The only positive is its location. It is close to shopping center, airport, bank, school, bus stops, gas station. It has ample parking space. It is a 20+ year old apartment and it had frequent maintenance issues. The maintenance is quick in resolving it but eventually you get tired of raising maintenance issues. Tennis court floor is full of cracks and shrubs have grown out of it, and you cannot play because the nets are broken and removed. While the management try to do their job but are not very courteous. The noise levels are pretty high especially with kids jumping and running around and you can hear conversations. Many lights in common area do not function and stairways are not cleaned well. You may also find dog poops. The community roads are cracked in many areas. While management is responsible to ensure good community living, residents also have equal responsibility to keep surroundings clean and be mindful of each other.

Well maintained and speedy service requests resolution. No parking restrictions which is good. Short distance to restaurants and grocery. Except some staff in leasing office are not informative or supportive.

Its a very good community with nearby facilities like gas station, school, shopping malls and work place. Also the facilities within the apartment and community services like pool, gym, common area internet, printer, scanning documents are amazing facilities.

I just moved in a few days ago and so far so good. The apartment was clean, with new appliances and no issues that I can see. The staff was friendly and Tre even helped me carry a huge box from the front desk all the way to my apartment and up a flight of stairs. In addition, I had to contact the emergency maintenance number to have them switch on my AC unit and he was here within three minutes of me calling. Like I said, so far, so good.

Overall I like living here. My apartment is fine, the kitchen and particularly the bathroom are old but everything works and maintenance is good. I love all the trees and walkways on the property. It's pretty quick and easy to drive anywhere, and I can walk to a grocery store, gym, and restaurants. There are always open parking spots in the complex, but not always close to my building. All my interactions with the office staff have been great! They are friendly and helpful!

very near to groceries and bus commute is available and also free shuttle service to to schools.maintanence is very good with quality of good playground for kids. Near to hospitals for any emergency.

Though there is lease transfer as per the apartment rules I have taken guy for lease transfer then leasing office who works that day are not knowing the process and suggested me saying that could transfer online. when I contact next day over the phone to transfer online then they were not allowed me to transfer in between I shifted to California. believe me they charged 2500 dollars for breaking the lease. apartments are very very old and when you walk it will novice more and too small too Don't believe these apartments totally. I never suggest to any people to go with this apartments.

The place is really quiet , very clean , very nice and safe , Parking your car it not a problem . And the location is great close to the shoppers and a lots of cool places .even public transportations are close .

Worst worst experience with the Management. They are not even nice talking people in the leasing are very rash and they all are liars. I would never ever ever ever ever rent this place.

The apartment plan is good. The rooms are spacious. Maintenance requests are handled well. Enough cupboards in kitchen. Walk in closet could have had extra shelves though. The only drawback would be the electric coil stove.

We are very happy to be part of Point At McNair Farms apartment community. It's really wonderful experience living here. Friendly Office staff and good ambience in the middle of busy neighbourhood. Very close to shopping and grocery. We love this apartment community !!

Everything was great except the recurring leakage problem in the master bedroom. I had 4-5 complaints in 15 months. It's not easy to recover from an issue if it's your master bedroom. So I was waiting for the leasing period to be over.

I have rented various apartments in the surrounding areas in Northern Virginia and must say ThePoint at McNair is one of the best property I have rented from. The condition of the whole complex, friendly staff, good neighbors and close proximity to shopping centers and school make it a great place to live!

People who came new to this area. This place is good to stay, it's noise free and perfect ventilation. It's prime area in herndon. No parking issues. Kids play area and nice neighborhood. We liked and continuing almost 3 years.

Stealing in brought daylight. Humble request please don't fall in there trap. This is the worst community management i have ever seen or faced. Basically this apart is 25+ yrs. old and it has tons of maintenance problems. Top of the maintenance issues, we have management issues. None of the leasing associate are good in behavior nor they possess any skills. Problems: 1. We have bed bugs in most of the apartments 2. Water in washrooms drips and very little to little patch work is done to fix them. 3. They don't provide good billing statements, every month you have a correction to it. Every month you need to visit the leasing office to get that corrected. 4. The play area or the common areas are either with dog poop or badly maintained. 5. Tennis court is divided in middle and plants started growing thru the broken floor. It's not at all pretty as shown in pictures. 6. The trash bins are not picked up regularly 7. They increase the trash bill regularly 8. Top of all if you are moving out of the apartment they mandatory charge you at least $500.00 to $900.00 ( note : this will be exactly less than your rental insurance deductible ). They will not provide you any details but send it to collection agency to collect that money. You will know how that goes with collection agency. 9. None of the senior management is available to talk nor they encourage you to talk, because the leasing manager is so rude, She smokes in front of you while you are in talk with her apparently ignoring your conversation. You look for help and you will not find, since the manager itself is like that. 10. Bed bugs are so frequent and the pest control is so horrible to think of. 11. Community roads are very badly maintained. 12. As other reviews say you can lessen to other people conversations next door. 13. All the stair case and walk ways are rusting, so please be careful. 14. Swimming pool in summer is worse, you find all the waste in it and they don't have a filtration system, my daughter got rashes because of this. Be careful. Please look into the area and apartment before signing the lease. I have visited the apartments before me signing the lease, but the point to note is they are very nicely beautified, like you apply makeup to you face and when you are wet that sit. All the above points are faced during the period of time in your lease terms. While you decided to move out you are billed $900.00 for wall damages and carpet change, even though they weren't any. They just need something to steal from you. They don't provide any document for this nor they have anything to show us. They know people can't sue them, since the lawyer itself will take around $1000.00 to move against them. I am telling you honestly this is the worst management you would have seen or lived. I request all other tenants to write reviews on this community, please be honest in your stars. As I know lot of people give 3+ stars are from the management itself. All the words or reviews written are absolutely true nothing but the truth.
