The building is old, so the windows are huge but also drafty. My apartment flooded once and I had to move apartments. But I like it here. Maintenance is helpful. Management has been helpful whenever I've had an issue, but other tenants whom I've spoken with have had some difficulties with them. Apartments are spacious.

It has been good only since I moved right before the pandemic we haven't been able to take advantage of all the amenities. Additionally, some of common areas are still closed off to the residents. Given the newest variant, I understand the extra precaution taken however it should be at the risk of the resident.

I have enjoyed living here. The staff at the Blair House are fantastic. Very nice and clean apartments. The apartments have a lot of room and options depending on what you are looking for. Good size gym and nice parks nearby.

I've lived at the Blairs for almost a year, and just re-signed my lease. My building is quiet and neighbors are respectful. The few minor maintenance issues I've had have been resolved within 24 hours. The community areas are clean and staff are always friendly.

The apartment is nice, there are some nice conceirge on-site and some friendly neighbors as well, maintenance is okay with request. Some neighbors can be noisey with loud music or kids running and screaming, but that sometimes. I had one bad encounter with one neighbor over the washer, but other than that everything is okay.

I have really enjoyed living at the Blairs. It is a great community and I love the location to downtown Silver Spring, Giant, and the metro. Our apartment unit is spacious and has a great view. I feel like the Blairs is a good value, especially for young residents of the area.

Overall, it has been a mediocre experience in the 3 months that I have lived here. I didn't have parking for the first 2 weeks of my lease, despite being told while touring the apartment that parking is plentiful and I will definitely have a parking spot when I move in. It was incredibly difficult to move my things from my car to my apartment when I did not have a place to put my car. My first night living here, a roach joined me in the shower. There were dead bugs in my kitchen cabinets, and live bugs continue to enter my apartment through my bathroom even now, despite multiple visits from the exterminator. It was evident that the apartment turnover in my unit was done sloppily based on the black streaks on every wall, brown stains in the carpet, and the previous tenant's hair being mixed in with the paint used to paint my bathroom. I spent 10 minutes of everyday for 2 weeks picking pubes off of my bathroom wall, and there are some that I still cannot remove. I have bought visitor parking on 3 separate occasions, and my spot has been stolen on 2 of those occasions, but there seems to be nothing that management can do about this. The gym is falling apart and there are no plans on fixing or replacing machines. Every weekend when I do laundry, I find at least 2 machines that are out of order. My latest gripe is the fact that management is moving their office to the unit next to mine, which I did not discover until a contractor started drilling new furniture in that office from 11 pm- 2 am on a Thursday night. My unit feels old. The bathtub is oddly shaped with a drain that I have never seen before, which has a habit of blocking water from draining. The lock on my door is also virtually an antique, and not particularly safe, according to my father who is a locksmith. Temperature control in my unit is proving difficult in the cold weather. Air conditioning in the summer is fine, but the heat in my unit regularly hits 80 degrees despite me setting it to 73. There are good parts about this apartment too. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Lawrence at concierge is especially knowledgeable, and he makes an effort to get to know residents. I feel safe having someone manning the front desk at all times. I appreciate the crew of people who regularly take care of things like vacuuming, leaf blowing, and garbage. They keep the building clean. Maintenance comes in a couple days after my maintenance requests, and they do a good job most of the time. It is nice to have a gym, club room, computer room, and outdoor grill area, though these amenities are not taken advantage of very often by many residents. I like that this building makes an effort to be eco-friendly through its use of solar power and attempts at separating the different kinds of trash. The location of this building is very good. I enjoy being able to walk to Giant or the Silver Spring Metro in about 5 minutes. It is a quiet community, especially considering how centrally located it is. Within the building, it is also pretty quiet, and my unit is right by one of the entrances to the building. I like that I have a big window with lots of natural light, and I believe every unit has at least one. I have a reserved parking spot now in the covered garage, and it is very convenient. Overall, I think I am paying too much money for so many problems, but I also know this could be much worse. The benefits do not outweigh the costs, and I do not feel much attachment to this place.

So far I've had a great experience here. Signing the lease and moving in went very smoothly. My unit was very clean upon arrival and there were very few issues that needed to be addressed. I haven't heard much noise from my neighbors either.

Great apartment that is within a very short walk from the Metro, restaurants, and grocery stores. Huge apartments for a really reasonable price (biggest square footage for the price in the area). Most amenities are included in the rent and electricity is really cheap ($5-$10) as they contract with 3rd party provider of reusable energy.

This is the worst experience that im having. The place is expensive and they cant even complete a work request on time. My bathtub was clogged for a week and every time I called I was told that it's not an emergency.

This community is great! All staff are courteous and professional. If an issue is presented, they work diligently to fix it. Customer service is definitely a priority. They want all residents to be happy with the living conditions of the community.

The apartments are very nice, but the square footage is deceiving. There are so many walls and doors and closets that a large amount of space is lost. Also, people smoke all over the place even though it's supposed to be a non smoking complex. It's also hard to not have the ability just get packages delivered to my building. I have been living here for almost 4 months and I'm still not listed in the directory at one of the doors to the building.

It's great, the staff and tenants are all friendly and understanding of one another. I love the amenities that ate provided and all of the accommodations for pets such as grooming, outdoor activity and more. My stay at the blairs is wonderful.
