Falling apart overpriced and noisy

Would not recommend if you have any other options. The pros: maintenance staff is fantastic. The cons: The amount of times we've needed to call maintenance, these are aging buildings and lots of things break. We've had faulty fire alarms go off many times in the building having to evacuate with a new born in the middle of winter. The yearly rent increase is steep Expect JCM living to raise your rent $300-$400 yearly No peace and quiet. after one year of living here a new neighbor moved in upstairs the floors/ceilings are very thin and poorly constructed. They allow their children to run for hours upon hours late into the night and the sound levels of this are incredibly disturbing. The previous tenants had children and we've become use to a reasonable level of noise and foot traffic which is normal for apartment but this is another level. We've had water pouring into our bathroom from the ceiling vent from upstairs twice when the upstairs neighbors over flowed their bathtub. Management has done nothing to rectify the situation. If you are not renting an upstairs unit beware you and your family can be headed for a very uncomfortable living situation when a new resident moves in. After months of contacting many different people our issues with the new upstairs neighbors still are not resolved, even after the police were called. They might not take your reasonable requests seriously until lawyers have to be involved. They will sell you on luxury and charge you handily for it sadly the state of their buildings and inaction by the managers prove it's just a high priced illusion.

LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY FROM OUR APARTMENT TO THE LEASING OFFICE, MAINTENANCE CREW AND AMENITIES!!! OUR NEIGHBORS ARE WONDERFUL!! OUR APARTMENT IS VERY CLOSE TO PARKS AND SHOPPING! THE COMMUNITY ALSO HOSTS EVENTS FOR THE RESIDENTS WHICH IS ALOT OF FUN!

Very satisfied with management and staff. We feel safe and there's regular maintenance of garbage collection, outdoor maintenance of cleanliness and most importantly office staff and maintenance staff are all good.

Love it here been here over 20 years. Plan on being here another 20. The pool area, the tennis court, the racquetball court, the place in the middle of the community where you can get to places easy all good.

I have lived in this community during the first few years it opened almost 20 years agao. I was excited to come back after I sold my home and have been so dissapointed in the maintenance of the grounds. It is sad to see how it is not taken care of.

When i first moved in i was very satisfied with everything within the complex. As the years go by i notice less attention being place in the units at the end of the complex. The siding of the units is filthy, garbage is left on the ground, plants are not maintained, sidewalks are an eye sore, railings need painting, stairs on building 38 have been repatched several times , not aesthetic at all- the back of the complex is obviously being neglected and all effort is being placed on buildings/areas near the main entrance.

I actually moved here in 2009. I transferred to a larger apartment in 2011. The community is very quiet and security has never been an issue here. The new management company does a great job up-keeping the property. And the management team is prompt to respond to requests for maintenance service.

For the most part we are buildings could use some paint on doors and porches. Landscaping could do a better job of cleaning up when trimming bushes etc. and they need to pay attention to canles and/or wires because they cut the AC to my apt

Overall my significant other and I love the community. We have had minimal issues but the maintenance staff is always very quick to respond to our needs. Only issue is that this year there was a significant delay opening the pool. I understand they need a lifeguard but we pay for the pool in the monthly rent and it did not open until almost the 4th of July and is expected to close Labor Day weekend, which is very short.

Enjoy living here just wish it wasn't so expensive. We unfortunately don't receive any upgrades to our living facility but we continue to get huge raises in our rent. Being a long time resident of this community there should be some consideration placed on the loyalty of the long term residents and not have to incurr such rent increases.

It's was beautiful and safe , the neighborhood was safe, the management team was very helpful , they use to care about the people who live here , but now everything is mess , you don't feel safe anymore and you afraid of the team management . We had a building management name Jennifer she was incredible, but the new person they have not nice at or ,you don't have to do much for people to see the greatness in you. I wish they showed care and appreciation to the community .

The apartments are very nice and spacious, the grounds are kept nice. Most of the people are nice and mind there business for the most part. Just wish they would pickup there dogs business. There are plenty of poop areas where they have bags and people are very lazy.

The Highlands is a nice place to live. The staff is professional. The grounds are well kept. It's nice not having to shovel a driveway when it snows. The maintenance is done quickly. Shout out to Wilson, he's a great guy.

With this past snowstorm,1/19/2025, the people who remove the snow did an amazing job. My own driveway before was never done so good. The neighborhood is sometimes too quiet. We love living in here, just alot of adjustments for myself and family.

I lived in apt 404 for 15 years before I moved into 164. I enjoy living here and hope I can afford to remain here. I feel safe and enjoy the residents and walking for exercise. Apt is up to date and comfortable.

Love it. Everyone is so friendly. Beautifully laid out apartments. Grounds are meticulous taken care of. Office and maintenance is professional and welcoming. Definitely get the loft apartments, the walk in closets are amazing!
