For a place that states they are "luxury apartments" is truly mistaken. Every year when you sign your renewal lease agreement they give you a choice of some upgrade. They have yet to do what they say their going to do. I expect quality work, I get none of that.

    I have lived here for over a year and I really love this community. I love my apartment. If I could pick up my apartment and community and move it closer to Fort Belvoir where I work...I would. I have no regrets in moving here. I would do it again and definitely refer others to live here.

Your feedback is very helpful and allows me the opportunity to handle them as it has been brought to my attention. I will look into the printer that is located in the business center. I was not aware that the printer was not working properly. There may be times that a resident requests to use our printers due to the security of selective documents, however for the most part the printer should be available for the everyone's use. We make every effort to have the monthly breakfast on the first weekend of every month for each of you to enjoy and if for whatever reason those dates change we will notify the residents. We made changes to the coffee machine itself, however the options are still there for your morning brew of regular or decaf, hot chocolate or a cup of tea. Our team enjoys preparing the cookies and coffee throughout the day for you! Our additional utility payments are explained to each prospect that visits our community while looking for a new home. We make sure that the Water Addendum is reviewed for everyone's understanding. We set a flat rate for everyone based on the size of the apartment home you have. We do not base it on the number of people residing in the home. Our landscaping is one of the best features we have! We always look forward to the arrival of Spring. We can begin smelling the fresh cut grass and freshly bloomed flowers! Brittany Commons begins the landscaping in late April due to this being the rainiest month. Please understand that our gates and compactors, on occasions may be down, but we always work diligently towards getting those fixed in the timeliest fashion possible.         We love living here! Wonderful staff, spacious apartment, plenty of amenities, too. Brittany Commons offers great value for the money when renting. This is the closest you will come to resort living in the Fredericksburg area.

              Great staff, convenient, quiet. I was very pleased with my stay for 2yrs. I will recommend this community for anyone relocating into the area who need rental options. I would stay until I purchase but need a 4 bedroom home vs a 3 Bdrm Apartment

                The leasing staff are very helpful and try to work with your budget and move-in dates. There are an abundance of things to do on the property. The property ground are well maintained. It's secure. It's quiet. There is also an abundance of parking.

                    I moved to Virginia from Wisconsin and the staff at Brittany Commons made selection of apartments flawless! The office staff was quick with the paperwork and made it a very easy process. I had some maintenance issues when I first moved in but between the office staff and the maintenance staff they were very understanding and put my issue on the top of their list! The apartments and community is well maintained and everyone is very friendly. I would recommend these apartments to anyone.

                      Since moving in, our only issue has been a dryer that did not work properly. It was replaced with another dryer that worked. The office and maintenance staff are courteous, professional, and caring. We like the location and are glad we moved here.

                        The apartment itself is a beautiful complex which consists of 5 playgrounds, a walking/running trail, 2 pools, and a fitness center. Moving into my apartment I was overrun with roaches and many maintenance issues which should have been taken care of prior to my family moving in. Since the move we have had a lot of problems with our apartment: our front door doesn't close right and leaves a huge gap which lets cold air in (they "can't" fix this), our washing machine shreds our clothes (they "can't" fix this either), my daughters bedroom windows seal has been broken since we moved in and it lets a lot of cold air in her room (they would have to special order the part which they "can't" do), etc. The staff at the apartments do not communicate with each other. When we originally went to look at apartments we were told one price for the apartment. When we went to put a deposit down we were told another price. When we went to sign the lease we were told an even higher price and took it since we already had the deposit down and it wasn't refundable. Overall, it's a roof over our head and a place to keep our stuff but I will be finding somewhere else to live come the time my lease is up.

                            Originally had no problems with this community, aside from the fact that's it's made out to be a lot nicer than it really is. Its main pro is supposed to be that it's a gated community (as well as the pools,community events,etc.). But the "gated community" and the extra money you pay for it,is ridiculous. In all actuality anyone can get into the gate. And once it's opened all people do is follow one another through the gate. It will let 20 people in with only one person hitting the passcode. How secure is that?! I wouldn't mind if I wasn't paying the extra 200-300 a month for the gate. I've had a few small problems with maintenance and the people who do landscaping. Every time they do landscaping they blow tons of grass onto my pourch and my car. So I spend a good thirty minutes cleaning my pourch off and pay good money to get my car cleaned. Its not a once in awhile thing. They once power washed the deck above mine and didn't ask me to take my furniture inside. The mud from above got all over my patio furniture and patio. I ended up having to wash all of my furniture cushions,wiped my furniture and plant down as well as the siding of my apartment,that was covered in mud as well. They never once offered to help me clean up the mess, or to power wash my patio. I'm not one to complain, EVER but I've put up with a lot at this place. And don't think it's worth the money I pay every month. For the price I pay, I could have a house with a fenced in back yard and 2/3 bedrooms (hence what I'm doing when my lease is up). The place isn't bad as far as the apartments themselves,on the inside but it's definitely made out to be a lot nicer than it really is. Wish I didn't have to give a bad review because I really had high hopes for this place. If the price was 200-300 cheaper I would have no complaints (aside from maintenance not doing we their job)!

                                Very nice, clean community. Most residents are friendly but there is no congregating in hallways and doorways which was very important to me. I leave early in the morning to commute to Falls Church and I feel pretty safe being out by myself at that hour. Most people are fairly quiet professionals.

                                    Nice and safe community. Apartments have large rooms. Walking trails and playgrounds are kept up. Visitor parking fills up fast but there is plenty of resident parking. The office staff is friendly and extremely helpful! Maintenance responds quickly to issues!

                                            Besides the maint. being slow to respond. I enjoy living in the community. The gate works 80% of the time, but the area I stay in has been very peaceful, so it really haven't been a problem up to this point. The rent is a little on the pricey side, but all and all I'm happy.

                                              Dear Valued Resident, Thank you very much for bringing your concerns to my attention and providing me the feedback. This allows me the opportunity to address the situations and correct them in a timely manner. Our maintenance staff strive to be diligent and efficient with all work performed. Our policy is to have to have work orders completed in a 48 hour timeframe unless there are emergencies that need attention. If you have submitted a work order and it has not been completed within this timeframe please contact me and I will follow up with the request and ensure it is handled as soon as possible. We are a gated community and I make every effort to ensure the gates are working. The gates have been working properly for the last 6 months with the exception of a few days that maintenance needed to be performed. During high winds and inclement weather the gates MUST remain open to avoid any damage towards any vehicle. Brittany Commons is a community that has a lot to offer to our residents as well as their friends and families! Our annual community events gives our residents the time to relax, mingle, and get to know their neighbors and the entire Brittany Commons staff.                                               The apartments are clean and well maintained. The staff in the office and maintenance are courteous. The grounds are kept in good condition. My only issue is that the gates do not work properly all the time and are left open. Residents should be made aware of those issues.

                                                  When I first moved in I mentioned cracks in walls, peeling vinyl in bathroom and ceiling fan plate falling...no one ever followed up. However they did come fix a light fixture and pilot light issues. So its half and half. Hate when the gates are not working...for a while there they've been great but looks like they are broke again. Overflowing trash is crazy too; perhaps they need more containers.

Your feedback allows me to address and correct any concerns that you are experiencing. If you have requested a work order to be completed and have not had a member of our maintenance team to your home please contact me as soon as possible. We try to address work orders in a 48 hour time frame. Emergencies will always take first priority. Our gates have been working properly since March with the exception of 1 week for the gates to remain open near the clubhouse to address an issue. They are very temperamental and may need attended to periodically because they take on a lot of wear and tear. Trash is definitely unsightly and our maintenance team makes every effort to ensure that the compactors are maintained throughout the week. Unfortunately there are occasions items are disposed of in the compactor other than household trash and /or boxes that need to be taken to the local landfill. This makes it extremely difficult to compact our trash compactors. Please notify a member of our staff in the office should you see that the compactors need immediate attention. We take pride in our community and want each and every resident to be proud of the community they reside in. We have a lot amenities to offer, fun events for our residents, family, and friends to enjoy! Please join us for our upcoming Fall Festival! We hope to see you there!
