I've had a good experience....
I've had a good experience. The office staff and maintenance staff are very quick to resolve any issues we have had. I was most impressed by the way they handled the power outage last summer - the power was out for about 5 days, which was the fault of Dominion Power, not Tysons Glen. Still, Tysons Glen was did what they could to help the residents out, including providing free ice cream for the residents on a particularly hot day when we were without air conditioning.

It is so nice quite, clean, with a good, cooperated neighbors and comfortable community. In addition, the bus of the complex is so helpful and excellent accurate times. The clean maintenance of the outdoor apartments is very good especially during snow and dusty days.

Well landscaped, well-lit at night, good response from maintenance when needed, staff at office always polite. I have been here six years and plan to renew my lease again. We really like the pool as not many people and always very clean

The short version? Don't think about this place. Don't even consider it for a moment. Don't pause to put on your sneakers, just RUN!!!!!! Here are the negatives: you get to hear your neighbors through the walls (even when they sneeze); have mice, ants, unidentifiable gross bugs all over and dying in your walls stinking it up; single pane windows that let in all the cold in winter and heat in summer; heat pumps that don't work and that maintenance refuses (and can't figure out how to anyway) fix; electric bills over 150 a month (yet you'll still freeze in winter or roast in summer because the windows leak so bad the AC/heat just runs and runs at a reasonable setting); issues with places to park as there isn't adequate parking, people have 4 cars for the 10 people living in their place; reserved parking that's a joke as they rip you off each month to pay for it yet don't enforce it so people park anywhere and steal you spot that you PAY for constantly (and if you ask management what to do about it they just say to leave another note on the car that the people who park there ignore); having to park streets away just to try to find a spot as everything is full constantly; cigarette smoke seeping through all your windows if they're open and coming through your door if you go in or out; roads and sidewalks that aren't cared for in storms; cigarette butts all over your yard that management doesn't take care of like they're supposed to anyway; maintainace who can't fix jackcrap and have to be called every day for over a week to get them to come out, even in an emergency; pipes that back up regularly; high water bills; rent that goes up hundreds of dollars each year; management who lie, never help you, never even TRY to help you, does anything they can to screw you over, and doesn't believe you need heat, AC, or running water; dog poo all over the neighborhood; no insulation in the walls; loud parties in the streets; neighbors who scream their heads off constantly and bang on walls so you can hear them all the way to the top level of the building and many doors down; floors that creak so you hear every foot step above you; management who tells people to park anywhere, even in someone else's reserved spot that they're paying extra for; management with accents so heavy you can't understand a word they say; management who promises to get back to you but never does; maintenance who doesn't show up when promised even when your place is flooding from the pipes backing up (again); to only have the option of signing an 8 or 16 month lease if you renew (month to month and year leases aren't allowed!); not be told what your new rent will be until it's too late to give notice to get the hell out as they're jacking it up HUNDREDS of dollars and making you sign a LONG lease (even though you've been asking if it's going up for months and were told no...until you went in to renew and then had no choice as you have to give 60 days notice to move out but oh! you can't go month to month! so haha! you're stuck or we're taking you to court!). To top it off: the gym is a joke. They closed it for a year then put in the same crappy equipment, minus a few pieces. The metro van doesn't run consistently and will randomly stop and block the road into the development when it does show up. Management doesn't bother to tell you when the pool will be opening and it's got short hours anyway, making it useless. Management has gotten worse and worse and the neighborhood is really going down hill--it's easy to see safety is going to be a big issue in the next year or so. Hell, there's already been drug busts! And sooo much more, but I don't have two hours to type the rest. We got stuck in this crap hole because of their games and then ended up not having the money to move because of it. But now we do so as soon as the lease is up, we're out of this place!!! If you ignore all this and rent here anyway, I feel sorry for you, I really do. You will regret it.

I will not recommend this place to anyone. We have lived here for about a year and counting the days to move out. The place is full of cockroaches. For the first six months we had not problem, and now they are in the bathtub, kitchen and inside the kicthen. Maintanance only come a put some small boxes that do nothing to this creatures. Another problem is nose, the materials of the building are very poor you han ear the shower and the people walking around, the dryer and the tv from above your unit. it is allfaul. The manager is rude and he does not care for anything. w have call several time for the noise and insects and they just do not care and do nothing. Another problem is the price of electricity it is very high about $150 dollars more from the apartment rent. during the winter is gets very cold and so be prepared to contain cold or paid a lot of money. Also the prices for one bedroom apartment we are paying $1700. Run of out of heare if you can.

My experience has bee great. The staff is awesome. I wish parking were a little more monitored as I have a car parked right in front of my house that hasn't moved in weeks and I don't believe the person is on the lease of the apartment, just a visitor. But that is so minor compared to all the positive aspect of Tysons Glen. I feel lucky I found them when I did!

Love the staff. They are great! No complaints other then a rodent problem in the winter that could have been solved quickly but instead continued for 2 months. Finally the hole in the cealing was repaired and problem was solved but not after 10+ complaints. Other then this, this complex is safe and in a great location. The apartments are spacious and the pool is fantastic in the summer. I would live here for years to come if I could be assured mice would not enter next winter!

I like it. It is clean and quiet for the most part. The one issue is owners who don't clean up behind their pets. Also, the apartment above mine doesn't have carpeting so I hear them walking when wearing dress shoes. I hear them move the dining room chairs and their child crying or stomping around. At 11pm that child might still be up making noise. I never hear my next door neighbors.

Our family of four moved...
Our family of four moved into this community because of it's spacious apartments and location within the Tyson's Corner area. We were attracted by the cost and amenities provided. The pros of our unit are: it's quiet, cozy, parking spots are ample, playground for little ones, shuttle to metro stop, new kitchen fixtures and updated appliances as well as freshly painted and clean carpet installed and rooms are a good standard size with their own closets. Cons: no storage space (but encourages you not to be a hoarder), very, very limited kitchen storage for food and tableware, small kitchen counter space, washer and dryer are on the smaller side, last room gets really cold at night forcing you to spike up the heat throughout the day, bathrooms are ok but no counter space and we're currently battling some rodent (mice) issues during our first week of living here. Staff has been responsive but it's an ongoing concern. The community itself is ok - green, clean but tenants are allowed to keep too much personal belongings on their patios and balconies and it can look dirty and unattractive to passerbys. Limited trash cans and recycling bins throughout the area and located far away from our unit.

DON'T DO IT. You'll go crazy. Noise, bugs more noise. Do you like heat in the winter? So do I that is why I wish I had some. Place stays cold no matter what temp you have it set at, and continues to blow cold air when the "heat" is not even on. Managment and staff say nice things but ignore the problems. Keep looking. There are better options out there.

I love living here. The location is excellent being tucked behind a high school away from the major roads but yet so close to 495 and 66. I enjoy the staff immensely. Josh is amazing. He is always so happy and helpful every time you see him and his staff projects the same pleasure.

So far it's been a quiet experience as I moved in at the end of October last year. Overall, very pleasant. One problem is that twice I've been informed and billed for late fees even though my payment arrived a week before due.

Generaly I am very satisfied by the staff and the quality of the service and everything the apartments offer. However I think the apartments don't have good system to isolate the sound and you are quite exposed to the noises from the other apartments. Also, the architecture of the apartments is not very convenient --it lacks a lot of storage space and it has space that is wasted. Also, according to what they offer I think they are pricy.I mean they are beautiful apartments but they have nothing luxurious or anything that makes them particularly special for the amount of money the residents have to pay, especially the one bedroom--I used to stay in a bigger one in the past.

Quiet, mostly friendly neighbors and staff. However, it is very expensive to live in this area and, for the money you pay here, I would expect things to be a little better than they are.

I lived in this community...
I lived in this community back in 2009 and loved it so much that I moved back in 2012. Really, I have no major complaints. Parking is great, the townhouse is great, the ground are great, and the ammenities are great. I will say the walls are a littel thin, but that's to be expected of an older community. The only issue I've had was a simple work order taking 4 months to complete and being told that work orders and parts were being ordered when they were not. That being said, I would recommend moving here to anyone.
