Bad times for Milano
When I first moved in 3 years ago this place was amazing. Great staff, great people living here. The pool was fun back then and the mgmt did all they could for you. That was a long time ago (does anyone remember Abbie?). Ever since, Milano has gotten worse and worse until now it has hit rock bottom (I hope). The management is horrible. The posts about office ----Ā“s are accurate. I am really sorry to say that I would never recomment Milano in the present condition. Very sad. Like I said, 2 or 3 years ago Milano was GREAT.

WORST APARTMENT EXPERIENCE EVER!
LetĀ“s start with the office staff, they suck. We tried to buy a house they told us in order to get out of the lease it would be over $9,000. If we put in our 60 doy notice our rent would then go up to market rent and if they did not lease our apartment by the time we moved out then we would still have to pay for it. Yes they can do that, but does anybody, NO. I lease apartments in Euless and I have also leased in Bedford. Niether complex ever treated people the way they do.

Can we say DOG POOP. And Gross

Also do they even have a maintenance staff. Nothing has ever been fixed.

Pest Control. We have been taken over by ANTS and WATER BUGS!!

Thank goodness our house will be finished being built in 3 months then we no longer will have to live at MILANO!

By the way. People donĀ“t deserve to be treated like crap. There are plentty of apartment communites who are looking for wonderful people.

DO NOT LIVE HERE
Management:
My husband and I have lived here for 18 months and will be moving out at the end of our lease for no other reason than the new management team. They are unfriendly, rude, uncompromising and some seem to be on a power trip. They will not work with you on anything. You have a complaint? Tough. They tell you it happens this way at every apartment complex. You miss paying rent by a day for whatever reason (emergencies, holidays)? Tough. Pay the market value plus the late fee. I have never noticed a management change until this last one. It is not worth the extremely low rates they will give you to sucker you into living here. They will do whatever it takes to get you here, but believe me, you get what you pay for. Do not expect to be treated as a respected tenant here. It doesnĀ“t happen.
Personal experience:
In all the time weĀ“ve lived here, we have never once been late on our rent payment. Last month, however, there was a holiday and we didnĀ“t pay on the first. Our fault, yes, we should have put it in the drop box but were counting on the usual 3ā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Four Year Review - POOR
I have lived at Milano for 44 months; at end of this final lease it will have been 48 LONG MONTHS. I too was suckered into thinking this place was a bargain. I drove by it during my apt. searches because I thought I couldnāt afford it. My original lease was for 18 months at a very low rate. The next one was only $15 higher. This place has frustrated me the entire time, but I kept thinking it would get better and I didnāt want the hassle of moving. Now I cannot wait to get out and I am kicking myself for not leaving a couple years ago. Here is my review of MILANO APTS:

Management: Changes every 9 to 12 months. This causes many inconsistencies in communication, rules, fees, maintenance requests etc. Community events are RARE here. The office does not stick to their posted hours. They often close early or take extended breaks in the day making it difficult to pick up packages left by USPS or UPS. On a few occasions the UPS man could not leave packages because the office was closed whileā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Bad Experience to say the least
I have lived in Milano Apartment now for Appx 6 months. When I first saw them, I thought, they would be out of my price range, much to my surprise they werenĀ“t. I was also concerned that they would not allow me to bring my large breed dog, however, they were willing to do anything to get me in there and take my money. I was offered a fantastic deal when I moved in, a substantial amount off of my first monthĀ“s rent, and several months off of my 12 month lease. However, I later learned why. The apartments although they are nice on the outside are very cheap on the inside, the carpet in my unit was very stained and the unit was not cleaned as you would expect for a move-in. However, for the most part the manegement was nice when I went in to pick-up packages and such. However, the policies of the management company are very rigid, there is no room for error. On my second monthĀ“s rent I went into the office at about 9:30 to pay my rent, it was a monday, the office is closedā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Stay away- complete incompetence
The management at Milano is completely incompetent. I think this is a great lesson in what happens when someone with no education or legal knowledge is put in a situation where they think they have authority. As other posters have mentioned, the management has left notices on our door threatening to assess late fees, take away specials, etc. ā basically, to change the terms of the contract without the acknowledge or approval of the contractee. I really doubt the employees here could spell contract law let alone have any education in it. I can honestly say that if I am ever in a situation where I am charged fees that I did not previously agree to in writing; I will take this apartment complex to court.

Another example of the managementās incompetence is their lack of understanding of when bills are due. We received our water bills with a due date of 8/28/03. On 8/18/03 we received a late notice. I called and they stated it was an error and to ignore the notice. On 8/22/03 we received another late notice this time stating āthis is not the first notice thatā¦Ā See More>anonymous

An Honest, Unemotional Opinion.
I have lived at Milano almost two years. It is true that the original office staff has moved on, one can only guess why.

Office staff: Yes, the new management seems to be hard-core with late rent. While I did not like the threat of being charged a wad of cash for being one hour late, I have never been late. The staff is pretty clueless if you have a package. They do not ensure you are notified. In truth I have not had a lot of interaction with the staff. They do let me come in and make all the copies I want. When I renewed my lease last time they only raised it ten bucks, but then again that was under the old management. In my two years they have never messed up my account.

Maintenance: It is true that the gates are not working more often than they are working. The fitness room is slowly getting depleted. When things get broke or stolen from it, it is not replaced. Many of the sprinkler heads are broken and I have noticed they areā¦Ā See More>anonymous

New Management is Horrible
Management changed in February. Evreything was going fine until the whole office staff left in July. Paula and Terri were the only good thing left at this place. Since they left the new office staff apparently thinks evreyone is stupid because they have been sending out notes threatening to increase fees and take away specials. Anyone who does not know they CANNOT do that may actually pay these fees.

Of course, they have fixed the broken gates- but guess what- the back gates were still left open. Then out of nowhere- they wired the back gate shut and you cannot enter or leave by that gate. Then to top it all off- they cannot enter your name and phone number into the gate system! No one can get in the apartment complex by calling your number- so unless you want to go down and let your guests in at the gate- you will have no visitors. If you cannot fix it correctly- just leave them broken.

The TVĀ“s and radio were stolen from the fitness center- along with some free weights. No one is going to replace them- yet they wantā¦Ā See More>anonymous

DonĀ“t let them fool you!
This place is horrible!! You know something is wrong when you have a complete staff change voluntarily. The new staff even told a few people that things would really change. Well, they did! For the worse! They sent out a letter stating that if you are one day late, not only do you owe the $30 late fee, but also the special that you got for that month. They canĀ“t even take care of the property, but now they want there residents to pay even more money. Talk about a huge rip off. Safety is another issue. There have been a lot of car brake- ins since I have lived here. Not only that, but the fitness center had the televisions stolen out of it. Believe me, they will do anything they can to make this place sound great and they will even go as far as blaming the previous staff who was at least friendly.

Do not rent here !!!
I moved here in 2001 thinking this was an upscale property with security and a good clientel. This was the case for a while but then anyone with good credit moved out into houses. The 4 month free rent deals has brought people into the complex that would normally rent elsewhere.

New management have just taken over and are now changing the rules using the TAA contract that removes all rights from the renter.
Yesterday a note was left on the door advising that effective August 1st if rent is not paid by the first of the month residents will be responsible for entire rent and not receive any discounts and specials per their TAA lease. I feel sorry for any American Airlines employees here who after being laid off are about to get screwed by their landlord.

Today a note was on the door stating that any water bill payments not received by 24th July by 9:00 am would be subject to an additional $20 late fee. Since my water bill is usually around $6 I think the owners must have owned a pawn shop to apply such penal rates. Everyone will be caught with this one as the notices were placedā¦Ā See More>austinandie

READ THIS
After reading all other reviews and considering what had been said I decided to take my time to write a review. I have lived at Milano for over a year now and have had nothing but a great experience. It seems to me that with all of these negative reviews there has to be some truth to it, but of course these people arenĀ“t going to tell the other side of the story, either they werenĀ“t abiding by community rules or when the office staff has gone out of their way to deal with issues. I read some of this stuff about noise complaints and these kinds of issues and anyone with half a brain knows that these are police issues because management canĀ“t write tickets for noise violations last time I checked.
Another thing no one states here is that management doesnĀ“t choose what to fix, that is up to the owner on what they want to do. Management is just as frustrated as residents with things not working.
All in all I write this to say that this is a great place to live and management does all they can do to accomadate youā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Apartments are nice, staff is friendly and helpful
I have lived at the Milanos since Febuary and have no complaints. When I need something from the office, the staff is more than willing to assist. I called with noise comlpaint one time, and the office handled it promptly. Also had a maintenance emergency and the crew was there in less than an hour on a Sunday. The apartment is huge and I am probably paying less than I should. They have very good deals and it is a pleasure living there.

Be afraid...be VERY afraid.....
Like most people using this service, I have to agree that the office staff of the Milano apartments is the WORST that I have ever encountered. They had a Fed Ex package marked "urgent overnight" in the office and never notified me. If I had not contacted the sender, heaven only knows when I would have received my package. They called and told me that I would have to move to another unit (apparently, my downstairs neighbor had complained several times and they never notified me). I called and asked what the problem was and was told, "HeĀ“s just an ---, complaining all the time. We told him that it was Ā“part of apartment livingĀ“ but he kept complaining so we had to say that in front of him". (Makes me wonder what they told my neighbor). Any time I complained about a stereo or other loud noise, I was told to call the police, the apartment office wasnĀ“t the one to handle that.

When I moved in, one employee promised me that I could avoid certain charges. Of course, when I moved in, he no longer worked there and they had no recordā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Value your money, avoid this place!!!!!!!!
An apartment complex should be willing to work with the leasee as it benefits both parties, The MILANO APARTMENT staff is the worst, they are careless in posting checks to the bank in a timely manner, if you have a problem with a check or rent they wait a month before contacting you, in result, this lets fees occur and one month of rent can very eaisily amount well into the 1300Ā“s.
When I asked the staff for the apartmentĀ“s owners name or incorporation address they told me they didnĀ“t have it. The orginal signed lease was changed with out my approval or even notification.
they require 60 days termination of lease, and even when given 60 the staff failed to acknowledge it as acceptable termination.

This is a complex that should not be rented or even thought about for a home, I highly recommend that you look elsewhere for an apartment and do your RESEARCH!

DO NOT EVER RENT HERE!!!!! -- HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
I lived at Milano Apartment for 3 1/2 years and was never happy with the staff at Milano Apartment complex. I lived there too long but mainly that was due to the expense it would have cost me to move into another apartment. If you do plan to move out you also have to give 60 days notice.

The management at Milano is very RUDE and they do not care at all about their tenants.

They lost a package of mine once and said it was not their problem. They said, āWe do you a service by accepting packages on your behalf." How competent is that? WHATEVER! Also, they never once came in to change the air conditioner filter in the apartment and never cleaned the carpets the whole 3 years we were residents. The fitness center was okay, and a lot of the times the equipment was broken. The gates never worked!!!!!! Once the gates were broken the Euless police department was looking for a man on the run that ended up in Milano apartment complex at 3:00 a.m.ā¦Ā See More>anonymous

DonĀ“t ever rent here. TheyĀ“ll milk you for every dime you have and WILL NOT work with you at all. No conscience or compassion for anyone. The apartments are nice, but they arenĀ“t worth the money and headache. Nothing gets fixed and they throw up their hands at all problems. Quality Apartments, but...
For the money you pay, Milano apartments are spacious and extremely well laid-out. The apartments and property are attractive and generally well maintained. I was able to get a great deal on the floorplan IĀ“m currently living in; well below market value for the apartment. Maintenance usually responds within a week for minor issues, and within 24 hours for major breakages. The major problems come in dealing with other residents and management staff.

Because of the attached garages that most of their apartments have, several people near mine like to have tailgate parties until late in the evening. Management is powerless to stop people from making noise, and refuse to even try. They insist that you take up any noise concerns with the Euless police. You will also have to deal with being underneath the flight pattern for aircraft entering and exiting DFW airport, which gets noisy. As long as you have the windows closed youĀ“ll hardly notice the sound, but when you open them in the Spring and Fall forget about watching TV or listening to the radio. ItĀ“s not something Milano can help, but it is something toā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Rude, Uncaring Management
The grounds are generally nice, although the pools are always nasty. The maintenance guys love mowing the grass and weed-eating at 7am on Saturdays and Sundays. The water bill is very high, always over $40. Sometimes they bill us twice. I have never in my life seen ruder, less competent office managers. When someone parked their car in front of our garage for 3 days, they told us it was our problem, not theirs. But when I parked my motorcycle right next to an empty parking lot, they threatened to tow it. TheyĀ“ve lost several of our packages. One was missing for 2 weeks before they found it. Everytime I go in there for anything, their first response is to give dirty looks and talk down to you. They start off rude and it goes downhill from there. IĀ“ve had maintenance come in 4 times to fix a leak in the laundry room, but all they do is paint over the water damage. They lied to us about the size of our garage and the layout of the apartment when we moved in, then denied it and called us liars afterwards.

In any other business, these people would have been firedā¦Ā See More>anonymous

horrible management
I love my apt, but the management is horrible, a pain to deal with. They are very rude, they have no phone ettiquite, they basically couldnĀ“t care less. I have been there a year and the gates are always broken, they never got all of my requests fixed when I moved in. My water bill is always wrong and I have to call and complain every month about it. The apartment its self is beautiful though. It would be a great place for you if you can handle the office staff.

Avoid Milano like the plague
I was a 2 1/2 year resident. The first year, they had great managment. That changed just after. They stole the car cover off my second car and were going to tow it. Even after I said it was mine and the previous mgmt said it was fine the way it was. Complaints were never addressed. Once I was even told to " Live with it, itĀ“s part of apartment living". And thatĀ“s a quote too! This was when a neighbor was dumping his ash tray on my new truck from his balcony above. They never fixed any of my maint. problems after repeated calls. Then claim they show no record of me calling. Lastly... their managment and office personel have no idea how to read a lease contract and will try their hardest to give you a hard time for leaving, no matter how well YOU handle it and how right you are. This is even after having a professional legal counsel review it. Their managment is very very rude in any circumstance. Except for the 1st of the month when rent is due. Very Nice
I moved in the apts in August and really love my apt. The floorplan is spacious and I have a great patio and my garage is great!

It is near the airport, so with the windows open you will hear planes-the noise level is dependent on which runway they are using. However, when they the windows are closed, I hear nothing. They are built well.
Management has been very nice- and I see them all the time bacause I have a lot of packages delivered to the office. The grounds are very pretty and well kept. Maintenance is very friendly- they wave- I have not had to call them for anything.

The only problems I can tell are listed:

The gates have been broken since I moved in. I hope I do not come home one day and find them closed, because none of my friends would be able to get in- management has not put my phone number in the gate because they are "broken". Better than most!!
I moved in around the end of January of 2002. The management was nice moving in but not so on the friendly side when you go to the office. I havenĀ“t had a problem getting things fixed they fix sameday to next day depending when I would let them know. Carpet wasnĀ“t replaced when I moved in so has stains even after the cleaned it before I moved in. Like others said gates are never working and weight room leaves a lot to be desired. The apartments themselves are great and the people who live in them are real nice to. So if they would fix the gates lower the prices a tad and were a little more customer friendly then this place would be great.
