This is an excellent choice for renting an apartment. It is near shopping and walking distance to Metro station and downtown Silver Spring. Compared to other locations in Maryland and Virginia (for commuting to DC downtown), this is ideal.

The leading agent Jason was fantastic. Apartment is clean and facilities are really nice. Also the elevators are really fast so that's a plus! Another huge benefit is that ots above a grocery store and by several other restaurants and a 24 hr cvs!!

The apartment is really nice. I love that they do offer a compost option along with recycling. I wish there was more of a variety of fitness classes available but I do like that they are offered conveniently in our building!

I only moved in 2 days ago, but so far the staff have been lovely - especially Omer in the Leasing office and each concierge at the Blair House. It is quiet on our floor and I haven't heard any noises through the walls. Spaces have been clean and well kept.

I love the space you get for the money spent. The bedrooms are large and we have a sizable living room and balcony that allows for some space from your roommates. It is a great location and allows us access to the Metro, grocery store, restaurants, and a low-traffic option out to the highways. The staff is very friendly and the manager has personally checked in with us a few times to see how we are adjusting. Your apartment experience is very highly dependent on your neighbors. If you have a loud neighbor, you will more than likely hear them through the hall more than through the walls. We are fortunate to live in a quiet unit on a middle floor at the end of the hall, but I have a feeling that the lower floors hear a lot of noise from the grill area and dog park. I highly recommend looking at your actual unit before move in day. My one and only complaint is about the size of the elevators - upon move in day, we realized they do not fit a queen size bed (the bed needed to be completely disassembled) or a 3-seat sofa (it had to be taken up the stairs). There is no service elevator to accommodate larger items.

We have just moved in. Our experience so far has been quite positive. We like the convenience of being close to the Metro and Bus Station as well as being close to a grocery store and pharmacy. We are also pleased to be close to the downtown area.

ALL PEOPLE SEEKING A PLACE TO STAY AVOID The Blairs AT ALL COST PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE EVEN VIEWING THE APARTMENT. Ill first start by saying I love reviews and I alway try to give places the benefit of doubt when I encounter negative reviews. Well when it comes to this place that was my mistake. This experience has been so horrible that I am up at 10:42PM after a dreaded long day to EXPRESS how The Blairs has made my transition into Maryland less than satisfactory. I would have NEVER wrote a review if they resolved the issue but clearly they have not since I am leaving this review for you all today. Besides the incompetent leasing office, I have had issues since day one of moving into my unit. The VERY first night of moving in a roach appeared. I have only lived in my unit for about 3 1/2 weeks. There have been roaches SINCE DAY ONE daily. They have came from the kitchen and bathroom areas. We have kept the place SPOTLESS. We take all trash to the trash chute immediately and spray every morning and night. The problem still persist. We have done more than the leasing office who is OBLIGATED by Montgomery County Housing Code to take care of pest issues. This has been a large inconvenience to my roommate and I. We have to keep the lights on every night fearful a roach will come out if we turn the lights off. It is an inconvenience to spend 15-20mins spraying before we leave in the morning and 15-20mins spraying before bed every night. It is an inconvenience and stressful to be fearful that a roach will appear when I walk into my bathroom. It is inconvenient to be fearful while cooking that a roach will appear on the counter WHICH HAS HAPPENED AND MAKES ME NOT WANT TO COOK IN MY OWN HOME. The business office claims they are sincerely sorry and are working diligently to resolve the issue but the problem still remains and they don't do anything besides say sorry. I don't understand how there is a roach problem in a new apartment when we asked for them to spray for pest prior to move in. When I asked if the apartment was even sprayed the man in the business office said "there is no way of tracking it and he can not give me a definite answer." The building has a roach problem in general. When parking my car in the garage there was a roach in the garage as well. This is a roach infested apartment complex and I am proud to leave this review on the basis of saving someone else from experience such a tragedy and inconvenience. To The Blairs: Don't leave me any response saying your sad to hear that my experience has been less then excellent. Instead please provide a effective solution to this problem. ALSO, when my roommate comes to you expressing the problem we are having it is HIGHLY inappropriate to offer her a bottle of wine as a solution. This is directed to Riley. Please and thank you. I would like some professionalism from the place I pay to live.

Considering the highly unusual and difficult times we are in with COVID19, we have had nothing but positive feedback, overall. Staff is all friendly and responsive. Older building so WELL constructed and QUIET. Much larger apartment and balcony than available reasonably in the newer wooden framed, noninsulated buildings. We have REAL concrete thickness between floors and REAL walls.

It's an accessible complex (i.e., close to metro buses and trains + bike riding options), and I have a spacious apartment, though it needs updating. I like the concierge staff - pleasant and responsive - and the maintenance staff - thorough and trustworthy.

This is my second time renting at The Blairs. I love it here because the location is ideal, the staff and management are courteous and helpful, my apartment is spacious and well laid out. The community amenities are also great.

Not what it once was. Everything has been cheapened and changed for the worse. I really miss the huge community swimming pool that was removed. I also miss the original concierge staff who knew everyone in the building and the permanent maintenance crew who were all so knowledgeable. I also hate the change to my lease that allows pets in the building. I am tired of yipping dogs who bark every time someone walks by and dog hairs in the dryer. I hate the changes to the decor of Blair House that took it from elegance to Motel 6 quality. Nevertheless, the old apartments are roomy with lots of closet space and kitchen drawers and cupboards so you can really cook, and the location is great.

It is a very nice apartment in a great location. The apartment is very close to Silver Spring metro station and to the Giant market. The gym and the community events are really helpful for people moving in.

I think the community is clean and safe. It is downtown so I can easy to reach out to restaurants, theater, and market, etc. Also, transportation is really convenient. But the apartment is a little old so I got an installation problem about the internet. Room condition is clean and great.

It's fine. As evidenced by the fact that we've lived here for almost 5 years. The apartment is a little old, and could use refurbishing, but the location is amazing, the building staff are usually very helpful and responsive, and it is great value for money.

When we had problems with the neighbors and we reported in the lobby the problem wasn't resolved prompted,we experienced robbery in our 3 bikes, obviously the property never offer any kind of help about it, neighbor in the 2nd floor with pets making to much noise, neighbor with car alarm making noise 3 or 4 night in the week, visitors using my parking spot, people using the emergency door at anytime we really just want leave this apartment

Location is a big deal. Close to everything. All the people who work here are nice and helpful. Good mix of pleasant tenants and their pets. Older building, so not everything always works, but generally fixed promptly when it doesn't.

Up and down. Rat infestation day one of moving in. Major flood in apartment from unit above damaged floor and carpet. I would say management has been responsible in treating for mice, but there is a problem. Our carpet was replaced from the flood, however, our floor is uneven.

Overall it's an decent apartment but a few things are annoying. The air conditioner is weak; you're gonna have to buy some extra fans. The kitchen appliances are very old (a stove you have to manually light). The office staff loves saying "we are sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for choosing the Blairs".

Quality of apartment is rather poor. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors. Things break rather frequently, there's always at least one elevator not working, the gym ac hasn't worked in months, etc.

So far, I really enjoy it. The staff and residents are all very friendly. I absolutely love my apartment, it has everything I need and the location is so great! It's so nice that Giant, CVS, etc is so close by and I love being fewer than 5 minutes from the metro.
