Excellent Residential Project in Louisville, KY
My stay in Louisville wouldn’t not been better if it’s not at Plainview Apartments. The location is strategically located in very close proximity to Indian grocery store, Kroger and many popular restaurants, hospitals and a great JCPS school district with bus facility to Plainview Apartments. Plainview in particular has Tennis court, Gym, outdoor grill, Swimming pool and a luxuries indoor space for residents in their office to come and enjoy coffee and other beverages while playing snooker. The maintenance staff is super friendly and they keep the property very neat and clean. Above all the administration staff - Sam, Abby & Kaylee are very friendly and accessible to address residents maintenance needs. The Plainview team does a lot of fun events and social gatherings regularly for the residents to participate and enjoy the good times. It feels like home. It’s a best place for everyone.

Frustrated
I have lived here 3 months I can not use my patio or have furniture on it . My lease states No Ball Games but yet I have been hit 5 times with a soccer ball, my patio door been hit at 23 times since I am taking medication I can't be hit or hurt from this ball so they also is still using the entrance for their goal which is right next to me it sounds like a sonic boom they run through hallways nothing is being done so I have no choice but to go to step 2because reporting it does not work

The service team is surpreme!
I have lived at Plainview for a couple years and I can't say good enough things about this place. Being able to consistently renew my lease here is such a comfort. I truly feel so at home. The maintenance team is so responsive to any problems I have (a rare occurrence). Micah, the service manager does an outstanding job!

Great communication and love the property!
The leasing staff is phenomenal! Super helpful providing the info needed and what I needed to provide for me to rent. My driver’s license is expired, I didn’t even know! They were really sweet to my 4 and 2 yr old children - they even said we can keep our cat and the pet fee is reasonable. We are all very excited to move in soon! Now we can be close to my brother who has lived there for years and says he’ll never move!! I definitely trust my brother and he knows this is a good and safe location for us!

I was there few days ago to help my cousin feeling out an application. We had the worst impression ever. They do not welcome black people. They told us they won't accept my cousin's section 8 voucher for a silly reason. In other terms they pushed us out because they didn't like who we are.

Moving out experience was horrible
Plainview had been home for the last two years. I had no complaints about my stay there and the staff were very friendly and courteous. The moving out experience was not so pleasant. Definitely unhappy with the move out inspection. There was a small stain on the carpet from my dogs, and I was informed that the entire carpet had to be replaced which resulted in a very expensive bill. If you do have pets, especially dogs, I do not recommend moving into this apartment community cause the apartments are carpeted and any small stain results in the entire carpet being replaced, not just the part that was stained/damaged. The security deposit doesn't really help either because it is negligible compared to the cost of replacing a carpet. Highly recommend that, this information about carpet damage and pet stains is conveyed during move in, so there are no surprises and payments during move out.

Not Veteran friendly
Not veteran friendly! My brother was there and faithfully paid his rent until he became sick some months ago. He was unable to work. He became terminally ill this year. We, his family stepped up and paid his rent on several occasions to make sure that was not a worry. We also tried to get him assistance, we were told by them that they would not take money from agencies trying to help him. Recently when my sister went to pay his rent for June, when they found out he was filing for bankruptcy, they tacked on additional fee to what my sister was paying. In addition, you could see his apartment from the rental office. He was moving out and moving in with his mother to continue his treatments. He was being, in my opinion harassed, by them knowing he was moving out and every other day had a note on his door. My last few memories of my brother was him calling me almost crying because of the "notes" left on his door. Well he never made it my mom's house. He passed away. Thank you Plainview for being so supportive of veterans. Thank you Plainview for making my brother's last moments on this earth peaceful. I am a decorated war veteran and Quilt of Valor recipient I will make sure that all of my veteran buddies and the Veterans Administrations know about your practices toward disable veterans rest assured. Signed Pissed Off Veteran!!

Worst apartment complex
I had the misfortune of living at Plainview Apartments for 14 months. From the beginning, the other people who live in the complex are just straight up rude. Every time my husband and I would leave our apartment there would be someone glaring at us. There isn't free laundry or washer and dryers in unit, you have to pay $4 to wash a single load in a dirty laundry room with small machines- not even commercial machines. Complexes should not be allowed to call themselves "luxury apartments" if they don't even have laundry. The only "amenities" are a pool, a tiny gym, and some tennis courts. Oh and you can have free coffee at the leasing office. At the end of the first year of our lease, the complex decided to raise our rent $100 if we were going to renew for another year and $400 if we wanted to do month to month which is ridiculous seeing as NTS owns half the city and doesn't need to be price gorging. 2 months into our 2nd lease, we discovered that there was mold underneath the paint on our baseboards and there were literal bugs called mold mites eating the mold. The complex had painted over the mold instead of fixing it! There was also severe mold issues in the bathroom behind the shower head which had also been painted over. We were both so sick we could barely breathe and both called in sick from work multiple times. My husband had even been admitted to the emergency room for a severe asthma attack. We called maintenance and they told us they'd send people to check it out in the morning. The next morning, maintenance came to check it out and told us they would call a company to come out in 3 days and that we should buy bug spray(???). We started moving out an hour later because the complex clearly didn't care about our health and was forcing us to live in an uninhabitable apartment for the next 3 days (at least). 3 days later the pest company came and left a business card, however the bugs were still there! We were done moving out by the end of the month and sent an email to the leasing office explaining why we were leaving and that we were breaking our lease. There were bugs in everything we owned and I ended up washing over 15 loads of laundry just to get everything clean. We always paid our rent on time, were quiet, and caused absolutely no problems at all, so you think they'd be nicer to us. Nope! Almost a month later, I got a response from the leasing office. They denied that there were even bugs and the whole situation, and told me we owed them a whopping $3500, and that they were keeping my security deposit. Apparently they charge $2000 to break a lease and 2 months rent which was another $2000. Now, over 6 and a half months later, this complex has destroyed my credit because I had to move out for my own health. Don't move here! Find an apartment that only has a few units and the landlord is a person, not a company.

Perfect package
I'm renting the tiny but perfect little Clark unit. It came ready for me to move in with everything working and clean. It's a beautiful, quiet area with my own little space outside. Sam has been very professional and polite throughout my entire time working with her and always wears a wonderful smile. I look forward to my time here at plainview.

Disappointing management
I've seen plenty of good reviews on the management, and I just can't seem to see why. Me and my roommates have complied and cooperated to the maximum with management but every issue I've brought up with them they seem to sweep under the rug. I complained about a neighbor who was abusing his animals, called about it twice, they never responded. Kids run through every building in the complex, tried communicating this with the management, never got back to me. We were placed in an apartment with a PRE EXISTING roach infestation, our response was "wow, I'm so sorry that happened to you guys". And with the renovations going on I would expect some help from staff to work around these conditions, but alas it seems there are other things to do, like take selfies with a construction hat on (yes, I caught management outside taking selfies instead of doing their job) I'm beyond frustrated and feel as if I have done everything to be cooperative and positive but it's failing me. The only thing that Plainview seems to accomplish is keeping the complex clean, although it's the groundskeepers that are paid by a 3rd party. Every Issue must go through the management and they have repeatedly shown that their help is a dead end street. We have no one to help with the issues of Plainview, but ourselves. Would appreciate seeing a little effort in the job they get paid a salary to do instead of reliving highschool glory days together. Thank you!

When I first moved in it was nice, I loved it. It was my first apartment and obviously new to how it all worked. When I signed up there was a deal on the site that said I’d have 75 or something off my rent if I signed a longer lease with the additional 75 off that I would have to pay 1 time for a shorter lease. It was only for two months until I started paying 890 yet that wasn’t specified. Then they included Water Service $15.48 Sewer / Drainage $21.55 Garbage / Trash Removal $25.00 Utility Administrative Fee $4.00 All this for a 1 bedroom, which the my hot water was broke for a whole 2 weeks before they decided to fix it. I stopped using garbage / trash removal services (which is the people coming around and taking your trash if you leave it outside your door.) they will still charge you for that even if you don’t use it. I have been managing it up until April, I moved in Feb. Close to the end of April I had a mental breakdown and I tried to kill myself. I was hospitalized and because of that I lost my job. My family was trying their best to help me with rent while I was away. When I came back, I had been struggling to keep up with rent and I told this to my leasing agent -----------. At first she was understanding and worked with me. But once the office released how I was barely managing that’s when they switched up on me. I tried to pay off the rest of July which was 300 and some of Aug giving them about 800 which would have helped me catch up if they cashed it and I wouldn’t have been late with rent anymore because I would’ve have caught up by them end of Aug but they wouldn’t accept it because it was a partial payment for August even though it was going towards the rest of July and August since they give you five days to pay at the beginning of rent and it was the 5th day that I placed this money order in the office. They would no longer accept me paying it off partly and paying the rest before the end of the month. They didn’t care about me telling them my finical state and my disability, I informed them of when I get checks and how I can pay weekly to catch up. All they did was give me 30 days to catch up when they kept pushing 100 late fee on top of what I owe and 10% of that. If you are someone with a mental illness , diagnosed with major depression, this leasing office will not give two ----s about you and they won’t work with you to compromise or come up with a solution. This leasing office acts nice and friendly but it’s a lie they just want their commission. The only good thing is all the shopping centers and it is a quiet neighborhood.

I am a new resident of Plainview, moving into the area for work. In researching and visiting different places, there was only one with a supreme focus on making potential residence already feel like family, perfecting those small things that are uunmatched. The staff has zero competition in what they do.

I have moved to Kentucky from New York for work. In June I took a long weekend trip and looked up and printed every apartment complex in the area. This was the first property I stopped at, and let me tell you... we meet Ashleigh! Ashleigh took me on a tour and showed me al the units. Ashleigh made me feel at home sharing her personal favorite restaurants in the area and overall just a genuine person. After touring many properties that day , I decided I wanted to live here due to the amazing service I received from Ashleigh!
