    I have been consistently satisfied with the maintenance work by the staff. They are friendly, professional and competent. Even in emergency situations, they respond with calm competence. That, in itself, means a lot.

      As a long time resident, I wanted to leave this review specifically because of how the building handled the severe ice storm we had about a month ago. The storm started as snow and quickly turned into ice. It was so bad that my own shovel actually broke while I was trying to clear it. What really stood out to me was that the Aspen staff had metal shovels available for residents to borrow, and they organized it in a fair system so everyone had a chance to use one. That kind of thoughtfulness really impressed me. They also did an excellent job salting the walkways and common areas around the building. Everything was treated well and I never saw anyone slip during the entire storm. They even had designated areas where the plow trucks could dump the snow, which kept everything organized and prevented large piles from blocking walkways or parking areas. I was even talking with another resident while shoveling and he mentioned how much he appreciated what the building was doing too. The Aspen staff and management stayed available throughout the whole storm process, and they were also communicating with residents by email with updates during the storm in case anyone needed anything. On top of that, our power never went out. Moments like this show what good management really looks like. I truly appreciate the effort the Aspen team put in to keeping residents safe during a difficult storm… and this is part of the reason my wife and I call the Aspen home.

        The apartments are big and building has pretty good amenities. It's a little pricey for the location but utilities are a flat rate every month and parking is free so for the size of the apartment and the amenities, it's a decent deal.

          The office staff is responsive and helpful. The community is kept clean and in good repair except for the elevator situation. The maintenance staff worked quickly and efficiently to repair the issue. I was satisfied with the work performed.

            Fire alarms go off regularly and the middle elevator has been broken on and off for the last 2 years. Excellent maintenance staff and knowledgable leasing office staff. Concierges are quick to respond and reliable

              The biggest selling point was that utilities were included. The only downside is there is no dryer and washing machine. Other than that, the place is clean and quiet. I'm happy with my decision to move here.

                      Amazing staff and spacious apartments. Additionally, the apartment has a great community and neighbors. The neighborhood is safe as well. This is an apartment that I would highly recommend. The apartments are really really spacious.

                        It is a quiet apartment, and I have nice views of the city. I have had problems with safety due to my status as a crime victim of corruption and other crimes in the city. My safety is my main concern. The leasing office is aware of the problem. This is an older building so there are quirks which periodically inconvenience me.

                          I would recommend. There could be more attention to residents' needs. But I would recommend. The building could also notify residents of building-wide maintenance sooner + let residents know the purpose of the building-wide maintenance.

                            The Aspen has the best maintenance staff. They are quick, reliable, and professional. I never have to worry about a maintenance problem for long because they show up soon and they do not leave until the issue has been resolved.

                                    The Aspen is generally a quiet and well-kept community. The neighborhood is somewhat walkable, and you are in proximity to DC. The shuttle service is convenient. The neighbors are usually friendly. It is an older building, so the maintenance may be annoying at times, but it is maintained.

                                      Note the upkeep of the grounds is good, it is residents that do not pick up after their pet's. Elevators are an issue. My dog was attacked by a pitbull that did not reside in this building. The attack was in the building. The lady did pay for the emergency bill. Service, inquires and staff are GREAT!

                                          My wife and I have been living here since 2014, going on 12 years now, and honestly, these past three years have been the best. Management has been excellent, and the maintenance staff is outstanding. The property is always kept clean and well maintained. Just this past week, they repainted the stairwells, and it looks brand new, like a fresh upgrade. The carpets are cleaned several times a year, and now there are electric vehicle chargers installed, something that was promised a while back and delivered. That's amazing progress. They have a great open-door policy, respond quickly to emails, and truly make us feel comfortable here. Parking is another big plus, it's complimentary, spacious, safe and easy to access, which is rare these days. I know the building had its challenges a few years ago, but it's improved so much. My wife and I were just talking about how smooth things have been, hardly any issues with the AC or heating, and everything's been working great. Jesse and Earl have really handled those challenges well, and we appreciate their leadership. Overall, we're very happy here and absolutely plan to renew our lease again.                                                   Don't move here. The staff is not helpful and is rude. Consistently have hot water outages without notice, comment, or information. When requesting information, I was told by their lawyer I couldn't speak to management about the issue
