Examples:The office staff takes UPS & FEDX packages for me, I'm on the road alot and can't get to them, they actually deliver packagesto my apartment now and then! Also management does a great job keeping the community a neighborhood it's home to me and I recommend it to everybody!!

Prompt, exceptional maintenance
The best thing about living at Beechstone is the attention to maintenance. From keeping the grounds looking beautiful in the summer to responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner makes it an enjoyable and carefree place to live. Snow removal and keeping the roads clear is their #1 priority making it a safe and easily accessible complex to live in.

Great Place to Live
I lived at Beechstone for 2 years. Very convenient to a lot of things. Really close to the beaches and only minutes from downtown. I would rent there again in a minute. Go visit them and see what they have to offer - very friendly office staff and more than willing to show you around. Only had to wait once for some repair work but they had a minor leak to take care of a were able to address my problem the same day.

Not too pleased
The apartments are 'luxury apartments' only as a namesake; the truth is the buildings are old. The Office is not that friendly. The noise from neighbors gets to you. So you hear the kid running around next door, someone (probably) working out on a treadmill above, and any number of other things. If you are lucky, you neighbor below won't complain, but otherwise, you are in hell, especially if the neighbor, smelling of beer, knocks on your door and starts screaming at your wife, or whoever else opens the door.
So your options are - constantly complain about your neighbors, or just take it quietly.
Not military friendly.
We were led to believe that if we entered into a one year lease, since I am in the military, I could submit my orders to the office and be released from the lease. They did return the deposit but they are charging us another month's rent. This is due to the free month we recieved when we moved in. Since we are leaving 9 DAYS early, we are requied to pay an additional $1200. Apparently the year begins when you start to pay, not when you move in. Read the contract carefully. Don't think that since you are doing a service to the country that you will not be liable for costs that are out of your control.

Miss My Home at Colonial Pines Estates
I moved out of Colonial Pines in March and have to say I was very happy there. I lived there for almost 3 years and found it to be the right place for a single person like myself. Because of a job transfer I had to relocate but must say I was happier with my small apartment and the price was right. I miss the short ride to the beaches and the family atmosphere. I like being only minutes away from the downtown area and yet close to Boston and Portland. If and when I return to NH I will definitely look to live there again.

Things are alright at Colonial Pines
I lived at Stonecroft for a year and moved out because my husband was relocated. Our overall experience was positive. The office crew was polite and responsive, maintainance crew was also responsive. Our building was quiet and our neighbors minded their own business. I would recommend it.

Navy Officer
I'd like to say that my stay at Beechstone was a great one.I'm often called out on duty and I know when I return, my home will be quiet and enjoyable.Forum group, the management company, screens their tenants, they don't rent to anybody, drive through you'll never see trash littered on the property,it's clean and well mantained.I lived there for 5 years and I plan on returning at some point when I retire. On a closing note call the Portsmoth Police Department, ask them about the Beechstone, Stonecroft and Colonial Pines neighborhood. I know of two officers that lived three buildings down, in seperate homes. If it's good enough for the Portsmouth PD, it'll be a great home for you

My experience was a good one
I lived at Colonial Pines for 2 years, from 2001 to 2003 and I found the apartment large and pleasant. The staff both at the office and within maintainance was polite and accomidating. The location is very great as you can jump on to 95 very quickly. Overall, I would give Colonial Pines a good rating and I would recommend it.

Seven Years - No Problems
I have lived at Beechstone for over seven years. I have been very happy living here. I have a large apartment for the price and the only place I found that will let me have my pet. All maintenance is done within a reasonable time of request and the guys are friendly. I like living here and will stay here as long as my health allows me. Great people, neighbors and surroundings.

Overall pretty good
i lived in beechstone and i have to say had i been writing this comment a couple years ago i would have had to agree with most ive read. In all fairness it has been getting alot better. In the past it took weeks and several visits to correctly address any concerns i may have had wheher it was regarding an incorrect water bill (really the only bad part every month the reading of the meters) or my dishwasher leaking (I actually had one guy explain the entire process to me and i was able to reiterate the process to my wife during one of our episodes. She thought i was a genius) I say for the price and location in the greatest state in the union. I give it an
85% the -15% is only because of not much for adults to do. No Pool,Tennis Courts, tanning booths.

Infested With Cockroaches!
At first glance my apt was beautiful. Spacey, clean, quiet. However, I have lived in the seacoast my whole life and never have I had the displeasure of seeing a cockroach! My apt is infested with them. Management sprays but they keep getting bigger. Speaking of management...Rudest man alive and i have never dealt with such a jerk of a landlord. Things are constantly breaking as well. WATER BILL...look out! Massive water bills here. $80.00 a month for 1 adult and 3 small kids. I dont even have a washing machine.

Way too expensive
Me and my boyfriend had a place there for a yr and for the amount of money that we shelled out for that place, we should have bought a house. Between the rent, the water, the heat, the electric, the cable, etc. you were paying enough to have a mortgage. The front desk people were rude and didn't care. They were too cheap to even include the water into the rent, they just charged you and the price per gallon was never the same. It always went up every month! The maintenance guys were good though, when we called to tell the front desk that one of our toilet was leaking, they didn't seem to care but the maintenance men were there fast. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you are in the military because you will lose alot of money there.

Its ok but its not luxury
I just moved out of BS and it was ok. I lived there for 2 years. The maintenance crews were ok at what they did. The turn around time for them doing the jobs was pretty good. Grounds were pretty well kept and the plowing in the winter is good.

The laundry facilities are expensive and do not hold a large load. They are close so that is maybe worth the extra money...thats up to you.

The rooms and apartments need redecorating. The bathrooms are bare and simple. The carpets are stained and in need of replacing. The appliances are old and are also in need of replacing. The living rooms are large which is a bonus.

Overall the place is ok. Some reviews on here are a little harsh and some on here are obviously written by people being asked to write them by the management as i was asked also. I was asked to write a positive feedback by the Property Manager. Well this is my honest feedback.

Out of 10 i would rate it a 6. Any more than that and it is going into the realms of fantasy land....The property manager could also use a little patience with people and some manners would be a plus.

I liked it
I lived in a 3 bedroom loft unit. I really liked it, we used the loft as a spare room - getting furniture up there is tough!
Also had no problems with the office or maint. staff. If you don't have kids, definitely request the "adults only" apartments, it's very quiet over there. I'm not sure about the rest of the place though.
One bad thing - don't bother doing laundry at their facilities, it's way to expensive and the machines are old and don't work well.

I've had no problems here.
For apartment living, beachstone is not bad at al! I have never had a problem here, when maintenance is necessary - it gets taken care of right away. Staff have always been pleasant. The rooms are large and where I am at (Stonecroft), we have very little problem with noise. The bottom line is if you don't cause trouble, you won't get trouble.

Too pricey
I looked at these apartments a few months ago and I was quite suprised by the cost. They are rather expensive for what you get. The grounds were not all too well kept, some residents were doing work on their cars and it just seemed too cheap to pay expensive rent like $1000 a month.

I decided not to go there basically due to the price.

I just moved out and i had 2 years of hell
I have just moved out of Beechstone very recently. I was living with a friend for 2 years. We moved in thinking that the apartments would be catered for as luxury apartments as that is what they advertise. That really is very far from the truth. The bills are very expensive, they fluctuate the cost of heating and water from month to month.

The maintenence staff have had some bad write ups in this forum but that is freedom of speech. However they actually were quite good to me over the 2 years. They responded well and did quite a good job.

The management however are as everyone who has posted a negative remark about them has said. They really are rude, defensive and dont really care if you have problems. They just want your money and dont want to hear any complaints.

I came across this website as I was asked to post a positive comment on here after i had moved out. A certain member of the staff asked me. Well im sorry i can not lie. I did not enjoy living there very much.

Please everyone look around before visiting Beechstone. And the advert on Television.....looks completely different to what you will experience...believe me.

This is a good place to live!
I lived at Beechstone for 3 years and had a very good experience. The apartment was spotless when I moved in, with new appliances. I didn't have too many problems when I lived there, but on the 1 occasion that I did it was handled immediately. The grounds are kept nicely, and they did a really good job in the winter with clearing the walks & parking lot. In short, I found Beechstone to be clean and safe with good services - also loved the fitness center - it has a good assortment of real equipment and again was kept clean.
