Poor Service....Good Price
I would have to agree that I have received less than desirable service from the office staff. They looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they would have my carpets cleaned 12 months into a 18 month lease. They said that it was my responsibility to have the carpets cleaned. Every other apartment complex I have lived at was more than happy to supply one carpet cleaning every 12 months. Other than their lack of customer service, the price is reasonable and the location is great.
I like it
I currently live in the large 2 bdrm and have lived in it for 2.5 yrs and lived in the small 1 bdrm for 1 yr beforehand.
I'll go down the list:

Parking depends on where in the complex you live. If you live off one of the "couldesacs" then you have tons of parking. However the other buildings can be a little tight for parking come evening/weekend time

It is very quiet here and I have never had a problem with any noise.

The grounds seem to have gotten worse the last couple of years. While they are still nice, it seems more and more dog poop and muddy areas are appearing. On a good note, it looks like they are trying to re-landscape some areas right now.

I feel very safe here, although I don't think it has much to do with the complex as it does the fact that its in the middle of cary which is the safest town on the east coast or something.

I like the construction of the buildings and they recently re-did the siding of each building

Maintenance is awesome. I've had a couple small problems they fixed and then just two weeks agoā¦Ā See More>anonymous

GREAT
I donĀ“t know what some of these people are talking about, but this is a great community for the price. It really doesnĀ“t get much better! Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, modern looking units. DEFINITELY would recommend it. Although check out your potential neighbors beforehand because some are extremely rude (i.e. loud), but this isnĀ“t the fault of the staff.

Absolutely would not recommend
I havenĀ“t lived here long, but IĀ“ve had more customer service related problems than you would expect in an entire time living in one place. The apartment itself is great, but the customer service is beyond horrible. The office staff think they are better than their residents. They are extremely patronizing and condescending and do not listen if you have any issues or needs. They also think that things that donĀ“t work are somehow always the residentĀ“s fault, not theirs. I have never been treated as badly by apartment staff as I have been at Waterford Forest. I just hope I can keep one innocent person from making the mistake of leasing an apartment there.

Awesome Place to Live, Great Maintenance Staff
I have lived here for about four years and have enjoyed my stay here immensely. The staff is great, the maintenance guys absolutely always take care of all problems extremely quick. They are friendly, know me and all my friends here by name and always say hello. The ladies in the office are very pleasant and always smile. The grounds and parking areas are well lit, safe and beautiful. The landscaping is always well taken care of and updated regularly. This is just a great place to live.

HORRIBLE!!!!!
While I lived in the apartments, things seemed fine. Once I moved out, all hell broke loose. I had a dog while I lived there, and I paid a pet fee to have her. When I moved out, they tried to charge me 400 dollars for pet damages. When I asked about the pet fee, they said they can spend that money however they wanted, and it didnĀ“t go to pet damage. I am still fighting with them over the money, and they have been rude, completely inconsistent, and have a lack of customer service! I also had a black mold problem at the apartment. I was told it was not their problem to fix it, but instead I had to deal with it. I definitely think that there are plenty of places that are better to live at then Waterford! DonĀ“t move there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great place to live in Cary
My husband and I moved from Waterford a few months ago. We moved due to job location. We have no complaints. Amy Lock helped us from day one, and she was always pleasant. I havenĀ“t really dealt with anyone but her and Julio ( maintenance). They both are great!
The apartment we lived in for 18 months was very nice and clean. And in good condition for being built in 1996... The grounds always look good. Maintenance was always promt and friendly. When we first moved in our neighbor was a bit noisy with his music, though one must expect some noise living in any apartment community. After a few months they moved and it was fine. As far as location, it was fantastic! I loved being so close to everything from shopping to I-40, Raliegh to Durham. Also, only about 15-20 minutes away from RDU airport.
We also took good care of our apartment and left it very clean when we left, and got our full deposit back within 3 weeks.
Oh and one last thing, we did live on the 3rd floor, and had an end unit. I do think it matters on location. Though we had manyā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Be weary of circular ways
I lived there up until a few months ago and I enjoyed dealing with the manager (Amy), however several of the leasing agents tried to weasel their way into getting more and more cash out of me for numerous bogus things. I fully intend on reporting them. However this is not what I intended to write about. I do intend to reveal that there is deceitfulness among many of the leasing agents. And I agree with the other folks about their attitudes (theyĀ“re terrible). The main thing is to pay attention to what they tell you. use a tape recorder if applicable(If you have one) as they tell you one figure in the office and tell you another (higher figure) upon signing. Watch your purse!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful Place to call Home
We loved it there so much. I am sorry that we moved. I can not begin to say how much we enjoyed the apartment, all the storage space, the BEAUTIFUL well-kept grounds, and best of all the professional staff. We also loved the fact that everything was so convenient, esp. the grocery store, dry cleaner, gas station, restaurants, and drug store. We never had any major problem there. What minor maintenance problems we had were fixed well and promptly by individuals who I felt completely safe with. The only reason we moved was to save money. Now I donĀ“t think it was worth it.

TERRIBLE!
At first, the staff seemed very friendly. After the move-in, the staff was never responsive to problems or concerns. The apartments were built in 1996 and it shows. I highly recommend you do not cosider this complex as there are much better places to choose from. The staff is unprofessional and really donĀ“t care about YOU!

Ants!!! NEVER, EVER Ants!!!
I moved in here over a year ago and had the same experience dealing with the sales staff that I WOULD EXPECT FROM A USED CAR SALESMAN. My apartment on the ground floor had a MAJOR problem with ants and Smoke smell and when bought to their attention their answer to me was quote " no one else seems to be having this problem " The apartment I took, I took on the basis that they could get a cigar smell out from the previous person and they failed. When I left they took my security deposit and claimed it was to replace the rug that we detroyed. The marks on the rug were due to the fact that at any given time there would be an colony of 50-100 ants in any given area, if they " management " fail to do anything about it then I had to kill them myself with spray. I actually saw ants crawling out from underneath the rug molding.
The management Knows the number of complaints about ants, smoke smell, mold and niose that I had " at least 15 times I complained " And now they have the guts to take a securityā¦Ā See More>anonymous

They LIE!!!
The office staff all lie. They seem nice and helpful until you have complaints and need help. Beware when you move out. I do not recommned this place because they are fake people who only act like they care about you. The only good thing is the maintenance staff.

the office staff
If you decide to check out these apts. They are in a nice location and the pool is ok. The only thing bad I can say about these apartments is, DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT deal with the black lady who works there. She has terrible customer serivce skills. She will try to blow up anything into an argument. She is horrible. I can count on one hand how many times I went to the office, that includes picking up packages and she was a QUEEN BEE B$TCH. I never complain or had any complaints. I can not stress enough that she is a horrible person. Everyone in the apartments I have talked to hates her. Besides that it is a nice place to live

Check who lives above
If you have a beast living above you, you will not be able to get any sleep. This girl is huge and walks at all hours of the night. Best bet is to live on the top floor. Everything else is great.

Great Staff, pretty good location
I love living here. The people who work in the office are wonderfull and they really care about their residents. The location is not the greatest as far as driving into Raleigh, or even RTP, but it is near grocery stores and schools and other such necessisties. The apartments are also very nice.

Awesome!!
This place rocks. I enjoy the staff here, they are sooo friendly and helpful, very accomodating. They also have events once or twice a week, like movie night or breakfast. I love living here. I have no complaints, and would stay here and renew my lease if I werenĀ“t moving out of state.

Excellent! Best place in Cary!
This place is, in a word, awesome. The apartments are huge and excellent quality, the maintenance people are great and come by to fix whatever you need within a day, sometimes same day, itĀ“s quiet, and for the most part, management is great. My only major complaint is the outrageous pet fee. When I moved in, it was $300 per pet. With 2 cats, it adds up. They did let us space it out over 6 months. But now itĀ“s gone up to $400 per pet. IĀ“m not sure if I would have stayed if it was that much when we came here. But the good thing is, you dont have to pay it again if youĀ“re there for more than a year. I plan on renewing my lease. GREAT place to live!!!!!!!!!

_______________________________
12/15/03
I have just gotten through reading the reviews that some people have posted. I cant figure out how they got such bad treatment. IĀ“ve lived here for a year and just renewed my lease, and have hardly ever had a problem. Would not Recommend
Perhaps my time at waterford would have been better had I not lived below big foot. Amy Lock is unprofessional and had I to do it over again I would have run after my first experience with her. Parking is not perfect and people who live there love to drive in the middle of the narrow driveways. I feel sorry for people who live facing the volleyball court and pool, plenty of noise in that area. A lot of vandelism to the facilities have taken place in the past year, from damage to the pool area, to destroyed soda machines, and stolen hoses in the car wash area. Management does a great job to repair and cover it up.

Convenient and comfortable. Highly recommended.
I lived here for 8 months while interning at IBM in RTP. I found my 866 square ft. home at Waterford Forest to be exactly what I would like in an apartment in Cary. It is in an extremely convenient location with everything you could need within a 5 minute drive along never-crowded streets. The complex was very clean and looked practically new. I never had to call maintenance because everything looked great and worked flawlessly. The office staff was very professional, helpful, and courteous. I would strongly recommend others to look into this property.

This place is AWESOME!!
I just moved into Waterford & I love it! It is by far the best place I have ever lived. While I was looking for a place, this was by far the nicest place & cheapest in the NC State area.
I have really been impressed by the sense of community that you get when you move in here. So far, I have attended the Residents Breakfast & Pool Party. Both were excellent experiences & gave me a chance to meet some neighbors and staff here.
The apartments are nice & the staff is great. I have a dog as well & he has really enjoyed the dog park and inviting atmosphere they have here for pets.
MOVE IN HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good place to live
For the price and the convience of the location to RTP, Waterford Forest was excellent. I have lived here for a couple of months now, and I havenĀ“t expirenced any problems. Their seems to be a broad mix of people within the apartment complex, and overall it is fairly quiet. While their are quite a few dogs in the community, they havenĀ“t caused any problems so far. The staff at the office has been available and helpful. While you wonĀ“t have any frills, like at some of the apartments in Cary, for the price you canĀ“t really expect any. The grounds are immaculate, and fairly well lit at night. They are strict about keeping the grounds clean, keeping pets leashed, etc. but in reality itĀ“s the only way to keep the area clean.

So far, itĀ“s been great!
IĀ“ve lived here less than a year, so IĀ“m a bit hesitant to post a glowing review (in my experience, apartment communities tend to lose some of their luster after youĀ“ve lived there a while)--but I canĀ“t find anything negative to report.

The rent is very reasonable for the area, and if you negotiate enough when youĀ“re leasing, you can probably get an even better deal (push to get the washer/dryer included in the rent). I havenĀ“t had a maintenance request since the first week I moved in, and that was handled within hours. During this yearĀ“s unusual winter weather, sidewalks were cleared rapidly, and maintenance staff went on 24-hour duty when the temperatures dropped and there were problems with the fire sprinklers. The grounds are always well cared for, the pool and fitness center in good shape, and in the fall they added my favorite place--the dog park! IĀ“ve lived in other apartment complexes that allowed pets, but never in one that I would have called "pet-friendly" before. They fenced in a dog run for us, and after a few requests they added lights so the dogs could play even on dark winter evenings. I will say that if youā¦Ā See More>anonymous
