I really like it here at Alister! Its comfortable, clean, the staff is great & I have wonderful neighbors. Great place to raise kids also! Only con I have is that the gym equipment needs to be updated. Certain machines have been out of order for awhile. Other than that, its wonderful.

Love the apartments and the community. More so, love the friendly manner of the staff. I feel safe and at home in this community. Overall this is a great place to live. Happily in a non renovated home. If you like fancy, the upgraded version surely gives that feel. If youre a simpleton like myself, my recommendation is the non renovated as youd save more money!

Services and grounds are great. Maintenance is great. The only issue is that rent for single residents is very high, much higher than market rates around. Yes, you get more than the average place around here, but you pay more than you need to for it.

It is a great place, very good staff and good location everything is close!!! the only bad thing is the noise unfortunately the train route is around and there are many neighbors who use loud speakers for music in their cars late night and weekends!! The office staff is always providing excepcional service.

Great schools, convenient shopping, professional and friendly Leasing Office Staff, cleanliness is great, maintenance team is awesome! Potential renters should be vetted a little more. Consideration of the dynamics of renters should be considered; families with families, single people amongst single people.

I have had a good experience overall. When I first moved here I lived in a different section of the community which was very noisy and the neighbors upstairs out of control. I have had a totally different experience since moving after a year in my first apartment. I love the peace, quiet, and tranquility.

In general safe community and quiet. I had issues with a neighbor parking his raising card in front of my bedroom window. He used to run the car engine for 20 minutes on weekends. Around 2 am on weekends. I callled police and contacted the office once. other than that, This is a safe place to live in.

I am very happy at the Alister Nanuet Community. Everyone is very nice and quiet. I love seeing that this community is pet friendly. In the winter months the snow is taken care of immediately. The pet stations are always full with Doggie Bags.

Grounds could be kept cleaner and neater. Outside lights should be checked more often. Dryer system on outside of building should be checked more often. Pet waste should be checked by pet owners and cleaned up more often.

We had an excellent experience in the leasing process. Our guide Georgina was excellent and very nice, she explained everything clearly to us and overall the experience was wonderful. We love having a washer/dryer, a parking space, and to have our two cats live here, as many apartments do not allow for pets. We also love the option of paying rent online. And the location to stores that we shop at often is very convenient. Also, if we want to invite guests, parking is much easier for them too.

It's too noisy. There's lots of crime, vandalism, the staff isn't allowed to do anything about it. It's dirty. There's rarely parking because the parking tags aren't enforced, it's too expansive for what you get. I'm sure there are worse, but for what you pay, its a bit ridiculous. Especially since the area itself has gone to complete trash.

Its ok. In 2018 my car tires was removed from my vehicle in the complex right in front of my window n no cameras no one saw anything but my car was left on 4 center blocks in this great community:( in 2018 I reported that my dryer caught on fire I revived an even older version. Stove wasnt working good it was replaced Ruth an enemy older version and broken knobs which I still have today:(

This is a nice, family oriented, animal friendly community with a variety of floor plans. Close to everything without feeling like you are in the middle of everything. Grounds are well maintained year round.

The apartments I saw were spotless and the floor plans are well designed. The apartment I moved into is perfect for what I was looking for. Can't wait until warmer weather to check out that beautiful pool. I really love living here so far. Highly recommended.

We very much like the complex. Thank you for your fine effort and concern. The unit is modern and having a second bedroom & bath makes a difference. We also enjoy our privacy walk'in garage. Unit has plenty of storage space. We enjoy the proximity to major roads & highways. We are only a short drive to stores and our banking.

I love the amenities. I feel safe and love where the apartment is located however my apartment is severely dated. I have a two bedroom and two bathroom and pay over 2700. My heat does not work properly. My appliances are the originals and are falling apart. My walls are covered in cheap stucco or popcorn , my floors have cheap shag carpeting throughout and my linoleum floors are lifting up and not adhering to the linoleum floors originally under the ones they lightly glued on top. The bathtub doesn't drain properly and the drawers in the kitchen are falling apart because the screws are not even holding the face of the drawers on anymore. If you want an ,"updated " apartment you will have to pay an additional 200$ a month if you don't want to hang something and a chunk of wall doesn't come out at you. Overall, don't rent from here. You may get an updated apartment but the guts are still the same inside the buildings. The place has recently been sold a few times and Im sure if you want an updated apartment you will be paying for it!! I would recommend a facility that is newer. You will have less problems.

I am a current resident since 7 years, Since it was under Avalon and as much as the new management are trying to gain tenants trust and acceptance but they are not as nice and considerate as the old management. Money is more important than anything else and whatever your emergency or situation money comes first.

The rent for 3 bed is 3000 which is fine but the service they provide is not grt compared to the rent they provide more over the staff is highly ill-mannered and have no concept of talking politely to the residents the management should look into this as the whole community is expensive to rent and if anyone is renting it atleast they can provide is polite staff. I will never recommend anyone to rent it out ever.

STAY AWAY FROM PEAKS/HARBOR GROUP!!! We lived in this complex since 2012 in their most expensive duplex unit but ever since Harbor Group took over this complex from Avalon Communities the resident treatment and service went down hill. In the winter when it snows the new snow removal contractors plow your cars in with a mountain where as Avalon had their men shovel all around your vehicles. I had elderly handicapped neighbors to my right and left and every winter for the last three years I shoveled them out after Harbor Groups morons plowed a mountain in front of their garages. I complained numerous times to the office management but nothing changed. And to top it off, they usually don't start plowing till mid day so if you have to get out in the morning you'll have to dig yourself out and expect everything you shoveled to be plowed but with more. During the spring, summer and fall their gardening crews would start their industrial machines at 7am including on weekends so forget about a late sleep. When maintenance was required and I booked online I would always check off the option that said I wanted to be present when they entered my home...in almost every case they disregarded that instruction and either entered when we were not home or came at a time we were not there and left a message they attempted. For the first four years under Avalon the community was peaceful, civil and respectful but since Harbor Group took over the strata of people moving in has taken a sharp down turn. There are now numerous people with loud modified cars with headers that rattle your home and those jerks race through the complex at all hours, if you have small children beware, VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION! HG is apparently allowing apartment shares so in the last two years we've seen a lot of college age and twenty somethings move in who like to blast music and hang out near the residences drinking and being loud till 1-2 am. Complaints have only been responded to with emails. Additionally there are a lot more teens who crowd the pool and exercise rooms with their friends who don't live in the complex. When I got transferred for work which required me to relocate a month and half early I approached HG and asked if something could be worked out, either reduced rent or allow me to exit the lease a month early. My request fell on indifferent ears. But the final spit in my face was after paying $4500 for an empty apartment for the last 6 weeks of my lease I recently got my security deposit back and they deducted $230 for "cleaning expenses". After speaking to the property manager Katheryn, she tried to blame it on a stain in the carpet but I pointed out the the carpeting was over 8 years old and that their own bylaws state that the carpet be replaced after five years. then she tried another reason and said we left a piece of furniture to be removed. We left a small storage bin on the floor of a bathroom and she actually had the nerve to tell me they had to hire a cleaning company to remove it...it was so small a child could have removed it. Harbor Group has a lot to learn about customer relations and I sincerely suggest you look at Avalon Communities or the Hamlets as an alternative because this complex is is getting worse not better by the day.
