I really enjoy City Lights Apartments. The staff is very helpful and courteous. We have lived here for 3 years in different locations just for a change of pace and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. The pools are nice and package program is awesome. I have only great things to say.

We lived here for the last 4 years and are moving in 2 months. We have watched this place deteriorate into a ------ and a zoo. Since they now allow dogs in every building it seems everyone has one, often even 2 or 3 per unit. The barking noise is nonstop. Cannot sleep. Cannot concentrate. Cannot relax. Cannot even have a phone conversation. It is that bad. The people who live here now are scummy, ------------------ criminal types. Many are up all hours walking around while on drugs looking for things to steal. Between all the dogs and the trashy people we have decided to move to one of the other complexes down the street with obvious higher standards. We cannot recommend living here. Look elsewhere trust me it's better.

I moved here 15 years ago. Overall - a good experience. Good neighbors. Don't have time to type in 200 characters. so will repeat: I moved here 15 years ago. Overall, a good experience. Neighbors have been good.

The loud car exhaust noise keeping everyone up is coming from a maintenance worker's son revving his megaphone coffee can muffler designed only for making noise on an old p.o.s. ------------------------- for 30 to 40 minutes at a time throughout the night and daytime. Since the parking garage is a concrete box it creates an echo chamber that sets off dozens of car alarms. The exhaust is totally illegal and the office staff has been told for months about about the noise problem but obviously they don't care. Apparently the cityights worker's son has nothing better to do as this is a daily occurrence. The staff here is totally useless about the noise and other problems like vandalism and smoking issues so prior to moving when your lease expires i suggest complaining directly to the corporate office at and maybe they can replace the useless office staff with people who actually take care of problems.

Obviously, we love living at City Lights! Thfe office staff, the porters, and the maintenance staff are professional, polite, and well qualified. The location is the best. I joke around that we live in a resort, or on a cruise ship! "What do we feel like doing for entertainment today, and what dining rooms do we want to dine in today?" So many great choices!

Very poor customer service and work ethics! They may force you to change your apartment and won't help you financially. I used to have a pool view apartment but one day they forced me to move to different building. I wanted to move out but they threaten me with the fees. So had to stay

City Lights is safe, clean and quiet. The tenants are friendly and the office staff are very professional and always willing to help. All maintenance issues are addressed quickly and effectively by educated and friendly workers. Great location to restaurants, shops, movies and not far from Laguna Beach.

We lived here for six years and upon move-out and after their "walk though" tour of the apartment in order to assess any damages or move out fees we were told there would not be any charges as the apartment is the same condition as the day they rented it to us. Okay that makes sense. After settling back in NJ we received a past due bill from Shea Properties which included painting and re-carpeting fees which were to the tune of 600 bucks. We are disputing this. We wanted to let the public know how they really do things at this property. They are scum, sorry had to be blunt.

I visited this community and then checked the reviews online. I find it very odd that there are so many bad reviews. However I also find it odd that there are positive reviews posted on Christmas Day about this property. Obviously these are employees. Unless you are paid to work on Christmas day why would you? I think that most of the positive reviews here are fake. From this determination we don't feel that the property management is all that transparent or very honest. We will not be renting here that's for sure!

Not a very selective community, (Shea seems to rent mostly to the struggling lower class) the people that live here are rude and inconsiderate. The Staff is also rude and inconsiderate and don't seem to have any diplomacy or tact whatsoever. The maintenance here is really a sham. 48 hours to get ANYTHING done. They determine what your priorities are. Oh and there is NO security here whatsoever, Cars going through the EXIT side of the community !!! Who are these people??? The staff just says to call the police ...Oh Okay?? WTF. Sorry for trying to let you know that I don't feel very safe here. What idiots. I do not recommend.

The staff are friendly and the area is very impressive! The complex is clean and looks like a resort! The apartments are very spacious and the patio is the biggest I have seen in an apartment. Community feel plus all the amenities and entertainment of a resort hotel.

Helpful staff at the leasing office. Maintenance staff has always been great in addressing any service requests. The property sponsors a number of community events and are well attended. The ones I've attended have been great. I would attend more often if I could. Location of the property is great. Close to shops, restaurants, and freeways.

Highly recommend City Lights! The entire team is very attentive and helpful. I like that the City Lights crew are proactively looking for ways to improve our community. That shows me that City Lights is interested in our opinions and want the living experience here more comfortable.

Don't Bother. You will have no privacy, we found hidden cameras which the staff watch all day. Too many kids , Dogs. The Staff here is extremely curious about the affairs of others very prying and meddlesome. We are glad to be gone.

We have loved City Lights so far. The amenities are great and the units themselves are nice and spacious. Since there is carpet, you can really only hear the people above you in the kitchen or bathrooms. It's much quieter in comparison to other apartments we have lived in. We have met many great neighbors here, as well.

A satisfactory experience although the buildings are showing their age and appliance are dreadful. Office staff are outstanding! I think that the balance of cost versus quality of staying here is very favorable.

The last reviewer "highly recommends". What a joke. It's obviously another fake 5 star review by the idiots in the front office. What they won't tell you is Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been conducting weekly 5am raids on this dump due to the same fools renting almost exclusively to illegal aliens in the last year. It's quite a sight to watch 8 to 10 illegals all living in a one bedroom apartment being led off in handcuffs. It's probably the same staff turning them in to collect the reward.

we've loved living at City Lights for the last 3 years. The community and our apartment have all the amenities we need. In-unit laundry, central heating and air, dishwasher, gas stove, ample parking, great pools and hot tubs, and a gym just to name a few. Highly recommend!

It's Thursday Nov. 16th at 12:58 am. Woken up again by the motorcycle gangmember guy driving up the parking structure to the 4th floor. This entire side of the complex has been listening to him for the last 7 minutes driving up. Almost every single car alarm is sounding off because the noise is so extreme and echoes throughout the concrete parking structure. If the dishonest dimwits in the front office wanted to stop an entire 1/2 of the complex getting disturbed every night at 12:50 to 1am they would follow the guy up to where he parks on the 4th floor and evict this biker criminal. The reason they haven't done anything about this guy and his friends is they simply don't care.

Barking dogs all day all night, loud weeknight parties that last until 6am, a motorcycle gang and all their noisy bikes, car burglary and vandalism, smelly dog feces literally everywhere, homeless people they allow to live in the stairwells and bushes, a 6am leafblower, crazy drug addicts roaming thru the complex, water being shut off for 2 days at a time, water ceiling leaks and mold, a staff threatening to evict you if you try to complain, very thin walls, cheap appliances that keep breaking, marijuana smoke creeping into your unit, way overpriced rent for the size. What's good about this place? Nothing

I was considering moving here last weekend but the racist staff made it clear that whites are not welcome. I overheard them talking when I walked in. Guess they didn't know I was standing there for 3 minutes. The things they said were so horrible I won't bother to repeat it. And another thing. This place is supposed to be smoke free. That is a lie. I even saw two of the staff smoking right outside the building in the hallway before they came in to the office. What a joke this place is. I'll be checking out the other complexes 1 block away from here instead.

Excellent community, great staff. Dog friendly neighborhood, close to the GREAT PARK, perfect for dogs and close to a major shopping/experience center. Has everything we need/want: close to shopping, the beach, toll road, freeway, multiple pools, BBQ's, great gym and additional yoga/excercise Room and business center. Staff is always pleasant and the neighborhood always looks great and fresh when I pull in and come home. We are extremely glad we moved here.

It's Thursday day later. The motocycle guy decided to come home a little later. Same routine...extremely loud illegal open pipes revving up as loud as he can...numerous car alarms going off for 10 minutes...obviously woke me up again as well as everyone else no doubt as it is LOUD. Do something you dbags besides posting fake 5 star reviews about yourselves on here.

Here it is 1am on a wednesday night. One of the many loud motorcycle gangmembers came home. How do I know this? It woke me up again as it always does. I'm sitting here listening to the motorcycle make its 10 minute climb to the top as at least 50 car alarms have been set off again as he rides by. Why oh why won't the idiots in the front office do anything about this?
