older, they were very nice <br>looking. We went in there one day and the first thing that a member of <br>office staff said to us was "We're operating on a waitlist that's really, <br>really long." I mean, this came out of her mouth in place of "hello." <br>We didn't ever get a "hello<br>Hmm, ok, we said. We aren't moving <br>for several months. We'd like to see an apartment, and then likely be <br>placed on your list. She replies with, "Well, right now.. there's some, <br>ah, construction going on, and we can't get back there where the model <br>is at."<br>Hmmmm, again. We press her and ask when we WILL be able to <br>see it. She says, over the weekend, rather reluctantly.<br>So, seeing as <br>how we don't currently live in Lakeland, we decided to call first <br>before driving down there over the weekend. A lady answered the phone and we <br>explained to her what happened and asked if we could see an apartment <br>that day (not sure if the lady on the phone was the same lady that we <br>met a few days prior). She replied with, "We never said that. We don't <br>have construction. Our model has been accessible. I don't know what <br>you're talking about. I was here all last week."<br><br>HMMMM, again, this <br>time louder. We went down there and a woman named XXXX talked to us <br>and showed us the apartment. I must say, XXXX was pretty nice. No <br>complaints about XXXX. <br><br>While XXXX was taking our information <br>down and talking with us, 2 women that were in the back office were <br>constantly, and I mean CONSTANTLY, interrupting XXXX while she was dealing <br>with us. XXXX had to get up and leave the desk 2 or 3 times. The 2 <br>ladies did not excuse themselves or even offer us an apologetic smile. <br><br><br>So, anyways. We still liked the apartments, and figured we could <br>put up with a couple of RUDE young ladies if need be, so we had XXXX<br>put us on the wait list.<br><br>A week later, I got a little nervous. I <br>mean, who's to say that we were actually on the list? From what I saw <br>of the rest of the staff, I wasn't leaving anything to chance. <br><br><br>At this point, I've since called 4 times and left messages, and emailed <br>8 times. Yes, that's 12 attempted contacts in the past 2 weeks. Have <br>any of them replied? No, they have not. I've sent the emails to BOTH of <br>the email addresses on their website. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. <br><br>I <br>don't know what caused them to be so unprofessional. Apparently they <br>think their apartment complex is just the bee's knees, or something, and <br>that they don't have to be polite to people because the apartments will <br>do all the work for them. <br>___________________________________________<br>And as an update, I finally did receive an e-mail response from a staff member at Willow Brooke. None of my "why did this and that happen" questions were addressed, all she said was that they don't have regular e-mail access. <br><br>It's funny how last month there were 3 or 4 negative reviews on this site, and now they are all deleted. No accusations, just an observation.<br><br>
