Outrageous prices for certain things that do not need fees. Staff is unfriendly, not pleasant to work with. Staff also needs to be more organized when collecting rent and not sending out late payment papers when they have "misplaced" rent.

It was great leasing an apartment here at Brittany Commons, the staff here are great and very personable, that's what attracted me & my family here. We saw so many apartments in the neighborhood but it was only Brittany that had the quality we were looking for.

The staff was pleasant and did everything to help me move into the apartment. They offered good incentives to move-in at the end of the year, which was a trying time for me. The staff did not pressure me or try to sell the complex. They allowed the complex to sell itself.

I have just moved in to Brittany Commons and so far I love it! The area is quiet, clean, and beautiful. Office staff have been helpful and prompt. The grounds are very well kept. I feel my apartment is very comfortable and does not feel crampted.

I'm pretty sure MOST of these great reviews are done by employees in the office. This complex is a joke. Trash is always overflowing, gates NEVER work...ever. They shouldn't even be advertising as a "gated community" cause it's not. My car was locked and broken Into...I only had a charger in there but it was stolen. That's just the beginning...neighbors...hope you love them and getting to know them really well because your walls are paper thin. I can hear the guy below us learning how to play the guitar..he's gotten really good actually..besides that..I can hear his dog that he leaves locked up 16 hours a day bark beginning at 4:00 am and not stopping until whenever he decides to show up to take care of his dog. The people above us, well you would think it isn't people that love up there but fat vampires since they only Make noise from 6:00 pm until 7:00 am... And they sound like elephants. Who vacuums at 12:00 at night??!!! The people above us that's who. If you do happen to move in check your windows...we stupidly got a sunroom instead of balcony...every single window was not closed correctly and our apartment has been freezing until I finally realized they weren't "shut" properly...mind you they would Open close and lock but all 6 windows in our apartment were technically open 24/7...they are all broken!...next we have the appliances...the dryer has eaten about 15 outfits I own and about 95% of my newborn daughters onsies. It's not an emergency "they'll get to it when they can". Meanwhile I can't dry my clothes in my own apartment that I pay WAY TO MUCH FOR. The blinds are cheap and are all broken which I know we are going to be responsible for. Even though we only have opened the blinds a few times. Our bathtub has rotted out the bottom and they keep coming to "patch" it. I may get closer to the guitar player and his dog soon if they come patch it one more time. Oh! The cable...be prepared to only be able to get comcast unless your one of the few that can get a dish...on top of the fact Comcast sucks. The apartments weren't wired correctly for the cable now available and well...you'll have comcast out at least 3 times a month to fix someone thing because it doesn't read correctly...last but I'm sure not least...fleas. We moved in with NO PETS...started noticing bite marks On me a few months after we moved in..didn't think anything about it. Few months later (still no pets) our apt is infested with fleas. Crawling all over our newborn and eating us at night. I was crying and calling them and these birches tried to say it was us (we bought new furniture and still no pets) they took 2 weeks to get someone out to look. And made it a point to tell us how expensive it was going to be. ( like we didn't know what expensive was uhhhhh we pay for your ------ apartments I know what expensive is) I was able to live somewhere else for a week while we bombed and bombed and bombed and salted and made sure nothing could survive in the apartment and then get a call a week later saying "we had our bug guy check yesterday you don't have bugs" 1. Cause I just spent $100 on over the counter bug spray and bomb to kill them and 2. You had an unauthorized person come into our apartment without telling us 2 weeks after our initial complaint? Needless to say this place is a joke. You can go live off of fall hill avenue and get probably better quality care and be just as safe cause at least their gates work. Don't move here.

My overall experience is a good one. My move in process was easy and the leasing agent was great to work with. The maintenace issues I have experienced have been abundant and even though they have been addressed, some of them have taken more time than I would expect. I have noticed that there is a lack of follow through with some issues and lack of communication amongst the maintenace staff and office staff. My expectation is for me not to have to call repeatedly to inquire about the status of the maintenace issues I report.

It's a great complex, it is quiet, lots of room for the kids to play, conveniently located to schools and shopping. I've been here with my children for 3 years and would recommend this complex to friends.

I am not pleased with the latest maintenance repair. It took over a month to get out here and the rep left the door dragging on the tile. Furthermore, the original issues are still not addressed. I wish maintenance could get here in a timely fashion and fix areas of concern correctly the first time.

Overall, it has been a pleasant neighborhood. There are four things that have bothered me a little though. 1. I have had numerous spiders and 4 snakes enter my apartment. 2. The air conditioning unit freezes over, leaving my apartment at 78 degrees in the summer. 3. My bikes were stolen from the property. 4. The gate has worked for maybe 1 to 2 weeks in the past year. While I don't mind the gate not working because I find them somewhat inconvenient, it is a little bothersome that the neighborhood charges rental rates that are higher than other neighborhoods because of the amenities. However, if the amenities are not working, what is the difference?

My experience here has been absolutely perfect. I have no issues or concerns other than the gate security. The office has been very responsive as has the custodial staff. I picked the perfect place for me.

Outstanding office staff. Maintenance works are courteous and friendly with prompt response to work orders. The grounds are very well maintained and the pet waste stations always have plastic bags available. Trash and pet waste cans are always empty the following morning.

Beautiful, quiet, well-maintained community with great maintenance and office staff. Everyone has always been polite and they do a lot of activities for the residents. The apartments are large, very spacious and have tons of storage. I have rarely heard any of my neighbors through the walls or floors. Love it here!

I was lied too by staff regarding the commute, traffic from here to N. VA, I have seen and witnessed unprofessionalism and have had the need to have maintenance over to fix problems in the unit more times than should be. The exterior grounds are constantly littered with garbage, security gate rarely works and I constantly most park in visitors section due to lack of spots.

Overall we have had a good experience. I do not like that since I have a 3 bedroom apt that my water bill is automatically $60. The flat rate should go by the amount of people, not bedrooms. I have also had horrible luck with the majority of the neighbors that have moved into the apts around mine.

Clean community. Office staff is great. Ample amount of visitor parking spaces. Maintenance is timely and friendly. Layout of apartments are spacious and contains a lot of storage. Kids friendly community and very close to daycares and schools.

For the area, it's a fairly optimal value. The price is higher, but you get a lot of nice things. I've checked out most of the communities around here several times in the last 4 years, and I can never find a compelling enough reason to move out. There are occasions where I grit my teeth and swear they'll never get another dime out of me but I look around and realize..there's no where to go but way down (quality) or way up (price).

This is a great community. The staff is incredibly easy to work with and I believe this is one of the best apartments in Fredericksburg. I do wish this gated community would use the gate and that the rent would not increase so much each year.

The apartments themselves are nice, but we have had numerous problems with maintenance requests either being ignored or insufficiently addressed. We have had several maintenance problems that resulted either from issues in neighboring apartments or the connected air conditioning units and in many of these cases, the resulting damage could have been minimized had the maintenance or office staff notified us of problems elsewhere or worked to more permanently correct issues instead of doing the bare minimum to temporarily fix problems.
