Impressive Apartment Community
It has been a number of years since I lived in an apartment community. My experience with Broadlands Apartments exceeded my expectations. excellence while still creating a hospitable environment for pets and their owners, Broadlands Apartments certainly delivers here. The commitment to both the property and the residents is clear; anytime I have approached on-site management with requests, they have been honored in an expeditious manner. Pets allowed
we needed an apartment that allowed pets, seeing as they are part of my family and was very excited that they allowed them with a fee. we love the atmosphere in the office, we have always felt at home. and are very proud that broadband is our home..

Staff was Great
We just moved here, the military moved us, and when we viewed the place we were very impressed. The staff was knowledgable and nice and the community was very well kept up. We liked how close it was located to our work and the convience to shopping - not to mention when family comes in to the airport we don't have to drive into DC... It's nice that we only have a 20 minute drive to the airport. Since we moved in the staff is always ready to help us and answer questions... it's nice that they just didn't forget about us after they got our rent...

Staff was great
We were looking for an apartment that was close to work and offered a work out and provided the privacy and quite surroundings that we had in back home in the country. We are military and need someplace that would accomidate our normal lifestyle. When we got to the apartment complex the staff was very nice and showed us what we were looking for and explained everything right off. We were sold at first site. We had been looking for about 3 weeks and this was the first one that we really liked right off. If it wasn't for the staff I don't think we would of rented from Broadlands.

This place is Horrible
Your lucky if you can get a straight answer from any of the management staff. They will tack on all kinds of extras when you come to sign the lease. They never have paperwork right. Neighbors always pile up trash outside their doors and management does nothing about it. You can hear everything that goes on in the neighboring units with no problem. Those with pets never clean up after their pets and management does nothing to enforce the cleanup rule. They dont even abide by their on pet policy on restricted breeds have several restricted breed dogs residing in the complex. management in general is HORRIBLE they have the mentality that you are there for them not them for you.

If you move in don't break your lease
This place ridiciously expensive if you break your lease. 60 day notice plus additional 2 months rents. Basically 4 months rent. Also be care when you move out they are very sneaky to deduct your deposit and spend 350 to replace the carpet and some other nonsense.

They changed there name ??
I been living here going on my 3rd year and didnt realized that we changed our name from Van Metre Southern Walk to Broadlands Apartments. I see alot of changes have been taking in place for the better. i liked it over here before but now i love it. great place to live come check it out for yourself.

Awesome place to live
i love it here nice clean area. love the wine and cheese parties. staff is great and will work with you people are friendly. its hard to find parking sometimes on weekends

Quick leasing process and very friendly surroundings
I moved here about 3 months ago and relocated from Texas. The leasing agent in the office rented this apartment for me when I was out of state. I never looked at the apartment and just trusted his information via email and phone. Its usually hard to rent an apartment without looking but I have been very satisfied since relocating to this area. The maintenance staff has always been on point and I have also gotten acquainted with the area very quickly. I would highly reccomend this place to anyone that is looking for a upper class community and great customer service. The leasing process was also very smooth and he even got me approved within 30 minutes. I have already referred 2 other people to this community and without a doubt they love it. Great job southern walk staff!!!

Friendly staff and events for residents
This community is great for our kids and our family. WE are new to the area and really didnt know the area to well and we thought we would have a tough transition. It actually ended up being smooth. A big part of it was that the leasing office actually has events every month for the residents and its a great way to get to know the people in the communuty and the surrounding areas. They were alwayshelpful from my transition from california and made every very easy. They always know who you are when you come to the office and they will always go out of the way to help a person out. I commend the leasing staff for there great work and I would like to thank Van metre for the great hospitality.

Renewed due to great service
I have been living here for 2 years now and I am going on my third year. I was thiking of moving out but realized I probably wont be treated as nice as I have been treated if I went elesewhere. The office always follows up with me everytime there is a service request or if I have any major questions. They have been so friendly and reliable since I moved in here. The rate did go up a little bit but that is standard for almost every community. Its a great location and they treat you well. I also plan on a buying a van metre home at some point with the credit they given me towards home purchase.

Easy Process
I moved from California and needed an apartment right away. I came in the same day and got a lease and got keys within 30 minutes. The leasing process was very smooth and the leasing agent was very thorough on all the important things i needed to know for move in and to get used to the area. Very effective workers in the office and very friendly. I highly reccomend broadlands apartments!!

Customer service and Maintenance has been consistent since we have moved in
This place in unreal. I have been at many communities and noticed that most communities act nice to you when you first move in the forget about you. This place has been on top of there game since I moved in 3 years ago. Every work order has been done within 24 hours, they always remember our name when we walk in and will do anything to make us happy. I would reccomend this place to almost anyone.

Such quick Response awesome service from beginning to end
The leasing manager has been fantastic from the start!! I have had some problems with my neihbors dogs above me but the leasing manager has always been extremely quick to try to correct the problem, I have had a few minor issues with the apartment and they were fixed within 12 hours, that's GREAT service!! I recommended this place to everyone that I know!

Smooth Transition
The leasing agent was very helpful in our move from Michigan. My wife and I were sold pretty much the minute he showed us the apartment. He was very courteous and did not pressure us into our lease. He has been an excellent point of contact ever since we moved and has also been a good, quiet neighbor. We have also been very pleased with the maintenance staff as they have responded promptly to our requests. I also like the sense of security and safety we feel here. I work for U.S. Customs and Border Protection and living in a safe place when my wife is home alone was a number one priority. The only small problem we have had since we arrived has been the hot water. When we take showers the water is only hot for a very short time and then gets cold. However, I notified the leasing agent of this today and he has already put in a work order for us. Overall, we are very happy at Broadlands Apartments/Southern Walk.

Pet Friendly
This community accepts all size dogs and it is a very pet friendly community. I would say they could do a better job with the dog mess around the community but sometimes its hard when the residents just dont pick up after themselves. Overall it has been a pleasant stay and the management does a great job keeping the community in great shape.

Love the location
I used to live down the street at another community and it has been a total shock to me how they do things here apposed to other communities. Noone in the office is actually ------ and snooty, they actually treat you like true customers and they will do anything to help you out. They have assisted me in my move in everyway and they have made my life very easy. The leasing process was so quick there maintenance is so quick with everything unlike most communities you live at. I plan to use there home credit program to buy a possible van metre home in the future. Maybe I havent been here long enough to see how things go one after you live here a couple months but so far it has been a pleasing experience.

Most responsive Maintenance
I have lived at about 4 different apartment communities in the last 4 years and I have to say that Van metre has the most responsive maintenance staff I have ever experienced. I have been living here for about 7 months now and every single time I put in a work order they come the same day or within 24 hours. They are great. I would highly reccomend due to the great work of this maintenance staff.

i dont expect people to be perfect because we are all human. I have had a couple bumpy experiences but the management has always got the job done one way or another. The snow removal was done very quickly when the weather got bad and maintenance will always get the job done immediately when a complaint is put in. I notice all these negative people coming on here and complaning but in the end they do get the job done..I would definitely reccomend this place. I have lived in about 4 different placed in the ashburn asrea and this place has the best service by far..I really cant complain

First community that actually remembers my name!!
The leasing agents have been a wonder management team. This is the first community that I have lived in and when you walk in the office, They call you by your first name. That says alot when you get a greeting like that. Upon moving here about 10 months ago everything transitions very smoothly with my relocation to the area. When i first visited the community, the leasing agent gave me a grand tour and I absolutely loved the community. When I applied, there was an immediate response to all inquiries. Upon signing my Lease, I met the leasing agent and he walked me through the entire process. I remember he said welcome to the Van Metre Family you new home. Indeed this community has felt like home since I moved in. The leasing agent also ensures that if there is a problem in my home it is taken care of right away. The leasing agents are excellent associates. They definately give the impression that they care about the residents. I plan to renew my lease and take advantage of the rent plus program to become a home owner. Thank you to the Souther Walk Team for making my move to Ashburn a good experience.

Unbelievable Customer service
Management staff has gone out of their way several times to assist me in issues, scheduling or answering questions. He is always very courteous and polite and willing to go the extra mile to satisfy my requests as a tenant. The rest of the staff also exhibits the same professional qualities as he does. Maybe I should recruit these employees into Lockheed Martin because their good attitude and professionalism in customer service would definately allow him to succeed!!!

Superb Management/Maintains ground very well
I do plan on buying a home in the future so I am not sure how long I will be staying but if I do decide to stay I will definitely renew
