Great Apartment Complex
I lived in this apartment complex when I first moved to Austin in 2008 and returned again three years later because I loved it so much. The leasing office staff is very friendly and I feel very safe living here. There is a shopping center right up the road and restaurants near by as well.

Villages of Bella Vista -South Austin
Peaceful, spacious, clean and safe apartment complex south of Austin. Location is close to everything: mall, airport, downtown Management team and staff are very committed in their residences needs. Work order requests are completed within 2-3 days and included a follow-up phone call to ensure that the job has been completed to your satisfaction. We have lived here for 4 years and love the location and their attention to their residence s needs.

Love living here!
I have been here over a year and a half now and I honestly can't think of another place I'd rather live in Austin. The apartment grounds are gorgeous and always kept clean, the gym and pool are something you would see at a resort, not to mention the coffee bar and tanning beds! The nature here is amazing, and I am constantly taking pictures of the amazing sunrises, sunsets and deer that come on the property. I love the location as well, close to all the main freeways and a 10-15 drive to downtown. I don't know what people are talking about with the unfriendly staff, as the girls in the office are great. They are friendly, sweet and completely go out of their way to accommodate you in every way. They even watered my plants for me while I was out of town for a week! Every maintenance request has always been responded to within 24 hours and I always get a follow up email to make sure the issue was resolved. The general vibe from this community is great, and I hope to continue living here for a long time to come. Highly recommend!

Great Place to Live
I moved here over 2 years ago. I love the space of my apartment w/direct access in and when things need to be fixed it happens within 24 hrs. I hate to see all the complaints about our wonderful ladies in the office and Management. They have been nothing but kind to me and always remember me by name. It is a safe place to live. My neighbors new or old are all respectful of each other. When someone is having a party they let us know if it gets to loud to please call us. The grounds have been immaculate even during this hard summer. The gym is being abused by some renters the Apartments have left messages plenty of times to renters to clean up after themselves & to be respectful. That is something that maybe they will have to change in future. But overall we have all sorts of activities here all the time.

Nice Place, a Bit Far South
I have been a resident since February 2011. I like it here. My single biggest complaint, having moved here from smack in the middle of downtown Austin, is that the property is quite a ways south of all the stuff I love to do in Austin (running around Lady Bird Lake, walking distance to fabulous restaurants and bars, proximity to Whole Foods, etc.). You can't live down here without a car. Period. That aside, the community definitely has its plusses: compared to living downtown, it's incredibly quiet; the greenbelt-esque setting provides for glimpses of deer, roadrunners, and all kinds of birds; the staff are pleasant and they go out of their way to create a sense of community; the pool is great (when it's not overrun in the middle of summer--but that's going to be a problem anywhere); the landscaping is lovely; and the rent, while not cheap, is certainly a bargain, considering how new the property is and the size of the units. On the downside: unless you pay for a garage or covered parking spot, parking can be a challenge, especially if you drive a larger car or truck; the property looks lovely, but the construction is cheap (non-existent insulation, non-insulated windows, roof leaks), this property probably has five to seven (max) good years before the extremes of climate down here take their toll on the construction materials (and I can say this, because I was in the apartment business for five years in a previous life); the responsiveness of the maintenance to simple requests is absolutely fabulous, but anything requiring outside contractors seems to have a crippling effect on response time; the porters will clean the grounds, but do not expect them to clean the walkways/common areas of the individuals buildings; and the security gates are only really locked on weekend evenings. The latter bothered me at first, but in sense, it's justified--I work from home, and I can see the front gates from my unit, so I know how much UPS, FedEx, trash collection, carpet cleaning, etc. traffic there is coming and going during the day. To keep the gates locked 24/7 would actually create utter gridlock. On the whole, I like it here, I am 90% I will renew my lease (management is offering some nice incentives for renewal at the moment), in spite of living so far south of town. If you are clean, considerate and nice, consider moving here. If not, I'd rather you looked elsewhere. :)

Love it!
I been here since 2008 and I love living here the staff is outstanding. Maintenance service is outstanding also even if you need them after hours. I live on the 3rd floor I have no issues or complains I will continue to live here. Apartments feel like a home very open kitchen & living room the view is outstanding. I feel really safe living with my 2 daughters here. People are really friendly. Their swimming pool is one of the best I yet seen. Pet friendly only issue is their parking and again that's pretty much in any apartment complex.

A place to call home
When I moved to Austin last year, a friend brought me to this place because one of her friends had lived here and I instantly loved it. Every day I look around me and I am so grateful to be in a beautiful apartment, in a great community. Really, anyone who can live here has much to be thankful for in these times when so many people are struggling. The staff have always treated me well and are prompt (sometimes within minutes even on the weekend!) in responding to my questions, no matter how silly they may seem. When I travel, they are accommodating and even check on my place for me when I ask! I cannot complain about the service. I was actually surprised to see a complaint about the customer service. Are we talking about the same people? The ladies that run this place and the grounds people are great! My only complaints have been with other residents (which is to be expected in any community), and even then, complaint-worthy incidents have been few and far between. The public space (gym, sauna, pool room, kitchen, etc) are always looking great and my visitors are always impressed. The grounds are well-kept - in fact, I sometimes feel guilty about the amount of water it must take to keep the flowers blooming! I've lived in big cities across 3 continents and this is in the top 3 of the best apartment complexes. In service, it's the best. It would be #1 overall if I had hardwood floors throughout...but that's just nitpicking. :-)

Great!
Been here over a year now, it is great, the girls in the front office work really hard to make this into a community, not an apartment complex. Lots of room to run too if you like.

Nice Apartments
The staff and maintenance people are very good when it comes to repairs or needing assistance. The apartment is nice and in price range for South Austin. Pool and gym are conveniently located. Parking is the only setback, it depends on when you come and go whether you can park near your building. There are options to pay more for assigned parking places. Most of the neighbors in building go about their own business so if you are looking to make friends, good luck.

I LOVE this place!
I've lived here for two years already and am about to sign on for another. The community grounds are kept up very well with landscaping, regular powerwashing, and fresh paint. Everyone in my building is friendly and quiet, and typically help to keep things clean. Parking is a little bit of an annoyance, but only an occasional one. The pools are beautiful and usually very clean. There is a decent gym, a sauna, and two tanning booths. Any issues with cleanliness in these areas can be attributed to careless residents. As with any place, the staff can only do so much to keep things nice, and the rest comes from the people who live here. Even still, most of the people I know in the community are great and keep to themselves. I work odd hours and it's common for me to make it home at 1:30-2am or to walk out to my car at 5am, but I've never had any safety issues or been scared. The parking lots are well-lit and there are no creepy residents that I'm aware of. The office staff are great people. I had a lot of financial issues when I first moved in and they were very patient with me. Even when I deserved to be fined a certain amount of money for a bounced check, they found a way to return $100 to me. THAT'S not typical for any business. I feel like a member of a community here rather than a tenant and will always recommend the Villages of Bella Vista to anyone.

LOVE my COMMUNITY!
This is my second year living at the Villages of Bella Vista. The staff is great and I never have an issue with maintenance work being completed (they too are friendly). Most importantly, the community is safe and I never feel afraid being alone. Thank You for making it a great community

In my opinion ...
I have lived in apartments for approximately 11 years. Villages of Bella Vista is by far the best apartment complex I have lived in. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. This also includes maintenance people.

I would recommend
I have been here for several months now and I have been very happy with my experience. I love the layout of the apartment, parking is easy, and the office staff has been very helpful and quick to deal with any requests I have made. The staff also does a really great job of communicating with residents via newsletters and emails. The complex is pretty, quiet, and safe, and the neighbors are very nice. The location is very convenient, and everything you need on a daily basis is close by. I would definately recommend Bella Vista!

Worth waiting for
I had to wait two months to get in, but it was worth waiting for. The office staff is excellent and helpful. The grounds are well kept and the maintenance crew is friendly and prompt, and there is a good followup by the office.

Can't wait to leave...
The apartment itself is gorgeous and perfect-- but the staff is very unaccommodating! They have very poor customer service and the maintenance staff is even worse! I haven't been happy about the way anything has been handled regarding my apartment. Sad because, like I said, it's a good looking place with the perfect layout for me... Oh yeah-- make sure when you tell them you're bringing your pets that they get it in writing, otherwise they'll conveniently replace your carpets before moving in & you won't be allowed to have pets in there for 2 1/2 years!!! That's just one example of bad management & communication of the staff!

My husband and I have lived here for years!! We have had three different apartments in this complex and have no desire to leave any time soon. Most of the neighbors are kind and quiet. The staff here is wonderful and will go out of their way to help you out if you need it.

We love living at Bella Vista
We've lived for 12 months, and just renewed for another 14 months. The staff is always super friendly, and greets up by name whenever they see us around the complex. The maintenance staff is really quick, and will help with whatever problem you have. The office is great! The throw monthly luncheons for the tenants, and will surprise us with breakfast tacos at the gate on our way out in the mornings. They're great about keeping tenants updated on the happenings around the complex, and try to keep everything clean and pretty.

Great value!
We lived at the Villages of Bella Vista for almost 3 years until we moved back to the west coast. Having lived in houses, condos and apartments before we had expectations when we moved to Austin for an environment that was open, green, safe, and beautiful. We viewed several apartment developments and Bella Vista was the first and so we actually compared it with several others (8 or more), and we were sold on Bella Vista because of its natural setting, great location, and gorgeous views. After we moved in we learned we had also chosen a place with great tenants and excellent staff. I believe that Central Texas has the friendliest people but here at BV they are exceptionally friendly. The office personnel are outstanding!! They take personal interest and know you by name. They respond to any request with competence and commitment, following up with a friendly call to confirm that the request had been handled properly. Maintenance support was really fast, friendly, and competent. The only problems that come to mind are the huge trash overload in the receptacles in certain locations, and the occasional unauthorized parking in my rented parking space. The great amenity of this place is the gorgeous views and I think I will forever compare any place I live with the view I had in BV.

Lived here almost 2 years and LOVE it!
I relocated to the Austin area a few years ago after college, initially moved to the West Campus area (25th/San Gabriel) - then after a year there, decided it would be more economical to move a little further South. Best idea! I doubled my square footage, decreased my rent by $250 per month and gained multiple amenties I did not previously have (beautiful HUGE pool(s), w/d on site & connections, very nice 24hr. work out room, computer access, tanning, library etc. you can read it for yourself on their website http://www.villagesofbellavista.com/). The staff has always been wonderful and accomodating - they also send out email Bulletin's that engage the community - support local resident business's, community updates etc. They are very responsive to maintenance requests - and do a wonderful job with upkeep of the grounds. One of my favorite parts of this property is the fact that it is surrounded by greenery - my apartment overlooks a huge greenbelt with downtown Austin in the distance - and my patio is huge (enough to fit a table and 4 chairs). I am a young female and never once felt like my safety was threatened. It is also a very dog-friendly community (with little "waste" stations to avoid "land-mines"...) The best part about Bella Vista - has to be the fact that I can sit on my balcony in the evenings and watch a family of deer walking by - love it! I even have a family of cardinals and red bellied wood peckers living on my patio....very surreal... As far as, traffic goes - I work off of 38 1/2th street and Mopac - during school season it took me about 30 minutes to get to work - in the summer months though, I could be there in 15 min! I actually used to be an apartment locator & real estate agent, so am very familar with properties around town - I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking to relocate. Best of luck! JF

Great Apartment Home Living
After reading the last review I can relate to the frustration with the carpet however the frustration part was caused because of me. I moved out last month but not including the transfer I did when I moved from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom which that I didn't have any issues with carpet. When I moved out at the end of the month when I purchased a house, I was notified that I had damaged my carpet with pet. I was a little bothered. I did pet sit for a week not realizing the dog had been urinating on the carpet. I took them on the offer to review the carpet and it was indeed damaged. At that point I had to take responsibility that I did pet sit without telling the office or paying the proper pet fees/deposits. How could I argue with it. The office goes above and beyond to make this a great place to live. You get emails when packages arrive,e-newsletters, events where you receive food or nifty cups. Maintenance was always on time with repairs. I have to say most places wouldn't even give you a chance to review the carpet. The office is always fair and willing to sit and explain things when your upset. This by far was the best apartment home living I ever had with apartments.

Glad I'm out of there
I lived here for almost three years in two different apartments. BEWARE, you will have to pay for the carpet when you leave, no matter what...they will find a way. Also, I hope nothing really goes wrong in your unit. Our ceiling leaked so bad that it ruined our $2000 sectional...after they "fixed it". All they did was paint over the water damage and said it was fine.

Not so friendly staff, okay apts
I was a resident at this apartment complex for several years. It was convenient but over time, the staff changed so much it was hard to keep up. While some reps were very friendly, the majority of them were not. They were cold, rude and not willing to understand your side of the story. I had several issues with snakes, other animals in the walls, scorpions, etc and not a whole lot was done to help. Maintenance was good, always fixed things on time but the front gates never worked and you had to wear a wrist band to the pool. If you didn't have it on, they scolded you. Most ridiculous rule of all, they would only allow a 2 guest max per resident. If I had family or friends in town, they couldn't all come to the pool. Overall, not really all that happy with this place in the end.
