I moved to the Blairs in January 2014. Recently moved into a bigger apartment in the same building, Blair East. The location it terrific. Metro. Downtown Silver Spring, Takoma Park, DC and a quick drive to Virginia. Diverse and lively community feels urban and suburban at the same time.

Overall, I am not having a pleasant experience with moving in my apartment. 1. The day I received keys the unit was not available due because the flooring had to be replaced. There were multiple cosmetic issues in the unit and notified the leasing office before we signed the lease agreement. I was hoping that those items would have been addressed. 2. The apartment was not thoroughly cleaned. It appeared that the unit was not repainted. There are multiple areas of cracked and chipped paint. 3. The oven was not working. It was determined that it was not plugged in. 4. The AC in the living room was not working. 5. One of the set of keys that we were given did not work to the unit. 6. There was no parking available. I used to live in Blair House years ago and had a better experience.

I have enjoyed living in Blair East. I particularly love the upper floor living on the 14th Floor. The building is clean, staff is friendly and responsive to any concerns. There is great access to Washington, DC and the rest of the region.

The apartment community looks really nice. The leasing office attendees are nice and helpful. They prepared the apartment above what we expected so that was nice of them. I would recommend The Blair house to someone seeking a place to live.

Blair House used to be a great place to live. Most residents followed the rules, did not cause problems for other tenants, and if they did, those problems would be quickly resolved by the management. About five or six years ago, all that began to change. Now, repairs to building facilities may be neglected, or will last only temporarily . Security has been greatly reduced. Newer residents appear not to care about other tenants' rights or quality of life. Most importantly, management appears to go out of its way to neglect and/or discredit residents' complaints, particularly about other tenants' behavior. The result, as more than one tenant has commented, is that a building which used to be a safe, attractive, comfortable building which was worth the high rents that its residents are charged, has, for the past several years, "been been going to seed."

We just moved here but so far we have liked being so close to restaurants and the grocery store. We work downtown so it's also nice being close to the metro and order forms of public transportation. We look forward to using more amenities.

To all who are shopping for a new home. Blair Plaza Apartments are a great choice the staff members are friendly, reliable, and considerate. The maintenance staff are prompt and have always fixed my issues immediately even on weekends. The Consierge staff is great and they are so helpful. They have lots of activities for you to participate in. They care about their residents and it shows.

My husband and I enjoy living here. It's a great location, very centrally located in the DMV and clorase to the metro. We also enjoy the classes and activities offered here, as well as the amenities and the friendliness and promptness of the maintenance and concierge staff. Management should really take care of them because they Ada rig backbone of this community!

I am paying a great price for my unit. The convenience of having most utilities included (except electricity and cable) is great. It's a great location. There are also great events for tenants. The worst issues I deal with here are the limited accessible parking, concerns not being taken seriously about people parking in access aisles and accessible spots who should not be, anti-maskers in common areas with little enforcement, and occasional issues with maintenance requests being quickly handled but not actually fixed.

Excellent location in downtown Silvet Spring next to subway station/bus depot, and Giant, and 24-hr. CVS pharmacy. Parking available for extra fee. 24-hr. Concierge desk, and self-managed locker station for packages. Convient on-line payment, including credit cards. Although older high-rise building, cleaned daily and responsive maintenance staff.

What I like: Nice friendly community. Good management. What I don't like: Flimsy apartment doors that let you hear everything which is going on in the hallway. Washers and dryers of very poor quality and breaking down on a regular basis.

So far I've enjoyed living at the Blairs. The leasing staff were extremely nice, Mileyda helped me figure out which apartment was best and answered all of my many questions. There was also some confusion in the move out date of the previous tenant of my home and Mileyda and Jason were extremely helpful in helping me figure out how to get moved in on time regardless.

It is a well located Apartment building closer to rail metro, a Giant Supermarket, CVS and a restaurant. It is quite, well-run apartment and they respond to maintenance requests generally timely. I will certainly recommend Blairs Apartment East to any prospective resident.

I do like the apartment size, however it has many problems, like to many calls for maintenance service, many bugs and ants around the rooms. I wish not have to call maintenance that often. Meantime the technicians are very nice all the time.

The bills are very cheap, there is a lot of eco-awareness here. The staff is polite and helpful, smart and quick. The maintenance is very good and quick. This is a very nice building to live in! The only problem I had was that my bicycle got stolen in the first day. I keep it inside the apartment now.

The apartments are clean and the concierge is very helpful and cheerful. I enjoy the city views from our balcony. The walls are quite thick, so we haven't had any issues with noise from neighbors. The other residents are generally courteous. We have had issues only with quality of maintenance once. I do wish that the hallways had a little more flare to them, like the Blair Plaza.

I haven't had any negative experiences. Most of my time here was spent in a pandemic, so I didn't take advantage of many of the community activities. They are offered, which is nice. Location is great and prices are competitive. Most utilities being included is a major plus.

Other than issues with the slowness/availability of the elevators, it's been great living here. The laundry card machine could use an update as well. My card has been declined on a few occasions as well taken too long to add money to the card.
