This is a poorly run apartment complex. The elevators never seem to work, packages are constantly stolen, any issues with utilities is never handled by the management staff and we have to figure it out. Parking is a disaster, and this place tries to Nickle and dime all of its residents

As a General Manager in the property management field I am a tough one to please but the experience I have had over the last three years have been very good. Knowing what to expect being in the business makes me realize the difficulties of this business. The staff is professional and always willing to help despite challenging residents as I have witnessed. Through it all, they stand tall and provide the utmost customer service.

Quiet neighborhood. Grocery store 15 min. walk, 1.5 min drive. New grocery store 7 min drive 20 min walk. Great location. Near a school, entertainment, food, dog park, etc. The staff is amazing. Grills aren't opened year-round. Pool and grill open late in the spring/summer months and close early. So you only get a month or so of use. Thanks to COVID-19 the gym is no longer 24/7. When the gym is opened you can't use the dumbbells. I don't know what the walls are made out of, you can't hang anything. The renovations were rushed and poorly done. Towing starts at 7. Although there is visitor parking available, it's not enough. So you can't really have company because they might tow your car. They towed my RENTAL. I wouldn't recommend Bell properties to anyone.

I've lived in several apartment complexes across three states, and shirlington house apartments are by far the best. The staff is awesome, complaints are handled quickly, maintenance is great, and apartments have a ton of natural light. It's really hard to pick out any complaints. I love it here.

Pros: -The layout and grounds are beautiful. Big windows and big spaces. -Apartment is very quiet. - Maintenance team is great and attentive - walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops - lots of greenery and birds Downsides: - cockroaches. We keep our apartment super clean. We had exterminators and theyre starting to come again - package room is a mess. Its not organized and mail folks leave packages anywhere. Takes forever to find stuff - lots of helicopters fly by pretty low. Its often and its loud. Sometimes on conference calls I have to mute myself because its so distracting -this year, weve had 4 power outages and the generator only covers the hallway. The longest the outage was - 4 hours. The least: 45 minutes

This is a good place to live, quite close to everything I need. I've been told the rent is good for this area but we're feeling the Amazon Effect here already. My rent has gone up more than $200 in the 3 years I've lived here. This place is now nickle-and-diming people: we pay for what should be basics like parking, guest parking, package delivery and trash. I also pay a $50 per month pet rent, which is overkill. I believe a one-time deposit for my pet should suffice. He uses no utilities.

Residents are friendly but there is a good mix of friendliness and not being intrusive. The maintenance is especially good considering this is an older building and the views are great. You have close access to Shirlington Village, restaurants and shopping. Great place to live.

Overall I really like it here. Staff is friendly and helpful. It would be nice to have the security guard back for evening and overnights - I felt safer with him there. Residents should strive to pick up their pet waste more consistently as well.

I have enjoyed living at Shirlington House Apartments. The apartment is beautiful and I have had minimal problems (which have gotten solved quickly). It is not noisy at all. Great place to live. Would recommend to someone who wants to be close to things in Shirlington

Ive been at Shirlington House Apartments for a month and so far so good. My initial process of moving was challenging but Shirlington House worked with me and was very much understanding and communicative. I really appreciated all the help I was given. My home feels that much special because of it. The overall awareness of the community including amenities and actual unit was exactly as mentioned on the website. The units/resident overall are gorgeous and neighbors/staff are friendly.

Our experience at Shirlington has been a positive one! The staff is always friendly and greet you whenever they see you, they are ready and able to help with any problem you might have and they work hard to keep the lobby and other shared spaces clean daily! The location is great, as it is walking distance to a handful of restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend Shirlington to anyone moving to the area.

If you love it being 77-80 degrees in your apartment then this is the place for you!! If you love everything like the water and power not working then this is the place for you!! If you love paying a lot of money and nothing working then this is the place for you!!! Ive been here for a month and the power has been out 3 times, so if you love all that then definitely come here!

1/3 of community's staff has been overall helpful since I've lived here, others require more persistence. Past issues have been: smoking, mice, noise, and AC bit have been eventually resolved. Overall, I'm content but it could be better. Can't say I'd want to live here long term.

Shirlington house is a great place to live. The location is awesome and its the best bargain per square footage. Maintenance is timely and typically effective. Keep an eye on your rent/bills as odd charges show up all the time. The front office staff is friendly but not always the most knowledgeable. Do your research and push for what you were promised for and youll do great here.

Ive made it thoroughly apparent with management my experience in regards to the air conditioning. Therefore, I dont think I need to further extrapolate on this issue. If the apartment could provide what they offer upon signing the lease it would be a fine place

Very good experience having just moved from FL. Staff was very very helpful and still is. Great location etc. Just hope the rent doesn't go up too too much especially during this pandemic. Great place to have a pet.

I enjoy living at shirlington from house. I am generally happy with my apartment and privacy. I do believe the rent is slightly high considering shirlington is outside of the main Arlington areas (Courthouse, Clarendon, Roslyn). That being said I think it would be fair to offer a discount on rent during the times the amenities are close, seeing as one of the main reason I chose this complex was because of the amenities

I took a chance on SH during the renovation phase. I saw the potential plus the location was ideal and I have not been disappointed at this point. SH continues to make improvements to the property and the current staff and maintenance crew are professional and attentive.

En General es una buena comunidad, bien mantenida y con un buen gimnasio y grocery store, pero en el tema de seguridad nos han robado dos bicicletas que dejamos en la zona de bicicletas en el parquearero y no recibimos solución al respecto.

Shirlington House is the best value in the area. They have recently remodeled the lobby and the elevators. The location is key. It is right next to the Four Mile Run trail to jog and ride bikes. Within walking distance to the shops, movie theater, and restaurants. I don't plan on moving any time soon.

I found a big mouse in my kitchen after few weeks of living in this place. Its disgusting and scary. The management didnt even bother to answer my email or call me. As for the maintenance staff, they showed a high level of responsibility and empathy. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I hope I will not envoûter this problem again till I leave this place.

Management has never replied to a single one of my phone calls. The complex charges me for garage parking and sold me on a parking spot that was mine, where I could tow those who stole my spot. Yet, the tow company cannot tow from the garage. I have tried to discuss this with the complex but they duck my calls.
