Very clean and nice community. Only issue I have is with parking. Other than that everything is great. Also really appreciate the trash valets and trash pick up. I've only been here about a month now so far so good

This place has it positives and negatives like everywhere else. Some of the better aspects include the APT's themselves. Their decent and clean and have good floor plans. A big negative for me is they don't really care about keeping good tenants around. Your rent WILL go up with every lease renewal.

'Our apartment flooring does not match any other apartment in this community even one of the leading staff noticed it. Our apartment was not cleaned when we moved in I had emails And pictures to prove it. The land scape is never nice there is water leaking every where can't even walk in grass it's alway muddy. People let their Dogs poop on the side walk and never cleans it. We lived here the first time st James opened years ago and LOVED it that's why after husband left military in California we moved back into st james BUT it severely has changed and we tell ANYONE THAT ASKS about this place not to move here. We have neighbors we love here and always talk about the problems of being stuck in a lease here.

Beautiful apartments, noise level is low. Good clean amenities. Not enough parking and a rental car of mine was towed by the property and the staff were not helpful to me when it happened. Quick with maintenance requests. Overall, great apartments!

Traffic is extremely loud and evidently the ac was not checked prior to move in because it does not work. I called the emergency maintenance number and although the guy was very pleasant, he was not effective whatsoever as far as fixing problem in a timely manner is concerned. From my conversation with him, it is the property's protocol and if that's the case, then it is not maintenance fault at all.

I love being at this community because it offers me the opportunity to not only meet new people, but also come back from work and relax. From the open grilling stations to the lively pool to the friendly staff, this community has something to offer for everybody.

my overall experience with St James has been good. Great amenities, rent is not bad and apartments are nice. Only complaints are thin floors/ceilings so I heard every setep my upstair neighbor takes and then the pest issue- would not say infestation but it is a problem for someone like myself who prides themselves in their cleanliness.

Over all has been a good place to live. Has some minor problems but not to bad. Staff has been very professional. Some pet owners refuse to clean up after their pets so you have to be careful where you walk. I won't take my dogs to the dog park its to dirty.

Rude office staff and poor security. Multiple stolen motorcycles and not one thing done by the office staff to further protect the property of residents. Lindsey at the front office has to be one of the rudest individuals I've encountered.

It has been decent. They have been doing a lot of renovations, so everything has been getting fixed in my time here. New gym, new pool, new paint on apartments. Those have increased the living experiences for sure. Prices is pretty heafty but there are good qualities. The housing complex should do a deduction for referrerals. I have referred 2 couples to the house. There should still be a 15 spot visitor parking for individuals who surprise after office hours.

The staff has gone above and beyond to assist me and my father in the entire process of getting an apartment that accommodates special needs. They already feel like family to me. I've enjoyed their quick responses to any issues. I really like the high ceilings and the size of the bedrooms. The location of the complex is convenient as well.

The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive to their residents. The complex is kept in stunning condition all around and the clubhouse, pool, and outdoor area are awesome. They hold community events every quarter or so and they are always a blast! This has been, by far, the best apartment experience we have ever had.

Friendly and helpful staff. Apartments are clean and spacious. It is a great place to live and the location is also convenient. I look forward to the events that they have for dogs. Also, the dog park is very nice and has a lot of room for the dogs to run around.

My experience living here hasn't been bad at all. Except for some minor things I would recommend living here. The biggest problem is people picking up after their pets. I think a little more can be done for enforcement but a very pet friendly community so that does make it nice because they are hard to find

When we first moved in we didn't have the best experience. But over time I have been able to get to know the staff amd they are amazing. They have been very helpful with some issues we have had and quick to find a resolution. They have also had a quick turn around in any maintance needs we have had, in most cases same day turn around. The staff is working hard to figure out a resolution to parking issues and the poop problem as well. Overall a great community to live and the amenities are pretty awesome.

Now called St. James at Goose Creek- My fiancé and I thought these apartments were great when we came to look at them! They have beautiful apartments and a pool open year round! It's just very appealing at first glance. But then you look closer. The prices seem somewhat reasonable at first but then you find out that they automatically charge $100 for Internet, cable and valet trash which sounds okay but added on top of the already high prices is not great. We have lived here one month exactly and have already had some major issues. 1) A leaky sink. When we turned the kitchen sink on, water would go all in our cabinets! It was a huge mess. No one came to look at it for almost 36 hours and the maintenance guy claimed he came by when we were gone for all of thirty minutes. There was no sign that he even touched the sink so he had to come out the next day and it took two seconds to fix. He left a piece of paper with me saying that he came by which he did not do the day before which leads me to believe he really did not come in at all. 2) We picked up my fiancé's car yesterday that had just shipped in from Guam- we are military. We got back to the apartment after the office was closed so could not get a sticker for the car. He left for work this morning at 6 a.m. Walked out and his car was GONE! It got towed and is now costing us $310. I sent an email to Lindsey in the office and got no response and when I called the number, another girl answered and had to GOOGLE the number to the towing company. No one could even tell me the name of the place. 3) Communication sucks. Throughout the whole leasing process, there was little communication. There were so many things that we weren't told about- like the guest sweet they have for visitors to rent out if needed. That would have saved us from getting a two bedroom. The day we moved in, there were painters painting our building. We are on the third floor and they had the stairways blocked. The front office should have communicated with them that there was a move in that day. There were plenty of other buildings that needed painting. My point is, it's just been a mess. And I hear they are terrible when it comes to moving out. Even with the military clause, they require a 30 day notice and most people get charged for carpet even though it is supposed to be replaced every three years. Can't wait to see how that goes when it's time for us to leave here.

This is now called St. James @ Goose Creek. My husband and I have lived here for almost 6 months. I think that the complex is VERY nice. The people in the office are great, especially Lindsey! We have enjoyed living here. There is a dog poop problem, but the office staff are trying their best to remedy that. All of the neighbors I have met have been very friendly. There is a dog park and there are grills that a lot of people use and seem to enjoy. You MUST be careful to put your parking sticker in the window. My car got towed with NO WARNING. Yes, it's my fault for not putting my sticker on, but I was a little upset about no warning. And if you lose the sticker, there is a $25 fee for replacement. The laundry facility is nice enough. Four washers and four dryers. There is an online service to check the machines to see what is available before you go down, or to check on your own loads. I've rarely had a problem having access to the machines. There is a pool table in the clubhouse which I think is a nice added touch. The maintenance team ROCKS!!! Donnaven is always friendly and the two times I have called for A/C service, he was there immediately! I just hope that our next apartment in our new city and state will be as trouble free as this has been.

Honestly, I feel bad a recommended a friend to live in the apartment because the complex got so much worst after the new management company took over. Here are just a few issues I encountered while living here: -Lots of crime. The friend I recommended to live here had friends over and one of them got there car stolen and another got theirs broken into. WHAT??? I also had one officer ask me if I saw anyone steal a washer and dryer because a new resident got theirs stolen. -The floor had no noise muffling at all. My old upstairs neighbors moved out and this terrible loud couple moved in upstairs. They were always clomping around like elephants when I needed to go to sleep. If they wanted to sleep and we had the tv up to loud they made sure to call the cops. I would suggest not living on any floor with an upstairs neighbor. -The neighborhood is terrible! There was nothing of interest close by. -The staff from the new management company is iffy. Sometimes they were very helpful and other times they just seemed not to try very hard to help. I wish the old company still ran the complex. -We were charged for new carpets even though we had very little problems with our pets going to the bathroom and when they did we always cleaned it up. THEY CHARGED US $400 FOR NEW CARPETS WHEN THE APARTMENT HAD THREE YEAR OLD CARPETS WHEN WE MOVED IN. Not cool because the carpets had no visible stains and could have been easily cleaned. MILITARY BEWARE! Though they do have a military clause which allows you to get out of your lease, they require 30 days notice even if you get orders to move in less than a week (which happened to me and a few others). Even though we informed them before our orders got there the exact date we were moving out they did not let us break the lease until 30 days after we had our orders. It was stressful enough knowing we were having to move but not know where but they could have been more understanding. There are far better apartment complexes out there which are way more understanding of the military lifestyle. Just don't live here. The rent is way too much and the new management company will swindle you.

I used to love living here, but now I feel as if it is starting to decline. Neighbors are rude, obnoxious and litter every where. Maintenance once was very helpful, but that seems not the case lately. Every time I walk into the club house to use their laundry facilities I can hear the office staff laughing and using profanity. The new manager is arrogant and acts as if he does not have the time to listen to your concerns. Does anyone know where Austin went?!

The staff here is great. I recently went through some hard times and the manager really understood and went out of his way to make sure that I was taken care of. The community is gorgeous and the amenities are top notch. If you are looking for a great "newer" apartment community in a safe, quiet area then I highly recommend this place.

This place is a hidden gem. I accidentally stumbled upon St. James during my apartment search and fell in love. The grounds are well kept, apartments are spacious and modern and the office staff is exceptional. Definitely loving my decision to live here!

Could not have asked for a better apartment experience. My fiance and I originally leased our apartment back in the summer and only did a 6 month lease because we did not know how we felt about apartment living. Needless to say, we just renewed our lease and this time we did 12 months. The office staff is great' The manager treats you like a real person and not just a "tenant". The community is very pet friendly and I recently heard that we are getting a dog park soon. The fitness center is prob one of the nicest that I have seen in an apartment complex. Overall great place to live, I have referred two of my buddies from work so far and even got $200 off of my rent each time. Now if we can just get a volley ball court then I will be set!
