I was looking for a two bedroom pet friendly apartment in either Herndon or Reston, and Stuart Woods fit the bill. Though I do wish that I could hear my neighbors less than I do, every interaction with office staff and maintenance has been great, and overall I am satisfied with my decision to move here.

The apartment and its location are great. Very convenient to be so close to work and the shopping areas. The services offered such as the 24 hour fitness center are great. The neighbors are not the friendliest bunch we've met. Can be loud and unwelcoming.

This is very good community to stay in. I feel this is very safe community. The location of the community is very suitable. The apartments here are really big compared to other communities. Also they have shuttle service to Reston-Whiele metro station. I love to be the part of such a nice community. Office staff and maintainence staff is very prompt. You will definitely get solutions to your issue. Thanks.

Good Living community. Convenient to Fannie Mae work location. Staff is very friends. Service requests were responded quickly. Community Fitness center and Swimming Pool should be improved. Rents are increase very high after 1 year lease renewal.

This apartment is fantastic one to live!! I have been here for laSt 30 months and didn't have any problem at all. The management is very responsive and take actions in time. They have good tennis court, beach volleyball court & fitness center.

The community is very dog friendly. If you have a friendly dog and want to hang out at the apartment dog park, then this place is a good fit. There are also nice walking trails and plenty of outdoor spaces to hang out and wander around without feeling like you are in a city.

My apartment is spacious and the community is well kept. I walk often and the accessibility of trails and sidewalks has been life-changing. That being said we've had 4 water leaks, one from idiots who lived above us breaking their toilet and not reporting it, three from excessive rainfall. The rain couldn't be helped but the hole in the roof could've been patched after leak 1 instead of leak 3. A parking space is marked reserved in our lot. It was reserved for a resident office worker who, unfortunately passed away earlier this year. When I say earlier I mean January. It's August and the "reserved" paint is still there. No one will park there because just because we know the story doesn't mean the tow truck driver does, or cares for that matter. It's been 7 months and no one has removed or painted over the reserved marker. The neighbors in my building are either incredibly rude or completely oblivious to community living. Numerous occasions have brought door slamming, arguing in the stairwells, and running up and down stairs after midnight. I don't think I'm "that old man" but I do commute to DC for work and get up at 4:30 every day, so my sleep is a little bit important to me. I reported these issues and the office staff said they'd put up "quiet hours reminder signs". As unhelpful as those would be to the idiots causing the problem they still aren't even up... My fianc?e and I are leaving Stuart Woods, sooner rather than later. The primary reason is we're buying a house but the reasons we'll be breaking our lease instead of finishing it are all the ones I've listed. So recommendations - if you've never lived in another apartment, this one is good for a first time renter. It will show you exactly what you like and don't like about community living. If you're looking for decent rent for the square footage, move here but understand there is a short list of very annoying issues. 2.5/5 stars, Stu.

This is extremely nice place to live in. Great community, friendly neighbors and very helpful staff. Public Transport is really good to reach long distances around Herndon. Evenings are always refreshing with greenery, sugarland run, pathways. Over all - A Very Good Experience

This place has lots of trees and lots of parking - both a big plus for me! I love the path running through the woods. The apartment has big windows and a sliding glass door leading to a balcony or patio, so lots of light comes in. The down side is, our heat runs a lot during the winter - probably because the windows let in so much cold air. We've had some issues with the management, but have stayed here since we like most other things.

When we first moved in we where so excited to live in a very dog friendly neighborhood. I feel like now if I had known how the staff and neighbors felt and treat me I would have never rented from them! Also the tennis courts are always dirty and the picnic tables have disappeared it makes it hard to enjoy the area. Very disappointed! I have enjoyed being able to walk places such as Panera and Safeway. It's also been nice to only have a 8 min commute to work in the morning.

Stuart Woods is a nice and safe community. I was originally drawn here because they were pet friendly but have found many other benefits since moving in. The community is quiet and family oriented. The buildings are concrete (walls and floors) so I barely hear my neighbors and I never hear people walking around. There is alot of parking available and you are given two additional parking passes for visitors. I've never had an issue with finding a place to park.

I absolutely adore Stuart Woods. The people are great, the office staff is wonderful, and the facilities are a great value. I have a dog, and have really appreciated what they have done for dog owners, and the improvements they have made to the trail! :)

Been in this community since Dec 2012 and since 2014 dec in my current apartment. Would keep renewing my lease unless job location changes. This is a good place to stay and accessible to everything. Would be nice if Apartment interiors gets renovated.

Good, I feel the leasing office staff can be little more prompt and attentive to the needs of the residents and requests. The rent amount can be little lowered and the carpets are very old and it can be replaced. And covered parking can be included.

Overall experience at the community has been pretty good. Maintenance requests are fulfilled in a timely manner. Apartment units are pretty good in size. I like the concrete construction, as this reduces the level of noise in the building.

Courteous staff, neat, play area for kids, play area for pets, cycling and running tracks nearby and lots of restaurants / bar and groceries store near by. There is a shuttle to metro and bus stop opposite to it. This apartment has it all. Highly recommended.

I just moved in about a month ago and so far I am extremely happy with the apartment and the staff. Maintenance response is very quick. The grounds always look very nice. The only recommendation I suggest is that new carpet be installed every time a new resident moves in. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a nice place to live.
