My husband child and I have lived here for a while. My only complaint is the people above me blare music until 6am. Other than that the ladies in the office are super sweet...so is Wes, the manager. My husband had told Wes that he was leaving for training for a month and every time I saw Wes he would ask how my husband was, how my daughter and I were holding up. The maintenance men are very helpful and friendly. Once my car died and one took time out of their work schedule to help me jump my car. That is the kind of people who work here. Its the small things like that I believe makes this place stand out. We just got the ability to have animals in the apartment. WE don't have one, however I do like the proactive approach of putting waste bags out for those with dogs. I am not sure how to end this....so END

Sorry to leave - moved to Oklahoma to attend graduate school. Lived here for close to 3 years and never had any problems with the management or staff. Grounds were always immaculate and any issues within the apartment were taken care of immediately. Wish I could have stayed in the area but graduate school in Oklahoma was a God Send.

I love the staff here at Forest View! I moved in a year and a half ago. Kristen was our leasing agent at the time. She was always on top of everything and keeping us informed about our apartment application. Now, I've had the great please of seeing Wesley and Brenda and Ashley in the office. They really care about the quality of living and always want to help. I have had a few maintenance matters that needed attention and as soon as I told anyone in the office, the maintenance man was there as soon as possible!! I feel very well taken care of and it has made this a home. Thank you. Anyone would be lucky to live here with this amazing staff as your support.

These Apartments started off really good. With new management I have seen the staff start to "forget" stuff more and more. I have told them multiple times about the people above me being so loud they wake up my child well past her bed time. The have lost checks, forgotten I have asked them to come fix something. I stopped going in there due to the attitude of the ladies in there. However, if you never go into the office, never need anything from them and don't have people who are super loud around you this place is great. The park at the apartments needs some TLC but there are plenty of other parks in walking distance. The neighbors are kind. And will become part of your extended family. So if you are looking for a place that the staff are kind of on the rude side or if you like to be ignored by them this is the place for you.

I love living here. The grounds are really pretty. The staff in the office is very friendly and always willing to help. The new manager is having parties that are fun. The maintenance guys are top notch and quickly take care of anything I need. I've lived in several apartments over the years, and this is my favorite.

The apartments themselves are ok, the staff is quite friendly and nice to deal with, if a bit ineffective at resolving any issues. This is the noisiest place I could imagine living in, short of living above a 24/7 dance club. The walls are so thin I can actually hear my neighbour snoring through my bedroom wall. All three apartments next to mine, the one on the kitchen wall side, the bedroom side, and below me all have subwoofer speakers that are blasting at all hours of the day and well into the night and early morning like they're competing at a game of who can be the loudest in the neighbourhood. It states in the lease under resident conduct that residents will not be loud, obnoxious, or disorderly yet the staff have let this behaviour continue for many months.

While I support charitable organizations, I do not believe that the clothing collection dumpster which was recently set up in front of Building 1 is appropriate in a residential setting. I cannot imagine anyone thinking that it would be an attractive addition to their front yard.

We love living here! We feel completely safe and happy and like we can really see our lives take shape at Forest View. It does not feel like an apartment, but more like a home, and that is just what we need. Ashley was extremely helpful and absolutely fantastic! She is so nice, as is the rest of the staff in the main office. The maintenance guy's do the best that they can and they do a good job when they do get to your apartment to work on whatever may need to be worked on. Bottom line is that we feel very comfortable and would recommend Forest View Apartments to anyone.

I have lived at Forest View for 2 years now and I love living here!!! The office staff is exceptional and they make me feel like part of the family! The grounds are always kept nice and clean and when I have any issue of any kind....it's taken care of very quickly! Most importantly...my son and I feel SAFE! I would recommend to anyone looking for a NICE apartment complex to live in and stay in The Woodlands, which is a great community, as well....to come live HERE at Forest View! ~Michelle Browning & Stefan Robinson :-)

We checked out Forest View after seeing all the great reviews and the amazing price. The staff was sooo helpful. I felt like a person and not money. Unfortunately, something most sites don't list is that they are a low income based. I make just over the amount. However, they were very helpful in suggesting other apartments and even gave me the card of a real estate locator that could help me find an apartment for free. I am going to see if there is anything I can do to live there as I loved it so much. It felt homey and safe.

This is by far the best apartment I have ever lived in. It is spacious, a quiet complex, I always have parking, the staff is very professional, I have never seen a bug in my apartment, and any maintenance problem is conducted in a timely fashion. I don't have any complaints. I would live here forever if I could...most people do.

I have only lived at Forest View for a short time, but I have been nothing less than impressed with the service of the office staff. Ashley and the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure my family and I were in our new home for the holidays! Forest View apartments are very nice, affordable, and are located in the heart of The Woodlands; just minutes from Market Street, the Woodlands Mall, the Cynthia Woods Pavilion and so much more!! There are several local parks within walking distance and countless FREE activities in the local area. If you're looking, don't miss the opportunity to check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Happy New Year! Its a new year here at Forest View Apartment and it keeps getting better. I love the location in the Woodlands. There are so much things to do. The trees on property helps with your privacy and gives the community great character. In the winter the leaves fall but there are maintenance staff blowing the leaves out of the walkways. This community is a great value and cost almost half as much as other surrounding properties. The staff is warm and friendly and knows everyone by name. I never had any issues with the service I receive. Being an older property (20+ years) I have come to expect certain small things needing service in my apartment. All issues I had were fixed in a timely manner and the maintenance staff take responsibility in making sure you are happy before they leave. This is a great property and I can see why there is a waiting list. The apartment community stays full. This is a great community to live in and I plan on continuing to stay here and call this place home.

This is a nice place to live in The woodlands! The staff are Awesome and polite! Shopping area just walking distance. The only thing that I hate about The woodlands is that you MUST have a vehicle to get around (NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION). As far as Forest View apartments, the property is well kept and clean. If you have any issues with your unit they address it right away and send you confirmation thur email to let you know that problem was solve. I must warn you, PLEASE PAY YOUR RENT ON TIME! Rent is due on the 1st but they give you to the 3rd to pay. If your rent is not paid by the 3rd they will file an eviction on or after the 15th of that month! The property manager has no choice due to Venterra Realty policy. Other then that this is a GREAT place to raise your kids and an place to call home...XOXO!

I have lived at Forestview Apartments since 2006 and love it. The grounds are kept neat and clean. You are not far from a shopping center with the convenience of walking if you would like to for exercise. The office staff is so very helpful and maintenance is right there when you call and they do an excellent job! I enjoy the quietness that is provided and the sense of safety. Forestview also coordinates events for the residence and they always keep it so all ages can be involved. If you should have a question regarding your dwelling there is always some there to get an answer for you. I have check out some of the other apartments prior to moving here and found that this was best and I have not regreted moving here and as you can tell will be for a while. So if you are looking for a apartment with great amenities here at Forestview they make you feel at home.

Very Nice
I just moved into this complex in April of this year and I love it here. Although there have been some unfortunate break-ins recently, the staff was always very quick to inform all of the tenants about them and hired additional officers to patrol the property. The staff is super friendly and they are quick to deal with noisy or messy neighbor complaints. Apartments are provided with pest control (every 3 months) and regular a/c filter changes. The property is always nice looking from the outside and the grounds are always well kept. The only complaint I have is the noise level if you live on the side facing the post office. The employees there are sometimes noisy and you can hear the large trucks coming and going all the time. Other than that I can say that I'm very glad to have chosen this place as my home.

Too good to be true? Nope, it's true.
Many apartment dwellers living in The Woodlands, Texas can say they are within walking distance of a grocery store, a Starbucks, a post office and countless fast food eateries. Even more can say they live right along a paved trail that connects to the miles upon miles of trails connected throughout the city. The vast majority can say they are a five minute (or less) drive to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, the second-most heavily used amphitheater in the entire world. What most people cannot say, however, is that they have all of this and pay less than $800 a month for a two bedroom apartment. I have been living at Forest View Apartments for just over three months now and it has been nothing short of an amazing experience. Having chosen to live in a top-floor unit, I have to deal with the higher electric bill in the summer as well as going up three flights of stairs, but the vaulted ceiling makes it well worth it. My patio has a beautiful view of trees and faces the "courtyard", or inner area of the complex where the pool is located. During the summer it got a little loud during the day with all the kids being out of school and swimming, but now I only hear children on the weekends (which doesn't bother me). The patio sizes differ between which size unit you occupy, but all are very large, covered, and (if you're on the second of third floor) very private. They are L-Shaped and turn a corner that outlines your unit. Again, they are very large for an apartment patio. I have three chairs on mine, as well as a small table to put drinks on. I could easily fit more. Maintenance is top notch. You always hear the horror stories from people about apartment living and maintenance issues, but not here. My AC has went out numerous times (probably because I keep it at 65), and (as long as I call during the DAY) each time the problem is fixed within half an hour of calling the front office. The staff has been wonderful from the moment they returned my call in reference to my interest of seeing a unit. Doris in particular is such a warm and polite woman that you just want to hug her! I had a very specific request for my apartment: two bedrooms, facing the inside of the complex, top floor, corner unit. I was told it might be months before I got a phone call, but I got one within two weeks. The only downside is that I was given a very limited amount of time to get the funds to move together, but that's how it is at any complex. I have an elderly couple below me who never make a peep. There is a young couple next door to me who get in drunken arguments every now and then, but this is a once-or-twice-a-month occurrence that I don't bother reporting to the staff. Being in a corner unit, I share only one side with neighbors and it's a side that isn't bothersome. The only walls we share are a small portion of the kitchen, the bathrooms, the closets and the dining room. The master bedroom shares a wall with the breezeway which is never noisy and every other side of the unit is not shared at all! The parking lot is plentiful and the lack of assigned parking is a godsend. I've had issues with "assigned parking" in the past, so it was a relief to see that not only does this not exist at Forest View, but there appears to be nearly double the amount of spots actually needed for the residents. This means that when you have visitors, they shouldn't have any problems whatsoever finding a place to park the car. There are two entrances to the property. The first is the main entrance, which is right off of South Panther Creek Drive, maybe 10 seconds down from Woodlands Parkway. This makes getting the freeway very quick and simple. The second entrance (which I didn't even know about until several weeks after moving in) is on the east side of the complex and is off of Gosling. The section of Gosling that it connects to is one-way only, forcing you to turn right towards Woodlands Parkway. However, if you are a student needing to go to Lonestar College or are looking for a quick route to Walmart, the Gosling side makes it so much easier. Just turn right out of the complex onto Gosling, and stay on that road until it ends at College Park Drive/242. It should be noted, however, that the same good things might not be able to be said about the "other" side of the complex. I was told while touring the property prior to the lease signing that the complex is "separated". The west side, where I live, is almost entirely occupied by single people and young or elderly couples. There are very few children on this side. The east side, however, is where you'll find the families. This is more evident if you take the trail to that side of the complex. It is louder and the sidewalks are sometimes covered with chalk drawings. Even still, it never seems out of control on that end. In fact, I'd call it pretty tame. The only cons I can come up with are: -Pool Hours need to be more strongly enforced. I'm very rarely bothered by this, but sometimes I'll go out on my patio to smoke at 1AM and there will be teenagers hanging out there (although I must admit, I enjoy shining laser pointers at them from my dark patio). -I was told maintenance was 24-hours. While maintenance has been great (as mentioned above), there was one instance where my AC went out and I didn't notice until I got home from work at 11PM. I called to have it repaired and was told maintenance was only dispatched for "emergencies". I think having no AC in the summer IS an emergency, especially when it's STILL in the 90s overnight. -Don't be late on your rent. As with most apartment complexes, the staff here has little say on cutting you some slack as they are owned by an outside company. -If you have a flat tire or expired tags, be prepared to get tow-warnings stuck on your windshield. This property likes to maintain the "Woodlands Look". -While space in the parking lot is ample, it is only well-lit in certain areas. I have yet to hear of any crimes taking place, but it's still worth noting. -Entergy is the sole electric provider for this area and your choices for cable and internet are limited (AT&T or Comcast....I recommend AT&T, especially if you use them for your wireless plan. Great bundle deals!) -The mail man comes at an awkward time if you are someone who works in the evenings. I usually see him doing the mail around 2PM, and he takes his time). -Be prepared to pay a hefty deposit if you don't have good credit or lack leasing history. Both me and my partner had no documented leasing history but I have decent credit and he has excellent credit, so we had no additional deposit after the $250 minimum that everyone must pay for that particular unit. I have a neighbor with bad credit and no leasing history who paid another $700 on top of the $250. Ouch! -Waiting on the type of unit you want can take quite some time (I was lucky), but make sure you have enough money set aside to cover whatever deposit you end up having plus the first months rent. Once they call you, they give you very little time to come up with the cash and sign the lease (we were given a few days). Not to mention, you wont even know how much your deposit is until after your unit becomes available. -There is a minimum income requirement you must meet (which varies per unit and how many people will be on the lease) as there is with any complex, but there is also a maximum. If you want a one bedroom, you might make too much and only be eligible for a two bedroom. -When you do your walk-through on move-in day, CHECK THE FLOORS FOR CREAKS if you are on an upper-level unit! I wish I had done this. There is one small section of floor (at the entrance to the guest bedroom) that creaks like crazy when you walk over it. The elderly couple below me gets very unhappy sometimes. -Every unit has a porch light at the front door that is not controlled by the resident (it is not using YOUR electricity, though). It comes on at sundown every night. While this makes the overall appearance of the complex look safe and uniform at night, this light can get annoying if you have a master bedroom that has its window on the same wall as that light. Thank goodness for blackout curtains. The Pros, of course, are: -Beautiful area, almost always quiet (on the West side of the complex, at least). -Two very convenient entrances/exits that make getting to the freeway or 242 simple, which is great when you live in such a confusing place as The Woodlands. -Probably one of the cheapest places you'll find in The Woodlands. It should be noted that this complex and it's floorplans as well as the exterior are identical to that of "Aldens Landing", a complex at College Park & Gosling, which is...go figure...$300 more a month and rated far lower than Forest View. -Like concerts? The Pavilion is five minutes away. Literally. -Located in Panther Village, a classic and beautiful area of The Woodlands, with trails that run straight through the complex and connect to the other trails of the city, including to the Mall. -As long as the issue is during the day, Maintenance is outstanding. -No Pets. This may be a con to you, but if you're someone who would rather not listen to a yelping dog outside on someones patio or in your neighbors house, this is awesome. I do, however, hear the occasional dog barking late at night, but I don't know if this is from a rule breaker on the other side of the property or from the complex next door to Forest View. -9 Feet high, vaulted ceilings for those who choose to endure the higher electric bill and lengthy stair climbing to the third floor. -Tall bay windows in every living room that offer an especially pretty view if you are in an upper-level unit and not facing a parking lot. -Huge patio space! -Washer & Dryer connections and a special offer from a company that works with Forest View (you can rent a washer and dryer for $30/month). -Dishwasher, Refrigerator/Freezer and an Oven/Stove are included in every unit and up-to-date. -No water bill, and excellent water pressure. -Walk in closets with lots of space and built-in shelves. -Carpet is replaced every one to two years (at least that's what I was told). -As mentioned earlier, not all of the parking lot is well-lit. However, the area within the complex itself is very well lit with old-fashioned street lights. And finally, some tips: -Once again, be prepared to receive that call that the unit you want is coming available. Despite how certain you might be on your positive leasing history or good credit, I would recommend having two and a half times the rent said aside. If you don't come up with the cash they ask for within a timely (and I mean TIMELY) manner, they'll put you back to the bottom of the waiting list and move on to the next applicant. -If you are in anything other than a first floor unit, I highly recommend asking the staff about the washer and dryer rentals. It's only $30 a month and it beats having to dig for quarters and haul your laundry up and down the stairs. -Third floor dwellers should expect ridiculously high light bills in the summer. Our first bill was $250 for June 2011 (and that was with having the deposit waived for good credit!). If you are someone who likes to keep the house cold year-round, you should check out "level billing" with Entergy. I now pay $127 a month, every month. This is more than I would have paid in the winter, but at least I don't have to worry about usage. -Again, if you are using AT&T for your cell phone plan, I would recommend going with U-Verse for TV & Internet due to the bundles that are offered. I have two iPhones, VERY fast internet (12mbps), and a TV package that has everything except movie channels (I use Netflix), and I pay about $200/month for everything. -Ask for a unit that faces either the interior of the complex or Gosling or South Panther Creek Drive. You will have beautiful views from these units rather than just seeing a parking lot. I HIGHLY recommend this complex to a single person or a young, childless couple. It is affordable, very conveniently located, and quiet enough to call home but still within five minutes of the local entertainment options in the city. Not to mention, it's five minutes from I-45. This has been a great home for me thus far. Only three months in and I am already expecting I'll be renewing my lease next year. With Autumn just weeks away, I am VERY MUCH looking forward to seeing the leaves change colors and making my view from my over-sized patio even more beautiful.

Great place for a family!
I've lived here for about a year and I LOVE it. It's in a very nice area just a few miles away from great shopping and restaurants. It's always really quiet during the day and has a beautiful trail in a true "forest like" court yard. The office staff is always very nice and helpful and the mantinence always fixes what ever problems I have the day I call in. They even threw a Christmas party for every one who lives here with complimentary pictures of Santa. My daughter had a ball. A great place for a family. Really nice neighbors. Great amount of space for your money and they keep up with the appearance of things. I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking for affordable living in the woodlands area.

Wonderful place to live at
This complex is a great place to live at. I don't know what kind of problems this last person had but I, who lived here now for 2 years, never encountered them. The complex is kept in very good shape, there is a nice sort of park area in the middle, the pool is a little small but nice. Yes there is no lifeguard in duty, but which apartment complex has that any way? (I never lived in one with a life guard) The apartments, even though the complex is like 15 yeas old, are kept VERY clean upon move-in. Maintenance is great, fast and friendly. Pest control is done automatically and we NEVER had a problem with anything other than ants in the summer and you will get that in any place where you have actually tress around instead of wasteland. The staff is friendly, sometimes it might take them a little longer to understand what you want but at least they are as helpful as they can be, never had a problem with them. There is a live-in-cop even though I have to say I'm not too impressed with him, but that doesn't really have anything to do with the apt's themselves. Other tenants are friendly. It is not a completely crime free area, but I don't thing something like that exists at all. At least we haven't had any break-ins as far as I know or rapes or anything like that. The floorplans are really nice and rents are cheapest around here. We will have to move next year and I hope we can find something as nice as here. Also you are in the middle of The Woodlands, close to all the fun places like the mall and theaters and the concert pavilion. Lots of different grocery stores around here and the school bus drops off right in the complex. It really is a great place to live at and I call it my home.
