I have had a list of problems since moving in to this building. My apartment wasn't renovated like I was told it would be prior to signing my lease. There was mold growing in all of the window frames. The humidity in my apartment is out of control. When it rains, the windows leak despite being shut and locked. My bathroom window was spray painted shut prior to moving in. I could only use hot OR cold water when taking a shower when I moved in. It took 3 separate visits from maintenance to fix that problem. Every time there is a bad storm the air conditioning stops working and the elevators are out of service. Since moving in a year ago, the fire alarm in the building has gone off at least 12 times; never for an actual fire. It's always been people pulling it for fun. There are several aggressive dogs in the building who's owners struggle to keep control of and it's just a matter of time until the attack and hurt another animal or human.

I love living in Blair House! The apartment building is pet friendly. There are community activities and festivals year round. Having 24 hour reception is convenient for collecting packages and deliveries as well as making the building secure.

It USED to fun living here at the Blairs. There were so many community events. The grounds were kept so nicely. Visitor parking used to allow for free passes. Now, the quality of living has declined and they charge us for visitor parking passes.

The apartment is in a good neighborhood. 10 minutes walking distance from downtown Silver Spring, really close to the train and bus station. The renovated units are really awesome. The community upkeep is good. There are limited guest parking spots. The maintenance crew is extremely slow to respond.

As a new resident, my experience has been beyond expectation. I am wowed by management's responsiveness, a great and diverse community of neighbors, beautiful grounds and interior spaces, and every single one of my needs being met. Highly recommend!

Blair East provides great apartment sizes based on its location! The staff is friendly, and issues are resolved promptly. I experienced no maintenance issues that were not resolved . This is a great location if you are new to the area and want to live downtown.

You get what you pay for Apartments are huge with ample closet space. Common areas are cleaned daily. Staff is courteous and helpful. Community events are held often. Recycling Program is active.

We've been very happy living here! The location is very convenient (close to the metro, grocery stores, downtown Silver Spring) and the maintenance staff is incredibly responsive and nice. Management is a mixed bag, but we haven't really had too many issues that we need to bring to them.

Pretty decent, nothing is perfect. There were some issues with the AC units also a huge infestation of roaches. They were popping up everywhere, eating places, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. I like the outdoor patio I've used to paint some pieces already, I also love how active the Blair's is with community invents trying to be inclusive with its residents

The community has been nice for the most part. The concierges during the week are so nice and I enjoy seeing them. I love the different events that Blair House holds for people to come to. I did have to resign an updated lease and that was a pretty difficult and frustrating process, and there have been quite a few issues with our A/C. The heat stayed on for longer than I personally would have liked, but other than that, I'm happy with where we live. It's a very convenient location and the space itself has been nice.

Very well-kept, clean community. Conveniently located to Metro buses, subway and trains. I don't have any more to add. Amenities are on point as well as staff. Good responses to maintenance requests.

The Blairs is in a great location, friendly staff, timely maintenance, and quality building (can't hear upstairs neighbors). The only negatives I can say are I wish my laundry was in unit and I wish I didn't have to pay for parking my car.

This is a decent complex in a great spot. It is not bad by any means, but I do expect a bit more polish for what the price is. Unfortunately, the bare minimum of upkeep and service qualifies as decent in a rental market where price-gauging is the norm.

I moved here because I lived here in the 1980s. I liked the staff then, and I like the view now. There have numerous improvements in the building. The maintenance staff is very responsive and do good work.

Of course with any large property management company there are stories of the renter getting screwed over and I have heard a story or two in my year and a half living at the Blairs. But overall my experience has been great. Buildings are kept clean. There is a diverse pool of residents. I love that they use renewable energy sources and support composting. Couldn't be closer to a grocery store and the metro. You'll probably find that the front desk may lose track of a task or that it may be a goose chase to try and catch someone from management but I wouldn't say any more than the average property management company. I plan on continuing to live here and recommending any friends to do so as well.

Conveniently located in downtown Silver Spring, the Blairs is a great community. My experience with the Leasing Office staff was exceptional! Everyone's professional, helpful, friendly and willing to assist with answering questions. They all helped to assure that my move-in was smooth and successful.

Excellent grounds and walkable to so many things. Metro, Giant, Whole Foods and many restaurants as well as Montgomery College. This is one of the best dog friendly communities I have ever lived in. Rock creek is a short walk away also.

It was great. I wish we have more events to know each other. Events where we could sit and discuss not take a sandwich or sweet and leave. We need friendship we don't know how many people feel lonely.

Mileyda was supersweet and set up an apartment with us really quickly. The apartment and location completed exceeded our expectations. Apartment was clean, the view is amazing, and the location is super convenient.

Great community. Love how close it is to the metro and to all my needs. Shopping is available just outside your door. It is only a short walk to downtown for all you entertainment needs. Overall great experience

Generally it's a nice community. Building was built in the 60s so not the newest. But they are updating it. Building staff is nice. Close to metro station/bus stops/grocery store so cars are not necessary.

The Blairs is clean, great location. The people here are kind and friendly. The staff is amazing. The leasing agents are actually caring and concerned. Grocery shopping is super convenient being across the parking lot.
