Great place to live!!!
The staff here is very nice and helpful. The head of the maintenance team, Rick, is doing a great job and with a big smile! I give 5's all around for this community!

Very Nice Place
I have been here for the past 6 months and so far I have no regrets. The apartment I moved into was renovated, or recently constructed, in 2004. The place came with brand new washer & dryer, brand new dishwasher, brand new microwave and gas stove. I have my own parking space in front of my door. The place is very quiet & the residents are nice & don't give me problems. One time I drove into the complex with my radio playing loud and the residents seemed freaked out. One parent took her child inside because she probably thought I was a trouble maker. I learned afterwards to turn down my radio, or off completely, to avoid offending anybody. This just shows how quiet and peaceful this place is. The walls are very thick and I don't hear anybody in the next room or above me. I called once to have the lights outside my apartment repaired and in a few days they were fixed. Harris Teeter is right across street & open 24 hours. The apartment has a 24-hour gym with cardio and weights. There is also a swimming pool and internet cafe. There is also a free bar for anybody to use for parties on a 1st 1st serve basis. I am extremely satisifed with my stay here. I'm just sad that eventually I'm going to have to move out of this apartment to be closer to my place of work. I highly recommend this apartment to anybody looking for a quiet, peaceful and good quality apartment.

WORST APARMENT OF MY LIFE! (please read)
THIS FREAKING PLACE IS HORRIBLE. THEY DOUBLE CHARGED MY RENT 2 TIMES IN THE 12 MONTHS I LIVED THERE. THEY WENT TO REIMBURSE MY RENT AND CUT ME A CHECK FOR THE FEE'S I WAS ASSESSED! THEY STOP PAYMENT ON THE CHECK AND HAD NO IDEA WHY THEY DID IT. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK THEY SAID THEY WOULD CUT ME ANOTHER CHECK FOR MORE FEES ASSESSED. I TOLD THEM I WILL NOT ACCEPT A CHECK BECAUSE OF THE EXPERIENCES I HAVE SEEN WITH THEM AND MADE THEIR CORP ACCOUNTANT DEPOSIT CASH INTO MY ACCOUNT. I WILL GIVE YOU SCREENSHOTS OF EVERYTHING! I HAVE EMAILS (ENDLESS EMAILS TALKING TO 3 AGENTS) AND THEY ALL IGNORE ME. I MOVED TO HAWAII AND HAVE BEEN CALLING THEM FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS TO GET BACK MY DEPOSIT. IT IS LIKE THEY SCREEN MY NUMBER!!!!! I WANT MY F'ING DEPOSIT BACK!!!! WARNING TO EVERYONE......... MUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! TOTAL SCAM AND TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY PAID! STAY AWAY AND RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE (EVEN IF IT IS MORE EXPENSIVE.....IT SUCKS). THE "FREE CABLE" AND "FREE INTERNET" GOES DOWN ABOUT 8 TIMES A WEEK. I MEAN FOR 6-7 HOURS AT A TIME.......... LITERALLY!!!!!!!! IT IS STATED IN THE LEASE AGREEMENT THAT YOU HAVE TO GIVE A 90 DAY WARNING BEFORE YOU MOVE OUT. I RECEIVED A LETTER ON OUR DOOR THAT SAID THEY WILL INCREASE THE RENT 500 DOLLARS A MONTH FROM 1800 TO 2300 DOLLARS IF WE WANTED TO SIGN ANOTHER 1 YEAR LEASE. I WAS SHOCKED!!!! THIS PLACE IS BUILT TO ****!!! THIS ISN'T EVEN THE END OF IT ALL. IN THE VERY BEGINNING WE WERE HAVING A HORRIBLE GAS LEAK OUT OF OUR STOVE, AND THEY TOLD US NOT TO CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THEY SENT AN EMERGENCY MAINT. REQUEST AND HAD SOMEONE UP THERE IN 1 HOUR. THEY SAID THAT THIS IS NORMAL AND SORTA TIGHTENED THE KNOBS ON THE STOVE TOP. (THAT WAS IT!!!). HE SAID HE WOULD REPLACE THE STOVE AND NEVER DID. HE TOLD ME 6 MONTHS LATER THAT THE STOVE WAS REPLACED AND I LAUGHED BECAUSE HE NEVER DID. PLEASE PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING, DO NOT MOVE HERE. THE LEASING AGENTS ARE SCAMMERS AND ONLY LOOK OUT FOR THE COMMISSIONS THAT THEY MAKE WHEN YOU SINCE UP (---------, ------, ETC....) YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! YOU ALSO GET ADVERTISEMENTS ON YOUR DOOR ATLEAST 12 TIMES A WEEK FROM VARIOUS SOLICITATION PLACES. IT HAPPENS SOO MUCH I WAS SOOO ANNOYED I WANTED FOR ONE OF THE PPL WHO PUT THAT CRAP ON MY DOOR. I CAUGHT ONE ONE DAY AND I TOLD HIM TO STOP. HE SAID HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO DO IT BECAUSE HE IS DOING "COMMUNITY SERVICE". SOOO BE AWARE YOU WILL GET MASS AMOUNTS OF CRAP ON YOUR DOOR THE ENTIRE STAY THERE FROM EVERYONE YOU DONT CARE ABOUT. ALSO BEWARE!!!!! YOU WILL NEVER FIND PARKING AFTER 2PM, SO IF YOU GET OFF WORK AFTER 1PM BE PREPARED TO PARK ACROSS THE STREET AT HARRIS TETTER!!! LOL I AM NOT JOKING...... FRIDAY - TUESDAY IS HORRIBLE FOR PARKING.... THEY CALL IT THE MELTING POT THERE, BUT FROM AROUND 4:30-7:30 ALL YOU SEE IN SNOTTY RUDE INDIAN (FROM INDIA) FAMILIES STROLLING AROUND THE AREA OUT FOR A WALK. I TIMED THIS EVERYDAY AND IT WAS SOOOOOO FUNNY. GOOD LUCK! =)

Amazing apartment!
The leasing process was a breeze, and the office staff was very helpful upon move in. Any issues I have had were taken care of within 24 hours as promised. My apartemnt is spacious and has very nice features. I am happy to bere a resident here at Van Metre Woodland Park apartments and plan to stay for a long time! Refer to call.

I really love this place...
I love this place. I have had a great experience since I have moved in. The office staff has been very polite when I stop in and very responsive to my problems, big or small. My apartment is very nice too... I love the crown molding throughout the apartment, gives it a very classy touch. I recommend this community to everyone; it is a great place to live.

Horrible Place to Live
Dont Rent here.Its my sincere suggestion. Yes! this is my personal experience which I would like to share to those who want to Rent here for the first time. Initially they attract you with specials and discounts.Treat you like special.When you start liking the stay & think of extending the Lease then "YOU ARE TRAPPED". They hike the price in such a way that it will be more than 40% more price than the surrounding market price.Their intention is to get back the money they offered in the form of specials. This is their strategy of fooling customers. Management is not friendly.They always try to convince you in one way or other & their ultimate intention is to TRAP you. NEGATIVE: 1.Its difficult to get a parking spot after 9:00 PM. 2.HIGH RENT when compared to the Market. 3.Walls are thin & lots of disturbance. 4.No help if your vehicle is trapped in the snow & they dont clear the snow on time. 5.Their 24 hrs hotline number is just a part of marketing strategy.They dont respond to your call. POSITIVE: Its good for first time Renters with one time Lease sign. Later on you are TRAPPED.

Over all I am happy with this community. My apartment is very spacious and much nicer then others I saw before making the decision to live here. The price is a smidge higher then some of the other that are similar in the area but the customer service at the office is outstanding as well as all of the perks that come with renting from a Van Metre company. I recommend to everyone.

Ok, I will admit that this place isn't perfect... but what apartment complex is? I have lived here since last June and am still very happy. My apartment is wonderful and the few maintenance issues I've had are taken care of promply. The Home Plus Program that they do is amazing; if you are looking to buy a home sometime in the future then this is the place to rent from.

Don't believe the good reviews..they are fake staff reviews
The positive reviews are all fake and they sound the same...hmm could they be written by the leasing staff? The walls here are paper thin you can hear your neighbor fart. The maintenance performs bad quality work and mostly takes several calls and a lot of hassle to get anything done. The parking problem is so horrible. If you get home after 5 or 6 pm, you're out of luck and plan on taking a long walk to your apartment. The customer service at the leasing office needs a lot of improvement too. Response time is slow if at all.

The internet speed is awful
Van metre is a great place to live - To be honest, this is my third year. Everything about this apartment complex is good except internet. The internet sucks. If you want to telecommute, this is the worst place to live.

Fabulous complex
This place is wonderful. I have been thrilled with both my experience with the office staff and my apartment home. This is defiantly a luxurious community... the pools are amazing and the fittness center is very large when compared to other apartment communities. This is a fabulous place to live! I recommend to all!

Great place
I recently moved into this community and am very pleased. My apartment is very spacious and well maintained; it was also great to have the cable t.v. and internet already there upon move in... one less thing to worry about! My apartment was everything I was told it would be and more. The office staff has been great from the moment I walked in the door on my first visit to my move in day. I am really happy here.

The perfect Customer Service!
I moved into these apartments a month ago and since day one i have always recived great customer service. The staff is always there and the office is 7 days a week, which i noticed when i was relocating that not everyone was open all the time. Prince was great- he is one of the leasing consultant is there- he is very kind and always goes out of his way to help everybody.

This place is outstanding!

From all of the apartments I have lived in, this is the best. The apperance of the property and the amenities are great and I am greatly satasfied with them. My over all process of leasing the apartment was pretty seamless and easy, my leasing agent was a great help. The office staff gets a 5 from me, and the maintenance staff has taken care of all of my problems fast.

really great
My roommate and I are trilled with our apartment and experience in this community. I couldn't have asked for a nicer staff and hassle process. The staff is always very friendly, especailly Tom and Prince. They are great. Maintenace always takes care of my issues promply. I plan to renew my lease when it comes up.

Refer, refer, refer...
I would refer this property to everyone I know, and have! It is great having my friends live in the same community and the office gives a great referal bonus. I am extremly satisfied with the maintenance and office staff. On a scale from 1 to 5 I rate this property a 5 in every way possible. I plan on renewing my lease when it comes up in a few months.

Been here for 3 years and plan to stay.
We have enjoyed living here for the past three years. The staff and the office have been excellent over this time. Everyone has been really great from the staff, to maintenance, to other residents. My family and I really love it here.

I was introduced to the Van Metre company through Broadlands and they have been great. I liked Woodland Park, so close to where I work. the menagement team have made my experience so far worry free!

SUPERB!!!!
Overall, I am extremly impressed by the onsite managment at this apartment complex! Maintenance is great and always done in a timley matter and my apartment is wonderful. This complex is superb and I give it 5's all the way around!!
