LIFE SAVER

During the Summer, we had problems with the unit above us leaking water from their AC unit. On 5 occasions throughout the Summer the water damaged our carpets severely causing mold and gnat flies swarming around the surrounding area. To the point these flies were in the kitchen. We have dogs and we had to close off a huge area of the apartment so they would not sniff or lick the wet spots. In addition, my wife is asthmatic, and the moldy air was affecting her. We reported our problem to Jenniferr but after a few weeks there was no response. We then found out that Jennifer was no longer working there. So frustrated and losing hope, we made contact with Nicole. She immediately took over the situation and got the ball rolling. She was patient and empathetic to our problem. She listened to our suggestions and took the time from her busy schedule to look at the damage herself. Upon entering the apartment, she immediately saw and smelled the effects of the water damage. We put a plan in place and she said she would follow up immediately. During the interim, Kira assisted with correspondence and relayed info to Nicole when she was not available as she was attending to other needs. This helped out tremendously as the communication was not disrupted. Long story short, she was able to replace a huge portion of the damaged carpet. Immediately. the mold smell and flies disappeared. Nicole's willingness to help in a prompt and efficient manner was outstanding. She really came in the clutch and picked up where Jennifer left off. Simply the BEST!!!

The best experience I have so far, is the friendly neighbor. The community is clean and well maintained. The schools are desirable and sought after. The rooms are spacious, with plenty storage space. My only con is the walls need more sound denting.

I am very pleased with the Highlands Nanuet Community. I think I am really going to enjoy living here. Very nice amenities, neigbors, activities. Lots of comfort and luxury touches. A definite recommendation for anyone looking for a great apartment experience.

Everyone on the grounds is friendly. My issue is the increase rent at the first year was up 3% and the landscaping is fair to average. They cut the grass twice a month but no weeding or planting of new plants around the complex

The exterior is maintained well. However, long-term residents are not treated well and denied reasonable improvements. As a result, some apartments are quite dated with very old appliances, fixtures, etc. The cost of garbage disposal is quite high considering the limited service provided. The community has become very loud over the years.

Very nice place to live, quiet, lots of people walking dogs. Pool/gym very nice also. Very friendly atmosphere. Garbage and recycling taken 5 days a week and there are areas for garbage and recycling to drop off. Maintenance guys are great, and office staff very accommodating.

Kira was great and made the whole move in process amazing and super easy. I would highly recommend Highlands as a community to live in. I feel safe and it's extremely quiet. A genuine lovely neighbourhood to live in.

Has gone downhill since under new management. Grounds look unkempt with weeds and overgrown bushes and shrubs. Pool umbrellas broken. Sloppy exterior paint jobs around railings. We still like living in the community.

It has been ok. It is billed as a "luxury" complex and it has some amenities but I don't typically use the gym. Maintenance issues are handled for the short term but there seems to be a reluctance to invest in replacing things.

I absolutely love everything! It's a beautiful community. Location is ideal for everything. The commute to NYC is easy, the cleanest and the way they maintain the entire complex speaks highly of the organization they have.

It is a very nice community. Would like to see more plantings, mulch and flowers in the beds by the apartments similar to the sales office. I am unaware of any security measures. Office staff and indoor maintenance staff are excellent.

I'm a people person and enjoy seeing my neighbors take walks around the property. The amenities are well maintained. We have an aesthetically appealing pool and barbecue area that adds to resort style living. It's a plus to have a gym, basket and tennis ball courts, and I especially love the trash valet experience. Such a wonderful experience!!

My husband and I were looking for an apartment and had a tour with Nicole yesterday at the Highlands Nanuet. I have to say that she went above and beyond to provide us with a great experience. Even though the timing isn't right for us to move between our current place and availability her knowledge of the homes and amenities were top notch. She really does her job well and because of her professionalism and knowledge of the facility we will definitely consider moving in down the road if circumstances allow. Nice grounds, properly kept, prompt maintenance, friendly office staff, plenty of parking. Good value as the townhomes are a good value. 1600 sq ft ain't bad, and with a loft feel much bigger. Tennis, racquetball, and basketball courts are a plus in addition to the gym and pool. All environments are spacious enough at a minimum (bathroom, bedroom etc.). Quiet community, but spaced out enough you can have a gathering with no one hassling you. And Nanuet Senior HS is excellent, highly rated. What's not to like?

It has been good despite 4 ownership changes in 7 years we have been here. There could be more security components for this development. Should have better recycling set up vs current system. Also need to start looking into EV stations for EV cars

Safe place to live. Noise from above tenants but that is what you get for living on first floor. Office staff is accommodating. Close to shopping area and COSTCO is a bonus. Maintenance is excellent.

I use to love living here but since new owners took over I'm very disappointed in the how things are ran. My first apartment was infested with mice. When I asked them to move me they acted as if they were doing me a favor. I couldn't believe it was clearly there fault. After much back and forth I was offered an apartment that was old and not as nice as the unit I was in. Not to mention the rent has gone up $200 each year. The rent prices are outrageous

So far so good, never had issues till last service ticket.friendly response to issues but didn't fix last time told me to hit the issue on my hotwater heater and call in new service ticket
