Living at Creekside

Living at Creekside at Highlands Ranch When we made the decision to downsize, we discovered it was not just about reducing square footage, it was about opening the door to an easier way of living. Of course, my wife and I had our doubts about moving from our house. Downsizing from a large house with a beautiful backyard and a dozen trees to a 1,200-square-foot apartment was a big leap. At first, I wondered if we would feel cramped or miss the old routines, but the transition turned out to be the right decision. Life became less demanding --- no yard work, snow shoveling, or urgent calls to expensive contractors. We found more free time to relax on our patio with scenic golf course and foothill views. We learned to let go of the constant demands of homeownership and shifting our focus onto what truly matters, our time and our happiness. So, we decided to share our free time and went out and adopted a rescue dog ---- improving her life, too! Some of our friends shook their heads saying we were not building equity; I choose not to counter. I just smile, knowing that instead of paying steep insurance payments, outrageous taxes, and all the money to maintain a home and backyard, I put those funds in my Schwab account! Some of the extras were new to us: Trash and recycling are conveniently collected at our doorstep five nights per week. Also, while the gated entry is not flawless, it still helps us feel safer in our new community. We found the maintenance team to e exceptional, just a call away, 24/7, and consistently responsive, whether its for a quick fix or an unexpected emergency. Besides being competent, if necessary, they will call in outside contractors. Imagine receiving a new Water Heater and not receive a bill! Summer at Creekside really elevated my daily life spending time at the pool. The area has vibrant flowers, plenty of comfy lounge chairs, a BBQ grill, and an outdoor bubbling hot tub that is open year-round. Floating in the pool with a view of the golf course made me feel like I was on vacation. The exercise room is next to the pool and features equipment like those in major health clubs, but without spending monthly dues. Our experience with the leasing agent was and still is extremely positive. We found a genuine, caring, sociable and expressive individual interested in helping us. Consequently, we overlooked the broader onsite management team's approach and skills. Fortunately, we soon realized that onsite management is proactive and genuinely cares about solving problems and building a sense of community. When we needed a new appliance, it was replaced. That decision made us feel like the staff genuinely cares about maintaining the upscale quality that Creekside promises. This sentiment has been reinforced with sponsored events, and notices to the community about painting exteriors, fixing asphalt, or other activities to improve the surroundings. When Spring rolls around, there will be a new sprinkler system in place to ensure lush lawns in areas that were dry and it will support young, planted trees. For pet owners, Creekside offers a small fenced-in dog park. While it may not be large enough for running, it provides a safe, off-leash space for dogs to sniff and socialize. Additionally, the outdoor dog bath grooming station is especially practical during warmer months. Life at Creekside feels relaxed and easygoing. We enjoy walking our dog along the golf course, and as bird watchers, it is a pleasure to see different varieties gathering at the feeder. The evenings are special, too, taking in the sight of flocks of geese gliding down onto the golf course during inspiring and vibrant Colorado sunsets. Our move led us to discover many joys that make us appreciate our good fortune.

My experience at Creekside Way has been very good. I know of no other rental communities that offer the amenities that you offer. The facilities are ageing and do require maintenance, but it still fullfills my choice. But the rent+ extras are high.

When I moved in this property was 6 years old. After 18 years it is showing its age. Various things need fixing, replaced or refurbished but I will NOT however put that on the maintenance team; Those are issues that need to be resolved by management company and owners.

Terrible place to live, the manager has no motivation in her personal life, clearly. This place has never felt like home. I’ve had to overcome numerous barriers and obstacles just to live here and I regret ever having lived here. I would recommend getting new management, and legal maintenance people. My information was sold by greystar In the past and will never stay with greystar communities again.

It took quite a while for the problem to be accurately diagnosed and fixed (over ten days) so I was not able to use the bathtub and shower in my main bath. No hot water. The maintenance staff is wonderful here though this was something they could not do themselves. An outside plumber was needed. It took so long for that to happen. The property Manager was very helpful when she got involved. So hope this fix is permanent. Not a pleasant experience for me.

Maintenance does their best but they always seem understaffed. Management team in the office is someone new every time we stop in. We like our unit for the view and natural light (3rd floor corner) but the exterior walkways don’t get power-washed or cleaned and the grass/grounds are not well kept. We were told our unit would have new carpet when we moved in and it did not, it was cheap carpet to begin with and after however many years is pretty gross now. There are lines on the ceiling where they either repainted and never went back to cut in along the wall or never finished painting. The holes in the wall from the previous tenant were not filled. Had to have maintenance come as we were moving in to clean out the fridge and drawers in the kitchen and bathroom. I have a friend that lives here and they worked with the leasing office to lower the rent rate when renewing their lease but we were told that rates are computer generated and not able to be changed at all for any reason (that’s a lie!!). They keep this place just maintained enough that’s it’s not in dire condition but there is nothing luxury about this place.

The staff in the leasing office is very nice and helpful. Maintenance responds very quickly and fixes all problems and emergencies in a timely manner. I love the pool area, it is always very clean and quiet. The neighborhood and apartment complex is also safe and quiet.

from okay to bad to worse

Moved into this apartment complex a little less than a year ago. I've read several recent reviews from the past 3 months. I'm surprised they are saying its clean and well kept with good security because it is NONE of those things. They must be paid and fake reviews 100%. they have zero experience in managing an apartment complex. they "re-painted" all the buildings over the past few months with what i can only call the worst hired crew of workers that werent managed at all. completely trashed the apartment complex. lets move onto walking around the apartment complex. there is dog ---- EVERYWHERE. i would say at least half of the residents with dogs all have AGGRESSIVE dogs. so its hard to walk your dog when you encounter someone else out where they can barely hold onto their animal that just wants to charge at you. or at least bark aggressively at your existence. the maintenance? or grounds-keepers? What would you call them here? They dont do any of that. go look at the apartments directly across the street, during fall into the winter, they hired proper groundskeeping to rake and blow all the leaves to keep walking and dog-walking pleasent near a GOLF COURSE. then look at this side of the street, it looks like complete ---. and you dont know if youll step in ---- from all the people not picking up their dog ----. hidden under several layers of leaves. lets move onto how "clean" our apartment was when we moved in. it wasnt. dirty tubs, every appliance needed maintenance and replaced. all the blinds are cracked/broken. and they charge 2700 a month LOL. and were talking about an apartment complex that borders highlands ranch golf course. the "front door trash service" is a joke. the employees walk up your stairs to retrieve the trash like they weigh 500 lbs and stomp each step in the afternoon when they come to pick it up. they let juices drip all over the ground so its all stinky even. the dog poop stations dont get swapped out until they are OVER flowing. all this is the REALITY of this place. over priced -------- slumlord apartment complex with a nice clubhouse to make you think that its nice because it borders a golf course and its in "highlands ranch" where everything is just so nice....

My only negative issue here at Creekside is the noise from the apartment above me. I realize it may not be the tenant's fault. It's probably inferior construction materials, but I can hear the tenant above me walking, talking and other routine noise.
