Been great so far! Moved in almost two month ago and have had no issues with this property! Staff is very courteous and polite. Grounds are extremely well kept. Apartment is very great value for what you get.

As I've said, the staff is your best feature, they are kind, patient and friendly. The Maintenace people are so helpful. But my dishwasher smells and I get here, use this cleaner that I can get at the store, doesn't help. Just frustrating.

Overall I've had a good experience at this community, my family and I have been living here for years. My only complaint is that it's very expensive to maintain living here. The cost of my 2 bed 2 bath is as much as renting a full separated house in the same area.

This apartment complex is very nice with great amenities, but the prices are very high. Despite what you get for the cost, I don't feel that the prices are worth it. Staff was very nice, the property was well maintained, and the homes felt super homey.

City Lights is one of the best communities to live at. The office staff is great and are very helpful and responsive. Kudos to the maintenance staff, they make sure all the issues are fixed on time with least inconvenience. The location is perfect, you will find a town centre right next to the apartment community. The only drawback would be for EV owners, the community doesnt provide any EV charging stations. But overall i would definitely recommend choosing city lights.

City lights has been my favorite place I've ever lived. The front office staff is always happy to help. Maitenance is insanely quick, they are there the same day or latest very next day if you submit at night. Everyone is friendly. AMPLE COVERED parking, clean always, trash is always taken out, they run this place great. Thanks

Fire alarms randomly going off at all hours, construction work being done throughout the day if you are home during the week go somewhere else, bugs and rodents, windows in bedroom mold if you don't open the window and clean with bleach, too expensive

The leasing agent was extremely helpful and professional. She spent a lot of time with me, even though I was not ready to make any decisions right away. There was no pressure which was nice. I will definitely keep city lights in mind when it is time to move.

A unique characteristic of City Lights is access to walkable stores, restaurants and events. Increasingly this is important to improving health and avoiding the hassle of driving, in addition there is the "Blue Zone" effect to those of us who live here. I hope to be able to continue to live here, and eager for new gym facilities and all the rennovation.

This is a good apartment in a great area. They are a bit older and that brings some issues, but the maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues. Rents are overpriced compared to the amenities availabilities.

The community is very nice. The management staff is courteous and professional. Maintenance staff are very good at their jobs and handle repairs cleanly, efficiently, and are very nice as well. It's good to see that Shea reinvests in apartments through continuous improvement and renovations. The area is very wonderful too. So many shops and restaurants are just a 5 minute walk away. Very pleased all around.

Overall has been a good experience except for the regular maximum rent increases (10% in first year and 8.8% in the second). Also, the main pool, gym and BBQ area are currently under construction with an unknown completion time which limits the facilities available.

Helpful and friendly staff. Any maintenance requests is complete within couple of days. The city lights is in prime location and the shopping complex is easily accessible. My patio views are fantastic. Overall excellent community! I highly recommend to any one who is on apartment hunt

Community is attractive looking and well arranged. Staff is friendly, maintenance staff is excellent. Everyone is very helpful when moving in. Floors and walls are thin so noise from neighbors can be a problem. Dog noise and leavings are an issue. Rent will increase greatly each year (with exception of first year of pandemic).

We've only lived here almost a month but the leasing process was very efficient and easy. We got approved within the same day. Apartment was upgraded and modern, love the high ceilings. You will unfortunately hear noise from neighbors but this is apartment living, it's not the property's fault. Maintenance is quick and very nice. Overall we have enjoyed our apartment here so far.

I was prompted to write this review because I just had a maintenance issue fixed by Francisco the other day. 5 stars to Francisco and all the other maintenance people that has attended to something in my unit. So here I am writing my personal review of City Lights, thats long overdue actually. So.. Life at City Lights for the past 15 months have been very nice and pleasant. I Truly mean that because the office staff and maintenance team really makes a big difference here in providing the best quality living possible. They are professional, friendly and prompt at handling any issues I had, like cigarette smoke from a neighbor unit. 5 stars to Linda! Shes always so nice and been there for me to make living at City Lights so pleasant since day one! And the manager, hes fantastic! Maintenance issues are fixed promptly and in a friendly and professional manner. The maintenance people are great at what they do and most of them have over 25 years of experience. Landscaping is so beautifully taken care of. When you get a chance, take a walk around the complex and you will see how nice they keep the plants, fountains, pool areas and grounds. Yes the gardeners will be loud with their garden machines but that's why the grounds looks so well taken care of. Additionally you will here some construction noise as they remodel the old units and turn them into beautiful modern, new units like the one I'm in. It's worth it because the remodeled units are so nice, well done and good quality. I love my remodeled unit . I love the soft closed cabinets and drawers , all the brand new appliances and brand new water saving toilet with the soft closed lid and seat. I love the floors and the new carpet and the modern style fixtures and the big stainless steal kitchen sink. So easy to wash pots and pans in. Brand new everything. And good quality made too I must say. Oh and the parking has never been a problem for me and my guest ever here at any time of day or night at City Lights. I'm so thankful for that and so grateful to have a great experience living here. They are also currently remodeling a brand new club house , main pool area and the fitness gym. I'm sure it's going to be pretty neat and upgraded! The last thing I want to mention is how much I enjoyed taking walks around this area and so close to the Town Center! Aliso viejo is so beautiful and the Town Center and park is so fun to hang out at, get food, drinks, shopping, etc. So fun! That's been my personal experience so far and I hope that this review will help someone with their decision to whether or not to have a life here at City Lights.

I was extremely excited to move into city lights. But that changed quickly. We had only been here a week when a neighbor left a nasty note on my car about my parking. While I don't think this is on City Lights it was the beginning of a bad experience to come. Unbeknownst to us without any warning the leasing office was moved into an apartment 3 doors down from me as they are renovating the main pool/gym/only area to entertain. None of this was disclosed to me upon moving in and when I expressed my concern with the office staff the responses I received were very condescending. "What's inconvenient about it." That's when I knew it was going down hill. The front gate was unlocked 24/7 when they claimed it was only during business hours. Which regardless is a complete safety issue. Everyone now has access to my apartment. When I told them nothing was done for over a month. As residents we pay astronomical prices to be lied to. I did not sign a lease to live next to the leasing office/mail room where there is now heavy foot traffic unlocked doors and non residential access. I'm truly saddened how my high hopes for this community were demolished.

So far it's classy but there is a lot of dog poop everywhere in the grass areas that people don't pick up and it makes dogs sick. Maybe get a service to have dog poop service pick up. The gates don't open or read the transponder that well either

It has been great! Well maintained, courtesy staff, great amenities. The location is fantastic as well. Being able to walk to Town Center for shopping and entertainment is a major plus! I highly recommend City Lights.
