Lived there over 3 yrs good experience overall. Amenities are nice. Office and maintenance personal are helpful. Parking can be an issue. NEIGHBORING apt building had one family with four cars and took multiple spots and residents park in visitor parking. Not enforced.

I love living in this apartment complex! It is safe and everything is here?walking trails, gym, pools, and multiple playgrounds. Restaurants and shopping are nearby! Everyone is very friendly in the office. The only negative I have found is the communication between the office staff and maintenance. I often have to call two or three times before the work order is correctly put through. Which in turn means I have something in my apartment not working properly for a week or two at a time.

The apartment complex needs to do some maintenance updates, I had to put in several request for items I believe if normal maintenance/updates were done the maintenance requests wold not been necessary. The offive safe is friendly. The pool should be opener longer than Memorial Day to Labor Day, it's hotter past labor day. The rent needs to stop increasing. The appliances in the apartment are cheap and basic.

If you like for your trash to be pick up at your door step Brittany Commons Apartment is the place to leases they also have themes on different holidays at club house and a nice gym and coffee and sometimes cookies

RENTERS BEWARE!!! I have lived here since 2013. i have always paid my rent on time and never given the apt complex any issues. My reason for writing this is my recent experience with the Leasing office. My lease was up in September, I had already opted to do another 12 month lease. Before i received the lease paperwork, My sister and her 2 sons were forced to leave an abusive situation and move back home. We were trying find a place to live for her, her children and myself and my child, however, my time was short. So, i went into the office on a Saturday to discuss my situation with a leasing agent. The lady was very understanding, and it boiled down to whether or not i signed my 12 month lease, or went month to month. It was explained to me that i should just sign the 12 month lease as long as i was good with giving 60 days notice, vs 30 days with the month to month, which cost additional money. I was told it was silly to do month to month as long as i could give 60 days notice, which i was good with. So I signed the lease, and around 2 weeks later i filled out the form she gave me, and hand delivered it to the office. A week later i received a letter telling me all the things that must be done along with a $2500 bill due immediately as i was breaking my lease. I called the office and spoke Valerie, i was completely distraught and she assured me that something would be worked out, that she had to call the corporate office to get approval. This was on a Friday, she said to not worry and enjoy my weekend. Monday came and went, no call. Tuesday, no call, i called and got voicemail, plus i sent an email. Wednesday came, no call, no reply to my email, I emailed again. Thursday, came, no call, and finally i received an email stating due to Federal Law, nothing could be done. I was told that the delay was because they were waiting on a reply from the Corporate office in DC, this was just another lie. The lady that made the final call is onsite, they knew they had me, so they just let me sweat.So i had to withdraw my notice to vacate, my sister and her 2 children are sharing a 2 bedroom home with my parents and i am here for one more year. I was told, the penalty,was written in the lease, to which i replied, i spoke to your leasing agent and she said nothing about a penalty, to which she stated, well you should have read your lease before you signed it.

The apartment complex is great. The facilities are very well maintained that the staff is friendly and very helpful. The community is very peaceful and every one is extremely nice. I have enjoyed my time here so far and i would definitely recommend Brittany Commons Apartments.

I used to love Brittany commons. The place is nice and clean and has clean pools. They aren't open very long hours but it is clean. My only problem here is the staff, although friendly, not helpful. I moved into an apartment the previous buyers turned down, I should've asked more questions. The people who live above us are terrors. Constantly stomping around and jumping off things way into the late night and early morning, like 430-5am. I've sent several emails to Brittany commons and have even spoke face to face with them. Their solution? Move ME, not to problem house, or have ME pay 5,000 dollars to break the lease so my family can finally get some sleep. Seems fair....... Really disappointed with how they have handled this sotuation. Meanwhile, my two year old gets no sleep at night and hardly gets naps, while the family upstairs has a continuous family reunion party upstairs and might even have a bowling alley up there.

We are brand new to Brittany Commons. The staff and repair technicians are effective and efficient and maintaining the grounds and the apartment. With the heat of Fredericksburg, it would be great if the pool were open beyond Labor Day. But so far its a great place to live.

Quiet, nice and clean grounds, playground is nice and clean, nice area to walk and run, good area for the pets, have plenty of parking spaces, there are some friendly people some stay to themselves, I would recommend a friend or family member to live here.

Very nice. We will be moving out on the 16th of February. Our new address, as you have on file, is 365 Proclamation Drive, Apt. 2316, Winchester, Virginia. Cell phone service is spotty there, so the best way to contact us is by email. Smooth Transitions is cleaning the apartment.

My first impression with Brittany Commons was a complex that was well maintained with great amenities: two pools, tennis courts, a soccer field, a baseball diamond, walking paths, etc. The floor plans were spacious, and the unit I ultimately rented must be double insulated because I hear nothing. I should also add that my view looks over woods, and I'm treated to a beautiful sunset every evening. Obviously, I cannot speak for other units in the complex, but all of my neighbors are friendly, talkative and all welcomed me with gracious introductions and sincere smiles. All of those things make for a wonderful living experience, and I'm sure you could find similar amenities at other apartment complexes (But not at the same value and price point. I did do my homework.) What you will not find in those other complexes is the quality of the staff at Brittany Commons. From the maintenance men to the life guards, you always get polite and genuine greetings, and all are willing to help you in any way they can. However, there is one staff member that deserves special attention, Tammy Cooke Her title is Leasing Specialist, but that title is so inadequate in describing what she does for the tenants. She is one of those rare people who when talking with you makes you feel like you're the most important person in the entire complex. She is very professional and responsive to the various tenant issues that arise, but I cannot list all the times she has gone out of her way to help me in ways that really had nothing to do with my apartment. She is a true blessing and has made Brittany Commons truly feel like home.

The grounds, pool clubhouse are adequate and are kept clean. The staff here is. VERY friendly and attentive. The location is good as well, plenty of shopping and 15 minutes Of Old Town Fredericksburg and the VRE/AMTRACK. Bring your own que stick though, they do not maintain there's at all, no tip on the one that they do have!!!

I've enjoyed living here. The office staff and the maintenance staff are very friendly and helpful. They make sure to schedule events for the people in this community to attend that are fun and help us get to know each other. Maintenance issues are usually handled quickly and effectively.

So far not good. Nothing has been done to my home yet and its been a week. House was handed dirty. Certain things need to be fixed. No feedback from leasing office. Very disassisfied at the lack of communication. Also Problem with my rent total.Credits need ti be applied.

Excellent maintenance service. Staff is friendly and courteous. Safe and quiet neighborhood. First time renting in this area, and I liked the easy access for my child to take the school bus. Being a gated community is a plus as I feel safe.

Bottom line: I have lived in some of the worst and best places throughout my military career. I don't complain about the worst places because I was getting what I paid for. At Brittany Commons you do not get what you pay for. You get charged a premium price to live around drug addicts, have your privacy violated multiple times, and drive past garbage everyday. Their online reviews are inflated. I work in the tech field. This complex has a higher number of total reviews than any other apartment complex I've researched in more frequented areas like DC and Richmond. Statistically speaking that makes no sense, then I started reading through the reviews and it becomes apparent that the staff are submitting the reviews. How about I take care of each category Noise: You'd better get the highest floor possible and don't place beds along walls that are shared with another apartment. I can't tell you how many times I was woken up by the noise from my upstairs neighbor or my daughter climbing in my bed due to the noise of the neighbors on the other side of us. Grounds: I drove past an overflowing garbage pile almost everyday on my way to work. Safety: 5 Maintenance workers showed up at my door one day without any sort of uniform on or ID saying they were there to change the shower heads. I sent them away because I received no notice and I couldn't verify their identities. The apartment never sent a follow up so I assumed that I had avoided a scary situation but then a couple weeks later I followed up with them and in fact they had sent an unannounced crew to my home. Neighborhood: It's close to a grocery store. Maintenance: The maintenance staff did everything the Admin staff asked them to, which included: changing my mailbox lock without notifying me, entering my home MULTIPLE TIMES without notifying me and I hadn't placed a work order, and showing up completely unannounced. Staff: They continuously input erroneous Work Orders in against my home that someone else was calling in for their residence. I complained multiple times, they apologized and then continued to give me no notice when someone would enter my home, finally I called the investment group that owns them, action was taken and then it happened again so I moved out. By Virginia state law they are required to notify you if you did not put in a work order.

Other than the high rent , shabby snow removal, terrible parking situation (each unit should be assigned 2 parking spots, 1 close to the unit and another on the back side of unit lot. If not home by 8 pm you will more than likely have to park far from your apartment ) it seems that it's all about making a dollar for the complex. Charging to have a parking spot close to where you pay so much to stay is robbery and the touchy matinance it's a fine place to stay.

Tammy was very professional and all around great and very responsive. She made everything very easy for me and my family prior to and including move in. The grounds seem very clean and kept up very well. I do like how much lighting there is on the property at night.
