I asked for a quote for an apartment. The rep emailed it to me a day late and we were unable to review the quote due to medical reasons. Trying to reach the property reps by phone and/or email and needs improvement. Turn around reply for email and voicemail should be 24 hours. Rarely I received a response. When I finally was able to reach someone via phone a couple days later, they increased my quote over $200 monthly and did not honor their quoted price, even though they were late providing me the quote in the first place (a day late) and the rep went out of town. Bad customer service experience so far, which is too bad because we were very excited about moving in. Now, I'm wondering if my customer service experience is bad now, what it will be like if we moved in? Furthermore, they force you to buy cable and internet. I don't watch TV much and don't want cable, but people are forced to buy it for $75/month. As for the apartments themselves, the townhouse I saw looked nice and had ample space for our needs. I contacted their corporate headquarters to resolve the issue, but they provided no response at all. So it seems there are administrative issues that trickle down all the way from HQ. My family and I were able to secure a great apartment home with more amenities and an additional bedroom for less and a better location. There's no need to deal with the hassle of bad service when there are lots of choices.

I've been here about four months and my experience has been really good. It is a visually appealing property very close to, but not on, the greenway. The grounds are extensive and well-kept. There is perimeter of 'forest' around the property that's great for kids. All the amenities you'd want: pool, gym, computer room . . . even a really nice club room. The office staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. Maintenance has responded to all my requests very promptly. All in all, I can highly recommend it as a place to live, especially for those who don't have to commute into the city every day.

Terrific neighborhood! I'm happy to be apart of this community, especially the open arms to a variety of pets.The move-in process was stress-free! It was very clean and in good condition. The location is very convenient for work and personal life activities! Staff has been exceptionally friendly and helpful from the beginning, both over the phone and in person. When there is a question or concern they handle it immediately and with the utmost care. Definitely a great community to live in and be a part of. Overall, it is a comfortable and safe place to live. The atmosphere allows for privacy when needed or wanted and playful/engaging activities for socializing as desired.

Hello, I am new here to these apartments and I wanted everyone to know how amazing I feel now that I am here! I have never felt at home since I left home and moved out on my own, until now. I absolutely love living in this community. Everything here is wonderful. From the time I called to inquire about vacancies until this very day I am writing this review I have been overwhelemed by the professionalism and kind people who work and live here. The leasing office team is very attentive and real. They know and address me by my first name already and are never to busy to sit down and have a real conversation with me. I almost never have to sit and wait to discus any questions or concerns I have with them. At this community they have team captains so therefore even though they all know me and are willing and able to help me when I am in need there is just one person who is dedicated to checking in on me to make sure each and every need I have is being meet to the best level and standard they are aloud. I recently moved from a new complex just a quarter mile down the road. I have so many not so nice things to share about Atley. Every single little thing since the moment I moved in was bad. The appliances however, new they were they seamed to be riddled with problems. Nothing seamed to stay functional no matter how little I used it or not. I had at least a dozen work orders in the first few months and several more later on. The hot water heater just stopped working one very cold night; the float thing in the toilet stopped floating; the refrigerator malfunctioned; the dishwasher wasn't programmed correctly; the sink had a leak that took the repair men 4 times and 3 weeks to fix even though it was just a deal and chucking that was the problem. Bottom line it was a pain to have to deal with the obvious signs of a rush job and inexperienced handymen. It often took several calls to the maintenance line and office to get the problem across to them correctly. I would call the maintenance line and explain in several sentences what the issue was since I would t be home to talk with the maintenance man to explain. They wrote down three words on their work order and submitted it. This is why it took so long to get anything accomplished. Lack of efficiency and communication was an epidemic at that place. The large iron gates never operated correctly for the entire year I was there. They often trapped me in or out. The only parking available when I would return from a 12-14 hour work day was in the cup-de-sac at the end of the side street. This is like 1/4 mile from my stairs. This was a giant stresser since I have a toddler and only have time to grocery shop twice a month. I am so happy to have a place to live where there is not even one ounce of stress or hassle. Broadlands is the best BY FAR place I have even rented from and I am happy and proud to call this place my home. I would highly recommend that if ever a vacancy comes open you jump on it and enjoy a stress free living community too!

Awful experience. Old lighting fixtures, non-energy efficient appliances that are out of date, and floors are cheap. Lots of cracks and creaks in the floors. Maintenance is good but they can only fix so much. The heating/AC is like a college dorm... you only have heat in the fall/winter, a/c spring/summer. So if it's 80 degrees in the fall, you have no choice but to open the windows and hope it helps. Apartments are dark and community center only offers so much. Gates are not needed and are often broken through -- not convenient for visitors, fire/EMS, or deliveries. Overpriced for what you get. Location is okay but there are better options around. Do your homework before dealing with management, which changes almost every few months.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. We came from out of state and from a brand new development, which was terrible to say the least. We are on the second floor, cannot hear a single neighbor EVER, which is amazing. The renovated unit we got is perhaps the nicest kitchen I have ever seen next to my mother's custom built home. The rest of the amenities at this complex are just spectacular, clubhouse, gym, and pool/deck/grill area are just up my alley taste wise. With having dogs, walking them is important, and the grounds here are just gorgeous. Behind these townhomes and apartments there is a sliver of woods/and a running river that is pleasant enough to look at and keep the dogs in an active environment so they don't end up pudgy apartment dogs. There is a nature preserve just up the street within walking distance to use for longer walks and is pleasing to the eye as well. As for the staff, they are my absolute favorite part of this place. They actually care about what is going on and have fixed any and all issues we have ever had in a super timely manner. The maintenance staff is on point, and friendly to boot. Imagine that.. right? We feel completely safe inside this gated community, and are completely content on staying past our one year mark, perhaps 2-3.

Just pass on them. The office staff are rude. Don't care about residents. They'll say whatever they need to before you're a resident but then you're just a unit number.

I really like my 1 bedroom apartment at Broadlands Apartments. The office staff and the maintenance staff are so very warm, friendly and helpful. They allow large dogs here which is such a value for me since I have 2 big dogs. The grounds are spacious and clean. The apartment is a great size for me and my dogs. It is very quiet and I barely hear my neighbors who live above me. Parking is not a problem for me as a resident, but I would say there is not enough guest parking as it is always filled up. I always feel safe here and my neighbors are all very friendly. The apartment itself is clean, modern, and I rarely have maintenance issues but if I do, they are addressed extremely quickly.

This is by far one of the best place we have stayed ! It's a great combination of contemporary style with comfort , excellent amenities & a great location. The staff is really friendly and very professional. They fix the maintenance problems immediately & follow up for feedback! They often organize get togethers and make it a fun place to live in. It's a clean and a modern space where your family will enjoy every bit of it. Experience it to believe it!

My husband and I have lived at Broadlands Apartments for 18 months. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here so far. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always make sure they do their best to help with any concern you may have. Whenever you have a problem, they respond as quickly as they can. There have been some times when our neighbors have been quite noisy, but overall, we love our apartment and the staff who take care of the property.

I am in my third year here, and as a senior citizen living alone, I have only good things to say about this complex. The office staff is friendly and helpful, the snow removal is always top notch, the maintenance staff is reliable and dependable, and the grounds are kept lovely. Also, there is plenty of parking whenever my family visits. EF

Me and my family were in search of a nicer neighborhood to move to. we had checked other places and most of them had no specials available. We came to Broadlands Apts by chance and said to ourselves "Why not" Talked with Theresa and meet Whitney that day. Both were really pleasant and professional. They also had a wonderful deal at the time and we took advantage of it. After moving in, we absolutely love the complex. The Apt feels like a small condo. We love the fireplace too. Definitely an upgrade from our apt in Reston.

My son and I needed a place to live ASAP and the courteous staff at Broadlands Apartments accommodated me and we are in a very nice two master suite townhouse with garage, which appears to be the best option for people with multiple cars. Our maintenance issues are always addressed immediately and satisfactorily, and the office staff is always friendly and willing to assist. I have seen some very negative ratings earlier in the life of this property but our experience has definitely been positive and we have been very happy here!

My husband and I were faced with a very fast move from Florida to Virginia last June for work. We did not have the time to come look for at places so Had to rely on the internet for a place to live. We searched and looked at everything out here and chose this complex for a variety of reason. very friendly staff to deal with .. location was decent, pictures were very accurate of the complex.. and the specials and ease in which it took to get in here was awesome... I*f anything ever goes wrong maintenance is here the same day and in most cases with in an hour... it is always clean here and very relaxed. When we got here after a very long drive.. they made it fast and even had a small little goody bag for us .. I am more then pleased with this property and would recommend it to others.., in fact I already have.

This is by far the best place ive ever lived, the staff in the office are always very kind and ready to help, the maintenance staff responds as soon as possible, any problem ive had which have been very few has always been addressed promptly and thoroughly. Overall a great and quiet neighborhood with very friendly people, i dont plan on moving anytime soon.

I have been here about 3 years now and I absolutely love this place! I have seen the staff change numerous times which is a little strange but it doesn't effect my living experience here. The location is great! I have a two bedroom with lots of windows allowing a lot of natural light in. I like that the community is gated and I have my own garage so parking is never a problem. I definitely recommend getting a garage if you are able to. The maintenance is always quick to respond and always so friendly. I would highly recommend this place. The pool is great is the summer too never too many people there.

There is No PARKING SPACES for their own residents. They have told me they are working on it for the past 5 months now and still nothing has been done. Please do not move into this complex. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED..... Oh on top of that during snow season they just pile snow onto the parking spaces like a mountain. Way to solve your problems.......

We lived here for a year. The problems with this complex is that office manager, -----! She is a lazy, mean --- woman. EVERY apt resident I met there hadn't had one pleasant thing to say about her. She is a ---------------------------------- combined. I saw her yelling at neighborhood children, she is known for sending outrageous bills when you move out (of course you'd better pay or your credit is at risk), she fired a young ------- lifeguard for complaining on her very bad behavior towards ------- landscape workers, she drives around intimidating residents with her mean glare. she places signs in the complex warning parents about their children. I cant believe this woman is still there! They need to refresh this place with a new manager. Someone with new fresh visions. They are losing lease renewals right now because most people cant stand her. She is enough to drive people away. What is wrong with corporate to have her there still? Hopefully they'll come to their senses and get someone young and vibrant to manage the place- drive in new renters and keep the --- ones. With her there I will not recommend this place to anyone.

I have lived at Broadlands Apartments for 2 years now and I love it. It is such a wonderful and pet friendly community. My 2 bedroom apartment has a large kitchen and dining room which is great becuase I love to entertain. I have a large walk in closet in each bedroom so I have plenty of storage space. The staff here is wonderful. They are always courteous, prompt and attentive to any requests made and they definitely do have the best residents events. The clubhouse is very cozy, they have a fireaplce they keep on during the winter months and I like stop in for a hot tea or coffee when I am out walking (and my dog loves the milkbones they keep on hand for her!) If you are looking for an apartment in Broadlands, look no further. The location is ideal, right off the toll road and close to everything.

worse apartments I ever lived in, getting a lot of dust from hvac vents, carpets were ugly, appliances were too old and noisy.I have opened several work orders to fix stuff in the last 6 months. ceilings are messed up, they look like someday folks living above us will fall into our apartment.Please look at the pics you will get an idea. garage is $160 per month, and if you get a garage you won't get additional parking spots. ac unit was very noisy and running hard all the time, got $163 power bill first month and $95 second month now in winter my powerbill got reduced to $30 per month as I no longer use ac.
