so far so good

I've been here a few months and I've been having a good experience. The grounds are really nice and the staff has taken good care of me. I Haven't had any major maintainance issues but when I call in something minor the maintainance team has been on top of it. My lease is up in a few months and I'm looking forward to renewing, I've been looking around and I would say that this is easily the best place to live in the area.

If That's moving up, then I'm moving out.

One and done. You will be too. After 10 months they raised our rent by $300/month without negotiation. They offered a better deal at about 6 monts - but halfway through a lease is no time to have to decide - that's why we got a 12 month lease. All I can say if you move here is that you have been warned. Read all the reviews, but note that 80% of the positive reviews here are suspiciously similar. There are better options in Ashburn. P.S. The gate is the biggest annoyance of all time and provides exactly zero safety.

Great Team here at Broadlands Apartments

I feel strongly that this property management team is one of the best that I have seen and worked with. The responsiveness of the on-site staff and the maintenance help-line is outstanding. The staff is doing a difficult job with, at least to me, a difficult group of people/tenants who don't seem to understand the parking rules and regulations and park illegally and in a hazardous manner. Likewise the staff is very responsive in dealing tenant created problems, such as when the tenants fail to place the trash inside the compactor and push it down the lip and close the door, which then leads to the tenants just dumping their bags, boxes, furniture and extraneous rubbish outside the compactor and creating a mess. This means the staff has to handle a problem, which has been created by the tenants, and which aside from holding the tenants hands and placing the trash in the compactor, places your staff in a no-win situation. I feel that this staff is very courteous and extremely helpful and I have spent many years in the customer service field and as a customer service consultant evaluating the level of service and support given by companies such as Northwest Airlines, Citibank, and Kraft Foods and feel that I am more than qualified to identify talented customer service staff. Unfortunately to many people who are satisfied with the service they receive don't take the time to give positive feedback, leaving the dissatisfied customer to overwhelm you with complaints. Frequently those who complain are also those who created the problem, condition, or circumstance they are complaining about.

Pleasant and Professional

Both the management and maintenance crews are so pleasant and professional. It's such a relief to know that things are always fixed promptly and correctly. The grounds are always lovely, and we get so many compliments from friends and family about the quality of the neighborhood. Ms. Panarella is always ready with a smile and a solution to whatever issues we've brought to her. I honestly don't have enough good things to say!

The staff is hard working

The staff is hard working and extremely on the ball. Very knowledgable about the property and leasing and apartments. Very professional. Gina was very helpful with the ADU program and my entire move in process went smoothly becuase of Gina.

Loving it

Loving it, no real complaints so far. If there were more parking spots, or _actual_ reserved parking, that might be nice. Also on some electrical outlets only one plug works, but when/if that becomes a problem I'll just put in a maintenance request about it.

Been Here For 3 Years and staying

I have been living here for 3 years in my 3 bedroom apartment and i love it here so does my family. This floor plan is great for us doesnt feel like an apartment. Management has changed alot recently but for the good they have been trying. The best thing we enjoy all the trails and Nature walks in the community.

The customer service between myself and the agents has been very positive. I have lived at many apartments, but never signed a lease on the first day. I signed immediatly with this place because I felt welcome and loved the property.

Very Average

When I first moved here, I thought it was great. However, after being here for almost a year, I have become frustrated with several aspects: The apartments are nice but WAY overpriced for what you get. The Parking is Horrible! There is Never a parking space if you get in after 8 PM. The Leasing office staff used to be great - but has changed so much since I moved here that I now only know one person in the office. One woman refuses to help anyone who comes in and just yells at the others to help from inside her office. Maintenance is just average. I have had only 3 work order requests but only two were ever addressed or completed - despite multiple requests for the one particular issue. Trash pick up is HORRIBLE. There will be piles and piles of trash sitting outside the garbage cans and recycling bins for a week. They need more frequent pick up for the amount of tennants they have. It smells bad and looks cheap. BUT, the apartments do have walking trails around them. Ashburn is a very nice place to live - clean, new, and quiet. But, from what I have heard - there are nicer apartment complexes for less money. I will be looking for a new apartment complex when my lease is up.

Rudest Management Imaginable

If you'd like to be treated like a 2-year-old and get nickle-n-dimed to death all while they try to sell you their homes, try Van Meter Broadlands. Stop in today for your free tounge lashing and complimentary snotty attitude. Ask your leasing agent how you can be berated and marginalized by a leasing agent! Unreal folks. I am in awe of how bad the management is here. Thanks, Van Meter.

Great Community and close to everything

We moved in at the end of February 2008, The leasing agents were more than helpful at all times. If something was broken it was quickly repaired the same day. The area was clean and we loved how easy it was to get to all the walking trails from the apartments. We lived in one of the townhomes and it was clean and freshly painted when we moved in.We have a dog and it was hard to find a short term rental that also accomodated our pet. I would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere in Ashburn to rent to check this place out first.

Be sure to ask how to get your money stolen by embezzeling shifty leasing agents! Almost all of the positive reviews here sound suspiciously the same... note how many are grouped on the same day...

Wonderful experience!

Amazing place, wonderful location! Its the perfect size for roommates, couples, or a new family. Very close to work via the toll road. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

One of the Best

I've lived in many different apartments in my life, moving around with the military, and I can say that Broadlands ranks up there above many others. If I have a maintenance problem it gets fixed in a reasonable amount of time. If I have a parking or noise problem I report it to the office and they take care of it. It's almost like having a management company that actually works for me not against me... Thanks Broadlands

Home away from home.

I love it here, people in the office are nice, caring and resolve any issues that you have promptly and in a profesional manner. I like the con I was relocated to Virginia due to work and this place makes me feel like I am home, even thought I am 1500 miles from home. The people, the location, the actual building reminds me of home.

Beautiful Community

I love it here! The staff is great and they go beyond the standard of apartment living. I feel like I can go into the offce and every time I am greeted with a smile. I have referred multiple people to them. It is so clean and they all love pets.

Peaceful Place

I have lived at here for almost 2 years and I have not had any problems. Any maintenance issues i have had were taken care of quickly. This is area is so pretty and I enjoy walking my puppy :) around and visiting Kathy in the club house! Sad to say I will not be renewing because of my job but I would def recommend this place to anyone.
