I haven't had any of these problems

I have had a great experience at Broadlands. Everyone has always been very helpful and my apartment has always been in good condition. I understand that some people on here have had a few relatively minor issues that they have blown up to huge problems. The last review is pretty much an indictment of the electric company. A $180 electric bill in August isn't that high. I have also lived in a single family home and our bill was pretty much always above $300, I've had a couple of bills that this person would have considered to be high but I ran my A/C and left some lights on that I probably shouldn't have. I don't want to take this whole review to talk about other people's problems. I have been here for two years and I have had two maintenance issues. One the door handles in my closet because I yanked on it too hard. I had it fixed in minutes. I called the maintenance office and I saw one of the guys outside, he knew me by name and came in and took care of it. The other one was a slow drain in the tub, but it turned out that it was just my wife's hair (gross I know but it wasn't Van Metre's fault). The office staff has been easy to work with, I did have to come in once because my renters insurance expiered but I had forgotten to renew it with them. They keep the property clean, the apartments are well maintained, they even do happy hours an pizza parties and other things for us. I went into the office because I wanted to get more football on my cable package (which they provide), and they spoke to the cable company and got them to add a whole new NFL teir. I think they really go out of their way to make us feel at home. I will definitely be here for a third year. And unlike the negative reviews, I have the guts to put my email address instead of hiding.

Not worth a Dime Because its worth way more

I have been living here for a 5 years, and had no problems with the current staff. The Negative comments are probably people who are not paying rent, and then get pissed off at management when they asking them. I have never seen a property being kept so clean. They had a problem with the trash compactor and last week I saw them put a camera up so that should now be taken care of from now on because it s the residents who are doing it. Maintenance is great about responding to any calls they even change my light bulbs never seen any property I lived at before doing that.

Worth the price

Broadlands is definitely worth the price. My rent went up a little bit since last year but its worth it for this apartment. The staff is great and I have never had a problem. Don't go for the places offering the $900 one bedrooms, because you get what you pay for. I've been in this area for a while and this is definitely the best place I've been

More than I expected

I moved in a few months ago and I didn't plan on being here long. I was new to the area and I needed a place fast. I was really suprised with how well I have been treated here. I extended my lease for a year. This was definitely the right move.

a little higher in price then others

i looked at alot of if not all the apartments in Ashburn. They all seem the same to me some have a little extra features some dont but i choose Broadlands even though it was a bit higher then other is because of the rent to own program which all the rent money goes towards a purchase of a new Van Metre home.

Great Client Care

I couldn't be happier with the superior quality of the client care I received from my Leasing Consultant, Imran Awan. Not only did he "sale me" on my first visit, but these apartment homes also "sale themselves" because of all the upscale amenties it comes with! I've lived in three apartment communities in Virginia and this one is by far the most impressive!

2 Year Veteran

I've been here for two years going on three and I've had a great experience. As with any place there are hicups here and there but everyone has been quick to respond and always treat me with respect. I've lived in a lot of places including my own home and so far this has been the best place I've stayed. Its not as big as my old house but I also don't have to worry about fixing anything, landscaping, taxes and everything else that I had to worry about with my house. Everyone has been really welcoming and the managers, staff, maintenence have all been very kind and helpful. One of the leasing people calls me every couple of months just to check in. I'd definitely recommend Van Metre.

I love the design of my place, the location, and how the grounds are maintained. it is also is a great "dog community" When you drive around the neighborhood of Ashburn, and i see other communities, Im always happy that its the Van Metre Community that i get to come home to.

Needed a place for a short stay

I am waiting for my house to be build and needed a place to stay for a few months. This was the only place that allowed a short term lease to fit my needs. i love the location here and the schools are great.

Quiet Neighborhood

I have been here from 2003 and i will not say that i have never had any issues but,the people here are great in taking care of the problems. The best thing i like about this place is that it is nice and quiet. Atleast i have been lucky enough that i have never had a noisy neighbor.

Parking could be a little better if only we had a few more spaces. But my only question to management is when is the next happy hour???

Greatest Place On Earth!!

I absolutely loved living in Broadlands!! I wish I could have stayed. The apartments are wonderful, the scenery beautiful and the maintenance staff very courteous and helpful. Affordable, clean, and unique. I had everything I needed on location and I could not have asked for more. 24 hour access to the Fitness Center and a swimming pool were definitely a plus. Talk about happy and healthy living!!

Impressed so far, like the neighborhood

I moved in back in May and I haven't had any problems. I really like the neighborhood and my dog has made a lot of friends. The guys from maintenance did a great job getting my apartment ready. At my last place stuff was always breaking and nobody ever seemed to care. I haven't had anything go wrong here, they even came to change my air filter without having to call the office a million times. I'm working on purchasing a home and they told me I could use my rent towards the purchase. I'd recommend Broadlands.

I LOVE IT HERE!

I absolutely LOVE it here! The staff is so friendly and helped me out with everything! The property is also georgous! The best place I've ever rented! Love it Love it Love it!!!

Would not recommend rental of the Townhomes

The property is not suppose to be very old but the paint is so thick on the walls that it gives the townhome an antique look (and not in a good way). All the fixtures seem to be from the 90s and very cheap, old and in need of replacement. The counter-top in the kitchen was cracked, the flooring in the kitchen is horrible, badly scratched and has numerous deep cuts from the previous tenants (the flooring was not replaced for a new tenant and should not have been leased to us in that condition). The vents in all of the bathrooms are rusty. The bathroom cabinets had the facing peeling off. We had to purchase our own stuff to treat the ant infestation because the stuff used by Maintenance did not work. The day of move-in, the cleaning crew was still cleaning the townhouse and did not do a good job because hairs of the previous tenants were still in the upstairs bathroom. When in the bathroom, could hear the entire conversation of the next door neighbors!!! This list could go on and on and on. I would not recommend that place to anyone unless Management improved upon the entire complex (including amenities).

I don't know who wrote last review but it must be some sick person. There is nothing wrong with apartments and management. I live here and belive me there is no other place like this! School

I had done my research before coming here for Job Relocation and heard the schools were really good. After going to school with my kids to meet with teachers I was really happy that I moved here. I am really impressed with the Landscaping as well.

Pleasant and Professional

Both the management and maintenance crews are so pleasant and professional. It's such a relief to know that things are always fixed promptly and correctly. The grounds are always lovely, and we get so many compliments from friends and family about the quality of the neighborhood. Ms. Panarella is always ready with a smile and a solution to whatever issues we've brought to her. I honestly don't have enough good things to say!
