All happy reviews put in by management
You can tell that all these happy reviews are written by management. They all sound like the ads that duped me into renting my appartment here. They show you the model but they don't show you the apartment you get. They dont show you the mud all over the sidewalks on your side of the property. They dont tell you how you need maintenence every month because the buildings are all falling apart but the maint. guys do try real hard. They have to with this place. I became aware of this site as there is quiet a bit of gossip going on among tenants. Most of us just want out soon as possible but to break the lease costs over 2 Months rent. How can I afford that? Everybody feels unsafe here because there have been too many fires. There will be eternal fire for these money-hungry sinners. I have to carry my trash something like an eighth of a mile which is hard to do with a bad hip. This is because Plainview got rid of our dumpsters and now we have to carry our trash all the way to the trash compacter machine. You can bet that this old girl is gone when my lease is up in February. May God help those in this latest fire. The ---------------------------------------- one day and you can bet on that. LUKE CHAPTER 16 22 . . . the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Aside from natural disasters, pleasant experience
Although the prior ingrate's posting indicates dissatisfaction, please disregard. I have had more than a pleasant experience with not only the Plainview apartments' living standards, staff, and neighbors (most of them), but also with the surrounding community (businesses & facilities nearby). If they had any available 1 bedrooms (which was what our entire building consisted of) I would stay with this complex. Unfortunately, their 2 bedroom is a bit more than I'm financially able to be responsible for and that is all they have right now. I'd like to extend a THANK YOU to The Park at Hurstbourne, The Grove, The Willows, Regent Park, and Lafontenay for reaching out to us victims and offering us discounts and accommodations. Any and all properties have been a pleasure speaking with INCLUDING NTS property, PLAINVIEW!!! Sorry, SherrillVentures, your argument is not valid.

FIRES FIRES FIRES
Plainview has been the worst renting experience of my life, especially after they kicked me out for talking to local media and Jeffersontown Fire Department after MY APARTMENT CAUGHT ON FIRE. Apparently, this is just one in a string of fires at Plainview. NTS are slumlords. The laundry room leaked into the hall, but did they fix it? NO. They just turned the water off to the washer. Almost all the residents I talked to have electrical issues, these apartments are unsafe and should be condemned. If in the future I ever see "NTS" on somebody's resume, I will automatically know I am dealing with a scumbag.

poorly maintained apartment/ not kid friendly
We do not have a remodeled apartment and did not get to see the apartment prior to signing the lease. The walls have wallpaper that has been painted over, causing lump, lines and peeling of the wallpaper. The paneling has been painted over with cheap paint that is crackling and falling off. The sinks do not drain. You cannot see out the patio door because of condensation between the windows. There was a rodent in the apartment. Screen door will not close. I am embarrased to have anyone over. There is no place for kids to play(no playground, no basketball, no green areas)The one large area of grass is wet and muddy.

NTS is just as bad as AIMCO
I have been living on this site for years...like 10! A lot of the people who stand up for the new management have not lived here as long as I have and I can GUARANTEE it. I have been through the worst of the worst in re: to management and I have to say that althought AIMCO was horrible with management, they were totally different to the residents when walking into the office. This group of ladies currently sitting in the office are HORRIBLE! I can honestly say that Ashley is the only one who ever treats the residents like they are adults. If anything Ashley should be the facility manager! Those other ladies could learn A LOT from Ashley about customer service. The place is STILL a dump! There has been a lot of ground cleanup but as far as the apartments....NOTHING has changed. Well, let me say as far as the apartments that have not been renovated and the rent raised to $800 /mth...nothing has changed. Anyone can mow the grass and get rid of dumpsters, but the turnaround at this place is ridiculous. My apartment has 10 year old carpet, a dishwasher on its last leg, a refrigerator that freezes up if I fill it up (therefore I have to go to the grocery weekly in opposed to bi-weekly) and they are not going to replace it. The new management could care less about the people who have lived here for years...they just want those people to go so that they can renovate those apartments and make the most in rent that they possibly can. They could care less about the economy and how it has affected residents....their concern is making the most money. As far as the parking, residents have complained about the parking for at least a year and they don't care if you're not able to park near your home. If you come home after 6PM you have to walk from in front of the office to get to your apartment. What if the residents said they are not paying rent until they get a parking space! Its not fair that some units have assigned parking, while the residents that really need it are left out in the cold. God forbid something happens to a young lady having to walk to her apartment, because she has to park so far away, and she gets robbed or even worse. How would they feel then? This place just does not care! For all the people who are on here standing up for NTS you HAVE to have some kind of interest in the company, otherwise you would not be so critical of the residents who are acually having issues with the company. People should be free to post their comments without others tearing them down for how they have been treated. The apartments at Plainview are not even worth $650/mth!!! But yet NTS wants to charge as if the apartments are compatible with luxury!

Just recently moved in, everything went much better than expected. My apartment is like brand-new, I have all new appliances, cabinets, bathrooms, and flooring. Based on my experience, I would reccomend Plainview to anyone looking for an apartment.

nice place to live great location
I have lived here for the last 2 years and now i love it. The previous owners were horrible. NTS has made huge improvements to the property and seem like they are continuing to do so. The office staff are always friendly and willing to help. The maintenance staff are very good at what they do and have been very prompt when I've had an issue. The grounds are very well maintained and clean. The only problem i have is the loss of the dumpsters, but now the property looks cleaner and smells much better.I would recommend Plainview to anyone.

Review of Plainview Apartment s Living
I have lived in a Plainview Apartments townhome for 6 months and am very pleased to be here. The property is well maintained with attractive, well manicured landscaping, and the grounds are kept free of trash. The pool is pristine, beautiful and always clean with good quality outdoor furniture available for poolside lounging. The complex is quiet day and night and on the weekends. Whenever I request a repair or report a problem the office staff are very friendly, courteous and respond to my needs quickly, usually within 24 hours. They know me by name and are respectful, friendly and truely concerned that my home is safe and well maintained. There are many animals living in this complex as they allow cats and dogs with no size limitation. The residents do an excellent job of keeping their pets restrained and quiet along with cleaning up after them. I feel appreciated and respected by all the NTS employees at Plainview. I would highly recommend this as a great place to live.

beautiful new apt, helpful staff
My husband and I moved into a brand new 2 bedroom apartment about a month ago and we couldn't be happier! I LOVE the black granite counter tops! I also love that it stays really quiet in our building! We are expecting our first child in October and I feel very blessed to have such a beautiful place to call home. I would recommend Plainview to any of my friends! :)

Great location!
Good Lord! I was just reading all of the reviews, there are some crazy people out there. My experience with Plainview and NTS has been short, but above average for sure. All of the complaints about dumpsters, who cares....as long as my trash fits I am happy. I am more concerned with other things like amenities, location, value etc. The location can't be beat, the pool is really nice, and I feel like it is a good value for the money, especially to live so close to work and shopping areas.

plainview is the worst place to live in louisville especially since NTS took over
the girls that run the office are rude an stuck up an dont know the meaning of customer service . the owners are just covering up run down apartments that need to be fixed by slapping on a bunch of paint . the maintnance men are under skilled the owners only care about making the apartment appear to be nice and dont care about the people that live here . i hate living here an cant wait for my lease to be up . do yourself a favor stay away from any apartment or NTS property an dont even think of going to plainview if you dont belive me drive by an try an find a dumpster yea i have to walk a quarter of a mile jus to take out the trash there is only one trash compactor for the whole apartment complex . they try an make this place appear to be a nice place to live but its horrable . oh an by the way last month someone broke the window out of my car an stole my GPS .right in the parking lot.

Not as bad as everyone says
I lived in Plainview Apts for a year with my Fiance and daughter. We lived in Phase2. We never once had a problem with the office staff once NTS took over. When Aamco was in charge, that is when there were problems. Like others have already said, when NTS took over everything was cleaned up and made more curb appealing. Plainview is a very large complex, and is very old. It is going to take longer than a year to clean up the mess that Aamco left. I cant speak for Phase 1 as I know nothing about that side, but we never had issues or problems and always had anything we needed. The only thing I can complain about is trash. We lived by the dumpsters and they would somethimes pick up garbage at 4 am, it was very loud. They could use more dumpsters as well. I had even signed my part of the lease and was waiting on my fiance to sign and the day I signed we were given the opportunity to move down to Florida so we took it. NTS was nice enough to not hold me to my lease and we moved, otherwise we would still be there. Don't look at all of the negative comments on here and let them steer you away. Go see for yourself and make your own opinions, I am glad I did. Good luck! :)

Major Dump, RUDE office staff
I've read these recent reviews... convenient that all the positive ones showed up in 1 day! This is the worst apartment living I have ever experienced! Not only is the property a trash pit with plenty of redneck residents, but the office staff thinks they're all better than everyone. Probably the ditziest bunch ever. Don't waste your time or money. These apartments are terrible.

Well Satisfied
I have lived here 5 years and since NTS took over I would stay another 5 easly. With renovated apartments and a renovated clubhouse we have it all. Pool renovated last year. What more does one want? Office staff are excellant and the repair men know what they are doing and repairs are made promptly. Come and see the new Plainview Apts and enjoy a new way of life. This company is continueing putting money in this complex for when they purchased it it was going down but now going up fast. It is a work in progress and every week something is being done to make it a better place to live.

best deal for the location
I have lived at Plainview for almost two years. Although the apartments are older and I have had a few issues, overall I think they're the best deal around. I was a resident for a short time when Amco still owned it, and i have to say the new managment(NTS) have really done a good job cleaning the place up. The office staff is really friendly and the maintnance men have pretty much fixed any issues I had within a reasonable time frame. I would like to see another garbage compactor and a car washing area in the future, but overall I would recommend Plainview Apartments.

horrible service
i recently moved to kentucky in feb to plainview due to military status. they were nice in the beginning. i paid $200 for both of my dogs as security as well as a security deposit. they are trying to say that my dog cost them over 400 worth of damage. they like to rip people off especially since the people that they have doing maintance there are paid hourly and not by job. DO NOT GO TO THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF IN THE LONG RUN. THEY LIKE TO BS PEOPLE INTO GETTING THEIR WAY!!!!

Plainview Horror Story
Do not move here! It is horrible! We paid 520 per month for a studio and we just moved out to a 2 bed 2 bath condo and we own it for 473 per month. We Just moved out and they Charge outrageous prices for things! They want to charge us 35 dollars to vacuum a tiny studio apartment that i could get done in 30 sec. and 80 bucks for painting the entry way.(half of a wall) we would constantly wake up to no water and every other week there was banging drilling and construction. This place is the worst place to live on the planet. Stay far away from plainview

Nice Place to Live
I have lived at Plainview Apartments since April of last year, just a few months before the current management NTS took over. There have been some minor and major changes, some definitely aggravating at first, but like anything, I got used to them. One major change is the transformation of the property itself, it looks so nice now. I sometimes forget the difference until family comes to visit, and they remind me of how the place used to look. I wish the pool had been open last summer, I recently spoke with someone in the office, and they assured me it will be open this year. Apparently the new owners inherited many problems concerning the pool that took most of last summer to fix. I noticed most reviews complaining about the compactor, I agree, it is a pain to take trash across property however, I used to walk by one of the dumpsters on-site daily, and the compactor definitely looks and smells better. I would recommend Plainview Apartments to anyone looking. Yes, there are a few problems now and then, but they are resolved as quickly as possible.

Long Time Resident
As a resident of over 15 years, I must say that this is the best the property has looked in a long time! Both the interior and the exterior of the property have improved dramatically over the past year. The grounds have stayed very well-kept and the landscaping looks great! I have also seen quite a change in the way that residents are treated by the staff. Last week, I called the office to report a maintenance issue and it was taken care of that same day. The gentleman that came over to my apartment was very friendly and explained exactly what was going on. I truly appreciate the service that I have received by both the maintenance and the office staff and I can now say that I am very proud to live at Plainview.

ARE YOU SERIOUS???
Sooooo I have read these horrible reviews about plainview apartments and was gonna go check them out anyway.. Thinking hey maybe some of these are not true....lol what a joke. My boyfriend and I visited the Willows of Plainview which was AMAZING AND VERY PROFESSIONAL and we noticed that plainview was one of their "sister properties". If i was the owner of this company I would def not advertise that these to properties are even related!!!!!! We are looking for a 2bed 2bath apartment or even A townhome. As we walked into the plainview office 1. no one even said hello 2. I had to say Hiiiii, then the office staff finally looked up and said hi... 3. The blonde girl sitting in the desk to the right just sat there like uuuuhhhh. 4. while still SITTING asked what she can do for us. I told her we are looking for a 2 bed townhome.....still sitting she said ok just a second.... wow 5. she finally walked over to us ( did NOT offer us a seat ) as she is still standing and so are we, she points out the floor plan.. still standing we asked if we could take a look... 6. she says hmmmmm i think we have have one you can take a look at... as she walks away ( we are STILL STANDING NO SEAT OFFERED).... she has the nurve to start texting on her cell phone as she is " looking for a key" are you KIDDING ME!!! then while we are stilllllll STANDING NOOOO SEAT OFFERED, she goes back to her desk and sits down to use the office phone (with out telling us what she is doing...) we are still standing up. so my boyfriend and I just look at each other like is this a JOKE, and leave without even looking at a townhome. If i ran this site that girl would def be fired. So I realized that I should start believing these reviews and move on to the next apartment and take the peoples word and STAY AWAY FROM PLAINVIEW APARTMENTS. OFFICE STAFF WAS A TOTAL JOKE AND SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I will be talking to the corporate office about this FOR SURE!!!!

Management Only Cares About Appearances
We've lived in this complex for over three years. Never once been late on rent, and have never had any complaints levied against us. We have been very happy with our apartments and lifestyle here, until recently, that is. Since NTS took over, we've been miserable. They have spent all their time and money on cosmetic fixes, while serious maintanence issues go ignored. For the first three months in our new apartment (we moved to a larger space, at a considerable increase in rent) we had a very long list of serious maintence issues, including water leaks and security issues. We had to call them daily for weeks before they even came to look at these issues once, and even then, it took months for them to fix it all. Since then, we've had problem after problem with their maintence response time. As I write this, I currently have no hot water, and haven't for over a week. I was finally able to reach the head of maintence himself, and found out it will be late in the week before it's fixed, because someone else dropped the ball... again. I don't blame the maintence personnel, however. When they finally get here, they are quick and efficient, and always seem shocked that it's been so long since the original complaint. The problem seems to lie directly with the office staff, who consistently fail to pass along messages in a timely manner. I'm extremly disappointed with the staff here now, and how poorly they are treating their long-term residents. We definitly will NOT be resigning here again.

I AM A RESIDENT OF PLAINVEIW APARTMENTS AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS ON THE TAKE OVER BY N.T.S. WOW! WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! I AM SO VERY PLEASED THAT THIS COMPANY HAS BLESSED US WITH THEIR PRESENCE! I LOVE THE MANY CHANGES THEY HAVE MADE. I LOVE THE PROFESSIONAL APPROACH THEY BROUGHT WITH THEM. I COULD NOT PRAISE THE "MAINTANCE STAFF" ENOUGH!!! THE STAFF ARE GOOD LISTENERS, CARING AND QUALIFIED TO DO THEIR JOBS. THEY ARE CONSIDERATE AND THOUGHTFUL IN SETTING TIMES TO ENTER OUR HOME. THE NEW LIGHTING POSTS, HAVE ADDED A NICE HOMEY TOUCH TO COMPLEX. IT IS MUCH SAFER, NOW WITH ALL OF THE NEW ENTRANCE AND PATIO LIGHTS THAT HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. THE GROUNDS ARE KEPT TRASH AND CLUTTER FREE! LAWNS ARE WELL KEPT AND WALKWAYS ARE KEPT CLEARED AND ARE ALWAYS KEPT IN A SAFE MANNER. THE NEW LAUNDRY ROOM IS AWESOME! NEWLY REMODELED, WITH ALL NEW WASHERS AND DRYERS, THAT ARE KEY CARD- OPERATED, NO COINS NEEDED! I FEEL SAFER, NOW THAT THE ROOM IS KEPT LOCKED! I LOVE COMING HOME, HERE AND RECOMMEND, PLAINVIEW TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR AN AWESOME PLACE TO LIVE!

Poor maintenance response and no dumpsters
Tired of waiting for repairs since NTS took over and you have to walk three blocks to get to the only dumpster in the complex or carry trash in your car. The dumpster is actually a trash compactor that poses serious danger to children. We have waited over two months for repairs. It's ridiculous. They can put up new signs, paint, remodel their office area but they can't seem to maintain the apartments or conveniences that the residents want. they even took out the basketball hoop.
