Best experience of apartment and town house living in Fairfax, VA. The customer service is over the top! The staff is friendly and easily on a first name basis after a few outstanding community events. The pool parties are amazing fun and the property is dog friendly with an outstanding dog park. Parking is convenient and the landscaping is perfect for walking my dog while dog while dog stations are readily available. The gym is abundant with up to date fitness equipment while the club house is cozy and can be rented for events. I was even impressed with the storage rooms. The community has all I need and more for a better price than the competition. This community is even in the heart of Fairfax with cue bus / metro bus stops along the property. The location is superb in that it's between a BestBuy shopping center and a dentist, eye dr., etc.

I love everything about this apartment complex- the fitness center, dog park, housing communities, speed of maintenance. Be warned, the parking situation is horrid and you will likely not find a spot within the complex if you come home from work after 10pm.

I would not recommend living at Fairfax Square Apartments. I have felt unsafe and unvalued as a resident and will be moving out the first chance I get. Our leasing agent was really welcoming and kind, but with all the maintenance issues we've had so far, thin walls and creaky floors/ceilings, and overall lack of attention and response when asking for help from staff, I would stay steer clear from living here if at all possible.

The space is pretty nice for the price. Good amenities, comfortable living space, and low amount of noise heard from neighbors. Nice gym facilities and outdoor pool available in the summer. Parking is one problem, enforcement of towing for cars without stickers or passes is not done very often. Thus, parking can be difficult at times.

I have been living in Fairfax Square since last year and have been enjoying my stay at this apartment complex. The envirenment here is very good and properly managed. I would like to thank Jason Kennedy for making transfer smooth and successful. Jason Kennedy has been very helpful, friendly and professional. Without his professional work skills, I might not have moved to new unit until now. I will definitely introduce more friends to Jason. He is awsome. I also would like to appreciate Asma Khan who has been working very hard to maintain such a good envirenment for us. she is absolutely professional and capable of solving all various kinds of issues. My special thanks to her in replacing the stove of my unit as my unit's stove is not working very well for us. I will surely recommend as many friends as possible to rent Fairfax Square apartments.

I lived here for a little over a year and it was a great experience overall. The location is very convenient - there is a shopping area less than a mile away for all groceries, etc. The neighbors were all very pleasant and the community is kept clean and maintained well. We had a couple issues with the AC/heater not functioning properly a couple times but the issue was taken care of almost immediately once the staff was notified. The leasing office staff were all fantastic to deal with - special thanks to Amy. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for an apartment in the area.

I have been living here for about 2 years. This is my first experience renting an apartment and I can say this has been nothing short of phenomenal. The staff has been really friendly with me, whenever I've had a maintenance issue, they have been quickly to respond. They recently opened up a dog park and it has been great since I've been able to meet some of my neighbors, which in turn, has created a more friendly atmosphere. The groundskeeping crew does an amazing job, the community appearance is great. I have mostly dealt with Dan and Amy, they have been really friendly and courteous. They are quick to attend to any issue/concern I may have. This experience has been really positive.

I've been living at FS for a little less than a year and absolutely love it! Amy has always been extremely helpful every time I walk into the leasing office with any questions. Maintenance has also always been friendly and quick to respond to any inquiries. Additionally, the fact that this is one of the very few apartment complexes in the area that don't have strict breed restrictions on dogs makes all that more amazing.

I have been here since February of 2016, and I love this place! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They quickly respond to any questions or needs, and the maintenance staff is super friendly and quick to address our issues. The community is very dog friendly. They even have a small dog park included in the property that we often take our dog to, so she can play with the other dogs at Fairfax Square. There are multiple shopping centers, including grocery stores, within 5 minutes of the property. The Vienna Metro, Mosaic District, and Old Towne Fairfax are all within a 15 minute drive. This location is seriously convenient, friendly and very well kept. They are all about the people living there.

Yes! It's true! Fairfax Square is an award winning and well landscaped apartment community that is walkable and cyclable with three adjacent shopping centers and a Shell station. CUE Fairfax City busses got me to Fair City Mall, Vienna Metrorail station, and AAMCO transmission repair while Metrobus 29K got me to Alexandria Metrorail and Amtrak stations when I moved here or travelled to National airport. Clubhouse business office computers keep me connected whenever home from work. Rental office staff Asma, Dan, Sierra, Jason, Frank, and Amy have been very responsive to short-notice needs. On-site maintenance staff have been invaluable during late night emergencies and paralyzing winter blizzards. Walkable and cyclable community means you can get your car repaired nearby, get take-out deli or pizza, munch on Dunkin Donuts, dine at international cuisine restaurants at Main Street Center, grab last-minute needs at 7-11, get my watches and shoes repaired, and more!

Every employee I have interacted with at Van Metre at Fairfax Square has been fantastic. They are all knowledgeable and accommodating, and throw a pretty swell party! The grounds are always pristine, the facilities are well-equipped, and every maintenance issue we have encountered has been addressed promptly.

The apartments in Fairfax Square were extremely well maintained as well as spacious. The community was friendly and inviting and the landscaping was superb. They have fantastic facilities and an amazing pool, as well as a dog park that was just recently added. Most impressive of all was the staff, in particular Amy from the front desk. She was not only helpful but extremely friendly and was one of the best staff members you could ever hope to find in an apartment complex. She was accommodating and beyond competent whenever we had any questions or problems that needed attention.

I have only lived here for about 3 months, but so far I would say my overall experience here has been really lovely! The office staff is incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. I feel comfortable going to them if I need something or have any questions, and they are quite capable. The maintenance staff is also very friendly, and Speedy takes a lot of pride in what he does--as he should: he is very good at it! However, not all members of the maintenance staff match his level of quality and efficiency, so if you choose Fairfax Square, become comfortable going to the office staff to keep them in the loop on the maintenance work, so they can put pressure on those assigned to your job if need be. The overall upkeep of the grounds is great, and if you ever see something that doesn't match your level of upkeep (dog poo, litter, etc.) you should report it to the office staff, as they want to make sure the look of Fairfax Square meets a high standard, one not all residents may respect. They try to make sure Fairfax Square is not only beautiful but also safe, so don't be surprised if you receive a letter reminding you of the speed limits in the complex the first month you move in. I would certainly recommend Fairfax Square to others, and I have! To comment on other people's reviews: I find the parking spots to be quite roomy, actually, and I drive an SUV. Also, I live on the ground level and have never had issues with flooding or vermin.

I have lived here for a little over a year now and it has been great here! Not only do I love the location but the staff is amazing. Sierra in my community captain and she has been very helpful. The lady at the front desk is also great and has helped me a few times. I would definitely recommended living here. Beautiful grounds and quite peaceful.

I have been living here for half a year, and I have really enjoyed the company the staff provides. They have always been treating everyone with the most respect possible, and still like to have causal conversations with their residents. In fact my favorite person to have a conversation with anytime is the lady that sits in the main area. Amy is always helping people out. Whenever I need anything she will always be able to help me super fast and super efficient. Other than that, I do love how the maintenance people are always able to help anytime of the day. This staff rocks my socks!

I am a fairly new tenant here but so far really enjoying my new home. The grounds are really nice and the location is perfect. Close to lots of shopping and businesses. My apartment is pretty good size and very comfortable. I do not hear a lot of noise through the walls. The office staff is also very friendly. I worked with Sierra W. who went out of her way to get answers for me and make my move in day go seamlessly. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

I love living at Van Metre. Maintenance is rarely required but always prompt and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Aroua at the leasing center is always cheerful and extremely helpful when I have questions or concerns. She's great!

Sierra White is a great ambassador for the Fairfax Square apartments. My husband and I were "just looking" in anticipation of closing on the sale of our house. Ms. White's cheerfulness, patience and enthusiasm put us at complete ease; after she showed us the various floor plans, took us on tour to look at several one and two bedrooms, and ably answered all our questions, we decided to make a decision that day. The price of the apartments at FS are very reasonable, and my husband is thrilled to get a fire place, which we did not expect at all. We look forward to living at FS.

Had I known the level of cheapness my 2K+ a month would get me, I never would have moved in here. I will not be staying, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. That's the gist of it, but here are some pros/cons: Pros: - It feels like a safe place. - The outside looks nice and everything is taken care of that I can see. - It is very close to basically everywhere, though in a very busy area. Cons: - I've never lived somewhere that felt so cheap. Every week something else breaks, falls apart, or stops working for some mysterious reason. - Maintenance is horrible. I have submitted 20 maintenance tickets in the last 4 months of living here, and have ended up addressing the problems myself for most of them after maintenance "fixed" them while I was at work. Things that were fixed, like the microwave door that literally broke in half, is fixed to a just barely functioning level. - Parking spaces are very narrow to cram more in. This didn't alleviate parking issues that I can tell, rather made it so that people keep hitting cars with their doors. - Water charges are high and weird. I paid on average $20/mo in my last place, that did metered usage. This place is a fixed fee of $50 regardless of usage.

The staff at Fairfax Square are awesome. They respond quickly to our needs. The townhouses are spacious and clean. Our balcony overlooks a quiet private nature haven. It is a great place to sip coffee in the morning, as well as a relaxing area to wind down at the end of the day. We feel safe here.

A few months ago, Ms. Sierra White showed me some apartments at Van Metre Fairfax Square Apartments (FS). The apartments have washers/dryers and the rooms are nicely sized. The balconies and patios are a good size and the grounds are beautiful. Ms. White provided such a thorough tour that I signed up right away and have been very happy here. The neighbors are very nice. Everyone on the Management Staff, from my Community Captain, Ms. Aroua Saddam to Administrative Assistant, Ms. Amy Cookson, is friendly and very responsive. The Maintenance Staff is very responsive and repairs are well done. FS has a twenty-four hours times seven days a week, well-appointed gym; a beautiful pool with spacious lounging area; a computer center with three computers and work/meeting table, etc. The Fairfax City Library is well stocked and has underground parking; the Old Town Square is equipped with free WiFi; concerts,craft, and other fairs are annual evnets; the restaureants have diverse cuisines and are excellent; etc. And of course, there's George Mason University.

My first initial visit to Fairfax Square Apartments was amazing. Sierra White was the one who gave me a tour of the community. She was very pleasant and definitely knew her community inside and out. The feeling I got here compared to the other places I have visited is why I chose to move here. The staff at Fairfax Square are very willing to help you with anything you need or any questions you have. I am excited about my new home and I would definitely recommend this place.
