Overall good, my only issue have been too many dog owners not picking up after their dogs. The gym would also greatly benefit from having boxes for box jumps, otherwise I have no complaints...........

As a young person in my early 20s who just moved to Tennessee for the first time from another state, this community felt good to be in as it seems to mainly be college age kids. With Vanderbilt Uni not too far away it's easy to meet new people.

The first year was better then second year. The grounds are no longer cleaned and amenities are taken away, without notification. Price as increased as well with nothing new. I have had no issue getting things fixed.

There is considerable street noise, but the apartment is pleasant, otherwise. Maintenance is responsive, but not very communicative. So far, the leasing office staff at Charlotte at Midtown have been easy to work with.

The location of this apartment is ideal! 10-15 minutes away from most things and less than a 5 minute drive from the interstate. Close to major hospitals. Very walkable to Centennial Park. This is also a very dog-friendly complex.

People in the leasing office were very responsible before moving in. Floor pictures do not perfectly match the room you will move in so ask the office for the details: for example, my floor picture originally did not show bar counter but it did have it which was great, although I did not have bar stools (if I knew it I would have bought it in advance). I was not told that my room has a linen closet, which was also good news. But maybe the opposite situation will happen. I just moved in a week ago so cannot rate for maintenance service etc, so I rated these as intermediate.

The amenities are great, but the location is not that safe at night. My bike was parked in the front of the building overnight (and locked with a kryptonite lock) but the bike was stolen/lock cut off after just one night. The management is also rather unhelpful and rude. I am only here because the units and amenities are nice.

Had a little rough start with a single staff member, but since then I've received nothing but amazing attitudes and work from those who work in the office. I love everything about the apt and where it's located.

Charlotte at Midtown used to be great when I first moved in and has drastically gone down hill. Certain workers in the leasing office are not willing to work with tenants and have made living here feel unwelcoming.

Lived there for 3 years, have had ups and downs, I would say the maintenance team is great when it comes to getting things fixed quickly! Kari at the front office is great as well when dealing with any sort of problems

My initial experience with the management was unwelcoming. I had to contact corporate in order to sign our lease due to biases toward college students and their financial capabilities. From then on, it has been unpleasant. The luxury aspect should be taken loosely. The air conditioning rarely worked and the upkeep of community spaces was poor. They do not care about their residents. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything your neighbors do. Beware of the train that travels multiple times throughout the day and night. It kept me up at night as well as the proximity to the hospital. The only internet provider is ATT and it was very inconsistent which affected my academics and employment. Finally, they will sneak in charges at the end of your lease if you do not pay attention with ridiculous amounts and reasoning.

The apartment location is extremely convenient, and has a traffic light for easy egress. The building itself is kept clean, including common areas, garage, and hallways. The unit is a good size for the price, especially in this area, and has updated appliances. In-unit laundry is always a positive, and this unit has that.

1. Safety. There was an armed robbery in our parking garage, and no one really seemed to care. There was not a lock placed on the door to get into the ground floor hallway of building 2402, so even though there's locks from the parking garage on every other floor someone can enter the staircase after walking under the garage gate (because it's never monitored even by security), walk down the stairs, enter the ground floor, walk freely around the ground floor, and even get into the elevator from the ground floor to access any floor of any building from the 2402 elevator. We are supposed to have security, but I never see them circulating the building with their lights or in front of the garage. 2. The amenities here are really nice. I wish we could have enjoyed the pool longer. It seemed that the pool closed really early this year after a couple days of cold weather. Our pool closed the same time my friends pool up in Minneapolis, MN closed. Minneapolis is way colder and up by Canada. There's no reason our pool should have closed when it did when we pay for it. It was in the 60's three days in October, we closed the pool, then it was 85 the next week, and we couldn't use the pool even though it remained uncovered and not cleaned up for winter for another month or so. 3. Maintenance: a. When we first moved in it took four maintenance requests and three weeks to get maintenance and management to believe us that our washer and dryer wasn't working and we needed a new one. This is unacceptable. We should inherit the apartment in peak condition, and be treated with respect when we bring these concerns to maintenance and management. b. We have an electrical issue with an outlet in the master bedroom. Whenever anything is plugged into the outlet, it trips the wires that are connected on the same circuit and cuts off the power to the wifi router and the bathroom. We have tried four times to get this fixed as well. We know it is not a wifi issue because the electricity goes out in the bathroom as well. Eventually we quit trying to get you all to fix it because nobody would listen to make sure it actually worked once it was fixed, and we figured out if we don't use that outlet it doesn't mess up the electricity. That outlet hasn't been used since September, and that is pretty outrageous considering we pay over a grand a month to live here. 4. Service. There have been a handful of times where I felt my roommate and I could have been treated with a little more respect by the staff. My roommates key fob had issues for the first couple months after we moved in and one of the staff members sassily said to her, "well it's not like you NEED a working key fob". We do. We need one to enter the garage, the building, and the amenities. Second, we were recently accused of smoking marijuana in our apartment. I went up to the office to address it because I have never smoked weed in my life and neither has our roommate. We are both graduate students that work in a medical clinic (so all we do is study and sleep when we can) and are drug tested every month. I was told, "Well, two people were sure it was you, so we didn't do an investigation." Before you go pointing fingers at residents for something we didn't do, put in the work to walk down to the floor and make a judgement for yourself, not based on word of mouth. We also never received an apology from management for that accusation, and that isn't very professional considering we pay quite a bit to live here, always pay on time, and don't cause problems. Overall the facilities are nice, and we are paying for the location close to Vanderbilt.

Just moved into this community, and so far it has been a great experience. The front desk has been super friendly and knowledgeable. Maintenance has been fantastic- they very efficient and responsive to requests and communicate with the renter throughout their work process.

I LOVE Charlotte at midtown. The location is unbeatable. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The parking, amenities, trash valet, and even the complex itself if incredibly great. I am so happy I chose this place to call home.

This place has been terrible. Way too expensive for what the apartments are like, noise from every direction with nothing done about it, outside areas are poorly maintained/covered in dog ----, water is extremely hard and Sulfuric, staff is completely unhelpful with any issue in any situation. Just an overall terrible experience and if it weren't for COVID I would have moved out long ago

No community presence due to coronavirus. It is difficult to do this obviously. But also, safety is not a priority here as can be seen by the lack of security officers and the repeated reminders from management that "security is your responsibility."

Very clean, very professional, easy to get issues resolved. I love the view from my window and I like that the people that live next door are around my age. The fitness center and cyber suite are also a major plus.

I am a new resident at Charlotte Midtown and have been blown away with the staff's teamwork and professionalism. I was able to experience their consistency in communication and attention to detail while at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. All while in the midst of changing office leadership. Although I wasn't able to see the apartment they provided me with both photos and video to make me feel comfortable. My move in experience was spectacular. The whole Charlotte team is great but Rosa specifially deserves recognition. Moving from a different state is a daunting task in itself so you can imagine my anxiety moving in the midst of a pandemic. Her calmness put me at ease and I and happy to say a found a home at Charlotte Midtown! * Three stars under the noise category is because my neighbors have two dogs and they bark very loudly all times of day and late at night.

If you have a dog, this is the only community in West End you should move into. It is far better than the other local options in both price, amenities, and pet friendliness. There is noise from the train tracks, and you can hear it and the sirens from the hospital on all sides of the building, but if you're like me and grew up near trains and hospitals then you get used to them very quickly.

Great looking apartment with great amenities. The only negative thing that I would say is that some residents are not respectful or responsible when it comes to the community amenities and they are rarely held accountable.

So far the community has been great! The management team here have been super helpful whenever I go to them with questions and I can tell they are really trying to make everything as accommodating as possible given how COVID has changed our daily lives.

Living here is like hating your job but loving your co-workers. When I first moved in the office staff was really great, then a month later it was all new people and, well, they are not so great. Unknowledgeable, sassy, don't really care about residents needs. The people that live here are the only saving grace. All the neighbors are fantastic, sweet, and all on the same page. The dog park and the amenities are also really nice!
