I have had a great time living here. If there was ever an issue that I needed solved the maintenance people would come immediately to fix the problem. I don't think we went longer than a day without having an issue fixed. I like the location of our place and that we can walk down to town center any time of the night.

Great location and staff. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family or anybody that want to leave 15 mm in away from the beach or right next to one of the most complete malls we have in this area.

Nightmare of drug use/lab
As others have stated there are multiple drug labs known for several months by management (---- -----) that are allowed to operate on the property. One of the worst is located in unit ---- where he allows meth and marijuana hash oil to be manufactured and used. The drug smoke from the junkies who are allowed to gather here and use drugs is literally 24 hours a day. The management has received complaints from multiple residents yet has done nothing at all to stop it. In fact, as the junkies know nothing will ever be done the use has sharply increased and has forced the neighbors to inhale and have their health affected by the use of marijuana, meth, and whatever other chemical smells are flowing out of this unit. Everyone nearby is living in fear of when the building will blow up from all the hazardous and explosive chemicals that are allowed to be used. If you are one of the many residents affected by this don’t hesitate to drop an email to join us in the lawsuit being prepared as the neighbors have had quite enough.

Moved in a month ago and haven't had a decent night of sleep yet due to loud cars, motorcycles, and barking dogs in the early hours of the morning. Fleas everywhere. Can't walk anywhere without smelling urine or feces or without getting bit by fleas. What a dump this place is.

As I logged in to sign the lease my rent was increased $13 per month. Thats about $170 dollars over my lease period. When I asked about it the topic was quickly written off as an unfortunate change and could not be reversed.

Very good location, close to shopping and entertainment. Close proximity to the Toll Road 73. Nicely maintained grounds. First floor apartment near parking structure can be very noisy. Guest parking spaces are limited on lower floors of parking structure.

All the real reviews have been getting removed and the fake 5 star reviews from the city lights staff remain. Must have paid off this site to cover up all the motorcycle/car and dog barking noise that has plauged this complex. Constant barking and dog feces everywhere. I'm sure this review will get removed as well to fool you with more phone 5 star ones put up by the dishonest dolts in the front office.

So far service and staff have been great, grounds well maintained. Only request is more Courtesy Patrol in main drive way as many nights there is lot of action from neighbors guest parking. Loud and disrupting of sleep.

Very satisfied with the leasing office personnel specially with the manager that personally took the time of showing me the property and the apartments available based on my needs. The leasing process and contract was as described.

Great community and property. Very well kept and clean. I've loved the over all community and property with little complaints. Parking is not always favorable with small children but the elevators are very helpful. Maintainace has always been good and prompt when needed. My biggest complaint would be towards parking and random fire alarms (always late at night waking my kids)

Great staff, accommodations, and a sense of community. Very clean enviornment. Never had any issues with the neighbors or staff. Only issue maybe the wifi signal if you are on the bottom floor. Parking has never been an issue for you or guests.

Like many others, I was swayed by the beautiful pools and palm trees. I do not recommend living here if you enjoy quiet, functioning appliances, or parking near your home. PROS: -Beautiful pools x3 -Close to town center and movie theater -Cool local events at the park nearby CONS: -EXPENSIVE rent for very little return -The access gate is a joke, there is only one way in and the door is open all the time except for when it breaks and will not open. -No loading zones. There is nowhere to unload your car so you either have to risk it by parking at a red curb (which everyone does) or hoof it to your car with 5 bags of groceries. I see people with little kids struggling all the time trying to load/carry kids. -Parking is ridiculous. You get one designated spot per apartment and can't buy anymore. If you get home after 3 PM on the weekdays, you will park on the 3rd floor and up. After 7 PM and you're on the 4th or 5th floors. -All the appliances are old and break often. Fridge and laundry are not included in the apartment. -Apartments are not updated either in look or appliances. -They have food trucks and fitness classes every once in a while, but they don't usually communicate with anyone via email/Facebook/phone so nobody actually knows when they are. -Just tons of people all the time. Tons of entitled people who see no issue with almost running you over. -Parcel lockers - I thought this was cool at first, but it's actually really annoying because they give you anywhere from 3-7 days to pick it up (not sure why the range) before they charge you for storage. They also will say you have an oversized package (even if it's not oversized at all) and you have to pick it up. -Office staff- these people are idiots. Seriously, I don't know how they ever got jobs. They don't seem to understand basics like YOU MUST TELL ME BEFORE ENTERING MY APARTMENT. Overall, I would not recommend living here.

City Lights Apartments in Aliso Viejo is a great community. The office and maintenance staff are very friendly and respond quickly to issues needing to be addressed. They also keep the grounds and building well maintained.

You will get to know your neighbors very quickly since you can hear every thing in the paper thin walls and floors. We were promised otherwise by the office staff and complaints we disregarded when following up

Super convenient location; within walking distance to everything! There is always room at one of the pools and the other amenities are great! Noisy neighbors are an issue, especially near the pool since many people don't seem to care about quiet hours. I'm not a huge fan of how long the gates stay open; I often am able to drive right in without using my fob which doesn't make the community feel very secure but I've had no issues with theft or anything of the sort (as in reviews I read before I moved in) only issues with door-to-door sales types. I could potentially love it here if people were respectful of rules and/or the rules were enforced but so far, this has not generally been the case. In fairness, the office staff has always addressed my concerns/complaints quickly, it is the after-hours security company that doesn't seem to be doing its job.

Dirty halls. Barking dogs. Loud cars. Urine smell from all the homeless people living here. Fleas. Car and apartment burglaries. Maintenance worker on Megan's Law list. Low class office workers who get in your private business to screw around with you. City lights is a true s-hole.

The ------------- maintenance workers have been breaking into the units when residents are away at work. When inside they are searching for social security cards, driver's licenses, passports, etc. to either steal or take a picture for the purpose of identity theft. Several workers have been caught on home security cameras. The front office workers have not been cooperative and have been lying to investigators to cover this up. In fact they are clearly posting fake 5 star reviews on here to cover up the theft from their ------------- workers. Beware. Keep your valuables with you when you leave. The -------- watch your schedule.
