The staff is very helpful and friendly , it is a great community in a convenient location . I have enjoyed living here so far everything had been wonderful. The neighbors are nice and the parking is close to the department do that is gre?t also .

Office and maintenance staff are very friendly, respond to maintenance issues quick, the lawn is kept up every Wednesday, overall is a great rating apartment and not too bad in price either. The only negative thing I would have to say is that the gate is broken a lot of the time.

Horiiable customer and maintenance service. dont take checks for rent payment anymore and most of the time online portal doesnt work because of heavy traffic in first of the month. i have to try portal several time a day to login into the portal to pay the rent.

Friendly staff, attached garage and w/d in apt is all I can provide a thumbs up on. Lack of attention to detail regarding the grounds: numerous water leaks in sprinkler system causes mosquito havens in grass and puddles on driveways; lack of attention to burned out safety lighting in hallways outside apts. (numerous calls to have bulbs replaced is for naught); electrical outlets in garage for plugging in additional refrigerator (apt version very small) wired poorly (circuit breakers continually trip); website for paying rent has been hit and miss for several months(exceptionally poor ownership approach to resident convenience); patched carpeting in the one we rented was worst I've seen, ever; ceiling fan in living room is a "paid for monthly option"; on-site gym is poorly maintained (stolen free wgts never replaced after several months of reminders, as well as no hand sanitizer containers ever refilled or garbage cans in workout area). Electronic entry gate to complex is consistently "broken". Doggie poop-bag stations went without bags for 2 months fall of 2013. Pools have mold with leaves/dirt constantly. Although this was a short-term lease between house sale and purchase of new, I wish we would have researched comments like these further.… See More>

We were moving from out of town to this apartment and Josh at Colonial Grand Bear Creek was extremely helpful and always willing to answer any questions we had thought out the entire move in process! So far we have nothing but positive things to say about our apartment and the community we've moved to.

BE AWARE!!!!Look GRAND from the outside BUT......I have waited long enough to write this review. Yes, I should have warned more people not to waste their hard earned money for this high-rent apartment. Anyways, I only lived there for a short time due to following reasons. (1) UNFRIENDLY and UNPROFESSIONAL staff: they never admitted any mistakes. ----------------------. Phone calls never answered and transferred straight to voice mails anytime you have any problems with the apartments. They would ignore calls because they have caller IDs. I just happened to be there a couple of times to pick up my packages. Wow!!! THREE TIMES!!!(2) THIN wall: the wall here is way too thin that when neighbors are having intercourse, you can 100% sure hear them every time it happens. (3) WORMS: they are on the carpets in the bedrooms and living rooms.I wish I could have taken some pictures to prove.

Everything is great but rent is a bit high, sometimes the trash gets accumulated in the container and the gate seems to be always broken and They just cant seem to fix it. The office staff could be a bit more friendly and not rush all of the time..

I've enjoyed living at this residence because it is a nice and quiet community. The office and maintenance staff are very nice and helpful. The apartment is nice and spacious and all the neighbors are friendly and courteous. The pool and fitness center areas are also very nice.

this place is trash and so is the office staff and management. i have met one person that was a maintenance man that was actually nice and waves when he sees me and stops to talk when he isn't to busy doing everyone else's job. you WILL get treated like trash by this people. All they want is as much money as they can take from you. its funny how all the good reviews are all so close together and then you see nothing but hate for this place.

good overall the 1 trash can at the front doesn't work it is an eyesore most of the time. more cans around the property could be a pain I understand however it wouldn't look like a dump right when you drive in. the other gates around the property should be operating.

Colonial Grand @ Bear Creek has been an awesome place to live. I just renewed my lease for another year. I love the pools in the summer time, we have met some really great people and have a blast. My apartment is really nice I love everything its been great. The recent management change has been pretty good, I seem to like them better than the last one. The trash has been really good lately too! The maintenance guys pick up the grounds and do the trash compactor mon-fri so on weekends it gets pretty full, however that is due to pure laziness of residents just leaving tons of bags and not compacting the trash. Anyways its a great place i would recomend it to anyone, tons of parking, spacious floorplans, nice staff and really beautiful property (it's always well maintained). I've lived at a lot of apartments and this one is a place I will most likely stay for a while until I find a house. Anyways good luck on your searches!

Our move in experience at Colonial Grand at Bear Creek was amazing! Amy was a sweetheart and patiently answered every question and bent over backwards to help us with any issues we had. The one bedroom we are renting is adorable! Huge windows allow a ton of sunlight in, the rooms are spacious, and we love the layout. The kitchen could use an upgrade, but it was a clean and came with a washer and dryer already installed (saved us so much money!). There were just a few cleaning and maintenance issues, but they responded the next day after I put in the request! The grounds are very well kept and any lighting or gate issues handled promptly making the place feel very safe. Their gate was broken the day we came to check out the apartment, but within the next few days it was back running again. It wasn't like that at a few other places we visited... The area is as quite as you can expect an apartment complex to be- a few dogs bark now and again, but for the most part there isn't any bothersome noises. It's been a positive experience. I liked the staff.very helpful when I had problems. I don't like the trash collection room. There's only 1 being used even though there are many available. It makes the complex look dirty and abandoned. Please fix it.

First, I do not work here! Everyone thinking that a good review has to be posted by an employee is asinine. I moved here in May 2012. I have never seen a roach. Ever. Yes, there is a bit of an ant problem, but it's summer in Texas and I see the staff and lawn care guys out treating for it all the time. My hot water heater blew around 8pm one night and flooded out the laundry room and maintenance was here within 15 minutes. A pipe to the toilet broke and they were here in about the same amount of time. I did not have an icemaker after I moved in. Put in a request and had one the next day. I have seen the staff completely ignore the phone. But, many times it's because they're with a resident or potential resident. To make that person wait in order to answer the phone would be rude. That's what voicemail is for. The office staff changes a lot but everyone I've ever dealt with has been pleasant and helpful. I just moved in 2 weeks ago and it has been a nightmare!! I mean literally! I have put in work requests after work requests with no/minimal response. There were ants in my apartment the day I moved in and the problem continues. I even offered to pay for an exterminator myself. An exterminator finally came out a few days ago so hopefully that problem gets better. There are so many wasp nests around that I had to remove myself. The insulation is terrible. I can see light coming in around my front door. The counter tops are hideous with stains and so are the tubs and sinks. The sink in my second bathroom is broken. When you run the dishwasher the water sprays out of the top of the sink. Today has been the last straw!! After putting in a work request about a leak underneath my sink 2 weeks ago and was told it was not a maintenance emergency, that I would have to wait, it is now two weeks later and there is water on the kitchen floor. I have lived here for 10 months, and this place is infested with roaches. I have yet to see the pest control go to use since I've moved in, something that us as tenants pay for!!! Anyone else have/had roach problems?

Declined my application for no reason and took my $30.00 app fee. Never had this happen in 20 years of living in apartments. There was no basis for this. The office staff took it personally when I voiced my opinion about the matter. Stay away from this place. Very unprofessional and unfair.

Stay away from anything managed by Colonial Properties...they will take your money and ripe you off...all of their properties are run like slumlords. If you move any their properties you will be faced with headaches. In their sister property Shoal Creek someone was Murdered that's how safe they keep the properties. They do nothing for these complexes but take your money...If you have problems and they don't fix them within a reasonable time. You can sue them. It's the Law..under Property Code. You can file a complaint with the city that you live in or call the Building Code of your city. As a tenant you have rights, you don't have to continue to live in these conditions. I'm sure this is not what you pay your monies for. *****CLASS ACTION SUIT*******Make them pay you for your suffering.

I loved the apartments when I looked at them and now after living here for a week I will never sign a lease with them again. For starters the office staff is the worst. The most unprofessional people I have ever had an encounter with and so rude. Not only is the staff on the property a train wreck. I tried calling corporate and talking to the office managers about how horrible their staff is. I got no help or apologies not even mentioning the garbage they try to feed you as far as excuses go. The day I signed my lease was absolutely horrible. All the paper work was messed up on their part and they weren't even trying to help. It's been about a week since I put in a maintenance order and it is not fixed yet something so little as a plug outlet being fixed. I'm honestly worried that if their is an emergency it wouldn't be looked at either. I strongly suggest you find a better place to move into. My husband and I got a really great rate when we first moved in. In the summertime they have great specials. Now there rates jumped from $895 to $1,045 so now I have to moved. The staff at the front office sucks. Every month they overcharge my account. Every month I have to email ---- or ------- to adjust off fees. ------- fixes the problem faster than ----. I have put in about 10 different maintenance requests good job about coming to your apartment but bad job fixing the problem. I stay on the first floor and I can hear my neighbors above me walking 3 and 4 am in the morning. But I am not tripping about that part because they have to work. My husband is a lite sleeper so he gets upset sometime. (But they are really nice people) I love the pool and fitness rooms never closes and the neighbors are friendly.
