Have enjoyed living at Blair House. Been here since 2018 (moved to a different apartment this year). Staff is friendly. Maintenance staff handles issues promptly. Never had a problem in the building since I've been here.

My experience at this community has so far been great, and I hope it stays this way. So far, I can say for once again in my life, I feel safe coming out of my apartment, walking to my car as compares to my previous experience. In regards to amenities, everything is within reach. There are stores within eyesights, bus stops close by, which makes the community a great place to dwell in. Once again, the neatness of the community makes it rich in health because with cleanliness, comes good health. Overall, it is a very great community.

We have just moved in as of September/October 2020. The initial move-in was quite stressful. We booked our elevator for Sunday 8am. Was not told that the leasing office did not open until 12pm on Sundays, which seems like reasonable information to be told when you are doing your first move-in. Luckily I called in advance on Saturday to confirm that we were set and then was told this information. Had to rush getting the cashier's check and finalize the in-person part of the lease signing the same day Saturday, which probably took 6 months off of my life to get it done in time. On the day of, there was some miscommunication about where we can find our keys, though this was mostly an issue on the side of the leasing office, where we had to work with one different agent as our usual and quite reliable agent (Jason) was unavailable until Tuesday. We were told they would be left with the concierge in Blair Plaza when they were actually left in Blair East. Ended up losing about 30-40 minutes of our elevator reservation time to wait for this issue to get sorted. Luckily we were pretty efficient when packing! Since move-in, there have been multiple things broken--dish washer, oven button/knob, coat closet door, and kitchen light. Our exterior windows were also quite dirty. I have to say they seem to be pretty good on responding to your maintenance issues and leasing agent Jason even called me to follow-up on some issues. We got the dish washer fixed the same day and it took about 2 days to get the windows sorted. The other issues remain and we're pretty optimistic that they will get fixed soon. All the above being said, we love the apartment and appreciate having all the utilities except electricity included and we were able to get a pretty good promotion. As far as the building, the residents are all pretty quiet and respectful. You do hear some car noise. Gym is decent. FYI--no pool/rooftop access in case that is something important to you. Dog park/playground/grocery store/metro are all super close. Would recommend overall. Definitely beats living in DC!

So far I've enjoyed living here. The apartment is nice, each floor has laundry, there's a concierge service, and it's pet friendly. There's also various community events (virtual). The front desk concierge is also very friendly and helpful. I appreciate the amenities as well while following social distancing rules.

The Blairs is the best apartment community I have lived at in the DMV area. The staff are courteous, prompt and professional. The community is conveniently located near transit, groceries, shopping and dining. The units in my building are a bit old but are well maintained and the maintenance staff always responds quickly and effectively to any problems. Overall I would highly recommend.

The Blairs community is a great place to live. I love the proximity to the grocery store, the amenities, and the pet-friendly community. Plus, the walk-in closets are an added bonus!

It's been great in this first month I've lived here. Everyone who works here has been super friendly and super responsive, helping me settle in and getting my dog settled in. My service request on my mailbox was handled pretty quickly and when I mentioned a problem with the air conditioning, the building manager, Patrick, checked it out on the spot and helped me find the solution without having to resort to an HVAC person coming by which was a relief.

There are a lot of available amenities here which is awesome. The social calendars that are posted are so informational and diverse, I can't wait to hop on the Zoom chats for a workout. The staff here are all incredibly friendly and kind, they're super helpful. This place is pricey, but it's absolutely worth every penny.

Good value for money in this area. Business office seems more concerned about community amenities than with individual resident issues or satisfaction. Business office has abysmal communication skills and is difficult to contact.

I now live in a two bedroom, two bath utilities included, where they don't charge $2+ to use the washer, and the dryer, each, for the same price per month, and still in silver spring. The kitchen essentially fell apart in my less than a year stay which I was then charged for in addition to my security deposit, the blinds on the window fell apart within my first week, another 175$ in addition to my security deposit. Management was..lax? Repairs took quite some time to be addressed, but there were constant emails about smoking indoors that must have been an issue on another floor because i never noticed. 100$ for a parking space, just extra charges at every possibility. Just glad to be out

It has only been a week since I have moved into my studio apartment, and so far I am very satisfied. The apartment was very clean when I moved in, and the community seems to be clean as well. The location is great as it is right by the Red Line and I very close to Downtown Silver Spring. One of the most underrated perks is living right next to a CVS and a Giants grocery store.

Personal security is a serious concern on mine at the Blairs. Last October, a staff member was captured on my surveillance illegally entering my apartment and going through my personal things. Only last week, my vehicle, parked in Blairs parking garage, was broken into and all my tires were taken. One would think that Blairs Management would be cooperating with the investigator on my case but they have instead insisted to the detective to get a subpoena to access the video footage from the garage. So there is no interest in facilitating tenants security. I hope that this review will cause some form of systematic change in their policy.

So far the leasing agent was fairly disorganized and our lease had to be updated several times and we are still being charged wrongfully for things on our portal. The parking garage is extremely confusing and no one provided information on how to navigate. An elevator reservation was requested but no staff member actually provided it to us. And AC wasn't working in the master bedroom upon arrival so I can't even live there when I moved in.

This community continues to provide a safe, home connected, & updated services as it also is part of Silver Spring's new outlook in Montgomery county . It's a security concern for the Blairs being open to commercial businesses on its property and open garage areas. That need to be addressed ASAP based on the exposure of activity during really late at night which Montgomery county police have been involved and those times are documented Hopefully that info is used as tool to make the necessary changes.
