This community is serene and beautiful with lakes and other amenities. However apartments are old and doesn't have washing machines inside. That's been a hassle for many reasons. Cooling system is also old and doesn't work that well. Apart from these it's a beautiful place to live.

It is close to I75 and I 4. It is a nice quiet place to live, close to restaurants and grocery stores. It is about one hour from the beach. The location is about thirty minutes from downtown Tampa. It nice to have a security gate.

I love Carlton Arms North! I have lived here for over a decade and the service has always been consistently excellent. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They take maintenance requests seriously and the upkeep of the complex is great. Highly recommend!

we just moved into the apartment and it suits us. we chose Carlston Arms over other complexes for many reasons. the area is the most wonderful place we have been to. forest and lakes, close to shops, convenient car interchange. we came from Europe to the USA, and the appearance of red brick houses reminds us of old Europe. it can help make you happy when you feel homesick. everything is very conveniently arranged on the territory: a large swimming pool with a view of the lake, a laundry and a sports hall, a tennis court, all of which you can use as residents of the complex. price! we were surprised that we would pay so little for these cool apartments, this was also a key point why we chose Carlston Arms. Thanks to our manager Katie who did everything at the highest level, all the staff here are very polite and ready to help at any time. we love our patio and soon there will be lots of flowers!!! we are 100% satisfied

Very well maintained community. The office staff and maintenance staff is amazing. Very clean and peaceful community with very nice views. Overall very good value for the rent that you pay. The only problem is that the kitchen is really small.

Overall experience has been good. Have only had 2 times that I have had to follow up with maintenance requests that were not addressed in a timely manner. Water usage should be metered and not based on # of people/sq. footage/#of bathrooms in unit.

SLEEZY BUSINESS PRACTICES

I've lived at Lake Carlton Arms for nearly 6 years but recently under new management, it has turned into a horrible place to live. We use to have the sewage and water included into the rent Under new directives, they now charge you for these utilities but outsourced them which are now cheap and poor service. The fees are almost $200 above your rent now and the services suck. I still have garbage not picked up for nearly a week. If you are on a fixed income, DO NOT COME HERE. Although you sign a lease, the amounts they now exploit from tenants go up each month and there are no meters out here. These new additional fees are so bad, I've seen an elderly lady cry and they DON'T CARE! This place had such a good environment and people lived here for years because of the good policies and great service. NOW, it all sucks!!! Neighbors are moving out... The services you are forced to pay for are substandard. My countertops are dated and rusted, my toilets are rusted, the carpet is raveling and they want to raise my rent and glue together my faucets instead of replacing them. They will NOT allow you to see your apartment before you move in so be careful. The apartments they show you are NOT what you get. DO NOT RENT FROM LCA. THIS PLACE IS NOT A GOOD FAMILY ENVIRONMENT. NO METERS HERE. THE BOOK KEEPING ON MY ACCOUNT WAS ALWAYS WRONG AND STRESSFUL.

This place is absolute GARBAGE! If I could give 0 stars, I would. They make you sign a lease and pay as well as welcome you to the property like all is well, then they pull the rug from under you for 2 minor blemishes in rental history over a 2 year span (even though your current apartments are willing to provide a letter of recommendation). You have to be nearly perfect to live in their old fairytale apartments. Also, when they find that you will not be approved their whole attitude changes towards you and they speak to you like you're a bum off the streets asking for change. Absolute GARBAGE! Not to mention, in order for them to move forward with all background, income and credit checks I had to let my current apartments know that I was moving (Notice to move). So now, I've given up my current apartment and I still have nowhere to live because I turned down a nice condo because Carlton Arms told me everything was set and had me sign the lease only to come back and pull the rug from under me. Now I sit still apartment searching with less than 1 month remaining before I have to be out. Now rental prices have soared or there is not availability in most places. Shame on these apartments and everyone working in the office. Carlton Arms North, YOU SUCK!

I stayed in this community for 1.5 years.Carlton Arms North is a very beautiful community and their rent rates are very reasonable. t has a beautiful nature view and Lake. I will give 5 star to their maintenance team. The quality they provide is great.Staffs are great and very responsive. Their lease breakage fee is very minimum. In simple words i can say I was in Heaven.

Good friend and former roommate of mine applied here. Her fiance makes over $50,000 a year. They applied for a townhome, were told that they were approved, given a move-in date, lease was signed. The final piece of business was documentation that she had been removed from her previous lease. When this was provided a week later (previous property manager was slow to communicate), she was informed that the application was now denied due to credit. Credit requirements are fine, but telling people that they are approved and then yanking the carpet out from underneath them at the last second is not an ethical way of doing business.

Been here nearly two years. It's been quiet and response to maintenance issues has been adequate I suppose. It's overall a decent place to live. Me and my girlfriends cars were both broken into however and the Property Manager is a larger lady about 50 years old who is simply AWFUL! It's almost as if she is TRYING to provide bad customer service...HOW THE HELL DID SHE GET THE JOB? She made it seem like it was my fault my car was broken into! Seriously now. The other employees are for the most part sweet and nice except this other very little old lady who is also just Awful like the property manager. They refuse to fix my A/C and claimed I broke it, they also refuse to fix my sliding glass door which leaks every time it rains. They may try to charge me for it....I am happiest when I do not see the maintenance crew or the property manager or the tiny old lady.....these are not happy people and should be replaced : / not worth the money...if you can buy...buy ur own place

Stayed here for over a year, and the staff was always terrible. Overall clean, and decent safety, but staff is very rude. They would always give my friends or girlfriend hassle about the temp tags on the car if they ever dared to stay over. One weekend me and my girlfriend were going away for a trip, and figured out get a tag and you can park you car here for just a few days. She loves an hour away. Unbelievably they denied us a temp tag for two 2 days! It was an insane hassle, and put us way behind on our trip. You could say I could have checked. Etc...but 2 days only after you have been a great tenant in every way...pretty unreal. Never been so frustrated with a staff, because this and other problems they were always slow and rude.

The maintenance team at Carlton Arms North are all so knowledgeable. I know that I trust them with any repairs that need to be made and they will know exactly how to go about fixing it.

This was a wonderful place to move to. I came to work at USF from out of state and needed to feel safe and secure as a single female. I met lots of USF people there. The laundry rooms were great, the pools are great, and everyone is nice. Love the inner walkway around the lakes. The ladies up front are helpful, kind, professional. It was a great place to be, which is why the occupancy rate is so high. I would have preferred to pay a lower rent, but at least I was safe and able to focus on other things.
