BEST OF GWINNETT..Yeah right Dontlet the appearance of the apartment fool you. The apartment itself are nice, maintanence is good, office staff is so so. Management and local cooperate office are horrible. They have avoided, lied and denied that my water meter is faulty, after their maintanence and water tech guy identified that the non working meter was the cause of my high water/sewer bill. Ironically I also pay the water company for pest control ...??? They use a contracted water company that never answer billing/service questions directly and keep no record of the service reports. Actually the tech guy was a ghost, they have no idea who came to my home and identified my water meter was broken nor a report. I wonder how many more residents meter are faulty??? These companies all benefit each other one way or another so they lie, deny, avoid and pass off issue to each other, that never get resolved. Attention fellow resident check your water/sewer bills and also check your water meters?

I have lived here for four years and have never had any problems. Everyone in the office is great. Maintance takes care of problems ASAP. Safety have never been a issue. Would have stayed but bought a house. The work out center is garbage. Join a gym. Great pool.

Overall, this is a pretty nice place to live. My husband and I have lived here for almost three years and have been very fortunate not to witness anything major happening. When people start to complain about apartments on this site, I have to wonder if they are somehow upset for some other reason. If you live in an any apartment, you should come to expect some level of noise. Anytime we call for maintanence, they came asap and yes there was a break-in within the community, but I appreciated the fact that management kept eveyone abreast of what was going on. The gate does stay broken, but I think it's pretty common as far as apartments goes due to non residents trying to get in. We will be moving in Feb. only because of change of employment and the distance is too much. I say don't be scared off by the nay sayers on this site. Pay your rent and for the most part life should be okay!

2010 Worst Apartments EVER!!
I have lived here for just 3 months and I am ready to move. The gate NEVER works, The noise level is unbelievable. It doesn't make any sense to complain as the management never act act on it. Day and night the residents above me are extremely loud. I have to call and visit the office multiiple times for any work orders. Worst of all, we keep getting letters about crime and break-in in the complex. Management truely does not care about the residents. Oh.. and the water bill has gone from $40 to $50 to $70. I wouldn't recommend this "hell" to anyone!

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!
Moving from another state,it is hard to guess what places are safe or unsafe. These apartments were one of the only ones which had no problem with bugs or violence so we decided to give it a try. What a mistake! I will say the only good thing about this place is the apartments are huge inside. But here all the negatives:The walls are paper thin;neighbors below you are a problem as well as next to you! The gate which you believe will keep others away who do not live here out,NEVER works! I have watches so many people just walk through the gate, who do not live there, to use our pool! The ultimate is,our apartment has been broken into;along with another apartment in broad daylight!! Thank God we were not home but it's scary to know that people will do this in an apartment complex in the day and no one sees anything! As another person stated, the water bill is crazy! Two people has a bill of $60!? Although the complex has mostly decent people who live there, you will see even when taking a tour, that this place is rapidly becoming a ------;just like the apartments nearby. If you are not familiar with Atlanta,be smart and DO NOT MOVE HERE!You will soon regret it.

As apartments go Not Bad
My room mate and I have lived here almost 1 year, there are some things that are not great, I.E. the parking is the worst I've ever seen, and the gates are a pain. The walls are extremely thin, however, overall I have enjoyed living here and have felt safe the whole time. The Maintainance staff is excellent. Especially Reggie, I have never had a problem that wasn't fixed within 24 hours. The water is another story, can't understand how my water bill can be 92.00 for 2 people but other than that its a good place to live. It is an apartment people, not a private dwelling

the worst thing since the greater deacatur
I was one the first to live in these buildings. When it was known as Preston Park it was know as an above adverage living complex. Now then when you have a leak it was fix asap, but now its just like pulling teeth in the kitchen. As a former occupant of Century Park life got worst once they transitioned over like instantly. Now as Preston Park There was hardly any people wondering that we did not know, but once the change came I lost my entire livelyhood. I had a work vehicle stolen and the only responce from the front was, we cant help you in any way. the same company owns the complex thats full of ignorance on Indian Trail. Its almost like they tranfered their hood over to tear down the better living.

New staff is horrible! Place has gone down the drain.
I been here since 2007. The staff was great my husband and I knew them by first name. Ricardo was always willing to help. Serena was very sweet. Ashley always greets everyone. Now they have new staff who sometimes don't greet. Don't wan to help. Keep you on hold or hang up. And the new guy keeps trying to talk to me in Spanish but his Spanish sucks! They are keying all these bad ppl live there. Tlbew tenants are ------, they work on there cars outside, kids always in the street cursing. WTF century? What happened to this nice quiet place I knew?I talk to several other tenants and they agree. Oh and ppl that don't lice here are always at th pool. Gate never works!

We love it
We moved here to Georgia in Jan of this year, and I must admit we did everything online even without us coming down to actually look at the place, (God was with us) once we arrived here and saw the place we really loved it, as another person stated the office could be a little better but I think that has been solved other than that we really like the apartment it is very spacious and we have great neighbors, the only thing that we have a complaint about is parking but hey it is not that often that we hang out so it's cool.

Horrible Place - Do not even look here!
What a ------! It is dirty and management is horrible! Try to get anything done at this place, it will take a year or more. Management just switched and they are worse than the old! The people who live here are loud and the gate is ALWAYS broken! They even had to install a camera because the gate has been broken so many times. Don't waste your time with this horrible place!

Dont let the new name fool you!!
Century Park (formerly Preston Park) is NOT a place I would recommend to anyone who takes pride in where they live. We moved here in July 2005 and for the first year, it was nice. Unfortunately, the changes to the staff noted a serious downfall in the quality of living we grew to expect. For starters, they advertise a "gated community", but honestly, the gate has not worked for more than a week consistently without someone breaking it. We supposedly have the services of Tri-Star security, but that is a joke. There is also a "courtesy officer" that we have had to leave 2 urgent messages for during our stay here and never got a return call either time. Burglery and vandelism have steadily increased over the short time we have lived here. Believe the other reviews that also state the hefty penalties you will get slapped with in the event you try to break your lease or don't renew. I am not sure of the screening process (or if there even is one!) for new tenants. We have had neighbors that we saw move in and then 3 months later, we never saw the adults, but various "characters" going in and out of the apartment all times of day and night. We never saw the two older gentlemen that initially moved in, so we figured this was just a cover up for the amount of people who really came to live in that apartment. Century Park doesn't seem to have a problem with this, so if you have no problem living next to a family of 50 all packed into a two bedroom apartment, then this is the place for you! If you dont mind a property manager and staff who's expertise is giving you excuses, then THIS is the place for you!

wonderful place
I have been here for over 2 yrs now. I have never had any problems with the apartments or staff. Marlene was very good and has always help me during regular hours and late at night when she was off. Ashley was so helpful, I have a big package and she help me with it to my car one time. Mike the apt manger very helpful and always found time to talk to me. Most do not have time to talk or help out. I see alot of post on here about how bad place is, But they all have lived in Preston Park over 2 years or more. If was so bad why they stay? They could have not renewed there lease. Hmmmm makes you think

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS!!!
I'm a former resident and lived there for 1.5 years. I had the same experience as Anonymous who warned to be sure to schedule a walk-through. We too didn't document how we left the apartment when we moved out - what a mistake!!! When we moved, we left the apartment in immaculate condition, so we mistakenly trusted that the management staff would be honest when they inspected the apartment. WRONG!!!! They did the SAME thing to us that "anonymous" mentioned!!! They sent us a bill THREE MONTHS after we moved out for nearly $400 for cigarette burns in the carpet and for a special treatment for cigarette smoke odor. Which was quite ironic, as neither my husband, nor I have EVER been smokers. I've read other reviews here and see that now they're using "pet odor" as an excuse. We protested thinking maybe they confused our inspection with the tenant downstairs who was also moving out, and we asked if we could go to the apartment and see the repairs they supposedly made. They refused. The Management staff was UNSPEAKABLY rude when we left. And after reading the Manager - Holley Belcher's review elsewhere on this site, I see why. If the manager can read all this and is more INSULTED than ALARMED, that should speak volumes!!! She's right that you can't please 100% of the people... but you should DEFINITELY be able to please more than 20%. Do more research!! Don't settle here, you'll be sorry - you can find comparable amenities in-town, or in the Perimeter area for their prices. But if you want to stay in Gwinnett, I'm currently at Ivey Brook in Norcross, right off Holcomb Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners. It's a BEAUTIFUL property with a GREAT, welcoming and responsive management team. I recommend it with 5 stars!!! Check it out, and good luck!

Go to the next complex on your list
Myself, like many other people writing reviews here, loved the community in the beginning. Beautiful landscaping, great amenities, proximity to shopping, and so forth. Over the course of my four years as a resident however, things have gotten increasingly worse. From crimes to pathetic managing, useless maintenance, noise (and plenty of it), broken and disheveled amenities and so forth. At the cost of renting a unit here, I maybe would have been better off getting a mortgage and working toward owning a house. Trust me, you are , too.

Can you say Ghettolicious
My wife and I moved in to Preston Park 2 years ago. For the first 6 months everything was great. Clean community, gym equipment that worked, neighboors you didn't fear might kill you, you know the things you look for in an apartment. About a year ago things started to change, aparently the credit and criminal checks were getting expensinve and they decided not to do them anymore. You can guess what happened, welcome to the East Duluth ------. You can now expect you car to get vandalized at least once a month. It's also common to see 4 police car in front of a building as they arrest someone for theft, drug labs or worst. Nobody respects the property, especially the gang of teenagers that has broken all the equipment in the gym, spray painted cars and breaks the gate less than a week after it's fixed. If your thinking of moving in, don't just run for your life before its to late. Don't even think about breaking the lease unless you would like to pay $4,000 to the friendly leasing staff. Your also not supposed to have dangerous dogs like pitbulls but the staff doesn't care, I have to walk my own dog with a bottle of peper spray in case one of their idiot owners decides to walk their "friendly" dog without a leach.

Best Apartments Ever!
I have lived in these apartments for awhile and not once have I had a problem. The office staff is always very friendly when I see them and maintenance seems to always be on top of things. I have been very pleased with the manager who took over the property a few months back. People always seem to post when something little goes wrong. I figured it would be nice for someone who loves living here to post something nice. I don't know what's wrong with these other people.

Not safe.
First off, I am police officer. Before I moved into the complex, I asked the staff if they had an significant crime problems in the complex. Which they stated they had none. Since I have been here, I have been aware of carjackings and vandilism and break ins inside the complex. To put it plainly, I keep my gun on me at all times, and I suggest no one who values their safety to move here till the managment gets proactive with their security problems. Oh yeah, and they have gang graffiti on the property as well. Been there for 5 months now.

Worst apartment ever lived in
When my roommate and I moved in, this seemed to be a great neighborhood and management seemed to be on top of things. We were sadly mistaken. None of the 20-30 things we put in our final walkthrough were addressed....ever. On top of that we thought we were moving into a "gated" community. The gate has worked for a total of mabe a couple of weeks the entire year I have lived here. AS a result the crime rate has increased, people have been attacked in the parking lots, more than 30 cars have been vandalized and they have sent out bulletins on "Safe Lving Tips" This cannot be considered a "luxury" apartment. None of the ammenitites that they so proudly boast WORK. Half of the workout equiptment is broken or malfuntioning and the hot tub worked once this summer. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give this complex a -1.

NIGHTMARE - CRIME
Within the past 1.5 month we have had to call the cops out on 3 domestic disputes, and once for 30 cars being vandalized. When we moved in, the property was beautiful and the management seemed to be professional and polite. 3 years later and the grounds are disgusting and management is unprofessional and seems to not care about customer service. The stonework of the front of the buildings is falling off, making it dangerous and unsightly. The quality of people has slowly deteriorated in the past 3 years, making it an unpleasant and perilous place to live. The "gated community" that they advertise is none existent, since the gates work sporadically and when they do work take forever to close, so anyone can follow you in. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
