It was very good experience living at Fairfax Square. The community is at good location, and the apartment is in good condition. Moreover, the staff working there are always friendly and helpful. I really want to thank Luz, Amy, Cookson, and Dan for their help during the process of my moving out. They answered my questions with patience, replied my email very quickly, helped me with cancelling the policy of insurance. They are so wonderful.

I am very impressed with the rental personnel, service technicians and the housekeeping and grounds maintence. I feel very comfortable here and well cared for. Maintence requests are handled in a very rapid manner

Staff always friendly and professional. Great community to live in. The amenities are exceptional - the pool is beautiful and well-kept and the gym has (almost) everything I need and is rarely crowded.

Nice quiet place to live. Service requests or any maintenance is handled in a quick and timely manner. Really appreciate the efforts of the staff to keep the community up and running. Wish the swimming pool is ready soon.

I stayed here for a 3 month internship during the summer. The apartment itself was satisfactory aside from some aesthetic issues, and the pool was great, but I did experience a few issues with the staff. Although we very clearly stated from the beginning that we were only going to be staying for a summer internship, and we only had a 3 month lease, we were charged the extra ~$2000 due to the fact that we had not given 2 months notice "in writing" and had only given it verbally. This requirement was stated somewhere in the 39 pages we had to read through and sign. Being two students with limited incomes we attempted to talk it through with the leasing manager, who then threatened to take us to court. She stated that Van Metre typically sends out notice before a lease ends so that the residents can extend or end the lease, but that they "must have missed" ours. Additionally, the woman who we worked with while moving in was far from expeditious with questions and it took 2 full months to get our security deposit back.

I like Fairfax Square. It is really a good place to live in. The houses are well maintained. The environment is beautiful and quiet. All the leasing staff are nice and heapful.By the way, you can keep your dogs or cats here. There is a dog playground so that dags can run and play and make friends here.

The area is super safe and quiet at night which is a huge plus! The apartment is in amazing condition since being newly renovated -- minus the few issues that occurred during my move in, maintenance made sure to come out quickly and get them all solved for me within the day I put in a request.

The leasing office staff are nice. Traffic is convenient. The facilities in apartment are good. But the noise is a problem. The floor is not that strong. The washmachine load is small. The bath tub blocks frequently.

Very friendly and efficient staff! We moved in with a 9 month old and it has been a great experience so far. The pool and exercise rooms are awesome too. The maintenance team is efficient and friendly as well.

Fairfax Square Apartments is a great community. I enjoy living here. Staff is very nice and helpful. Apartments are well maintained and area is really clean. In addition, the community is pet-friendly. I would recommend Fairfax Square Apartments to a friend.

Overall we have been satisfied living here. Maintenance has been good and we have been happy with snow removal and landscaping. The pool is well maintained and safety is well maintained. The heat and air conditioning work well

Generally it is a positive experience. The main problem is that there will be frequent maintenance requests coming from your side as all the buildings are quite cheaply constructed. Having said that the maintenance service is efficient. The other problem is that all the apartments are overpriced. Generally, this is not bad place to live but you have better options for the same or even lower price.

The staff from management to maintenance appear to be friendly and attempt to be helpful, unfortunately overtime there has been a lack of responses to serious issues. -Failure to initially recognize serious electrical issues. -Failure to respond in a timely manner to air conditioning/heating and hot water heater issue. -Lack of communication/miscommunication to residence. -Mold issues and air duct issue initially ignored. -Several minor and major accounting errors that were missed. -Slow response in having lease signed by management. -Failure to honor lease renewal incentive. *They do plan a lot of fun community activities, and the environment is clean and friendly.

Great staff, great amenities, and fast repairs! Great location, plenty of parking, and easy access to public transportation. Everyone is always available when needed and they follow up with you quickly.

Overall, our experience at Fairfax Square was great. Overall, I highly recommend! Pros: The location is excellent, in the heart of Fairfax city, on the CUE bus route, and within walking distance of two different shopping centers. My husband and I made occasional walking trips to the Shoppers down the street. Fairfax Square management is awesome - the staff is very friendly and helpful (and a big shoutout to Amy, who is amazing and so kind)! The pool is HUGE. Cons: Taking the trash out can be a far walk, depending on the location of your apartment in the complex. We could hear our upstairs neighbor when the volume was loud, but I wouldn't say "walls are thin". Temporary parking passes for friends was at times an inconvenience.

I felt welcome at this community from the Leasing Staff to the Maintenance Staff. All are highly accommodating and professional. Community has a beautiful Clubhouse with a large pool with comfy pool furniture similar to what you'd have at a high end resort. We also have a dog park.

Very nice community, great management staff. Gym could be better as it gets very busy and there is not enough space to work out. Great pool parties and maintenance is always very prompt. Some of the appliances in the apartments are quite old.

Luz, Jason y Daniel han sido muy amables y me resuleven cualquier problema con eficiencia. Alex y Juan de mantenimeinto siempre ha sido muy amables y eficientes para los problemas de mantenimeinto en el apartamento 19.

This community is a special one for me. I lived here for one year the first time I lived in Fairfax. When I moved back in 2015 I decided to return to this community as it is kept clean, the staff is friendly, and the grounds are kept beautifully

Overall, it's been a great experience. The apartments are nice, in a terrific location, and there are many amenities. Grounds are usually kept quite attractive and the management has numerous special events for residents. The only consistent problem is not enough convenient parking.

Fairfax Square is a quiet environment for me, and it's easy to take the Fairfax CUE bus. If you are studying at Mason, it will be one of the best apartment for you. Meanwhile, they are gasoline station, 711, and supermarkets near the community. You will enjoy it.
